Open-air bath & Private hot-spring Villa in Hakone

Everything inside was very old and dirty .Dirty walls , old and torn furnitures, no bath towels only small ones, dirty terrace with rusty chairs, cobwebs and mold everywhere , we were there in 15.00 o’clock and we had to wait outside in tough rain because inside was a mess from the previous guests , the cleaning staff came too late and after 1.30 min we were invited to stay inside .The outside onsen/jakizzi/ was not cleaned , the inside wooden onsen was dirty .I am unhappy with this property.

Very good location

As we were dependent upon public transport it was a little isolated. But the weather was good and we enjoyed our walks from the property. The bus stop is quite close by too.

A great place for a large group if you are arriving by car. There are few shops in the city and they are far away, so it is better to take care of food in advance. A great place to relax for a couple of days, I especially liked the jacuzzi with lighting. Special thanks for allowing us to leave our suitcases until check-in!

Es war ein Traum hier für zwei Nächte zu sein, wir hatten sehr viel Platz und konnten gut abschalten nach all den voll durchgeplanten letzten Tagen. Beide Onsen waren super, gerade als Europäer konnte ich mich sogar mal lang hinlegen.

Dafür kann die Unterkunft nichts, aber dennoch zu erwähnen ist die schlechte Anbindung. Mit Auto ist diese Unterkunft perfekt. Ist man auf Bus angewiesen muss man hoffen einen Sitzplatz zu haben und sich drauf einstellen bis 1h Verspätung einzuplanen. Auch Essen (Restaurants und Konbini) sollten vorher wohl geplant sein. Dennoch wie gesagt: darauf muss man sich einstellen dann ist dieser Aufenthalt ein absoluter Traum und riesige Empfehlung. Noch erwähnenswert ist, dass man dem Gebäude und Einrichtung hier und da das Alter ansieht. Hier und da etwas leicht beschädigt (eine kaputte fließe in der Küche stach sehr heraus) und ein paar Stellen gut abgenutzt. Aber das Gesamtpaket überwiegt diesem Negativen.

Nice architectural villa located in nature in Hakone - close to a huge family onsen (Yunessun). The villa had all we needed and gave a homely feeling. We enjoyed the outdoor spa with hot spring water.

We went with my family without a plan, and it was amazing! We had a great time, relaxed in both indoor and outdoor onsen baths, with our 1yo, who enjoyed it so much! House is surrounded by trees, so you don't have to worry about someone seeing you in the onsen. Lots of space, projector make you feel like you are in the cinema, and many movies to choose from. We went by car so it was convenient to visit touristic places around. Owner was also very kind and helpful. We already recommended this place to our friends and family, and hope one day we can visit again!

Some parts of house needs renovation, but overall it's not bad and doesn't take away from the positive experience :)

It was wonderful place! Beautiful and cozy villa! Fireplace good for dinner, and terrace for breakfast! I love it!

location is not great ( especially without car ) everything is old. Kitchen is not good ( pan is rusty , all the cooking tools and cutlery need to be cleaned before use )

This place was obviously amazing about 20 years ago. It would have had been AMAZING at that time. However, time has passed and it's been used for groups including camping groups(?) [There's notes pasted on various walls that seem to be written for boy scout groups]. This means everything is both dated and worn. The onsen itself was also a bit dingy, and the outdoor hot-tub clearly quite dated. Biggest tip: YOU NEED A CAR, unless you're happy to walk miles on busy (for Japan) roads, which is what we did. Luckily our luggage was fairly portable.

As above, everything needs a refresh, and it's been used as an AirBNB for large groups for years now. The cleaning is very outsourced feeling, nothing gets replaced when broken but instead removed/cut off/covered, etc.

Very beautiful house with amazing views. A highlight of our trip!
