The food was very and the staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was a pleasant experience. The shower in the bathroom was extremely good, good enough to purchase a one after our trip.

Il n y avait pas d eau chaude pour les deux jours et personne à qui le dire car il sont ouvert seulement de 4h00 à 9h00 le soir, même le restaurant de 4h00 à 9h00 et personne nous a dit que lendemain c était fermer et il n y avait personne sur place pour nous répondre et meme le lit était briser même chose personne à qui le dire c était très désagréable j ai laisser une note sur la table et pas de retour pour en parler...voilà mauvaise expérience.

A very modern and new facility. Everything worked wonderfully. The room was light and airy. The bed was quite comfortable. I liked the modern designs of the furiture and appliances.

Place was clean and new.

Owner calls it a suite. It is not. It is only a hotel room with a mini fridge and microwave. It was very small with no place to put a regular sized suitcase.

We did not like anything about this location. We were traveling with friends and as a group and we all booked a room at this location, but because we were a bit late arriving ( 6 PM ), they gave 2 rooms away that our friends were staying in. We did not want to be broke up as a group so had to scamble at the last minute to find rooms for the night we asked for our money back only to be declined and was still charged for the room even though we did not use it.

Very well appointed. Clean. Modern. Great shower and water pressure. Comfortable bed. Restaurant looked good but we didn’t have a chance to dine there. Right next door to the Alexander Murray hiking trail. Excellent value.

Absolutely loved our stay at Roy’s, the accommodation was amazing, the owners and staff were very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone planning to visit Kings Point 👍

Super clean, modern. Best shower ever. Fun to have a button to de-fog the mirror. Mattress comfy, but collapsing edges. Good walking distance to get to the must-see areas of Kings Point. Picnic tables by stream in the back were nice.

Fridge froze our food. Didn’t realize until it was time to leave. A minor adjustment hopefully! Pub was loud through our wall. We were thankful it closed up at a reasonable hour. The guy was a pretty good singer tho! View of gravel all around but that’s not a big issue with the beauty you get to walk to. 🌍

Room was nice, clean, reasonably sized. Bathroom is great. The dinning restaurant is fabulous.

We could hear the noise from the pub from our room, but as the pub closes around 9-10pm, it was not such a big deal.

Staying at Roy's exceeded our needs with allowing us access to our rooms earlier than usual. Having dinner restaurant/bar was definite plus!

Would have been nice to have breakfast available. Would prefer they not charge credit card until we checked in. We had three separate parties under one reservation bur all charges to one card.

Hotel needs to provide a place to do laundry for the customers. There was no facilities near us that wasn't over 30 minutes away. We ended up contacting another hotel in the area and they allowed us to come and do our laundry there.

The place looked nice and clean but not much ambiance - too slick and modern

This was the most moisy room I have every paid for - something that sounded like a machine went off every five to fifteen minutes - which made going to sleep impossible. Very frustrating. Also no bedside lamps for reading - just bright overhead lights which made reading uncomfortable.

The owner said we could check in before their 4 pm check in. I called at 3 pm, no answer. I emailed again with no answer. A staff checked us in at 4 pm with no reply. Also, they need insulation in the walls. I could hear the people next to us perfectly.

Room was great. Clean, comfortable, attractive, and super convenient to the fantastic hiking trail next door. We were pleased once we finally made it inside.

Communication. All information provided ahead of time indicated that check-in time was between 4pm and 9pm and that the restaurant would be open, so we assumed that someone would be there to check us in when we arrived at 5pm and that we might have time to grab a bit to eat after hiking the trail next door. Instead, we found the place entirely closed for Canada Day, with no one around. There was no cell signal in the area, and no wifi code had been supplied (so we could maybe connect from outside the building). We were running out of daylight so decided to hike the trail next door and see if anyone was around when we got back. Thankfully, there was a trail information center with staff about to leave for the night. The absolutely wonderful person there tried calling a couple of numbers for Roy's for us, with no answer. She then allowed us to connect to a private wifi (code is not usually given out) so we could check to see if any messages had been sent from Roy's. They had indeed emailed us the room and electronic entry code. There was no previous indication that this information would be sent last-minute. I assume that this misunderstanding was due to the holiday disrupting normal operations, but if we'd been 30 minutes later and missed the trail attendants, we may have been sleeping in our car for the night--or at the very least, driving around searching for a way to check email at 8pm. When we finally got into the room, I found an email for Roy's and sent them a note. No response. I hadn't planned to write a review--giving the benefit of the doubt due to the holiday and a third party booking (via Booking.com)--but the fact that there was no response at all made me feel like I should. All important information for check-in needs to be supplied well ahead of time. There should be no expectation that people will have, be able to, or even want to use smart phones while they are traveling (particularly in areas with no cell signal!).

Location was excellent for hubby as used the trail next door. Famous trail. Kings Point is a beautiful area. Liked the sitting area down by the river for guests. Very peaceful. The room was large enough and quiet. Very clean and the shower was awesome!

Would have liked a better sitting area in the room. A loveseat instead of a chair so two can be seated.

It’s not exactly in a picturesque location but if you’re travelling around Newfoundland all places don’t need to be super pretty.

Kings Point was a lovely surprise. We booked Roy’s since it was our halfway point travelling from St. Anthony to Twillingate. Roy’s accommodations were “modern” and the restaurant was excellent. Service and food were excellent exceptional. We checked out the Whale museum, saw a huge iceberg right off the shoreline. I would highly recommend stopping here.

The food at the restaurant is really good.

The room was very well appointed. The dining room and meals were very nice.

Breakfast was not included, so it would have been helpful to get a recommendation as to where we might get breakfast.

the facility had an upscale restaurant, a bar and 3 rooms. we rented 2 of the rooms and found them to be extremely clean and modern including the bathrooms. king's Point was a stopover on our way from the northern tip to Twillingate. The town was interesting located on a cove with some cute shops. we enjoyed our supper at Roy's restaurant and then breakfast at a lakefront inn towards the main town.

the bar was located between the rooms and the restaurant. the wall separating the bar from our friend's room was paper thin. they heard everything in the bar. the good thing was the bar closed down at 10:00 pm so after that it was very quiet.

Clean. Quiet. Space to work. Delicious dinner. Staff cheerfully went the extra mile to make my stay comfortable.

1)) A really good work space lost big points due to low, plastic, uncomfortable chair, and insufficient electrical at the desk. Suggest a power bar on the desk. 2)) Suggest you consider joining hotels moving to scent free cleaning products in rooms. Allergies to fragrance are becoming more and more common. 3)) Secondary locking device (swing bar lock) on door would have felt more secure.

It's is a lovely little motel and the staff was very friendly. The restaurant is decorated nicely and the food was good. The pub was enjoyed.

Large room with a very comfortable bed. Loved the shower, too. The bedside lights were unique and very useful. Having a nice restaurant on site for dinner and receiving 10% off because you are a guest is an added bonus. You can also get ice at the bar to take back to your room.

I went to King’s Point to hike the Alexander Murray trail on my way to gros morne. Roy’s is right beside the trail, so perfect location. The room was super spacy and the whole property recently renovated so all looked fabulous. Restaurant and pub attached very popular with great food, service and ambiance.

Wonderful lunch in the restaurant. Room filled with lots of ultramodern gadgets like bedside hoop lamps turned on, up, and off by touching. Bathroom mirror had heating to avoid steam.

There was no staff on site. Couldn’t find anyplace to check in. Slats on bed kept falling off while sleeping so mattress was sunken in. Room was not secure. Opened into a hallway that led to Pub but person who let us into room kept the key so he could enter whenever he wishes. No internet. View was of a sand pit.

This was very clean updated modern accommodation. Very comfortable to stay at with access to many of todays updated electronic amenities. Staff were friendly. Food exceptional. I'd give a five star rating for both accommodation and food.

The room was very modern and clean and super comfortable. It was great to have a microwave and fridge. The big TV and access to streaming services was great. Proximity to the river and tables to enjoy the river was nice.

When we arrived the staff were not aware of our reservation because the owner was away. This was a bit nerve wracking but luckily I had the price I paid and the details from booking.com and a room was still available. Not sure what I would have done if they had given the room away, unaware that I was coming. I did not explore the town but the area seemed quite remote so it might have been hard to find something else. There is a bar patio just outside but it was not busy.

Needed wine glasses & staff were happy to loan us some for our stay.
