The accommodation was very comfortable. Home away from home with excellent views in close proximity to nature. Leigh and Emanuel were very welcoming. The indoor fireplace was lovely on cold nights. All activities were just a short drive away

The Gatehouse is a very comfortable place where you can completely relax. It has everything you need. The view of the lake and Knysna is so tranquil. We miss the views already! Lee, Feli and Emmanuel were ready to help us every time we needed them. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Location off the lagoon . Beautiful night views of the Knysna lights. Between Knysna and Brenton on see with easy drive to both. Great hosts. Ample space for family of 4 with everything we needed. A conservation area where we drove past wildlife every day

Great location. Very quite. Surrounded by nature. Close to Knysna and the islands but isolated and private.

Everything was exactly what we wanted but it's worth noting that most shops and restaurants are about 20 min away.

This fully equipped self-catering cottage is situated on the lagoon away from other houses, with views across the lagoon to the Outeniqua mountains. It's the ideal tranquil base for exploring the enchanting Garden Route

I am a tall person and have had neck surgery - The mirrors in the main bathroom is very low. I understand that the window above the mirror does not allow for the mirror to be moved up but did find it very uncomfortable have to squat down all the time to use it.

Private and isolated.

It is a quiet part of Knysna. It lies next the lake in a private nature reserve. We watched a buck drinking water at the lake at sunset. We also saw a Knysna loerie in the bushes. We watched the sunset from the deck. Great place energize our spririts

It is the most beautiful position on the lagoon; quiet and pretty. The house is extremely well appointed, one of the best I have experienced in many, many years of travel and hiring places to stay.

Apartment is lovely but cold (it is winter...) rugs on the floor and larger blankets would make it more comfortable. A lovely spot though! There is a wood burning stove which we didn't use (no matches/no paper).

The view of the lake was stunning. In addition the wood burning fireplace was a special treat on the cold winter's nights. The fresh flowers was a warm welcome.

What a place!!! So peaceful and quiet.

Here you can just relax and enjoy nature. From the sound of the Knysna Loerie that awakes you in the morning, to watching the sunrise over the Eastern Knysna Heads and the birds wading in the shallow waters. Walking in the indigenous forest, stumbling accross buck and at night just enjoying the view of Knysna town lights.

Going home after 3 days.

We loved the nature all around us, the amazing views on the lake and the cozy feeling of the cabin. The staff was also very friendly and helpful.
