Bed & Bike Westpunt

Auf den ersten Blick ist das Bed & Bike Westpunt eine schöne Anlage mit netter Poollandschaft und coolem Konzept. Auch die Lage im Westen der Insel ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt zur Erkundung.

Das Restaurantpersonal war teilnahmslos und kümmerte sich wenig um die Wünsche der Gäste. Die Ausstattung des Zimmers ist sehr spartanisch und die Klimaanlage ist schlecht positioniert, sodass man in der Nacht nur mit starkem Luftzug schlafen konnte. An der Poollandschaft lag tagelang Katzenkot, da sich insgesamt viele Katzen im Hotel befinden.

De rustheid

De omgeving is heerlijk rustig en het zwembad en het strand zijn op loopafstand. Personeel was erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Mijn vriend was jarig en ze hadden ballonnen in onze tent opgehangen als welkom!

Wij vonden beide het matras te hard. En misschien een idee om de deur vast te kunnen zetten als je hem open wilt houden. Hij gaat door de veer automatisch weer dicht en op slot. Als je even naar buiten gaat om te zitten of naar de toilet, moet je er om denken dat je je pasje bij je hebt, anders kom je niet meer binnen. En wat meer drinkbekers in de keuken😉.

Great Location with pool and Bar. Cottages are Basic but in good shape and very clean. Community outdoor kitchen and ice cube dispenser.

Too expensive for the kind of amenities you get!

Great location in Westpunt, private, relaxing, tranquil, convenient! Loved that the restaurant stayed open late and had many options! Staff were very friendly and welcoming! Walkable to Playa Kalki, and having access to the beach club there is such a great deal! Pics of the beach are from the club property. Loved my little tent, had the shared bathroom essentially to myself!

The only time I got bit by mosquitoes/bugs during my week on the island was at the restaurant unfortunately. Maybe it's the cats? But honestly not even a big downside.

Beautiful site. The pool is an absolute standout it was stunning. So lovely to rest there during the day. We stayed in one of the proper hotel rooms and it was very cozy. Nice private bathroom. The rooms were cleaned daily. Nice little patio table we used. The beds were comfy. The common kitchen was nice after we figured out how to get groceries. The restaurant there was absolutely fantastic the food was some of the best we had on our trip. It's a bit pricier than other restaurrants but worth it. We didn't use the bikes but loved that it was free and you could just zoom around.

I wish we had a mini fridge in the room rather than just the common kitchen, but it wasn't far. If party vibes are what you're looking for I would say don't go here. Everything closes super early and honestly the place was pretty dead. Also there are no stores anywhere closeby, so you need a car to get around. The beach club is cute and great for lunch but pricey for what it was and closes so early, like 5:30pm. We thought it would be open later so we could have a drink in the evening.

The Privacy and quietly.

There was no phone in the room, so you can call FD. And no fridge, a small desk fridge would have been nice. The use of main fridge in the main kitchen is okay, but not everyone is as clean. To much cats 🐈 More pillows would be nice! We ordered at the restaurant, and the chef had to do my chicken again because it was not done properly. It is supposed to be a crispy chicken on a linguine pasta, which was not the case, and the chicken breast came smaller than the one before. For example, if there were no more chicken left, only that piece. Overall, the food had a nice taste. But for the next I will prepare my own meals!

This is a gem of a place! Close to beach (Playa Kalki) and others on the coast - staff is wonderful- our second year dropping in !

By far, one of the best places I've stayed. We had a private room with a terrace close to the pool. And the beach club's free entry was an awesome surprise; it's just a 3-minute walk, and we enjoyed the pool and happy hour watching the sunset. My favorite part was the cute cats in the area.

The shared kitchen could have more pots and accessories. Please contact an animal organization to sterilize cats and prevent them from reproducing without control.

Excellent facility.

Evening bartender was very young and inexperienced. Needs training on customer service. Needed adult supervision. Slow. Has potential. Evening chef was outstanding!!! Stellar. Evening random guy was lazy and was on his phone and iPad most of the time. Rarely helped young bartender. LAZY. As this is the only place to eat and drink after 6 pm it is a shame that staffing at night is so poor. Wasting a good opportunity for growing business. All day staff were excellent!

De kleine gaatjes in de tent waardoor er beestjes de tent in kunnen komen en het bed was erg hard. En helaas was er onderhoud in de ochtend, ze waren iets van tegels eruit aan het hakken wat veel lawaai veroorzaakte. Maarja, onderhoud moet ook gedaan worden. Wel jammer dat het net tijdens onze paar dagen was.

Ik vond het restaurant er minder gezellig uit zien. We hebben er niet gegeten of ontbeten. Dat deden we liever bij ons eigen terras

Thanks to that supervisor she help me to move to other room. who working morning shift she was wonderful. A beautiful place like that for the money we paying for deluxe. Surpose to get more service

Quiet hotel which we liked. The grounds are beautiful, with a large pool and plenty of chairs and hammocks. There is a security gate. There is an open air restaurant with breakfast, lunch and dinner options. I fed the cats outside of the restaurant. We had access to the nearby beach club which was walking distance, and that club is directly on playa Kalki. Most of the bikes have flat tires, unfortunately. But there are brand new basketball and pickle ball terrain which was fun ! The rooms are large and the bathroom is modern and clean. Staff is friendly :)

We were surprised that our mattress was quite hard. We think that a softer mattress cover could partially make it more comfortable. Would love to return if there was more places to travel by bike and if they were in better condition. Thank you

Some of the staff were clearly unhappy to be working there. There was animal waste (dog or cat) less than 10cm from the pool; I reported it, but it was never cleared. Additionally, the room doors often wouldn't open on the first or second attempt, which was quite annoying. To make matters worse, the shower drain was blocked, causing the bathroom to flood almost immediately

Það var langt í verslun um 15 mín akstur. Erfitt ef þú ert ekki með bíl. Internetið var daburt í íbúðinni en ágætt við skrifstofu og veitingasal.

Friendly and helpful Staff. Very good location, just next to nice hiking area, close to Kalki beach nad Grandi beach, You can easily walk. No problem with space for car. Even area seems to be very safe place there's a guard. They have a fine restaurant. Very good option if You rented a car.

Some details could be improve. Even with tropic climat warm water for shower would be nice, whole week only cold water. Some soap next to washbasin also would be nice.

Cerca de playa, muy atractivo el lugar. Elegí el sistema de carpa porque sólo quería alojar en el norte de la isla. Igual el entorno del Lodge es muy bonito, posee una excelente piscina la que se puede ocupar hasta las 23:00 y también tiene un buen restaurante. Internet funciona perfecto. Si van en auto hay varias opciones de restaurantes a un par de minutos y en general son muy buenos.

Habían muchos mosquitos en el sector del Lodge, y varios dentro de la carpa que nos hicieron una noche imposible. Se sugiere que coloquen un mosquitero. Lo otro es que era muy elevado el valor del alojamiento versus la calidad de la carpa. Estuve en Curazao en muchos hoteles bastantes más baratos y de mejor calidad, es por eso que a mi parecer este debería ser mucho más económico.

The facilities and acom8dation are not good, no power backup, you have to sleep for hours without AC, terrible very terrible. I did not get my money worth for the experience

Until 2am loud music, from which I couldn't sleep in the tent. I would have prefered another property had I known beforehand...

Personeel, onwetend , vaak was het te bestellen niet aanwezig. Ook wel beetje vreemd bike alleen voor accommodatie of anders al ingewikkelde procedure , hadden gedacht dat er ook elektrische fietsen waren

Las instalaciones son muy cuidadas y para desnchufar del ritmo. Pero a la tarde poco antes del sunset está bastante movido el beach club. Hace snorker en esa playa.. . una locura

The environment is super nice lots of nature. Is also peaceful.

We encounter a lot of fly infestation it was not normal. We couldn’t sit or eat normal due to the fly infestation. We report it at the desk but they didn’t really take it seriously or say they are going to do something about it.

I loved the pool area and the access to the Playa beach club, it is really nice, amazing view. The food is good at the restaurant, staff are very helpful. It is a quiet place to relax. You have one beach walking distance, and to the other ones, I suggest going by car.

A suggestion: a mirror inside the room. I did not have a full-body one, and I was hoping for one in a private room after staying in dorms with no big mirrors in the other two Bed & Bike hostels. Cats around while you are eating do not work for me. Wifi was not working well in my room.

La tranquilidad del lugar, con instalaciones preciosas y un concepto de alojamiento en habitaciones independientes con puerta vidriera a un pequeño deck para disfrutar el lugar. Excelente la opción de cocina con posibilidad de una amplia nevera para guardar los alimentos. La cercanía y servicios del Resort de playa con acceso a Kalki, poder estar allí en medio de los bares, piscinas, restaurante y demás servicios de playa o quedarse en Bed & Bike disfrutando la tranquilidad del lugar.

Los horarios del restaurante, un poco limitados, tal vez por la temporada baja, no nos permitieron disfrutar el menú de snacks y bebidas que se veía bastante bien.

Very relexing and quiet….Great for quality time with the family! Only thing i didn’t like was the bed. This was to hard for my liking but the rest was just perfect!

Very calm you don’t see almost no one and sometimes that’s what you need to disconnect, you don’t see much staff and it’s great because you feel free to do whatever you like without be controlled what happens in some hotels the fridge everybody puts there food and respect each others stuff it really felt great and save o and we put it was my birthday they decor the room with balloons I was surprised the girl at the check in was the best goes the extra mile for the client and in general the staff was friendly

The restaurant the prices a lil to elevated and food was not such a big deal it can improve that part. The shared bathrooms in the property was not the cleanest when we used the pool one was pretty dirty and was not a good feeling seeing that maybe more personal being constant checking the shared bathrooms

We liked the Beachclub, unfortunately it closes already at 6pm when where there. There are hardly any options for drink or dinner in the neighbourhood because they were all closed.

The staff was outstanding and friendly. The room, bathroom, and pool area were spotless. The air conditioner worked very well. Bed and Bike is a little off the beaten path, not in the city. This is not a fancy place, but more than adequate. If you are looking for a place to hang out and chill away from the crowds, this is the place. Now for the negative part. I rented a car from the airport. It took close to 45 minutes to drive to Bed and Bike Westpunt. There are few street signs, even though the drive did not have a lot of twists and turns, you want to drive while there is still light out. Most of the rental cars do not have navigational systems. While you have a cell signal at the airport, download maps.me. You do not have to take the paid site. The free site works just as well. I have service with Verizon. Even though I paid for the international service (12 a day), I could not make regular calls however, my internet did work!. If there is someone you want to speak with, have them download WhatsApp. I used it the entire time to keep up with family. One last thing. The drinks at the hotel are hit or miss. There is no bartender. There are no refunds for bad cocktails. Also, stay away from the smoked chicken unless you like your chicken red on the inside and crispy on the outside. I returned the chicken but was not given a refund. The wings were good, and so were the salads. They make yummy smoothies and great breakfast. Overall, I would recommend.

My experience is one of total relaxation, what me and my husband were looking for. When we want to get away from our busy work and want to relax we come here. We love it.

Gorgeous pool, hammocks bathrooms and shared kitchen. Super clean. We stayed in a cabana and loved it great AC. Food was fabulous and staff so friendly. It was a 10

Really nothing we disliked! It’s a great and relaxing place with a beautiful beach (with beach club) very close by. The facilities are great and we truly enjoyed our stay!
