Nette Hütte in ruhiger Lage.
Unerträglich viele Mücken
The building itself, location and the host.
We would appreciate if there was a fire pit so we could sit outside longer when the evening was Cooper.
Ystävällinen isäntäväki.
Omgivelsane og vertskap
Kunne vore bedre ventilasjon i baderom.
Okolica cisza i spokój.
Vert ville ha ekstra betaling for sengetøy.

We reserved and payed the small cabin on booking. When we arrived around 10:00 PM, the cabin was already occupied by 2 other people. We waited outside all evening, trying to contact the owner for 2 hours, but he was ignoring us (watching TV in his home). After that long time, he probably understood that we wouldn’t give up (of course, we had nowhere else to go and we couldn’t figure out what was going on), and he finally came out around 00:00 AM. He told us the cabin was taken (even though we paid) and took us to another bigger cabin that was under construction. Tools everywhere ; paint smell ; nails, screw and dirt on the floor. We had no choice to accept, even though how dangerous the place was (it was literally a construction site). He told us he was sorry and he would refund us, but the next morning he suddenly changed his words and decided otherwise (even refused small partial refund for the trouble). Results : we went to bed at 02:00 AM, completely exhausted, sleeping in a construction site. The small cabin seemed really nice, but the owner was not honest and did not respect his own words when the problem happened. If you go there, just pray you won’t have any problems.
quiet and calm location
cleanliness level (bathroom was simply dirty but also kitchen utensils) you are enforced to use bed linen from host for additional charge
Stille og rolig plass og veldig hyggelig omvisning i galleriet
Veldig koselig vertskap.Hytta var meget godt utstyrt. God parkeringsplass.
During a business trip, I managed to squeeze in a very brief visit to the beautiful Telemark region. It was a wonderful surprise. The apartment was actually a chalet in the mountains above Dalen, large enough for more than six people. Cozy, quiet, traditional, and secluded, it had a ground floor and a spacious attic. Even though it was June, we lit the wood stove and enjoyed the chalet, which also has a veranda perfect for breakfast. Just a short walk away was a very convenient 24/7 grocery store. The hosts were incredibly kind and pleasant; we talked with them a lot
We liked everything!
Hyggelig vertskap som tok godt imot oss. Koselig hytte som var godt utstyrt. Fredelige omgivelser. Ekstra bonus å få guiding i Thor Fine Art.
Dejlig beliggenhed.
The 2 points are for the site : it is lovely and charming, and the mill-house is a good idea. And that is it all !
The rest is at best an approximation or at worst a great dishonesty. The sanitary facilities are privatized -and not privative- in the basement of the building of the owners, and is of time. No shower but an old bathtub without a curtain. The cleaning of all the premises is random. The layout is made of miscellaneous waste collection and accumulation appliances, with again a random cleaning. The 2 single beds are accessible by a ladder, and the bedding is of the same order as the previous items. BUT the most interesting moment is when you have to pay in cash for the optional mandatory rental of sheets and towels: when you book, it clearly says 'you can rent....': once you have paid for your NON REFUNDABLE stay", the owner sends you a message "you must rent...." , which is not the same thing at all! There is no need to be a great teacher to know and understand very precisely the difference between 'may' and 'must'. Once you have covered all these mountain kilometers, having paid without a possible refund, how do you do it??? You pay in cash. Multiple advantages for owners: prices appearing lower on the Booking advertisement which in total is required -1300Krs + 300Krs-, less tax, less tax declaration, cash in euros to spend two winter months in Spain.... A great organization to trap people, which at the very least is a rude dishonest act, or even worse.... In any case, we experienced it extremely badly. That is why we take the time to warn people, to choose in full knowledge of the facts, which -for us- is the essential basis of all trust.
Lovely cottage in beautiful setting. Hosts are very nice - and interesting - people who made us welcome and ensured we had everything we needed.
The cabin was very nice, we've had also a good time using the sauna and seeing the art gallery which was very interesting.
This place is simply wonderful, managed by exceptional hosts. Surrounded my mountains and with a river view. The cabin is well equipped and very cozy.
Nothing to report.
Absolutely nothing not too like.
The weather......
Old cuttleries china itp all not very clean, cabin was full off old items Looks like cabin are use as storage room for junk including Christmas decoration, rust dust grease Water hard to set for correct temp. We was not able to use shower becouse was not clean For this price 1800kr for 1 night very unhappy
The location and the very friendly family living there. Including the art gallery with beautiful pictures made by the philosopher, very takented and most kind son Thor. Coffee with the host (both fluently in English!) on the terrace was such welcoming pleasure!
Bathroom was a bit old fashioned, but in the end part of the unforgettable total experirnce.
Very quaint and characteristic location, friendly host (and friendly chickens!), great view, memorable.
Be mindful of low ceilings, have to bend in some places; (at time of booking) extra cost of linen not included in the price but mandatory to use.
beautiful cottage in a traditional log style. very clean and the people there are lovely. we stayed in summer which was great and I’m sure winter would be too.
