Riad Dar El Caid - Palais XIII Siecle

Un tuffo autentico nella storia della Medina Soggiornare a Dar El Caid è un vero viaggio nel tempo. È una meravigliosa dimora storica del XIII secolo nella Medina di Tozeur, ricca di arredi antichi e fascino secolare. A fare la differenza è la splendida accoglienza di tutto lo staff: dalla piacevole conversazione con il proprietario, persona di grande cultura, alla gentilezza di Jordi e alla premura delle due signore addette ai servizi. Ti fanno sentire davvero accolto. Chi sceglie questa struttura deve farlo per amore dell'autenticità: cercare la sterilità asettica o i comfort "monouso" da resort di catena significa non comprenderne il valore. Consigliatissimo a chi cerca storia, carattere e calore umano.

Al encontrarse dentro de la ciudad vieja (Medina) , no se puede acceder en automóvil y por ello hay que caminar un buen tramo para ingresar.

Un tipico dar tunisino, caratterizzato da colori vivaci e dettagli ricercati. Il palazzo é davvero magnifico, dietro il portone é difficile immaginare che ci possa essere un luogo cosí particolare. Gli spazi comuni sono davvero bellissimi…. il salottino, la piscina e la sala al primo piano attorno alla quale si aprono le camere da letto, sono particolarmente suggestivi. La colazione é completa e il personale gentile. La posizione è assolutamente strategica, ideale per esplorare Tozeur e i suoi dintorni.

Posizione un po’ complicata dentro la medina, non semplice da trovare con Google Maps in quanto dietro un portone di ferro con un’insegna quasi invisibile. Per raggiungere il dar chiedete ai residenti. Migliorabile l’illuminazione e per chi raggiunge Tozeur con la macchina non ci sono molti parcheggi nei dintorni.

Superbe endroit, personnel très agréable. Un petit peu bruyant car situé en ville. La piscine est superbe mais beaucoup de mouches par moment, ce qui ne permet pas d'en profiter à 100%. Déjeuner fort basique, pourrait être amélioré sans grand investissement. Je recommande néanmoins.

Absolutely gorgeous property. We appreciated all the care and attention to detail that made the property feel unique and inviting.

location is great and easy to find. host was awesome navigating us to the accommodation and where to park. The house is well equipped. We used the kitchen facility. did not get an opportunity to swim but can imagine in summer this will be benefit. Breakfast was good. living spaces are spacious.

Bed had a mattress that was not the full length of the bed and they fixed this by adding another mattress but the hight sizes were off so this was not very comfortable. Rooms are small. And it is pricy accommodation so I feel this lack in value for money. Had better accommodation for half the price in other cities.

Look like the photos. A little oasis in the medina. Very helpful host.

Todo ha sido excelente.

Detalles con la puerta del baño o fugas de agua en en WC, pero nada incomprensible o reprochable. Todo el personal y el Pasha en Jefe todo un personaje, valioso y respetable.

Il palazzo é davvero magnifico, quando si apre il portone é difficile immaginare ci possa essere un luogo cosí particolare. Gli spazi comuni sono davvero bellissmi e con molto charme, il salottino, la piscina e la sala al primo piano attorno alla quale ci sono le camere, dove viene servita la colazione dalla quale entra luce naturale da alcuni fori nel tetto.La colazione é stata abbondante e completa. L'atmosfera e la sensazione che si hanno é di stare dentro ad una favola ed inoltre il personale é stato meraviglioso durante tutto il soggiorno. La posizione é un po' complicata da incontrare, ma essendo dentro a una medina potevamo aspettarcelo ed in ogni caso é comodissimo per muoversi nel centro di Tozeur, per cena siamo sempre usciti e rientrati a piedi in totale sicurezza.

Per chi ha la macchina non c'é molto parcheggio nei dintorni. Inoltre, la manutenzione della nostra camera (forse siamo solo stati sfortunati!) lasciava molto a desiderare...le finestre davano su un cortile ed avevano gli scuri esterni non apribili dai quali passava molta poca luce e in piú le tende oscuranti avvolgibili sia del bagno che della camera avevano il meccanismo rotto, quindi con un accrocchio le abbiamo tenute a metá per avere un minimo di luce almeno in bagno. Infatti la luce della camera era molto debole e insieme al problema della tenda, non si vedeva molto bene nemmeno di giorno in pieno sole. Le dimensioni della camera a mio avviso sono davvero troppo ridotte o comunque gestite in modo un po' strano: l'idea delle tende alla ine del letto é molto scenografica, ma per andare a dormire l'unico modo era dal fondo del letto perché ai lati non c'era spazio, anche il bidoncino della spazzatura davanti alla porta rivestito di tessuto non mi sembra una scelta ideale...probabilmente sono sciocchezze superficiali e di poco conto, ma proprio per questo che mi sarei aspettata piú attenzione ai dettagli per il costo che abbiamo pagato.

Picture perfect common areas, great pool.

Room full of dust and dust mites. Repairs needed in the room, like they have covered a whole in a wall with a cardboard providing 0 insulation, hanging electrical switches. Very old bed sheets and towels. Uncomfortable mattress. Non-tuninsian owner making profit. Poor hospitality. Terrible breakfast (boiled egg, poor cafe, cartoon juice). It was our worst stay in tunisia. Look for a proper dar owned by local people. This property doesn’t deserve an 8 in bookinh.

The Palace is full of history and the staff was very helpful, also it’s very cozy and comfortable

MARAVILLOSO. El trato con el personal fue fluido des de el inicio, el hotel está en plena medida de Tozeur pero al entrar es pura tranquilidad. Cuenta con una zona inferior donde está la piscina y una parte superior con un salón precioso donde sirven el desayuno (muy completo) y habitaciones. La habitación tenía todo lo necesario y estaba muy limpia y cómoda. Además tuvimos la suerte de conocer a Jordi, el dueño, y su perrita Tiffany que nos robó el corazón ! Sin duda repetiríamos si volvemos

Petit dejeuner sans intérêt: surtout: jus de fruits chimique(qui a été remplacé en jus de fruits pressé sur notre demande, merci!) sinon ennuyeux: tous les jours 1 oeuf dur, pain, confiture, 2 vaches qui rit et un petit pot de yaourt, pas de fruits,..la facilité pas a l'hauteur de l'etablissement. Employees très gentils, emplacement au top dans le medina, trèss jolie riad et jardin: digne d'une magazine, chambre spatieux, bon douche, bon wifi au calme

Non c'era acqua calda né nella mia camera né in quella della mia amica. Il personale é stato gentile e ha portato un secchio di acqua calda alla mia amica, io l'ho vissuto con disagio non potere fare una doccia dopo una giornata di escursioni.

Other than the nice lady that served his breakfast, we really didn’t see any other staff than initial check-in. Although it was beautiful, some things didn’t work and the management did not respond to our multiple requests to repair a broken toilet seat. Mostly clean, but filthy under the bed.

This was our first visit to a Riad. Issam was most helpful. The arrangements made were excellent for the stay.

The steps to the bedroom floor were too high.

La casa es divina!!!! Es como sumergirse un rato en el mundo Tunecino. La decoración es inmejorable. El trato del personal es muy muy bueno. La habitación es cómoda. Aclaro que todo esto es si vas a buscar ese tipo de alojamiento. Yo quería eso.

Esta metida en el medio de la medina. Encontrar la puerta puede ser un poco estresante. Igualmente estan atentos a tu llegada. Secreto no hay que ponerse nervioso.

La situación y poco más

No estaba limpio, las toallas de la habitación estaban súper sucias. Entraba aire del exterior por la noche y hacía frío. Se veía un riad muy dejado y sin cuidado. El desayuno muy escaso, poca proteína solo cosas dulces.

Ambiente muy acogedor

Falta de receptaculos para basura en baño, y TV sin conexión abierta. No realiza aseo de cama.

Vieles: Zunächst hieß Booking hätte die Buchung annulliert was nicht stimmte. Dann sollten wir in ein anderes Hotel ziehen und nochmals bezahlen. Nach einigen Hin und her konnten wir in einen recht herunter gekommenen Zimmer bleiben. Anlage ist nicht gepflegt und in die Jahre gekommen. Zimmer und Betten nicht sauber. Indiskutabeles Prei-Leistungsverhältnis. Sehr durchschnittliches Frühstück. Wir raten ab!

It's a beautiful, atmospheric, traditional house in the Medina. The common areas of the house have been very nicely renovated and decorated. The owner helped me arrange a trip outside of Tozeur.

Whereas the common areas of the house have been beautifully renovated and furnished, in my room it was a different story altogether. The room was shabbily furnished with grubby old furniture in poor condition. The room was also inadequately cleaned. For example, the dirty scraps of carpet on the floor of the room and in the bathroom. Furthermore, while a heater was provided, it was inadequate, and the room was very cold at night. The photos on the Booking website in no way prepared me for the reality of the shabby little room I stayed in. I had supposedly booked a "deluxe" room. This was a poor joke. Given the photos on the website, my expectations had been high. This was the most expensive accommodation during my two weeks travelling in Tunisia, and the only place where I was not comfortable at all.

Charming place... it feels so comfy. The inner courtyard with the pool is an oasis you don't want to leave. The decorations and restoration of the place are remarkably well done. It's in the heart of the old town and you can only reach it by foot (which is charming but very confusing for my driver). It's hard to find in the labyrinth of the medina (google maps is not accurate there) but people around are really helpful.

Myself as well as other travellers reached the place to find nobody there. I was let in by another guest. The receptionist is friendly and reachable by phone, but since you don't have the WiFi password before arrival - and like myself most foreigners will not have mobile data on their phones - you actually can't reach the reception staff. You may have to wait for hours unless you find somebody to call him for you. I suggest leaving the password for the WiFi in the receptionist area, so that way, if nobody is there, at least you can contact the reception staff.

Très beau palais bien décoré et très bien rénové. En pleine médina à côté du centre. Excellent accueil et service à la carte: repas, massage, sortie tout à été organisé par notre hôte à nos horaires.

Un tipico riad tunisino, caratterizzato da colori vivaci, dettagli ricercati. Particolarmente suggestiva la piccola piscina, perfettamente inserita in un'ambientazione affascinante. La colazione è eccellente, con un'ampia varietà di cose buone. La posizione è assolutamente strategica, ideale per esplorare Tozeur.

Suggerirei di migliorare l'illuminazione. Inoltre, sarebbe opportuno aggiungere una porta al bagno per garantire maggiore privacy.

L'emplacement du Riad, le charme du lieu, la partie extérieure du Riad vous enchante au début.Mabrouka s'occupe de vous lors des petits déjeuners avec beaucoup de professionnalisme et d'attention.

Nous avons dû attendre que quelqu'un vienne nous ouvrir, nous étions dehors, personne pour nous accueillir. Nos enfants (1 couple + 1 enfant de 3 ans) n'ont pas eu la chambre réservée initialement. Après réclamation, ils ont dormi la deuxième nuit dans la bonne chambre plus spacieuse. À la demande du propriétaire nous avons dû laisser la nôtre qui était celle que nous avions réellement réservé pour celle que nos enfants avaient laissés, beaucoup plus petite. Apparemment le personnel n'avait pas le double des clés de notre chambre pour refaire celle-ci. Nous avons trouvé devant la porte un rouleau de papier toilette, deux serviettes et un drap. Pas de drap housse, pas de taies pour les coussins et plus de personnel dans l'hôtel. Je passe sur deux épingles dans la douche, une serviette déchirée et pas suffisamment d'éclairage dans les chambres. C'est vraiment dommage car le Riad est magnifique, le patio est très accueillant mais les chambres et clairement les moyens mis à disposition du personnel ne sont pas à la hauteur.

Literie très mauvaise. Nous avons changé de chambre la deuxième nuit car le matelas était très inconfortable. Mais ce n'était pas tellement mieux dans l'autre chambre. L'endroit est bruyant (chien) mais ce n'est pas de la faute du propriétaire. En revanche les vitres sont très fines donc l'insonorisation pourrait être améliorée. Le petit déjeuner n'était vraiment pas terrible (pas de produits frais). Bref le rapport qualité-prix n'y est pas, dommage car il y a un potentiel exceptionnel !

Bin durch einen glücklichen Zufall in diesem wunderbaren Dar/Palais,triffts besser,gelandet.inmitten der Medina von Tozeur,die durch ihre besondere Ziegelarchitektur besticht,liegt dieses edle,mit viel Geschmack eingerichtete Dar El Caid.Vielen herzlichen Dank an all die herzlichen Angestellten,besonders an Monsieur Essam und Mabrouka!!AYCHEK

Alles war wunderbar

Le personnel très attentionné. Le déjeuner est délicieux et complet. Plusieurs aires de détente à l’intérieur de l’hôtel. La piscine est très propre . En plein cœur de La Médina.

Bien que tout soit très propre, le tout aurait besoin de travaux mineurs. Dans notre chambre, il manquait de plâtre à certains endroits autour de la porte. Les fauteuils dans les aires de détente sont usés.

Le riad devait être magnifique, cependant rien n'a bougé, rien n'a changé depuis longtemps. Les espaces extérieurs sont magnifiques. Le personnel est au petit soin.

Le riad n'est pas facile à trouver dans la médina. La chambre très petite est plus que médiocre, ménage, literie, linge de maison... Elle donne dans la rue où des chiens ont aboyé toute la nuit... Ce n'est pas la faute des propriétaires. L'extérieur est magnifique mais pas du tout entretenu.. Nous avons vraiment payé trop cher par rapport à la prestation.

TODO. El contacto muy atento y ágil, disponible para resolver dudas. Instalaciones fabulosas y bien restauradas con decoración preciosa -en especial planta baja y exterior-. Ambiente de relajación inigualable. Desayuno sabroso, con fruta y tortilla casera. Ubicación más céntrica imposible aunque al principio te puedes perder buscándolo, pero vale la pena. Muy recomendable Café Beréber muy cerca (azotea).

No quedarme más noches. Le falta una mascota, como un gato o una tortuga.
