Absolutely fantastic stay! Clean, large apartment with hot tube, good area. We will definitely come back
What a stunning lodge! We said we could literally live in it. Everything you need in the kitchen, even with tea, coffee, sugar and milk. Bathrooms were amazing and spacious, beds comfy and views beautiful. Finishing touch was the hot tub although you can't make it hotter. Fab that certain activities are included and we never had a problem being able to do what we want when we wanted. Totally relaxing getaway and will definitely be back!
Nothing
Very clean and modern lodges. Perfect for a family of five with a whewlchair user, lots of space and flow lwading outside onto balcony works well for interaction.
Unfortunately our view did not have a valley view as expected. But we weren't too disappointed by this because we had a very private outdoor area with hot tub and dining table and we could soak up the views on our walks. However, it should not have veen advertised as "valley view" if it waa not!
Breakfast was good as was the evening meal.the lodge was excellent and very private
Really loved it! Just wish we’d booked longer. The lodges are so nice and well equipped.
We had a lovely stay at The Mole Resort. The lodge was really clean and comfortable, and the beds were great. The location is beautiful and made the whole stay feel really relaxing. We’d happily stay again.
The food in the restaurant was very nice, although unfortunately we felt slightly neglected during service. We did highlight this on checkout, and we hope it can be improved.
Location was good, hot tub was excellent. The lodge was very clean and modern.
Nothing that we could think of.
Everything! The property was immaculate with high end fixtures and finishing. I was slightly apprehensive that it may not live up to the online images but it exceeded them! Truly wonderful! The site was well laid out and easy to navigate. Beautiful surroundings and many little touches that made it feel special and unique.
My only feedback I could give for the lodge would be some guidance on what colour bins for the recycling categories. That is literally it in regards to our accommodation. On site the pool was great, albeit could be a tiny bit warmer! And the sauna/ steam room and jacuzzi a welcome treat as I certainly get colder in the pool before the kids do! The main issue of the resort is the swimming changing rooms. They are very dated, could have been cleaner and it smelt terrible. We held our breath and dashed back to our lodge in our towels as it really wasn’t very pleasant.
The beautiful setting, all the places to hang out on site (the games room, the deckchairs), the jacuzzi and the lodge was gorgeous and comfortable.
The swimming pool was quite cold and not very child friendly. Some lodges had the hut tub included but others didn't. When getting a toy out from under the sofá there was food from the previous guest's meal there.
Fantastic place where you can unwind and relax. You can be as involved and entertained or secluded and quiet as you want. Lodges and facilities are amazing. Plenty of things to do if you want too. Highly recommend.

Excellent views , location and amenities
Pool could do with update and include kids activities
The panoramic views of the rolling Devon hills, Exmoor and surrounding area were AMAZING. The location is great. The detached lodge was very spacious and really comfortable and really great for a family. The lodges have been built to a very high standard. Huge balcony which is secure so very safe for young children. The beds were very comfy, bathrooms were spacious and the lodge was always really warm. Loads of storage, shelf and hanging space in each bedroom. There was a huge cupboard for luggage and a huge lobby for coats and shoes. Really well thought out floor plan. The area of the resort we were in was exceptionally quiet. Peace and quiet was bliss The staff were absolutely brilliant and really helpful before and during the stay and keen to help out guests. There were some nice play areas for children and plenty of grass areas to run around. The grounds were very landscaped and really well maintained. Car parking was private and right next to the lodge front door. The Staff we saw were working hard and appeared very happy The chittkehamholt village shop run by volunteers is in the car park of the village hall. It is a 5 minute walk from the resort, well stocked and normal prices. Houses in the village sell eggs and fresh local produce
The outdoor swimming pool was closed. As was the Bistro. The shop has very little stock - a few drinks, crisps, ice cream and some milk. The indoor swimming pool was freezing cold and run down and the changing rooms were very shabby and dirty - this was disappointing considering the cost of the accommodation. The lodge had some downfalls too - only 1 towel per person (we did bring our own hand towels and towels for drying our hair), only one hairdryer in a 8 person lodge, only 2 clothes hangers per person, only one tea towel (we brought our own). The oven and under the beds needed a good clean. At the swimming pool towels were £1 per person per swim. All the activities have a high charge. These things make you feel as though the lodges are very over priced. It needs more for younger children like a Soft Play and with so many unused spaces and empty function rooms it would not take much to really make this a real family resort The lodges and location are truly fantastic but for the overall cost some of the facilities, amenities and charges really let this place down compared to other resorts.
The property was wonderful. Great views, finished to a high standard. Great hot tub. Lovely furnishings and we could park right outside. We loved it. Better than Centre Parcs lodges. There was also a dog welcome box which was a nice touch, containing a blanket, poo bags, bowl and toy.
A minor thing but no downstairs toilet but two bathrooms upstairs made up for this. The resort has a lot going for it. Lots of free activities for kids. The swimming pool and hot tub has a great view but the changing rooms are really shabby which is a shame because the rest of the resort is wonderful.
Very clean, well equip, peaceful, modern/contemporary. Great customer care, nice Hub shop with goodies, great pizza & bar/take out & delivery service. Beautiful grounds.
No shelf in the main bathroom. Activities not quite as expected, could do with proper archery & golf & outdoor pool for heatwave! Pool changing rooms require upgrade.
Where it is located also the views are amazing. It’s my 4th time staying there.
Nothing at all
We stayed in the 2 bed lodges, and they were perfect. The onsite activities were great for the kids, and the hot tub was amazing. The kitchen was equipped well, the beds were super comfy, and the WiFi worked perfectly! Already booked to go back.
Nothing!
Lodges exceptional - superb all round facility
The pool felt dated and tired
We spent 4 days at The Mole Resort and really enjoyed our stay. I would definitely be happy to come back again. There are lots of activities for both children and adults. We stayed in a Meadow Lodge and the view was lovely. It was peaceful, comfortable and a great place to relax.
Everything was perfect!

Absolutely stunning lodges, set in a beautiful landscape overlooking the valley. Everything you need is catered for in high quality. Bifold doors were amazing to open the doors in the hot weather.
Only issue was the hot tub temperature was set at a very high temperature with no way to change the settings as it did not have no temperature control. We stayed in a heat wave so didn’t need the temperature to be 40 degrees. Be aware the area has lots of small lanes, and local grocery shop is very limited. Nearest Sainsbury’s is about 7 miles away from the resort

Lack of a/c, fans and outdoor pool out of action without notice. Starting to get a little worn.
Great stay in one of the lodges. It offered everything we needed and was very well laid out and furnished. It was surprisingly quiet considering the size. Lots to do, such as tennis using the pool and the hot tub -especially popular with the kids-. Food at the restaurant was lovely. And we saw hedgehogs at nighttime which was very special.
The pool as a old and is in need of a refurbishment. I‘m sure that when I booked the holiday an outdoor pool was advertised but had since been closed, which was a shame. The lodge was surprisingly creaky considering it seems very new. Activities offered were great fun but a touch pricey.
Spotlessly clean. Well laid out. Comfortable large beds. Bath and shower options. Hot tubs was glorious and clean.
Could have done with thicker curtains downstairs to block out the sun.
Location and lodge were stunning. Activites to do on site, extra cost and free options too.
Although booking.com say it include the hot tub this is an additional cost. I also paid extra for dogs and then after booking i received an email from the lodge to say it would be extra per dog per lodge. I spoke with the resort and they were happy to sort these problems though. Restaurant was not worth the cost and closest shop is a 20min drive
The lodge was excellent and could not be faulted.
Pool was average and in need of an upgrade with changing facilities very basic.
Staff really friendly & helpful. Archery lesson great fun! Beautiful setting; we loved how relaxed and welcoming the vibe was.
Accommodation was mid-sold on the website - it was not made clear that our accommodation would be attached to another family’s. We go on holiday to get away from having neighbours living on top of us - & this detail about the accommodation was not made clear when we booked. It felt a bit naughty & misrepresents what was actually being sold in the photos & description. We had 2 autistic teenagers in our group & were looking forward to having the space offered by the single, one-storey cabins, which your lovely receptionist explained were reserved for larger groups. It didn’t ruin the holiday, because the facilities meant we were out a lot, but we couldn’t relax & sit outside to play family games of an evening, due to having young children next-door. It meant we used the balcony & hot tub hardly at all, which was a huge disappointment for all of us.
House was nice Bed was comfy Water temp was easy to control Clean & spacious Very modern Beautiful country view. Casting on tv was good
Bins wasn’t labeled clear enough Cooker wasn’t working & no manual Sink water was slow draining £45 for Breakfast produce but no oil was provided to cook with or butter etc. If you provide a package, should be everything that requires for that breakfast. They didnt provide any cooking essential but also didnt specify how far a supermarket is as the lodge is very remote. Hot tub should have temperature control & we had kids & was too hot.
لرحلة عائلية افضل مكان البيت كبير جدا ويحتوي على جميع المستلزمات . الطاقم رائع جداً واي طلب او مساعدة دائما في الخدمة .

Beautiful views and lovely big lodge
Due to our increasingly hot summers the lodges should absolutely have air con. To describe yourself as luxury and not have air con seems unrealistic. We had to go out during the days to escape the heat of the lodge and we couldn’t open the doors or windows as there was so many wasps & flies around too. We had to Hoover up a few cobwebs missed by housekeeping and the outside space was quite drab and rundown, didn’t match up with the lodge. Also as we booked a dog friendly lodge we wanted to go for dinner and bring our small dog, unfortunately they said she wasn’t allowed in the restaurant unless we sat in the cellar section which doesn’t have any windows which was a shame, luckily every single pub, restaurant & eatery we went to around North Devon did allow our dog
Yes although it was quite a way from the main resort hub and restaurant.
On arrival, there were cobwebs, chewing gum a sharp piece of plastic or metal on the decking. It was also an ashtray full of dirty cigarette ends. I did make a complaint to reception and somebody came later that day to remove it. Also, when ordering through the Mole app which we had been instructed to use on arrival, I found the menu to order meals to your lodge. Unfortunately, on contacting them via WhatsApp they told me that they were not serving meals from the menu that is on the app anymore. This was really disappointing as they clearly had advertised the menu on the website and we have been instructed to order from the app on arrival. They could’ve given a message to the reception staff for arrival it wasn’t available too, because they were not saving Food the rest of our stay either.. I must admit if we had known this before we booked our stay with them, we may not have stayed there. In the end, we decided to order from the New menu which was sent to me via WhatsApp, which appeared to be from the main restaurant in the hotel. The prices were considerably more for each meal. Nevertheless, we decided to go ahead and purchase two burgers and fries. Considering the exceptionally high price, and the fact that they were coming from the restaurant, we would have imagine the burgers and fries to have come with extras, as described on the menu. Unfortunately, this didn’t happen. They were quite un appealing and definitely not worth the £20 each we paid for them. The staff were very apologetic regarding us not being told about the menu change and the fact that the Food would not be available for the rest of the week. Everybody was polite and clearly wanted to make an effort. That said if the effort had been made before we had settled into the cabin, then the review I am writing would have been much better. It’s such a shame because it is beautiful surroundings within nature and very relaxing, especially with hot tub.
Thoughtful, spacious and well-designed, in a beautiful location.
Outdoor pool was boarded up! The management and restaurant failed to take initiative of a special occasion. Great for getaways/holidays but not to celebrate family occasions.
Modern and clean lodges in great location
The lodge we stayed in was super clean and well equipped, couldn't fault it. Beds were very comfortable. The views were amazing and it was very peaceful. The hot tub was a very welcome addition to our stay.
There was absolutely nothing we didn't like about our stay.
Huisje. Ligging in het groen. Vriendelijke sfeer.
Onduidelijkheid over zwembad. Er was een binnenzwembad maar dat stond niet duidelijk op de kaart. Op de kaart stond een outdoor pool maar die was niet bereikbaar of beschikbaar.
the lodge was very spacious, well equipped and had beautiful views
quite a steep hill to climb to activities, might be a struggle for people with limited mobility
Loved our stay overall. Great to have bifold doors onto the balcony and we appreciated how well equipped the kitchen was, as well as the lodge being walking distance to the local village pub. Beds were comfy, and it ticked a lot of boxes for a group/family break. Would be happy to go back again.
Some of the valley view lodges have partially obscured views over the valley in the summer when the trees in front are in full leaf. It was exceptionally hot during our stay so I requested 2 fans but only one was provided and my message requesting the second one was never answered. The living room could do with some low level lamps to soften the lighting. All pretty minor things, overall we were very happy with our stay.
Hot Tube, Size of the Premises, View
Was expecting a golf course nearby, but was apparently closed recently. The house needs some additional sun protection, otherwise it is difficult to sit outside during the day if it is hot and the sun is shining.
The hot tub was nice and the beds were comfy, the fridge was great.
There were 4 wasps when we first entered the lodge and I got stung but after that we never saw anymore, the lodge was far too hot to sleep in upstairs, the pool and 'spa' looked really run down and the outside pool wasn't open as in hot weather too many people would want to use it apparently! This was advertised and still is but not open. In the run down indoor pool there were never more than 3 people so I don't know how it would be too busy. It really needed an air conditioned bar or somewhere to get relief from the heat. I did complain and was given a fan.
Lodges we're very clean. We had a dog friendly lodge and there was no evidence of previous dog.
It was exceptionally hot weather Er and there were no fans or parasol on the balcony.
Modern, clean & everything you need down to the last detail!👌🏽
Nothing
Beds were comfy. Good layout of lodge We enjoyed the activities available, although it was too hot to do many. Not too busy so we could play pickleball and go swimming when we wanted to. Lots of deck chairs to sit on around the site overlooking the Devon hills.
Too hot in the lodge, although it was thirty degrees outside We could have done with air conditioning, or a couple of fans at least. Do a good shop before you arrive as there is little nearby other than the community shop and a few commodities on site.
Loved the resort and the accomodation was fantastic. Loved the hot tub The acvomodation was clean and comfortable Location great. Loved the open access to the pottery making
We had a few issues related to communication difficulties that have been dealt with post visit very competently by Jasmine.....thank you Also I think a little more crockery and cutlery would be useful in order to be able to utilise the dishwasher
Great location, lovely views & peaceful. The Lodge was a great size, plenty of space for 6 adults.
The outside veranda was lovely & big however, could of been cleaner. We had to clean the small table. It was thick with dirt & dust. Leaves still scattered around & so many cobwebs. Didn't feel very clean. Shelfs we're dusty in the bedroom.
Very clean and comfortable lodge, beautiful views
A little lacking in kitchen equipment eg. No large glasses
The lodge was superb, as was the view from it. The private hot tub a lovely way to end the day. The meal in the restaurant was also very good. We also enjoyed the pool table/table tennis and disc golf.
The signs need removing for activities that are not there anymore. They could do a lot more with the space/atmopshere for the games area - make it more inviting, have a better selection of drinks available to buy from the bar there, rather than having to go down to the restaurant.
Cisza i spokoj. Duzy domek, przestronny i czysty
Basen kryty moglby byc czystrzyszy, slady pleśni i poobdzierane sciany. W domku sciany tez mozna by odswiezyc, pelno plam. Taras wymaga czyszczenia. Cena zbyt wysoka do jakosci. Oplata 20£ za psa za noc to troszke za duzo, nigdy tyle az nie placilem.
Felt like a home from home. Everything was great quality and felt sturdy. Very well equipped throughout
Noise from adjoining cabin. Did get quite warm and no fans/ac, especially in the bedrooms
Lovely location - roomy and comfortable lodge. Ideal for 6 of us. Plenty to do if you wished.
The inside was very clean but, unfortunately, the outside had been neglected. Algae on the glass balcony surround, also on the chairs outside. We had to take cushions from inside to avoid marking clothing. There was also an ashtray full with butts on the balcony. I did report upon leaving and was advised it would be highlighted to maintenance team. It is a shame as the rest of the lodge was spotless.
Stay number 3 at the Mole Resort. This time we stayed in the Meadow lodge. It was the same standard of clean we’ve experienced before. The lodges are a home away from home stocked with everything you could need! There is something for everyone at this resort. I was in desperate need of a reset and this trip provided it. We met some amazing families, it was like a little community. Having your own hot tub is always a plus. Grounds to walk around and beautiful views to see are a bonus! Variety of sports to play; tennis, picket ball and football. Indoor pool always a winner. My 8 month old loved the water. The hub with all the games was a hit as usual. Big screen to watch the World Cup and Wimbledon. Always grateful for the staff and you can see they work extremely hard to keep everything running. Is it too soon to plan the next one 🤣
Outdoor pool boarded up this time around but there was so much more to occupy our time, the children didn’t notice!
It was a beautifully designed and presented property, all the equipment was to hand.
I wasn’t aware that the property would be joined to another and there would be an interlocking door between them in the lounge. It might have been my oversight but I wouldn’t have booked an adjoining lodge.
Accommodation is great, lists of facilities and activities.
The location of the lodge was nice
The dog hair, lack of cleanliness
The location is beautiful, surrounded by nature and very peaceful during the day. This was our second visit, and we really enjoyed the overall setting, views and the concept of the lodges. The resort has great potential and offers a relaxing environment, especially for families.
Unfortunately, this stay did not match our previous experience. The lodge was extremely hot (over 30°C at night), making it very difficult to sleep, especially with a young child. We were advised to open windows. Although we requested a fan, it was only provided on the last night, which did not resolve the issue. We also experienced noise from neighbouring lodges late into the evening (talking, jacuzzi use, dog barking), which carried easily and disturbed our sleep. This could be better managed, particularly in a family oriented resort. Communication could be improved. We were not informed about the additional towel charge at the leisure facilities, which made the checkout experience uncomfortable. There were also small details missing, such as basic amenities in the changing rooms and overall attention to guest comfort. I also followed up after our stay but did not receive a response.
Our lodge was beautiful and so clean. The place was peaceful and relaxing. Food in the restaurant was excellent. Carly in the spa is brilliant - we had a very good massage each.
Parts of the swimming area definitely need an upgrade to match the other parts of the resort which are high standard.
As good as the pictures and extremely well laid out front and back

Very nice lodge, peaceful location. Selection of activities. Restaurant food was very nice. Would be 10/10 with more attention to detail.
Indoor pool isn’t great needs refurbishing as do the changing rooms. Outdoor pool closed. No EV chargers, bar courtyard needs a tidy, lodges need air conditioning.
Lovely location, beautiful lodge. Impressed with grounds, games room, reception , tennis and dog area.
The swimming pool changing facilities let the rest of the resort down. Improvements needed.

The setting is beautiful, great position on a hill with stunning views. On paper the activities & facilities were impressive.
The outdoor pool is only open in August, yet advertised as a feature. The indoor pool (singular, advertised as pural) was closed for part of the trip. The activities were not available It was exceptionally hot in the cabin and we were told numerous times a fan would be dropped off, which never arrived. We had small children who then didn't sleep as a consequence. I told all of this was acknowledged and raises with senior management and then when I asked what the outcome was, I was ghosted.
It was so nice and plenty of space!
Nothing except it could’ve used some salt and pepper in the cupboard
Beautiful lodges in a pretty setting, plenty of room around each lodge, lovely bathrooms and well equipped kitchen, great outlook
Only downside was the outdoor swimming pool that’s no longer in use, should be taken off the website if it’s not available
Been staying there several times... that says for itself
nothing
This was my first time staying in a lodge at the Mole Resort; I have stayed in other parts of the premises before and enjoyed it. The lodges are exceptional though! I absolutely loved my stay there! I plan to book again for longer in the future. It was so beautifully decorated, plush soft carpets, fresh and clean, really well equipped in the kitchen and a really nice and comfortable hot tub! Oh and the beautiful view! Just exceptional.
Nothing. It was all fabulous.
It would have been better if they could have kept people with dogs not on adjoining property as the barking could get on your nerves
Everything and more!
Quiet, beautiful setting. Friendly helpful staff. Very dog friendly!
This was our second time to The Mole Resort - we love it there. The lodges are modern, clean and have a homely feel to them. The lodges are also set in beautiful surroundings. The staff are always very welcoming and extremely helpful. We will be back again!
Nothing
Gorgeous modern lodge, very cosy and comfortable. Fabulous location & grounds-all well kept. 8/10 because of poor housekeeping.
Housekeeping needs serious improvement, floors were not cleaned appropriately ie dog poo bags under the beds, some dirt still on floors, no dusting had been done, all kitchen plates, cups and glasses were dirty and greasy. We had to put everything through the dishwasher supplied but we had no kitchen utilities ie washing up liquid or dishwasher tablets until the following day despite contacting the main hub first thing. Some attention to detail re outside of lodges and terrace, sweeping up and making it look more appealing & presentable to customers staying.
The property was clean, well maintained and tastefully appointed. It was spacious and had everything we needed.
I was slightly disappointed that the pool was closed whilst we were there, as it meant that we missed out on this, however, I understand maintenance has to be done.
Very clean and peaceful
Nothing
Lodge was fantastic. For us, close to my son on the Lichfield Estate.
Poorly stocked bar and £25 charge to extend checkout for an hour to 11am.
Lodges are lovely, lovely location and love the hot tub. Very comfortable and spacious set in lovely grounds.
Stayed here a few times over a number of years but more recently it's gone down hill, recently back from a stay and of 2 nights and had no shower in both bathrooms until the second evening after being reported a number of times along with the tv not working properly. The first night maintenance came and couldn't sort either, even though the shower just needed a washer and tightening up, after finally getting both sorted there was no apology of any kind. You left us with no shower facility for most of our stay without a simple sorry. Kitchen has only 4 of knives, forces ect although we only had 3 of some, no baking trays. The menu on there app and website are wrong, also £20 for a small very average pizza.. Shop is very limited stock and what is their is very pricey. Wasn't even asked at checkout was everything OK. Very disappointing as it's been great in the past and this was supposed to be a treat for my wife's birthday, don't think we will be returning which is a shame because it was one of our favourites.
The lodge was lovely, had everything we needed. Clean, tidy, amazing hot tub. Lovely quiet location. Perfect!
The resort is down lots of very narrow lanes, wasn’t a problem for us but something to be aware of.
Clean, modern & well equipped
Proximity to neighbours! All was well until our neighbours began a very loud domestic mid-morning which rekindled in the evening and continued till very late! - more than adequately fuelled by alcohol! Unfortunately we’d had no information on how to contact any site management during our check in
Beautiful little lodges in the middle of nowhere which is great to disconnect.
The woman on reception smelt strongly of cigarettes.
Just perfect stay loved it
Nothing it was amazing
