We were given the top floor which had 2 rooms, allowing you to relax in a separate room to the bedroom.

If I was going to be really picky, there could have been a sofa in the sitting room.

Located in an easy to find and convenient location. Plenty of parking. The room was recently renovated and was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Very comfortable nights sleep. Great shower and lots of luxury goodies to use.

Coasters for bedside units would be a good idea, as would a little ironing board to go with the iron.

It was a really sweet pub stay as we were hoping. Clean and cozy place, good food available and friendly staff

In generale siamo stati molto bene. Il personale è stato veramente gentile, la stanza era grande, molto pulita e confortevole. Abbiamo cenato lì ed era tutto ottimo, in particolare io ho preso il roast beef della domenica ed era davvero buono; devo dire ottima anche la birra, così come la colazione del giorno dopo. Comodo il parcheggio gratuito proprio davanti alla struttura. Atmosfera molto carina da tipico pub inglese (di livello).

La posizione non è male, però non è in città, nel senso che si trova proprio in un altro centro abitato. Lo segnalo perché io onestamente non mi ero accorta. Ad ogni modo la distanza in auto da Stratford-upon-Avon è di circa 10 minuti. Purtroppo la stanza si affacciava sulla strada e non era possibile dormire con la finestra aperta (c'era comunque il ventilatore).

The facilities were modern and kept up very well so it has exceeded my expectation in that regard. The breakfast is really nice as well. It's just outside Stratford, which is quite nice.

Our room was really nice. The only slight downside is it was on the grand floor and it was right next to the garden. Since the hotel is also a pub it was very easy for us to hear people in the garden while they smoke and have drinks on a weekend. Although it shuts at 11 so it's quiet after that. If you're an early sleeper you might find issue with this particular room but the other rooms upstairs, I'm sure it was fine.

Food and rooms were fabulous, beautiful touches in the room, but the staff was amazing. They couldn't do enough to help; they were so polite and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Cannot wait to stay again.

The room was very nice, with good facilities and well decorated.

We were at the front of the hotel and the windows only opened a small amount, this would not normally be a problem but it was a very hot time of the year. Otherwise the place was perfect.

Het was een prachtig hotel met veel parkeerplaatsen. Wij hadden een heerlijke kamer met een hele grote badkamer. Heel schoon ook. Geen airco, maar er stonden meerdere ventilatoren. Het eten was echt heerlijk.

Bij elk drankje, elke bestelling moest je ook als hotelgast direct afrekenen. Het was eigenlijk heel kinderachtig. Gaven meerdere keren aan dat wij verbleven in het hotel. Maar bij elk drankje direct betalen. Was erg klantonvriendelijk. Personeel op 1 uitzondering na maakte ook niet echt contact.

Fijne ruime kamer en een gezellige sfeer. We kwamen laat aan en wilden nog graag dineren en dat was geen probleem. Er was live muziek en het eten was heerlijk, Prima!

We had an excellent overnight stay and everything exceeded expectations.Dinner was good (not exceptional)and breakfast just as expected. Have already recommended it to our family and we will be staying again

Lovely pub/hotel with a beautiful well maintained garden and a large outdoor seating area. The pub and hotel were spotlessly clean and the decor was very classy. Staff were very friendly and helpful serving good food and the breakfast menu had plenty of choice, we both had the full English which was top quality.

Room was very hot as visited during the heatwave and the windows could only be opened a couple of inches. But nothing the staff can do about the weather.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The breakfast was a standout—the variety was extensive, and everything was delicious and high quality. It was the perfect way to start the day. The location is also incredibly convenient, making it very easy to reach all the nearby attractions and landmarks. Overall, a great experience with excellent service. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area!

One minor point for future guests to keep in mind: because the hotel is located right next to a main road, there can be some traffic noise at night. If you are a light sleeper, I highly recommend requesting a quieter room away from the main road when booking or checking in. The staff are very accommodating and should be able to assist you with that.

Lovely building with lots of character and the maze of outside seating areas was great for sitting out in the sun with light refreshments! We stayed in a lovely big room with really comfortable mattress and all amenities. Friendly staff, good food and nice bar area. Would definitely recommend.

Great room, modern bathroom and comfy bed. Pub food was exceptional, we had dinner and it didn’t disappoint.

Whilst staff kindly left a fan in our room, the lack of aircon resulted in a very hot loft room - took till 1am for the room to cool. Appreciate heatwaves are few and far between, however the upper floors simply had nowhere for the heat to escape. Still, would go again - great base for the Cotswolds

That I couldn't open my window any further due to health and safety. It was SO hot we really needed more air and we had stayed in places that were higher up with fully opened windows.

Absolutely gorgeous pub with lovely, spacious rooms. The bed was very comfy, great amenities and the shower was also great. Really enjoyed the food (breakfast and dinner) and the beer garden was lovely in the sun. We stayed here for a wedding at Ettington Park and it was very convenient (make sure to pre book a taxi). Would stay again just for the pleasure of the place. It was a very hot weekend and we really appreciated that there was a decent fan in the room.

The carpet in the room was very marked and part of the wall was crumbling. The throw on the bed was stained. Overall it was clean but these things can be off putting.

Check in was slow as we had to wait 10 minutes for barman as he was so busy. They need more staff/a reception area to welcome staying guests in.

Lovely pub, with beautiful room. We didn’t eat there so can’t comment, but it looked busy and people seemed satisfied.

Being told around 10.00pm, with 5 minutes notice, that last orders were being called. It was an absolutely beautiful, warm evening 🤷🏻‍♂️

The staff were so friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked through the door. The room was light and airy, beautifully decorated with a super comfy bed! We ate dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and both were delicious! Such a cosy, warm and welcoming vibe and a great place to explore the Cotswolds especially as an option to get away from the main tourist hub and visit Stratford on Avon just a few miles away.

The ambience and food in the pub was very good. Convenient location on our journey. Very nice breakfast. Plenty of choice.

Initial check in was delayed as we had to wait for about 15mins for someone to finish a meeting. Saying that we enjoyed sitting in the bar area to wait. The velux blind in the room was difficult to close fully...possibly broken.

Le charme d’un petit village tranquille .

Bar / restaurant was slightly crowded at the weekend but that’s to be expected with a high standard property like this.

The Bell in Alderminster is a real gem - Room 3 was full of character, complete with a small balcony overlooking the pub garden where we enjoyed a beautiful sunset. The food in the pub is excellent and well worth recommending. It’s also a great base for local walks, with a lovely circular route available. A charming stay in a gorgeous setting not far from Stratford.

We booked a room for three people. When we arrived, everything was set for 2 people and the sofa bed had not been made up for a third guest. Although this was rectified while we were in the bar eating our evening meal by the lovely and helpful evening staff, we still found we only had two towels when we came to shower in the morning. These small details matter a lot when you make a booking. Sadly housekeeping had not accommodated for this when preparing our room.

Currently the car park is very dusty and dirty for our cases and shoes. I imagine this is a temporary issue as they must be preparing for a resurface.

Carpets were a little tired and stained. Tv was really small. Room condiments were limited.
