Glowing review We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Haven. From the moment we arrived, we received such a warm and welcoming greeting, and the whole place was simply beautiful. Everything was spotlessly clean, warm and incredibly comfortable, with attention to detail that was genuinely second to none. The location is fantastic too — perfectly situated between Queenstown and Arrowtown and conveniently close to the airport. Warren went above and beyond to make our stay special. In fact, he even covered our car to protect it from the frost! It was such a thoughtful touch and really sums up the care and hospitality we experienced throughout our stay. We couldn’t recommend Haven highly enough. A beautiful place, wonderful hosts and a truly memorable stay. We would absolutely stay here again! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The place is fantastic, right in the middle of the cross roads to the three main ski field, slighty out of town so you dont have to worry about all the travic, yet only a few minutes drive from all the shopping and eateries u need. Its a quiet place for good sleeps with views to the slopes. Finally Warren and Sue, the owners are very welcoming and great people to have a chat to to gain some local knowledge!

Man fühlt sich wie zu Hause, herzliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Viel Platz, und ein sehr gutes und großes Bett, in dem man bei Regen auch gern mal ein Stündchen länger bleibt. Wir hatten alles was wir brauchten, vielen Dank.

Warren was an amazing host. He helped us with an early check in. The location and facilities were fantastic. This place is very cosy and has everything to make the stay memorable and comfortable.Queenstown is beautiful. 7 days didn't feel enough.

Everything! We enjoyed our stay of 5 nights in this cozy wonderful place with the garden and views. The place has all you need, especially a very comfy bed. Warren welcomed us warmly and gave many useful advices. We loved queenstown and surroundings too.

Warren made us feel very welcome. The room is large and offers lovely views to the garden. The neighbourhood is quiet but you need a car to access the many wonderful spots around Queenstown.

Both my wife and I are both tall and the king bed was super comfortable. The area is very quiet and we had the best sleep after two weeks of travelling around NZ. We also have friends who live close by, which made the location very convenient for us.

A rack in the shower to hold body wash etc would be an improvement to what is very well appointed accommodation.

Värden var mycket välkomnande och vänlig, och gav oss många lokala tipps. Boendet var rymligt och bekvämt, med ett lugnt läge utanför Queenstown. Tack för en trevlig vistelse!

Wij hebben met veel plezier van ons verblijf op deze locatie genoten. Warren is een bijzonder attente gastheer en werkelijk aan alles is gedacht – zelfs aan telefoonopladers met diverse aansluitingen. De accommodatie is zeer schoon, de kamer is ruim en de bedden zijn van uitstekende kwaliteit. Er waren zelfs 9 à 10 kussens aanwezig om uit te kiezen. De ligging is prachtig; u kunt hier ontspannen wandelen en binnen 12 à 15 minuten bereikt u het centrum van Queenstown. De WiFi functioneert uitstekend en er is een eigen parkeerplaats beschikbaar. De frisse lucht en het uitzicht op de tuin maken het verblijf extra aangenaam. Daarnaast zijn er diverse spelletjes, schaken en een ruime selectie boeken aanwezig. Toen wij informeerden naar een weegschaal om onze koffers te wegen, stond deze de volgende ochtend al voor onze deur. Ook ontvingen wij met kerst drie heerlijke chocolaatjes als attent gebaar van Warren en zijn familie. Deze kleine extra’s waarderen wij enorm. Warren is such an incredible host. Very kind and friendly. He got extra blankets and wraps for our baby to ensure the baby was well cared for. He gave us good directions into Queenstown and good locations and food places to visit. The room was clean and spacious, very relaxing and we were visited by friendly cats. The garden view is gorgeous. The whole place is well cared for and we will definitely stay here again..

Beautiful location away from the business of central Queenstown. Clean and comfortable. Plenty of microwave safe containers for use.

Warren is a great host, supportive, and responsive. We had excellent communication throughout, both before and during our stay, as well as at our departure time. The house is equipped with nice and well-decorated amenities and offers beautiful views.

Would give an even higher score if possible, Warren went above and beyond to make sure our stay was great. Comfortable beds with even more comfortable pillows, everything was super clean and tidy. We loved the little library and the view from the balcony! In a great location, a short drive to the city centre and a range of different restaurants.

If your focus isn’t on Queenstown itself, you’ll be close to the newer area around Frankton and the Five Mile precinct near the airport, with convenient access to onward travel. There are some pleasant morning walks around the historic Shotover Bridge a few minutes from this accommodation. Warren, the proprietor, is attentive and enjoys a good chat.

In all honesty, we wouldn’t describe the accommodation as luxury or 5-star ... a thoughtful refresh could help restore it to its former charm. We also noticed quite a few instructions posted around the property; which made things feel a little ‘rules-oriented.’

Only thing to be aware of is that there is no kitchen/sink. No issue - just something to be aware of.

Pretty much everything. Warren is a great host and the suite is in top shape. The deck at the back is amazing for some stargazing if you are into it. The property has easily become our dream holiday home.

Just as a suggestion a kitchen sink would have been great but totally livable without it as well.

Excellent facilities and very clean. Warren met us on arrival and was very helpful with advice about parking in the area, places to eat and some information about the whole area. It was out of Queenstown but a very quiet area and was easy to drive and park at Frankston bus station and get a bus into town as traffic was quite manic and little parking in town. Easy drive to Arrowtown and the shot over river and the Onsen that we were booked into. Actually much better than being in town if you want to do things out and around Queenstown.

The Haven suite is truly a fine place to stay near Queenstown. The owner has paid attention to every detail to ensure the comfort of his guests. Large comfortable bed. Super clean. Onsite parking which is rare in town.

Nothing. One minor suggestion is that the owner inquire if guests have any sensitivity to scents and fragrances and take appropriate action.

Host Warren was very friendly & informative. Told us a great deal about Queenstown surround & South Island in particular

Peaceful location out of the Hustle and Bustle.Great for walking or biking the trails around the Shotover River.A car is needed for ease of getting there.

Beautiful place, immaculately kept and run by a wonderful host. Superb attention to detail with all the tiny little extras that make for a perfect stay. We were particularly happy with the BBQ which was used on every one of our three nights. Will be back asap!

The room was beautiful, smelled amazing. Had all the comforts of home and felt very homely. Definitely loved relaxing on the deck between our adventures. Bed was sooo comfy, slept amazing. The owners animals are so friendly and cute. The owner is great with so much knowledge of what to do and we're to eat. Will happily book again next time I'm there.

The property was beautifully presented and quiet. Very comfortable and our host Warren was wonderfully friendly and helpful. Warren actually saved us several hours of lost travel time and immense stress by informing us of an unexpected road closure (major slip due to heavy rain) that impacted the next leg of our NZ trip. Without Warren’s advice we would not have been able to adjust our plans and travel route and amend our next accommodation arrangements so effectively. The room was beautifully decorated and Warren removed, cleaned and replenished our dirty dishes daily. Wifi was excellent and reliable and Netflix etc was available in the suite. The outlook from the room was gorgeous as well. Partial views of the mountains between the leafy grounds.

Our only minor criticism is that there was no place for us to unpack our clothes to during our stay. We needed to keep our clothes in our suitcases on the floor. Everything else was really great.

Warren was a great host. Very attentive to our needs, extremely helpful with advice on things to do and see, where to park in town etc. Even put the heaters on for us while we were out so we could come back to a nice warm room after a day at the snow. Some great recommendations for dinner and meals and good directions to avoid snow traffic and roadworks - always great to benefit from some local knowledge. Also, don't be put off by being a little out of Queenstown; it's quieter, quicker to all of the resorts, airport and the local shops (which are excellent). If you do want to venture into town, it's only a few minutes down the road.

Warren and Sue were the most lovely hosts. The suite is immaculate, with lots of space and all the facilities you need to do some cooking and relaxing. There is parking available on their property and it’s a nice quiet area close to Queenstown with views of the mountains. The hosts went out of their way to welcome us, asking us how our days had gone, sharing local tips, made us freshly baked cookies and we were even lucky enough to be invited to share a real Kiwi dinner with them on our last evening. We would highly recommend Haven Suite to anyone visiting the area and we were certainly sad to leave! Look forward to meeting Warren and Sue again when they visit us in Ireland 😊

Location of the accomodation is too handy near by city centre. Room is big enough than your exceptions. If you love music 🎧and reading 📖 you will get everything in your own room 🎸😃. There is plenty of space for walk at back of your room. All in all I recommend to my friend for this room. Thank you for the complimentary snacks sir.

The host was extremely helpful and kind, I needed to check in early and he said I could arrive earlier as he had made up the room already. The properly is beautiful, extremely large room and the host has thought of everything you might need. The location is very close to Frankton.

Very large room that backs out on to a lovely garden that isn't part of the property but were told we could go out there. Lovely big bed and plenty of pillows to choose from. Owner is very helpful and gives you plenty of information. All in all it's lovely and of a high quality. Just a few small issues mentioned below. Location is great for Frankton 10 minutes drive but Queenstown closer to 20 mins.

It seemed very strange that although a big /huge room there is no wardrobe or chest of drawers for your clothes!? Just a few coat hangers at the end of the hall.... We had been traveling for some time so planned a good overhaul of our luggage contents but ended up spreading it all over the floor. The quality of the property is very high but we think maybe a little more thought into what traveller's need is required.

The bath towels and bed linen can be changed at least alternate day instead of 6 days.
