Ocho Rios Sandcastles A19

This was not the first time we stayed in A19, From the moment we stepped into the apartment, we were enveloped by a sense of luxury and warmth and a feeling of coming home. The space was meticulously designed, with modern furnishings and a layout that felt both expensive and inviting. The kitchenette was fully equipped, a thoughtful feature that offered convenience for preparing quick meals, though the resort’s dining options often tempted us away. Floor-to-ceiling windows framed breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape, creating a serene backdrop to every moment spent there.  One of the most delightful surprises was the welcome gift—2 small boxes of indulgent chocolates thoughtfully left by the hosts. It was a simple yet heartwarming gesture that immediately made us feel at home. The hosts themselves were incredibly responsive, always just a message away and eager to assist with anything we needed, from restaurant recommendations to activity suggestions. Their attention to detail and genuine care elevated the entire experience.  The apartment’s proximity to the resort’s amenities was another highlight. We enjoyed leisurely mornings on the balcony, afternoons exploring the nearby shops, and evenings dining at the resort’s restaurant, which offered a rich variety of dishes to suit every craving. The private access to the beach was a blessing, perfect for quiet morning walks or watching the sun dip below the horizon.  Our stay of 3-weels felt personalised in every way, blending comfort, elegance, adventure, and relaxation. These small yet impactful touches, from the chocolates to the hosts' unwavering responsiveness, left us with lasting memories. It was extremely difficult for us to leave as we had such a fantastic time, and we are really looking forward to returning.

Lovely one bedroom situated on the first floor with stairs. Over looking the gardens to the sea. AC and fans in each room, hot water. We had access to the beach as we booked they. The kitchen was appropriate, but could do with a few additions, eg. An extra pot, kitchen hand towel. Overall, it was a good experience.

I had a fantastic time the apartment was very comfortable. I loved every minute. It was quiet it was clean. I could see the beach. I would do it again. I loved it.

The room was clean, cozy and convenient. The ambience lends itself to relaxation.

Loved the bed and the patio view. The hall and kitchen were good too. Loved the fact that it was coded and not having to use a card to access the room.

Didn't like the fact that there was only 2 towels available. Didn't like the fact that there was no shampoo and shower gels. Not everyone can use soaps. Also, the castile soap is a better option than rosa Venus.Didn't like the fact that there was nothing to make tea since we weren't given bottles of water upon arrival.

I love the location on the strip. I love the restaurant available on site, the bar and other restaurant and the nightly music. I really appreciated the cleanliness of the unit.

I didnt like that the last few days I ran out of hot water and I didnt bother to mention it. I didnt care for the towel request service. My room was for 2 and they gave only 2. I wish they would provide extras. Especially knowing that we are coming during a big event time, we were showering 3-4 times a day.

Great location. Overall apartment is clean. Good value for money. Air condition provided. Restaurant on site provided good food and value for money. Reception staff were nice.

no welcome pack in the apartment including WFI instructions. Apartment lack the finishing touches. Could have provided disposable kitchen towel and perhaps provided a little tea/coffee. No bathroom mat. Shower Head needs adjusting.

I loved the ambiance…

There was a lot of noise from the neighbors, men mowing the lawn (I guess there was no wait to avoid that)… we did not hve any help to take luggage’s to the room and we are two females.

There was no breakfast but the location is excellent

I like the cleanliness the décor the accessibility to the amenities the front desk staff was very friendly helpful and courteous.

There was a lot of locals hanging around by the pool in the evening which made you feel unsafe but they were friendly enough.

No manual/guides or instructions for operation of devices, equipment or hot water for showers. No room service for 3 days only appeared after constant asking.

The towels looked as if they were dirty/used, whuch probably could have been better if they were rewashed because I know they seen what I seen when they were folding them. The floor in the washroom always was really wet after a shower because the shower itself only have one door on it instead of two and no floor towel was given to use to wipe it up, this would have been better if we had a floor towel. There was no mop or broom left in the room so if you wasted or spilled something, it was challenging to clean it up.. The refrigerator was small and couldn't hold much so having to make store runs every two day was frustrating because we had to cook breakfast, lunch & dinner, I wanted to stay 10 days but I couldn't keep paying a taxi to take me to the supermarket every two days, this wouldn' have been so bad if we ate out much. The toliet was dirty & the bottom of toliet as well was dirty which was very disappointing. Majority of the issues were on the cleaning lady.

I liked the room/apartment. It was spacious, the bed was firm, very bright, nice balcony & furniture. When I did ask for cleaner towels, mop & broom, trash bags & bleach to clean the toliet, it was brought to me in a timely manner. The room looked exactly like the photos. With a few tweaks it would be perfect.

Good located, close to Ocho Rios Bay Beach. In general clean and good equipped apartment, adequate value for money.

Okay, so the reception area could be more accommodating. Example- It needs to be decorated, could have a host to meet and greet and offer a glass of champagne or wine and guide us to our apartment. Also, you could think of ways to do some birthday specials, if its even to knock on the door and surprise us with a slice of cake and balloons. You guys need to help us to feel more special while visiting.

The apartment and location was great.The staff we came into contact with were very friendly and pleasant. I have recommend sandcastles to a number of people and with stay there again.

The towels and sheets were not changed frequently and the air conditioning the living room did not work properly. Was reported but still wasn't fixed. And it can do with a new fridge and more cooking utensil required..The lock to the balcony door in living room needs repairing.

The apartment is very spacious and does feel like a home away from home. It's very centrally located in Ocho Rios town so easy to find places to eat, a supermarket, souvenir shops and the beach nearby. Hotel staff all friendly and seems like a good work culture. There is a restaurant right in front of the apartment complex so conveniently located. There is a TV in both the living room and bedroom.

Whilst the apartment was in a generally good state, I think the sofa could do with a good deep clean as it smelt a bit musty. There was a kitchen, however no washing up equipment for plates and cutlery. WiFi is only available in the apartment and not in the wider complex which would be ideal.

The place was amazing. It was comfortable. The room was awesome. The grounds was clean. I liked the pool and the bar setting. Somewhere I'd visit again😁

Breakfast did not come with the room so I can't rate that. The place was easily accessible. The AC in the room works well. The apartment was cleaning and we'll laid out. It was comfortable enough.

In settings such as these one cannot rate the external as shortcomings are beyond the owner's control. What is though is the interior. Perhaps thought can be given to stop using the current air freshener as once you get in the apartment it is so overwhelming. I know the the plan is to provide a nice smelling place. Also you could consider upgrading the toilet to a higher one as persons with knee issues may have difficulty getting up as it is so low. Another thing is to ensure that floor mats are placed but the shower as you can fall getting out. You will need to take wash rags and extra towels as only two are provided.

My stay was amazing! The entire room was cleaned we had everything that was needed. The host was even there to attend to our every need we felt welcomed. The check in and out process was really smooth looks exactly like the photos. It's home away from home definitely 10/10
