Reviewed Sep 15, 2026Spacious, well equipped and clean apartment. Located in the old town on a pedestrian street.
The house is quite old with noisy wooden floor and weird plan, although one may like such authentic atmosphere. Bedroom windows are to the garden near church, so it is hard to keep them open during the hot summer night, because of bell is rings very loud. The curtains are a bit short, so the light comes yearly in the morning. It was not easy to sleep well.

Reviewed Aug 7, 2026A fantastic space for our family (2 adults and 2 kids), huge rooms, very comfortable, and the location is ideal. Close to countless cafes, bars and restaurants, and Thun is a great town.

Reviewed Apr 8, 2026Gut insgesamt, nun wenn man Ruhe sucht ist es wahrscheinlich nicht perfekte Variante. Kirchen Glocken und der knarrende Boden von oben, was man auch verstehen kann, da da Haus uralt ist :) Im Sommer wird es kaum möglich das Fenster zu öffnen, ohne alle Restaurantsgerüche geniessen zu müssen.

Reviewed Mar 19, 2026Es ist ein sehr schönes Apartment in der Innenstadt. ACHTUNG: Man darf mit dem Auto nicht zum Ausladen bis zur Tür fahren. Alles andere ist OK. Es gibt sehr viele Vorschriften, was man darf und was nicht!
Beim Ein- und Auschecken gab es keine Flexibilität. Sehr viele Vorschriften. Man bekommt ständig gesagt, was man nicht tun darf. Sehr strenge Regelungen!

Trittschall lässt sich in einem Altbau leider nicht vermeiden; für das TV wäre eine Bedienungsanleitung hilfreich

Reviewed Sep 9, 2025The apartment was bigger than expected and it is in a good location. The place might look old from the outside but inside it was very modern furnished. The restaurants and bars are located within a few steps outside the building. The train, bus and ferry is a small 10 minute walk. The host is very responsive whenever we have a question. After booking the host will provide you with all the details and information around the area. So if you are looking for somewhere to stay and everything is within range then this is the place to stay. We will definitely come back.
You can hear the walking of the upper neighbors but we didn't have any problem with that. The parking can be expensive in the parking garage (around 24 chf a day).

An elevator would be nice but the one flight of stairs was not bad.

Reviewed Aug 12, 2025The location was great. About 7 min walk to the train. Great distance to se everything in Thun. Cosy and pretty interior in the apartment.
We were 6 so we used all the beds. The bunk beds and the sleeping sofa aren’t the most comfortable. There was even room to have a real 2. bed in the bedroom. The main annoyance when being 6 was the lack of plates and cutlery, there was only 6 of each thing. That meant we had to start the dishwasher after every meal.

Austattung im Bad etwas dürftig. Föhn dürfte mal erneuert werden ;) ansonsten alles prima!!

Reviewed Apr 18, 2025We booked this stay last minute as we had nowhere to stay so we didn't know what to expect but we are so glad we found this gem! The location was great, about 5mins walk from the train station. The beds were soooo comfy. Huge apartment, loads of space. Nice strong shower with hot water. And the host was really excellent, considering how last minute we were with the booking she was so quick to reply and get us checked in. Couldn't fault it.
No elevator that we could see but only one flight of stairs anyway.

Reviewed Oct 3, 2024The apartment was clean, comfortable and in a fabulous location. The kitchen was well fitted out. (No microwave, but that’s not a problem.) The bed was very comfortable and probably the best of all was the SPACE! It was lovely to not feel cramped.
There can be a lot of noise from the apartment above. Not because guests are being rowdy, but because of the loud creaking of floorboards as they move around. If you are unfortunate enough to have people above you who are VERY early risers (around 5:30AM), you have no chance of sleeping any longer.

It would be good to warn people the clock tower rings so much (Every 15min 6am to 10pm). The wifi is VERY slow. The apartment could use more decorations to not feel as empy
