Vše bylo čisté a hezké, člověk se zde cítil dobře. Majitelka milá. Snídaně sice chudší, ale byla k dispozici kuchyň. Parkování přímo před domem. Nejbližší obchod 4-5 minut autem. Na pokoji konvice na čaj a na kávu.

Ann est très accueillante, très agréable. Le logement est propre et bien équipé. C'est vraiment super sympa de pouvoir partager avec les autres résidents. Il y a toutes les commodités à proximité, et une piscine d'eau de mer toute proche

On fait vite le tour de la péninsule de Belmullet, et il faut par conséquent faire beaucoup de route pour faire de la visite. Mais ça n'enlève rien à l'accueil chaleureux de Ann

Ci ha dato due stanze che non erano nemmeno presenti su booking vista retro non fronte mare e non erano deluxe per nulla. Noi volevamo e abbiamo pagato per due camere matrimoniali deluxe vista mare fronte e laterale. L’ho fatto presente alla proprietaria il primo giorno e si è molto seccata ci ha detto vi cambio stanza vi restituisco i soldi ma poi non l’abbiamo più vista.

Low cost. Good size of room for our needs

Breakfast was really poor. House in need of some redecoration/ repair. Beds uncomfortable, leaking toilet, very poor shower facilities and much further from the town than we expected (though to be fair, that may have been an oversight on our part). Really strange that the host wasn’t there during our stay.

Great Value for Money, the room was clean & tidy so no complaints. Check-in was straightforward - just go in and find your room. Shower was very weak and bed was OK - you get what you pay for? We didn't use the breakfast facilities but just some cereals, bread and jam etc left out to help yourself - the owner was away so this maybe better at other times - but pretty basic. Easy parking - long walk into Belmullet

There is due maintenance. The toilet's drain leaks and there was a container on the floor to collect the leaked water. Considering that it involves toilet sewage, the room shouldn't have been rented out. Also, there was a lot of animal hair on the carpet.

Esperienza pessima. Avevamo prenotato dal 27/01 al 01/02. Il nostro malcontento, rigurda principalmente i modi della nostra host, il mancato riscaldamento nella nostra camera, il negarci di far utilizzare la cucina e il non aver comunicato di avere un cane, quando la struttura ammetteva animali domestici. La nostra esperienza è stata strana e spiazzante si dall'inizio: la nostra host ci avvisa di non poter raggiungerci, ci da giuste indicazioni di come entrare in struttura, ossia da una porta sul retro non chiusa a chiave. Entrando si sentiva quel classico quel tepore caldo, seguendo le indicazioni dateci dall'host raggiungiamo la nostra stanza, fredda! Il termosifone della camera e del nostro bagno privato erano lì unici freddi in tutta la casa. Segnaliamo il nostro arrivo e il problema del riscaldamento nel nostro alloggio e l'host che ci dice di essere dispiaciuta ma non propone alcuna soluzione. Siccome la struttura era vuota abbiamo pensato di utilizzare una stufa elettrica trovata nell'aria comune per poter ricaldare l'alloggio. In sintesi dopo aver dormito in queste condizioni per due notti, finalmente conosciamo la nostra host, una signira tutta coperta a strati, con tanto di paraorecchi in casa per poter combattere il freddo che era all'interno della struttura, ci dice anche che non è contenta di aver avuto noi come ospiti, che non dovevamo utilizzare la cucina, che non abbiamo notificato la presenza del cane è che venendo dell'Italia avremmo dovuto prevedere che in Irlanda facesse così freddo. Per aggiungere le altre chicche sulla torta ci ha accusato di aver fumato all'interno della stanza ci ha accusati di averla lasciata fuori quando abbiamo chiuso la porta sul retro ( ma diciamoci la verità: chi lascerebbe la porta aperta in piena campagna?) E ci ha detto che potevamo scegliere se andarcene quella sera stessa o la mattina dopo.

Ann ist eine tolle Gastgeberin. Sie hat uns gute Tipps gegeben und wir hatten alles, was nötig war.

Die Lage der Unterkunft ist sehr schön. Tolle Aussicht und ruhig. Belmullet ist mit dem Pkw schnell zu erreichen.

Das Frühstück wurde in der Küche der Vermieterin zur Selbstbedienung angeboten. Allerdings bestand es aus Frühstücksflocken für Kinder sowie einem seit einer Woche abgelaufenen Toastbrot. Die angebrochenen Konfitüren wurden von allen benutzt, was wir als unhygienisch empfanden. Das Obst war verschrumpelt, also auch schon mehrere Tage auf dem Tisch. Das Besteck war schmutzig, andere Gäste haben ihr Geschirr selbst gespült. Aus diesen Gründen sind wir unverrichteter Dinge in den Ort frühstücken gefahren. Unserer Meinung nach verdient die Unterkunft nicht den Zusatz „& Breakfast“.

Die Gastgeberin Ann war sehr freundlich und hat sich auch Zeit genommen, sich etwas mit uns zu unterhalten. Wir durften ihre Küche mitbenutzen, obwohl das im B&B nicht ei geschlossen ist. In Belmullet gibt es guten Kaffee im Bike Cafe, schon ab 7 Uhr morgens. Und einen Tidal Pool mit Sauna, Infos bei Ann.

Ein kleines Tischchen oder eine Schreibmöglichkeit im Zimmer wäre unschlagbar!

Breakfast !

We had a very pleasant stay. The owner was very friendly and welcoming, and the place was spotlessly clean. The room was warm, cosy, and comfortable, which made it easy to relax after a long day. The complimentary breakfast was a really lovely surprise and much appreciated.

There were a few small things that could be improved, but nothing major. Overall, considering the price, the standard of the accommodation was fair and good value for money.

Das Zimmer war insgesamt recht kalt, der Wasserdruck in der Dusche reichte nicht zum Haarewaschen und die angepriesene Küchennutzung stand auch nicht zur Verfügung.

The location was beautiful. The views were amazing. We are looking forward to a return visit in better weather conditions. It is a very beautiful part of Ireland.

The bedroom was huge and cosy with such a nice view! The private bathroom is great ! Lovely breakfast as well !

The toilets were leaking and there were a strong smell from the bathroom when we arrived.

no soap in room, mugs and glasses were left dirty from guests before and never cleaned, we checked ourselves in and didn't see anyone during our 2 day stay, host didn't respond to messages on booking.com regarding stay, no proper breakfast, dishes weren't clean in kitchen and some of the food was mouldy or empty

It wasn't super clean. There were hairs in the shower. No soap except for a half full liquid soap dispenser in the shower. No shampoo, conditioner or body wash. I felt that because I was staying over Christmas that it wasn't ideal, the owner did say she had tried to block off the dates, not what you want to hear when you've booked in...

Le charme de la chambre, son confort, les équipements mis à disposition. En plus de cela, la vue depuis la chambre est magnifique! Honnêtement nous avons passé un très bon moment dans ce logement. Nous y étions en famille et c'était chouette 👍

Trouver le bon interrupteur des lumières relève de la chance, c'est un peu une chasse au trésor mais c'est rigolo.

Had a 2 day stay at rose of the sea guest house, perfect base for exploring the area. Clean comfy room with en suite shower. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room also. Check in was self service, worked well. Breakfast was self service, cereal, porridge, fruits and yoghurts available.tea and coffee too. 25 minute walk to town centre, or a couple of minutes in the car. Would recommend this accommodation. Communication with the owner was easy, though never met in person. Would stay again anytime.

As my room was double booked I didn’t even get past the front door when I arrived. At 5 o’clock on a Saturday evening I had to find alternative accommodation. Ann Ruddy the owner of this shambles emailed me over a month before confirming my booking,

Ann Ruddy is a useless, insincere waste of space. Thankfully she is selling the place so hopefully she won’t be ruining too many more holidays for people for much longer

Estaba lejos de todo para visitar muchas horas de coche el compartir casa con otros ya que eso no lo ponía en su pagina ahora ya lo pone era incómodo estar con otras personas desayunando fue una experiencia diferente pero no volveremos a probar no poder cocinar aunque nos dejó alguna noche hacer unas tortillas pq la comida allí es fast food malisima

Die Gastgeberin Ann ist ein so toller, lieber Mensch und immer sehr hilfsbereit. Ich kann bei ihr einen Aufenthalt nur empfehlen ! Wenn ich wieder in diese Gegend reise, dann auf jedenfall zu Ann 😃

Das einzige was ich verbessern würde ist: im Bad fehlen Ablagemöglichkeiten und Haken zum aufhängen

The Rose of the Sea was the perfect BnB, Ann was an amazing host who looked after us during our stay. We booked last minute to take refuge from the weather during our camping trip. Ann went above and beyond to cater for our needs during our stay. The Rose of the Sea property was very clean, we had a large room and en-suite with a very comfortable bed and a communal kitchen area for breakfast. The property overlooks the sea and is close to Belmullet (a nice town with pubs, shops and a tidal pool to swim in). There are many walks near by including Erris Head Loop Walk which we definitely recommend. There is also multiple beautiful beaches and surf spots to make the most of. Overall the value for money compared to other places in the area was outstanding. We had a fantastic stay and plan to come back soon. Thank you Ann for your hospitality!

Lovely warm welcome by the host,Anne. Nothing was tpp much trouble. Absolutely stunning location with sea views out across the bay. There is a seawater pool 5 minutes drive away. and a sauna to warm up in. Ample parking at the hotel . The bed was so comfy., room was very spacious Great value for money !! I would definitely recommend a stay here , great location to get out and a out in the west of Ireland. Continentaltal style breakfast was good.

Due to some recent challenges with assigned staff, the owner was kind enough to contact me to ask if I wanted to cancel prior to my trip, given recent negative reviews. I proceeded with the trip, and by the time I arrived, the very friendly owner was present, and I enjoyed my stay very much. Nice house, relaxed atmosphere, and very good value for money.

Location was great , water was hot , room was very nice.

Being on the coast it’s very windy and my room (3) was very loud but only in the front side. I pretty much checked myself in and had no contact with anyone from the property the whole time I was there. On a good note, I would stay there again

The room and bathroom were very clean. The beds were extremely comfortable. The views from the house of Achill Island and the bay were fabulous.

Once we were given the correct room, it was spacious.

When we arrived at the property, we came across the host couple out the back of the property, who seemed surprised that we were there. Through google translate, we managed to tell them that we had booked a room and we were shown inside. They seemed flustered and unhappy, as though we shouldn't have been there. They showed us to a room that was not the room we had booked and this was difficult to communicate. We argued via google translate for a few minutes before they showed us to the correct room. They seemed very unhappy about giving us this room even though I showed them the photos and booking proof. The room was quite dusty with visible dust on the surfaces. Breakfast was a self serve situation with just cereal, bread and yoghurts available. This was laid out in the kitchen which was the hosts own, so it felt uncomfortable being in there helping ourselves to food. It was a really strange situation and we felt quite uncomfortable staying there, like we had turned up at someone's house and imposed on them, and even considered booking another room elsewhere. We didn't receive any communication about arriving at the property and got a 'leave a review' message before we'd even arrived. The host couple were certainly not friendly and welcoming as mentioned in other reviews.

It was easy to find The staff were nice but couldn’t speak English in an English speaking country. It was very difficult to book in. They showed us to the wrong room first.

The breakfast was extremely poor. Badly bruised apples for breakfast. Two slices of bread in fridge the first morning none the second. Same with the yoghurt’s

There was no one aware that I was visiting & the old couple there weren't informed. Very little food available so breakfast was minimal. Have contacted the premises but have not heard anything back.

Good Value for Money! Hosts were so helpful when I asked for anything.

Clean with comfortable beds. Good temperature. Location suited us. Tea and coffee in the room was good. Self-service breakfast was convenient.

I don't get upset or scared easily, so this is/was a funny story, but it could be upsetting, particularly if you were old, nervous, had young children, or were vulnerable in some way. We were a group of 4 adults (a couple and their son and daughter in law). We contacted the accommodation at midday to let them know we would be arriving around 5pm. We got there at 5pm without getting a reply. The house was in darkness, and there were no cars at the premises, but the name of the premises and the photos matched what we had booked, so we knew we were in the right place. We rang the doorbell and knocked to no answer. We rang the phone number for the premises a few times but got no answer. My husband walked around the house and saw an elderly couple sitting in near darkness. We knocked on the windows again, and they came to the front door. They were a very nervous and stressed Ukranian couple who spoke no English.They invited us into the sitting room but were visibly flustered and even a little upset. While we were in the sitting room (approximately 5:15pm), I got a reply to my message on Booking.com stating that arrival at 5pm was fine. My husband again tried to ring the number and got an answer this time. She told him that the couple had no english but would deal with us through Google Translate. She also rang me back at this time, and I told her she had just spoken to my husband. The couple clearly didn't know what was going on but got a message to put us into 2 particular rooms. We proceeded to our rooms and started to get ready for our evening out. I went up to the couple to ask for a key (via Google Translate) for the door as we weren't sure what time we would be home. I was told there was a key in the bedroom door, and the front door was never locked. At this time, a couple with 4 young children arrived. The host couple invited them inside and started to get upset again.

The location suited our needs and the house was clean, tidy and well presented.

Despite outlining our check in time we had to call to the owner as there no answer at the door. The host couple whilst they seem lovely had no English and we could only communicate via a translate app, we would have appreciated being advised of this prior. It would not have stopped us booking but given the unusual nature of not being able to check in, the difficulties communicating on amplified matters. The couple were also unaware we were checking in despite booking 5 days prior and the whole process was just mismanaged. Had the check in process gone smoothly I still would not recommend staying in the winter as the property has no heating and was very cold. Breakfast was no advertised as being solely a continental breakfast. Given the house was so cold we didn't stick around for cereal in a cold kitchen and left early the next day. Also the BnB could be better signposted at night, especially when there was no lights on in the front of the house.
