Notre note de départ a été considérablement majorée par des frais d’assurance dont le montant nous a semblé disproportionné. Que des frais supplémentaires liés à des taxes soient appliqués est entendable s’ils restent d’un montant raisonnable. Une mauvaise surprise au moment de partir. Dommage car c’est la seule fausse note de ce séjour pour le reste paisible et agréable.

Reviewed May 3, 2026It's a hidden gem in the center of Villa de Leyva with a lot of history and fantastic staff.
Some sensitive guests might be a bit disturbed by the noises caused by old wooden floors and/or going through the old wooden doors. It didn't bother me at all. But then it's also true that one cannot have it all. If you wish to stay in the colonial city center and feel the history, then it's part of it.

Reviewed Nov 1, 2025Este alojamiento es un lugar atrapado en el tiempo, cargado de la historia de la congregación, es muy cerca a la plaza principal de Villa de Leyva, el desayuno que incluía el alojamiento era delicioso y bastante grande, no te quedaras con hambre, en cuento a la habitacion era bastante espaciosa lo suficiente para que tres personas estuviéramos cómodas por 3 dias y por último la amabilidad y hospitalidad del personal hace que todo sea una experiencia perfecto

The location is perfect, just half a block away from the main square (or plaza), and accessible by car, so no need to worry about bags. Breakfast was served fresh and it was really good. The hotel has a charming colonial style with a lot of history. The rooms are big and clean, and the bathrooms have been renovated. I highly recommend this place. One thing: make sure to have your reservation receipt with you if you’re booking through Expedia/hotels.com.

The hotel was hard to find. Not because of its location, but because Google Maps kept getting confused due to some streets being pedestrian only.

Parking was limited and a little difficult to get in and out of.

The church is right in front. You will be getting woken up every day at 5:45 AM, 6:00 AM, 10:00 AM and 6PM by the bells. If you want to rest and have a good sleep DO NOT STAY HERE.

- Unfortunately there was no hair dryer available in the whole structure, and at night it can become chilly - Breakfast was rather basic (packaged cheese, no juice, no spices or pepper) - All things considered it ends up in the pricier end if we check price/service ratio
