Hei-d-Away

Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen und während unseres Aufenthaltes liebevoll umsorgt; uns hat es an nichts gefehlt (sogar die Pad-Maschine wurde durch eine Kaffeemaschine ersetzt). Die FeWo ist gemütlich, geräumig, hell und sauber. Die Umgebung ist ruhig, ein (E-)Parkplatz vorhanden. Fußläufig sind Möglichkeiten zum Essen, Einkaufen und nebenan gleich der Bäcker. Eine Tankstelle ist auch in kurzer Distanz zu finden. Die FeWo liegt zentral, zu Fuß ist der Eingang zum Nationalpark in 15 min zu erreichen. Kunst, Kultur und Landschaft direkt ab der Haustür!

Wonderful stay at Hei-d-Away! A huge thank you to the host Bianca for being so friendly, warm, and welcoming. The house is very spacious, comfortable, and private. Everything was spotlessly clean, fresh (looks newly renovated), yet incredibly cozy. Excellent quality furniture and kitchen, with thoughtful amenities like air conditioning and electric shutters making the stay even more enjoyable. It is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need, even for a longer stay of a week or more. We especially loved the terrace with its view over the cornfield—the perfect spot to relax. We liked everything without exception and would love to come back and stay here again!

Prima appartement. Fijne meedenkende gastvrouw. Attent en toenaderbaar. Niets was teveel. Heerlijke cake gekregen. Mooi verzorgd balkon. Privacy genoeg. Heerlijk bed en airco. Het was over de 30° graden buiten. De ligging van het gastenverblijf was midden in het centrum. Maar 's nachts heerlijk rustig. De bakker twee deuren verder. Kortom......goed!

Misschien toch een ontbijt aanbieden.

Ruim en schoon appartement op de 1e verdieping. Goed onderhouden, mooi ingericht en met balkon aan de achterzijde. Airco was heerlijk met dat warme weer. Prima locatie voor een bezoek aan de Hoge Veluwe en op loopafstand van diverse restaurants en supermarkt. Vriendelijke gastvrouw. Fietsen konden in het schuurtje.

Badkamer is in verhouding tot de rest van het appartement wat gedateerd. Check out van 10 uur zou wat later mogen

The hostess is really nice and thoughtful. The apartment is perfect, with a nice terrace, air conditioning and a large kitchen. The house is located right in the city centre and less than a 15min walk away from the Otterlo entrance of the park !

Fijne ruime accommodatie wat voorziet in alle gemak met een terras. Tevens perfecte ligging, dichtbij ingang Hoge Veluwe, leuke restaurants en fietsknooppunt voor de deur.

Location, comfort, beautiful back deck, easy to get to, friendly hosts, decorated really nice, it’s what I expected and much more.

Even before we arrived, Bianca was almost immediately helpfully responsive to a message sent to her about a foul up caused by the compromise of my credit card and the apparent inability of Booking.com's computer system to use a substituted newly-provided credit card for automatic payment for the booking. (Incidentally, our travel companions had a similar problem with Booking.com and a similar problem to mine in reporting any problem about Booking.com's system to Booking.com. So we loved staying at Hei-d Away and appreciated all the things Bianca did for us there but Booking.com proved frustrating.. It seems you can give feedback about Booking.com's client properties but cannot online or by telephone readily complain about or lodge complaints about Booking.com itself. I am sorry to bundle my very positive review of Hei-D Away, which deserves a 10 out of 10 for excellence, with a review that pans Booking.com and would give Booking.com a 0 out of 10 on what turned out to be a time consuming and frustrating Booking.com isdue - I had to contact each of quite a few hotels individually to explain the credit card problem and ask they not cancel my reservation.

There was nothing about Hei-D Away that we did't like.

This seemed like a newly renovated apartment attached to the main house where the owners live. All was lovingly decorated. The owners were very friendly and nice yet we had all the privacy we needed. The apartment is exceptionally clean, the bed is very comfortable and the apartment has a good shower. We enjoyed our brief but pleasant stay.

Be aware there are stairs up to the flat.

The hosts are hospital and friendly! They will meet and great you and give you a boutique hotel treatment. The property is amazing. I enjoyed every second of my stay here. It is neat! Super clean (which I care the most) well equipped, I found every thing I needed, and it’s neat which I, and beautiful!. I have to mention the high quality of the toilet paper and soap. They offer you a free car parking as well. The location is perfect. Bike rental shop, bakery, restaurants, Spar all are just next to you or opposite the street (3mins walking). The national park is 15 mins walking and there is a street to an amazing forest behind the property (~10mis walking). You can rent a bike and ride it very easily.

We provided our own breakfasts, beyond the teas and coffee the hosts provided. We were very happy with the arrangements.

We did not dislike anything. Our hosts were very close and helpful.

This place is A1, 5 stars, and every other superlative one can think of. Clean, bright, and shiny facilities. Not over-the-top with silly touches, just very solid and very comfortable. From the friendly in-person greeting from Bianca, to the precise and concise tutorial on the details, this place is in the top 1% of accommodations we've found in our travels. Great location for visiting the national park, easy walk to dinner and good Spar grocery.

Het appartement was kraaknet, het onthaal heel vriendelijk, de omgeving superbe.

Douchegordijn en nog typisch Hollands toilet, maar dit gaat aangepast worden.

De vriendelijke ontvangst, fijn contact, mooi schoon en fris verblijf. Heerlijk dakterras met vrij uitzicht.

Geboekt voor een weekendje Hoge Veluwe. We werden enthousiast onthaald door gastvrouw Bianca die ons alles rustig uitlegde. Alles was smetteloos en smaakvol ingericht en ondanks dat het direct tegen het woonhuis van de eigenaren ligt, voelde het geheel privé. Het apartment is perfect gelegen, met allerlei leuke restaurantjes en een Spar supermarkt binnen een paar minuten lopen. Bovendien ligt het direct naast een kleine bakker en de fietsenverhuur. Een slagerij is 300m verderop te.vinden. Met een kwartiertje lopen sta je voor de entree van Nationaal Park de Hoge Veluwe. Wat ons betreft zeker een aanrader als uitvalsbasis voor een bezoek aan de Hoge Veluwe.

Location is perfect! Close to everything we needed. The hosts are super friendly and the place was super clean.

Lovely place - very clean and every last detail taken care of. Bianca was so kind and let us use her washer and clothes racks, saving us time and effort halfway through our NL trip. Several restaurants and a market were only a few steps away. We loved this place and wish we could have stayed longer!

The bed was a bit too firm but we slept well anyway since we had walked 8 miles that day. Would have liked a top sheet instead of a thick blanket since the weather was warm during our stay.

Our hosts were friendly and the location was fantastic! It was so nice being able to spread out and be comfortable in this spacious apartment. We only stayed one night, but if we'd used this as our "base location" for the trip, I can tell you that the kitchen was well stocked with anything needed to prepare and enjoy meals there. Bianca was super communicative--offering very specific answers to my questions about the area--things to see, places to eat, etc. (The De Waldroorn did not disappoint and offered a nice selection of food and drink!)

Wonderful place to stay in Otterlo. The location was perfect for visiting the national park and the Kroller-Muller museum. Bianca and her husband were wonderful hosts. They even drove me feom and to the train station in Ede. Their apartment is lovely and extremely clean. It has a great back deck that is a perfect spot for coffee in the morning and some relaxing time in the afternoon.

This property is extraordinary. You’ll have your own private spacious 2nd floor apartment, thoughtfully laid out with three separate areas — bathroom, kitchen/dining and the bedroom suite. Right off the bedroom is a large deck perfect for relaxing and watching the sun set over the Otterlo countryside. The aesthetics of the apartment’s design look straight out of a magazine. There is a narrow spiral staircase to navigate. The Spar grocery store is across the street and around the corner and offers up anything you need. A bakery is next door just steps away. There are several restaurants within walking distance and an adorable “farm” ice cream stand across the road. Two different bicycle rental shops give you no excuse not to explore this area on two wheels. In other words, the location is perfect. Bianca and Carel were excellent hosts and Bianca always got back immediately with answers to questions. We absolutely loved our stay here!

Exceptional hosts Bianca and Carl make every detail of this stay far above average. The Hei-d-away is modern, spacious and spotless. With the National Park and the Kroeller-Mueller Museum within walking distance it is perfectly located. You definitely want to stay here.

It was a great stay with a really nice host . The BNB was clean and organized. The location is great. Everything nearby ( all you need is within 1km)
