J'ai tout aimé. Une expérience magique dans un cadre idyllique. La chambre superbe et une salle de bain incroyable. L'ensemble du personnel au petit soin, le petit déjeuner délicieux et complet. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir.

Très bel endroit. Au calme et magnifique château. Équipement complet. Deux très belles piscines . Restaurant gastronomique et service impeccable.

De n‘y être resté que deux nuits…

Het is een schitterend gelegen chateau in een bosrijke omgeving. Wij zaten in een vrijwel nieuw bijgebouw met ruime kamer/badkamer. Een douche zo groot hadden wij nog nooit gezien. Ontbijt met alles erop en eraan voor ieder wat wils. Buiten ontbijt onder grote parasols. Het dineren in het restaurant is een aanrader gewoon fantastisch. Verder zijn er twee goede zwembaden.

Helemaal niets.

Het is een erg mooi hotel in een oud Chateau. In het chateau is een mooie oude kamer te vinden en een balkon met prachtig uitzicht. Ontbijt was lekker en uitgebreid. Ontbrak aan niks.

Het zwembad voor volwassenen die aan de weg ligt mist echt een fatsoenlijk in en uitstap van het zwembad. Oudere mensen of die slecht ter been zijn die kunnen hier gemakkelijk vallen. Wij kregen een kamer in een bijgebouw op de 2e verdieping zonder lift. Dit was een domper om te sjouwen met onze spullen. Bedden zijn erg hard waardoor we met rugpijn wakker werden. Verder hadden wij last van een gast die nogal opmerkelijke dingen deed. Ga er niet verder op in maar dit hebben we gemeld bij de receptie. Hopelijk hebben er verder geen anderen laat van gehad.

Excellent accommodation with big, spacious rooms and comfortable bed. Restaurant is exceptional and good value for money. Staff were attentive. Gym is okay, mainly has cardio machines, but no free weights. Accommodated for gluten free at breakfast and dinner. Location is superb.

The breakfast was poor, only option for eggs was scrambled and overcooked bacon which after 3 mornings became quite repetitive (although the eggs were delicious!). Limited other options. The pool was full of flies.

De locatie was onwijs mooi. Alles zag er tot op de puntjes verzorgd uit. Restaurant was heerlijk. Personeel was vriendelijk, we hebben onwijs genoten.

Als ik dan toch iets moet verzinnen is het jammer dat je vooraf moet reserveren voor het eten, maar ook wel begrijpelijk aangezien het zo lekker is.

Since our last visit the restaurant has changed to only a tasting menu style so once you’ve done this you don’t want to do it again It’s also very foie gras focussed which I understand is a local delicacy but not to everybody’s taste Based on the fact that you have no other choice we wouldn’t visit again

Das Zimmer war sehr schön in der ehemaligen Remise mit großem Bad und separatem WC. Nur die Klimaanlage war etwas laut.

Good value for such a beautiful modernised property in a historic property in a stunning village close to the attractions of the Dordogne.

The dining was very haute cuisine. It would be nice to have some simpler family friendly options for dinner and lighter lunch options.

Un somptueux domaine superbement restauré, bien agencé et magnifiquement décoré, flanqué dans un paisible écrin de verdure du Périgord noir. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié le cadre enchanteur, le prestige, la quiétude, le confort du lieu ainsi que l'accueil chaleureux et l'amabilité de l'ensemble du personnel. Séjour dans la chambre « charme » du château, très spacieuse et bien équipée (climatisation, insonorisation, grande TV écran plat, Wi-Fi, machine à café, bouilloire électrique, minibar) et dont la literie est aussi très confortable. Café/thé et bouteille d'eau minérale offerts en chambre à notre arrivée ainsi qu'un minibar proposant des consommations fraîches à prix très raisonnables. Belle salle de bain avec grande douche italienne. De surcroît, toutes les fenêtres sont équipées de stores occultant électriques (bien pratique et efficace). Hygiène et propreté irréprochables. Vaste parking privé gratuit dans l'enceinte du domaine. Accès à la magnifique bibliothèque ainsi qu'au balcon-terrasse du château avec vue imprenable. Deux superbes piscines sont également accessibles dans le domaine dont une réservée exclusivement aux adultes. Chaque espace piscine est entièrement clôturé et dispose d'un bar, de parasols, chaises longues ou de plage en quantité suffisante. Les serviettes de bain sont fournies gratuitement à la réception sur simple demande. Côté cuisine, le splendide Restaurant gastronomique « La Table de Monrecour » propose une cuisine raffinée et élégante, instinctive et inventive, empreinte de créativité, d'intelligence et d'audace, une expérience sensorielle et gustative exquisément inoubliable ! Absolument à ne pas manquer si vous séjournez au domaine. Le petit-déjeuner de type buffet-continental est varié et copieux, toujours agrémenté de pain frais, de viennoiseries et de fruits frais. Sucré, salé, chaud ou froid, il y en a vraiment pour tous les goûts.

Hotelli ja huone, ympäristö ja henkilökunta kaikki yhdessä teki vierailusta todella miellyttävän. Jäimme kaipaamaan tätä hotellia. Kaikki oli meidän mieleen ja haluamme palata tänne vielä uudestaan.

Nos gustó todo, es un lugar precioso, tranquilo y con un personal de primera. Merece la pena ir a conocerlo. La cena espectacular!!!

Beau château, dommage que notre chambre se trouvait dans le bâtiment annexe, moins de charme. Bon petit déjeuner. Jolies piscines.

Le restaurant d'un certain standing avec un service qui n'est pas à la hauteur. Oubli de plat, plus personne au service avant même le dernier plat. Plat pour les enfants pas adapté aux enfants (viande presque entièrement faite de gras). Dommage.

Le camere negli annessi sono piccole con aria condizionata vecchia e rumorosa. L'aerazione del bagno non funzionante. Il bagno poco fornito di asciugamani e amenities.

The grounds and entire rstate were clean amd well kept. Staff friendly and helpful.the restaurant for dinner was magnificent location for my partners Birthday dinner celebration. We would love to stay again!

Cadre magnifique, calme mais avec beaucoup d'options d'activités aussi bien dans l'hôtel qu'autour. Les chambres sont belles et spacieuses. La piscine spéciale adulte derrière le château est vraiment un gros plus.

Het hoteldomein is een fantastische plek: de oprijlaan, het kasteel, het park errond, het is echt prachtig. De kamer zelf was ruim en heel proper. Het ontbijt was erg uitgebreid en in een mooie omgeving.

Todo, es absolutamente espectacular. Las habitaciones del anexo son nuevas, acogedoras y muy muy cómodas. Cerca de la piscina familiar y lo más importante, absoluto silencio para dormir.

El restaurante no es muy apropiado para familias con niños, la cena cara y no te dejan cenar en la terraza. Todo serio y demasiado formal para ir con niños.

Geweldige tussenstop tijdens onze vakantie in de Dordogne. Met onze kinderen ( 11 en 16) hadden we een familiekamer. Dit was eigenlijk meer een appartement met genoeg privacy vanwege de aparte slaapkamer. Een grote badkamer en in beide kamers een stille airco. Ook zijn er 2 zwembaden waarvan 1 ‘adults only’, dus gasten met of zonder kinderen konden lekker hun eigen plek zoeken. ‘S avonds in het restaurant genoten van een fantastisch 7 gangen diner.

De accommodatie was top, we komen graag nog eens terug met mooi weer.

Lieu parfait pour un couple ou en famille. Les chambres sont très confortables dans le château. Le petit déjeuner est très varié et la piscine est un plus. Très bien situé par rapport aux curiosités touristiques. Enfin le personnel est compétent et très sympathique.

Wir haben hier eine Zwischenübernachtung gemacht und waren begeistert von dem schönen Hotel. Es hat uns sehr gefallen und wir konnten komplett entspannen.

Really beautiful property, and very modern and large room with stylish touches. We loved the pool areas (there are 2 very nice pools!) and the gardens/grounds are just stunning too. The buffet breakfast was high quality with a great selection of food. The location means you're a little 'trapped' as you can't really stroll into town for a restaurant or cafe. But that's the payoff being a chateau on a large property!

We also enjoyed the restaurant, but felt it was a little over the top with multiple courses degustation. We would have been happy with something simpler a la carte. It was quite expensive in the end for the food and drinks that we had, and it definitely wasn't the best meal of our trip.

La habitacion era mas grande que lo esperado, con un baño amplio y muy comodo. El hotel esta muy bien isonorizado por lo tanto es un agrado descansar, tiene un ascensor amplio y 2 piscinas grandes con muchas reposeras y con vistas muy lindas. el parking es amplio y muy hermoso ya que esta con un jardin muy bien cuidado al igual que todo el hotel. El desayuno es simple pero muy amable la sra que lo atiende con todo lo necesario para deleitarse en la mañana ademas en la terraza al aire libre con una hermosa y tranquila vista.

que la piscina la cierran a las 20:00 horas en verano es una lastima pues el dia es largo y aun hay mucho sol para disfrutar hasta mas tarde

Beautiful building and location.

Availability of food was poor. Breakfast was awful and no availability to have bar food. Had one evening meal and it was spun out over 3 hours! The meals were far too fussy and not what I would call normal food.

Beautiful property, quiet surroundings, two pools (appreciated during the heatwave). Spacious room (in the chateau), staff was great, and the gastronomic restaurant delicious.

For longer stays, the menu at the restaurant might be a bit limited.

Dit was inmiddels onze derde keer bij Domaine de Monrecour, en het voelt nog steeds als thuiskomen. De prachtige locatie, de rust, de gastvrijheid en het heerlijke zwembad maken elk verblijf weer bijzonder. Een perfecte uitvalsbasis om de Dordogne te ontdekken. We kijken nu al uit naar de volgende keer!

Eigenlijk hebben we geen echte minpunten ervaren. Als we dan toch iets moeten noemen, dan is het dat we elke keer weer veel te snel afscheid moeten nemen van deze prachtige plek.

Très bel endroit, calme et agréable, belle piscine, chambre confortable et meublée avec goût (partie château), excellent restaurant.

Quelques petites insuffisance côté personnel par rapport au niveau de l'établissement (porte de chambre non refermée après le service de chambre, mauvaise communication entre réceptionnistes et service au restaurant un peu juste par rapport aux ambitions affichées). Mais tout le monde était gentil et attentionné.

Sehr schönes gepflegtes Hotel mit einem grossen Park. Grosse Zimmer, Badezimmer und seperates WC, alles sehr sauber. Gut gelegen um das Périgord zu erkunden. Qualität der Speisen im Restaurant sehr gut. Frühstücksbuffet war sehr gut, bis auf den Automatenkaffee.

Kaffee beim Frühstück. Bei den Speisen im Restaurant hätten wir uns etwas mehr Auswahl gewünscht. Am Abend konnte zwischen 3 Menus gewählt werden. Wäre Wünschenswert wenn noch zusätzlich etwas angeboten würde bzw. man zwischen den Menus tauschen könnte. Mit entsprechenden Preisanpassungen sollte dies doch möglich sein.

The over all environnement

We had a Traditional Double Room in the annex on the third floor . It was much larger than we expected with a seating area and coffee table and area for tea/coffee etc and double aspect windows with views over the beautiful countryside. Elegantly furnished and decorated and the bathroom was very large too with a large walk in shower and separate toilet. The buffet breakfast was excellent. We ate twice at the restaurant and chose from the €45 three course set menu which was more than enough for us to eat. The food was beautifully prepared and served and tasted as good. We also had two massages whilst we were there and this was organised for us by the hotel. They have a golf range and putting area too. There's so much to see and do in the area we didn't get round to golf! The two heated pools were fantastic and as we were there in early June had them mostly to ourselves . The bar staff were very attentive and served us drinks by the pools. Domaine de Monrecour is just a lovely place to stay just outside of Beynac so access by car to the local attractions is very easy. We would love to go back.

Just two negatives that we felt. Firstly if you were staying for a few days the restaurant does not change it's menu so we ate twice and therefore if we ate again we would be eating the same food again. There are plenty of restaurants locally so we went out to eat. The pool in front of the main house is beautiful but its got two deep steps to get in and out with no hand rails. We weren't the only clients to struggle with this and comment. Just a minor detail but a handrail would be great.

Clean hotel in an amazing location.

Their restaurant is a massive rip off. $250 for two people to have BITES of food. "Michelin" level arrogance with over 3 hours of total wait time in and around meal courses. They advertise laundry facilities, but after FOUR HOURS of running the dryer on all sorts of settings, even 1/3rd of a machine's worth of laundry would not dry.

Superb location in a lovely part of the Dordogne. Excellent breakfasts and restaurant. Staff very helpful. Our air conditioned 'charm' room in the original chateau part of the hotel was spacious and comfortable with great views. Although it required 74 stairs for access, the staff provided ready assistance with luggage. We enjoyed using one of the swimming pools.

A bit more variety in the good value taster menu would encourage guests to dine repeatedly, but in fairness some options were made available on request.

Tolle sehr gepflegte Anlage, hatten grosses 2 Bett Zimmer. Bad mit grosse Dusche. Sehr gutes Restaurant. Reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet. Gute Lage um das Dordogne Gebiet mit Auto zu erkunden.

Zuwenig Ablage im Bad. Stühle und Tische sind im Frühstücksraum beim aufstehen/ verschieben sehr laut, harter Fussboden. Filzgleiter würden helfen😉

Warmly welcomed by friendly, respectful and efficient staff, we were delighted by this charming chateau with style and elegance, renovated to a very high standard, enjoying breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. Firm mattress, crisp sheets, fluffy towels..... and generous-fitting bathrobes for once! Outstanding gastronomic menu for evening meal and copious varied breakfast. Lovely grounds to stroll around, a choice of two swimming pools and cottage style accomodation for non chateau guests.. Our elegant room on the chateau's first floor felt very grand. We loved it!

The outstanding gastronomic menu was not to be faulted, paired with not over-pricey wines, but a simpler menu for those staying more than one night and protective of their livers should perhaps be considered by the kitchen?!

Wonderful stay with many things to do the local area.

4 flights of stairs with all our luggage was challenging, but worth the climb. A bigger in-room refrigerator would've been handier for us.

The beautiful property was so much more amazing in real- life. We did not expect such a luxurious, grand estate.

The grounds, staff, and Chateau were wonderful. It was an oasis of peace and comfort following the fast pace of Paris. We enjoyed our stay and felt like we were only minutes away from so many places to explore and visit.

Vanaf de incheck tot het uitchecken was alles uitstekend verzorgd en geregeld. We overnachten in het kasteel en het was prachtig. Overal marmer en een badkamer voorzien van een yacuzzi, inloopdouche en van alle gemakken voorzien. De kamer met hemelbed en het uitzicht waren geweldig en vanuit de kamer konden we zo ons eigen terras oplopen. 's avonds hadden we een tafel gereserveerd en vanaf het moment dat we werden ontvangen voelden we ons " kasteelheer en vrouw " zo werden we benaderd. Het dinner met bijpassend wijnarrangement waren 5* waardig en voor herhaling vatbaar. Zondagochtend het buffetontbijt en ook hier was alle aandacht besteedt aan luxeproducten en heerlijke koffie. De service van de medewerkers staan op hoog niveau evenals het kasteel en wij willen deze accommodatie van harte aanbevelen. Wij gaan er zeker nog een keer naartoe om van de wellness te genieten wat we dit keer niet hebben gedaan. Verder hebben we zaterdagmorgen Sarlat bezocht en natuurlijk mee uitgebreide markt. Dit dorp is een Beaux Village en behoort tot één van de 90 mooiste dorpjes van La Douce France.

Je moet echt gaan zoeken om aan te geven wat tegen viel. Het enige dat wij vonden was een stekkeroplaadpunt voor hybride auto's. Er waren voldoende oplaadpunten voor volledige ev's maar voor hybride auto's hebben we niets kunnen vinden. Als daar ook nog eens de mogelijkheid voor zou komen, dan is dat helemaal het summum van top.

The evening meal was very special and the highlight of our visit. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel location was ideal for us as we did some sight seeing in the local area.

A few weight resistance machines in the gym would be good. Get rid of the multi station and install a high pulley, low pulley, a chest press and a shoulder press.

A Beautiful chateau, in the right locations. Staff is going the extra mile to make your stay memorable. Food at breakfasts were very good, but the dinners were excellent. A gastronomic experience that we can highly recommend! An absolute stunning place to stay!

une belle surprise!! ensemble recemment rénové les chambres sont bien insonorisées,très propres et, très grandes ! le cadre avec le chateau est enchanteur ; le restaurant encore une belle surprise, avec une grande salle adaptée, un personnel très professionnel (Tiffany ), une carte bien pensée et, une cuisine aussi légère que séduisante ; à l'accueil ils sont à l'écoute et, aux petits soins ; les infra structures viennent compléter cet ensemble pour un séjour réussi .....clairement j'y reviendrai !
