HOTEL & SPA Le Renard Centre

Historic building in the centre of Chalons overlooking the market square . Welcoming staff , room was very comfortable , breakfast buffet good and we were lucky to be able to park in the hotel car park . A glass of champagne before dinner : great start to our holiday in France .

La chambre était propre en revanche le temps a fait son effet... La literie était trop molle à mon goût avec un matelas je pense assez vieux. Toujours sur le lit, la housse de couette était mal mise dans le drap. Le petit déjeuné était quant à lui assez standard. Pour le prix je pense que cela pourrait être mieux.

La chambre donnait sur une terrasse fumeur immédiatement devant la fenêtre, donc peu d’intimité. La chambre mériterait d’être rafraîchie.

Chambre trop petite. Quand on se lève la nuit ,on se cogne à la télé qui est accroché au mur et on se prends le coin de table.pas idéal !!!

Zimmer schon etwas älter Föhn war sehr hoch angebracht Beleuchtung am Bett defekt Preis/Leistung stehen in keinem Verhältnis. Frühstück ist nicht inkludiert.

Der Marktplatz an dem sich das Hotel befindet schaut nett aus.

Leider überhaupt nicht das, was wir von einem 4-Sterne-Hotel erwartet haben Wir hatten bewusst eine Suite gebucht, da wir mit unserer 16-jährigen Tochter unterwegs waren. Die Suite befand sich jedoch in einem separaten Gebäude und war nur über mehrere sehr enge, stark gewundene Treppen mit schmutzigem Teppich erreichbar. Bereits auf dem Weg dorthin und auch in der Suite selbst herrschte ein sehr starker, modriger Geruch. Die Suite war zwar sehr groß, wirkte aber dunkel, alt und stark abgenutzt und überhaupt nicht wie eine 4-Sterne-Suite. Unsere Tochter fühlte sich in dem separaten Gebäude unwohl, weshalb wir um zwei normale Zimmer im Hauptgebäude baten. Das Personal war hierbei freundlich und ermöglichte uns den Wechsel – das war positiv. Leider waren auch die neuen Zimmer sehr enttäuschend: schmutziger Aufzug, viel abgenutzter Teppich, durchgelegene Betten, starke Geräusche vom Innenhof bzw. vom Marktplatz und insgesamt ein sehr abgewohnter Eindruck. Der Mini-Kühlschrank kühlte unsere Lebensmittel nicht, sondern machte sie sogar warm. Auch das Badezimmer war sehr klein und unpraktisch aufgeteilt: Die Toilette befand sich separat ohne Waschbecken, während Waschbecken und Badewanne in einem anderen kleinen Bereich lagen. Das Hotel liegt zwar schön an einem Marktplatz mit Bars, allerdings war es dadurch nachts sehr laut und bei offenem Fenster kam der ganze Qualm der Raucher hoch ins Zimmer während man bei dem Lärm versucht hat zu schlafen.Zusätzlich wurden wir bereits bei unserer Ankunft mehrfach von Bettlern angesprochen. Da wir auf der Durchreise waren , wollten wir dann Abends noch was essen ,ab 22 Uhr haben wir weder im Hotel , noch in den ganzen Restaurants drumherum nichts mehr bekommen ! Insgesamt waren wir sehr enttäuscht. Für uns entspricht der Zustand des Hotels weder dem Eindruck eines 4-Sterne-Hotels noch dem Preis, den wir bezahlt haben. Wir würden hier definitiv nicht wieder übernachten.

Alles.Het idyllische verblijf met ruime kamer,een mooi zwembad met schilderachtig zicht op de prachtige velden met een schouwspel van zwaluwen.Het geheel wordt omkaderd door de geweldige hosts Xavier en Elodie dewelke zorgen voor een excellente bediening en lekker eten!Een 11 op 10!

Mooi centraal gelegen hotel. Fijne bedden en eigen parkeergelegenheid.

De aparte toiletruimte in de kamer is erg klein. De verlichting in de badkamer schijnt door in de kamer waardoor in de nacht de hele kamer wordt verlicht bij gebruik van de badkamer.

Chambre familiale tout en haut (il faut monter des escaliers apres avoir pris l ascenseur). La climatisation a été utile. Bon petit déjeuner

Wir lieben Châlons und wir lieben das Renard. Wenn wir weiter nach Westen reisen, übernachten wir hier regelmässig und sehr gerne. Die Lage ist perfekt, mitten in der Stadt. Die Zimmer haben uns bisher nie enttäuscht. Hervorzuheben ist vor allem die Ausstattung mit einer Klimaanlage, was im Sommer ruhige Nächte garantiert. Auch Hunde sind willkommen und könne im nahen Petit Jard ausgiebig ausgeführt werden. Das Personal ist stets hilfsbereit und wir freuen uns immer auf einen Drink in der Bar. Auch das Frühstücksbüfett ist sehr reichhaltig und stärkt super für die Weiterreise. Parkplätze sollten unbedingt im Voraus reserviert werden.

we arrived at the hotel and had friendly greeting from the young man on reception. he was very helpful & informative, we had travelled to Chalon on our motorbikes, so we were offered the se of the secure underground car park. our rooms were very comfy, clean & had air conditioning which really needed as it was 30 degs during the day.the hotel location was right in the centre square of Chalon, so was ideal for sittng out in the square to eat and drink, it's a lovely town. very good value for money & would stay here again

Super plan centre incroyable

Perfecte locatie, zeer vriendelijk personeel en leuke champagnebar. Fijn dat er een overdekte parking is tegen een schappelijk prijs. Minibar met dagelijks nieuwe flesjes water, heel fijn met de hitte.

De badkamer en het toilet waren klein en wat vreemd in de kamer geplaatst waardoor de kamerdeur maar net aan openging.

Der Zugang zum Zimmer mit Zahlencode, die Karte wurde nicht gebraucht Der Code war auf der Karte aufgedruckt und wurde nicht geändert. Zugang zum Zimmer über Hof Jeder der das Zimmer vorher mal gebucht hatte, hätte jederzeit Zutritt zum Zimmer gehabt. War für mich beunruhigend.

Ce n’était pas un lit deux places, c’était deux lit 1 place coller. Le lit était pas du tout confortable, et ça sentait l’humidité dans la chambre. Il n’y avait pas de climatisation

The location of this hotel was excellent! It was not too far of a walk from the train station which was nice. The hotel was located in a town square amongst restaurants and shops.

Staff was lazy and hotel seemed like a place where drug dealers are based. Coming out from the hotel for early breakfast and finding a group of people drinking beers and cocktails is not great

the beds were very comfortable and the location of the hotel was great. Reception staff were very pleasant and helpful.

The room was poor. Repairs on the walls and not been painted over, could not get toilet paper out of the dispenser, the bathroom was in a sort of cupboard, had to drag suitcases up two flights of stairs as lift did not go to the top. The guy serving coffee in the bar was very rude. Not what I would expect from a 4 star hotel. ive stayed in nicer 3 star places.

Great location for a first night stop in France. The town has a great flavour. Hotel right in the centre .you can park outside free or in hotel courtyard if requested.

It would be helpful to be given the code for the car park before arrival to avoid having to wait in the car to check in to be given the code.

The staff were amazing. Contacted hotel prior regarding check in and also asked about the best way to travel to hotel from airport- quick replies and very helpful! Bed was very comfy, will definitely visit again!
