We had a great stay at Camping Kampot! This lovely green campsite, nestled in the peaceful hills outside the city, is the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of Kampot. Though it’s a little out of town, it’s easily reached by tuk-tuk — and well worth the short ride. The atmosphere is calm and relaxed, surrounded by nature, making it a great place to unwind. The owner is incredibly friendly, helpful, and flexible — always around with a smile and ready to assist with anything you need. One of the highlights? The natural swimming pond! There’s nothing better than jumping in for a refreshing dip during or after a hot day. If you're looking for tranquility and a taste of nature just outside the city, Camping Kampot is an absolute gem!
I loved this camp site, it is magical, peaceful and very rural, the views of the mountains are beautiful the bird song,, frogs croaking and crickets are just amazing it was like an orchestra, I have never heard anything like it. The owners was away due to the birth of their new baby ( I got to meet him the day before I left) however David stayed in touch by wats app still arranging tuk tuks and my boat ticket for when I left, which I was very grateful for. The groundsman was there and he was always smiling and brought food to my bungalow, sorted ice box etc... The actual bungalow tent was perfect I didn't have any bites and had a fan, the bed was very comfortable. The showers are exceptional like power showers, I loved this place and would recommend. The location is perfect for hiking and the locals are lovely 😍 and always say hello
Nothing
It's a basic place where you stay close to nature. You will hear (and see) loads of wildlife around you. Staff was kind.
The location is a bit ouf town, not walking distance. Just something to bear in mind.
Atmosphere, nature, staff, and the owner are friendly 😀 . I like that place and will be back there again. I also enjoy the soft musical 🎼 there too.
All good 👍 thanks
Great camping, you'll need a motorbike to enjoy the stay. The bed is grea, with mosquitos net and you have a locker for your stuff. Shower and toilets are perfect. A lot of place to chill and hang out. The restaurant do great food, and breakfast if needed. The staff is really nice, and there is also nice cats and dogs around.
Great spot, very relax and peaceful. It's a bit far from town, but you're close to the mountains and a waterfall. I would definitely recommend it.
Friendly staff, comfy beds and beautiful scenery. Some great dirt biking tracks nearby.
There is small lake to swim in and the huts are comfortable and clean.
Crew and nature!
Boss David, he was too nice ❤️❤️❤️
Everything!!🎈💘🐒🏞️🙏
Everything , staff were so cool , in nature, and beers on site. Definately dont wanna miss this place for a chill out!
The place is stunningly beautiful. David the owner is super cool and nice. One of the best places I have ever stayed. 100% recommend it.
It was quite interesting to stay in bamboo hut in the middle of the field surrounded with nature. The mattress was comfortable and had under-bed locker for your backpack. Attentive owner. Helped with my laundry.
The ambiental music was playing outside the whole night. Only mid cold water in the showers.
Everything this place is amazing!
No complaints at all!!
Nice stay in a beautiful place with lovely staff, I recommend
The sense of being a bit more in nature and less noisy than in town. The tent was clean and neat with a good sized bathroom and hot water. The canopy over the tent was good. The ceiling fan outside and two fans in the tent helped a lot. The little fridge was great to keep things cool.
The road is not the best and I had to dodge rocks with the motorcycle. During the rainy season it might be worse. The entrance road to the campsite passes right by a big smelly trash site. The place didn't look as neat as in the pictures. It seems a bit rundown and not maintained well. The natural pool was not usable, no fresh water inflow. The entrance for the bathroom is not private; faces directly to the road and other campsites, the toilet seat and faucet were already coming loose. The location of this bungalow is right below (downhill ) from the owner's house. So it's not very private nor quiet with people, dogs, chickens and cats passing by regularly. There was no sofa included as in the description, but there were two chairs, a table and a hammock. The garden view of the property is not that great, it looks like a bunch of big holes were excavated for small ponds, but not neatly worked off to look natural.
Lovely people and gorgeous site, can spot frogs and crabs in the ponds at night!
Holes in the mosquito net in the bungalow we stayed in.
Quiet place, nice people, really clean
Nothing
The personal was kind.
The place was absolutly different from the pictures. We booked one tent and a bungalo. The tent had no matress and if you are higher than 1.70m you dont fit in it. I couldn't even sit down properly. The bungalo was also small and hot as well. There was no water as in the pictures, all dry, and rubish around the area of the camping. We left one night earlier, we told them the reasons and the didnt give as 1 cent of the price.
The little Hut was super cute
The people how worked there where friendly when you came up to them but you always had to do the first move to be friendly. No hallo ore anything from them. There is no cheep food ore vegetarian/vegan
Best place, nice spot, good food and accommodations !
The calm, the helpful staff and the nice atmosphere
The swimming pool is not available during the dry season which lasts half of the year. The camping is a little bit far and the acces is not that easy with a scooter. No toilet paper
Clean, comfortable, peaceful at night by the pool, AC very good in the room (I stayed in dormitory), close to supermarket, atm at the front door, easy to find takeaway, cats are always a big bonus and lovely smiles from the cutest kidos. A bargain! It’s a hostel in a hotel quality!
Nothing to complain about, I will recommend to anyone and come back here again :) yes it’s touristy but whatever
The room we stayed in was nice and had a large lockbox underneath, big enough for our two big backpacks and more. Food was delicious too and the staff were great.
It was very remote, so any tuktuk’s into Kampot town or the riverside area were quite expensive. However this meant it was a peaceful location so it’s not all bad.
If you are looking for quiet and chill time during your trip. This is the place to be. The weather goes colder in night. Really appreciated!
It's a little bit far from kampot you definitely need a motobyke.
We had a great experience at this Camping place. The bungalow was really comfortable, the bed and pillows were comfy, we had plugs to charge, mosquito net and a storage space to lock our belongings too. Our bungalow had a ceiling fan and it was perfect as the temperature drops at night. The shower and toilet facilities were great and clean. We also had really good breakfast with eggs, toast, duck and a good selection of fresh fruit. It's only 15mins away from the centre tiktuk costs around 9k or 10k. The owner was very friendly and helpful. This place is great at value for money we highly recommend!
Beautiful location with a nice communal area, natural pool and showers. The bamboo huts were very comfortable, with soft matresses and a private chilling area outside. They have sweet cats and a nice family that takes care of you.
The project is recent (January 2023) so they are still developing the nature and the infrastructures. The road to get there is a little rough so be prepared.
Our tent was big and comfortable, they offer delicious breakfast and dinner for a very reasonable price
There is no trashcan in the toilets
staff was super accommodating. great way to camp, choice of where to stay in a huge land, food&drinks, great owner. overall we had a great time!
Super..natural...every thing you need to relax from pph
Amazing scenery next to the mountain and really quiet. Nice staff and clean showers/wc
