Beautiful location. Amazing staff. Great restaurant

Wir waren begeistert von allem - die Zimmer, die Aussicht, der Pool, das Angebot an Wellness oder anderen Aktivitäten, das Personal, das Essen. Auch die Umgebung ist wunderschön, mit hübschen traditionellen Dörfern und einer atemberaubenden Landschaft. Unbedingt den Pura Beji Amerta Gangga Tempel besuchen (dort gab es auch eine wunderbare Führung). Die Unterkunft bezieht auch die Bewohner der Umgebung mit ein, indem sie Tanzkurse, Schnitzen, Besuch der Dörfer usw. anbieten. Leider konnten wir aufgrund einer verspäteten Anreise durch einen Vulkanausbruch auf einer anderen Insel nur die Hälfte der Zeit genießen. Während dieser Situation war die Unterkunft stets in Kontakt mit uns und zu unserem Erstaunen haben wir als Trostpflaster eine kostenlose 1stündige Massage für jedes Familienmitglied bekommen - dabei ist ja der Unterkunft ein Schaden entstanden, da wir während der vermissten Tagen nicht gegessen und getrunken haben. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen! Wenn man das echte Bali erleben möchte, fernab vom Massentourismus - dann ist dies der Ort dafür! Ein echtes Paradies! Danke für alles!

Maybe a little remote for some, but very peaceful area. Waterfall we cycled too wasn't that great and roads were dangerously steep in places.

Due schönste Unterkunft in der wir je waren: Ein unfassbarer Blick mit Pool über die Reisterassen, ein wunderschöner Garten, eine perfekte Massage und entspannte Nächte. Das Essen war exquisit! Besonders die Smoothie Bowl zum Frühstück und der Cappuccino aus der Siebträger-Maschine. Das Personal war extrem freundlich und macht den Ort so besonders. Die Fahrräder darf man kostenlos leihen und die wunderschöne Landschaft erkunden. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Amazing small scale hotel, with great views towards the sea in the distance and the rice fields close by. The main swimming pool was greatly placed for this view as well. We had a private villa with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a pool. The pool was great as you could swim from one bathroom to the other. The pool was lit up at night so we even went for a swim after dinner. The living room and kitchen and bathrooms are Bali-open air, with airco and doors that can be closed to the bedrooms. The bedrooms come with klamboe which make the beds very cozy and bug free. The food was amazing, both room service as well as the restaurant. Very tasty, perfectly priced and brought to you with a big smile. Also really nice because it is so small is that the staff really gets to know you, even if you only stay one night. Our son ordered pizza without tomato for lunch (as room service) and since it was so tasty he wanted to order it again for dinner. As soon as we started to say: and for him a pizza… they finished the sentence: without tomato! In the evening we got free cocktails as it was Happy Hour and from 19 there was really nice live music at the pool area (for the first time in Bali it was actually nice and not too loud). The ordered Balinese Massages for everyone, which were great value for money. Also nice for our kids (age 16 and 14); the ladies were very good at making this a great experience for them.

The only think I would say is maybe the price. Yes, you do have your own villa with pool and excellent hotel staff and food, but for Balinese standards the price is a bit on the high end. Worth every penny though, but I think you could find similar on Bali for less money (looking at where we stayed other nights). Having said this, you would pay so much more for this in Europe so we cannot really complain! 😊

Beautifully appointed property, staff very friendly and eager to help. Breakfast/ lunch/ dinner in the open restaurant overlooking the rice field was so relaxing and the food excellent. Surrounded by local villages, you can do day trips if you want to venture further afield.

There is nothing not to like

Le cadre est splendide. En plein cœur des rizières en terrasse. La chambre est exceptionnelle avec une vue a couper le souffle. Le personnel est tres aimable et souriant. Ils sont tres soucieux de notre bien-être. Les repas sont tres bons. Je recommande cet hôtel pour tous les amoureux de la nature et ceux qui cherchent un lieu pour se ressourcer.

From the moment we checked in, the staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. They even helped me get my passport which I had forgotten at our previous accommodation. The room was clean, stylish and offered a fantastic view of the beautiful rice fields. The bed was incredibly comfortable and we really appreciated the little details. We also really enjoyed the breakfast, including delicious fresh smoothies that we could choose from the menu. We also enjoyed the full body massages that were provided to us in a small hut in the middle of the rice field. This place was worth of every penny and we definitely recommend it to anybody.

Sehr idyllische Anlage mit Blick über das Reisfeld in die Weite, wunderschöne Natur, Bananenstauden, Palmen. Die im traditionellen Stil erbaute Eco Lodge fügt sich perfekt in den tollen Garten ein, der voller blühender Pflanzen ist. Wir waren begeistert, einerseits von der Architektur, der Natur, aber auch der unglaublich freundlichen Art des Personals. Wir haben es sehr genossen, auch das Frühstück war wunderbar (jeden Tag neue Kunst auf dem Cappuccino), sowie das gesamte Essen sehr lecker und schön zubereitet war. Es liegt mitten in den Hügeln von Tabanan, man kann zum Wasserfall laufen oder mit den E-bikes die Gegend erkunden, sie organisieren auch sämtliche Ausflüge). Oder einfach den Blick und den Infinity Pool genießen. Ein perfekter Ort in der Mitte Balis.

Wauw, wat een plek. Serene rust. Alles ademde sfeer uit. Het personeel is buitengewoon vriendelijk en attent, helpen je werkelijk met alles. Je wordt volledig ontzorgd. Zeer hygiënisch en schoon, echt bovenmaats als we het vergelijken met anderen. Als je in rust wilt ontspannen op Bali in een adembenemende omgeving, dan mag je deze accommodatie niet overslaan, je krijgt geen spijt.

Tolle Anlage, eingebettet in wunderschöne Reisfelder. Ein Ruhepol extra Klasse, mehrere Pools mit tollem Blick. Super Service, tolles hilfsbereites und sehr freundliches Personal. Hier ein ganz besonderer Dank an den Manager, Rezeption und Service. Himmlische Hände der Masseurin und tolles Angebot für sonstige Aktivitäten inkl. E-Bike. Tolle Kost im Restaurant und Einführung in die balinesische Tanzkunst.

ALLES! Das Hotelpersonal ist außerordentlich freundlich, hilfsbereit und macht alles mit viel Herz. Sie beziehen Dich in Ihre Kultur und Lebensweise mit ein und behandeln ihre Gäste wie Freunde. Die Massage mitten im Reisfeld war ein Traum. Die fast unberührte Natur zeigt sich in der Artenvielfalt und Entspannung fällt hier sehr leicht. Hier erlebt man das echte Bali. Wer Ruhe, Entspannung, ausgezeichnetes Essen, herzliche Menschen und unberührte Natur sucht, ist hier 100% richtig!

Super mooie en rustige plek!

This is my second review of Puri Dajuma, after our second stay at this outstanding hotel - we loved it so much when we arrived that we made time to come back before going home! After my first review we stayed in other beautiful parts of Bali including Ubud, but none compared to the natural surroundings and the beauty of Puri Dajuma. It's another type of peacefulness, with still plenty to do for those who wish. We stayed in the Sawah room this time - although I previously thought nothing could be more stunning than the Joglo rooms, the sawah rooms make you feel like it's just you living in the rice paddies. Again the rooms are far far more lovely in person. Our baby got sick just before we arrived and I can't thank the staff enough for their care and support in getting doctors from a reputable hospital to visit and helping us with all the necessary questions. Winda particularly went above and beyond to help us! We couldn't have had a better stay. It's made our great holiday absolutely perfect. Thank you team!

We are already booking our next trip here. You will not find a better hotel in Bali or anywhere to be honest (I've stayed at my share of nice hotels and this one is my most memorable now) - the rooms are stunning, the view is epic, and the pool is beautifully designed. Everything makes you feel like you're away from the world just in nature, and yet every comfort is there and has been thought of. The property's gardens are gorgeous and well cared for and the rooms are exceptionally grand in their design. Honestly I believe the place is more beautiful than the photos. Staff are absolutely wonderful, there are nice activities to do through the week, lovely walks, and anything you can do from Ubud pretty much you can do here but in more tranquility and less bustle. The food is wonderful, an unbeatable breakfast, and reasonably priced thankfully as theres of course limited options around. We didn't get bored of the menu and loved having so many vegetarian options. I have no idea why people have rated Wi-Fi poorly, i streamed the reality tv show i was missing at home and there with no buffering at all, which is better than my wifi in London often!

If you’re after serenity, peacefulness, incredible views, friendly staff and mouth-watering food, this place excels at it.

Tout. La piscine avec vue plongeante sur les rizières. Les massages au son de la nature au milieu de la rizière sont merveilleux. Le guide pour la sortie en vélo électrique jusqu'au village a eu la patience de répondre à mes multiples questions. Les écoliers étaient charmants. La vie dans ce petit village est encore bien réel, sans les touristes qui font la fête à Kuta ou qui se bousculent au centre ville d'Ubud.

De accommodatie is een klein paradijs, de ligging, de omgeving, het eten en het personeel maakte ons verblijf heel speciaal. Ik gun iedereen om hiermee kennis te maken.

Er was eigenlijk niks wat ons niet beviel, misschien het feit dat de weg er naar toe wat langer duurde dan we dachten.

Wir haben 9 Tage im Puri Dajuma Terrace verbracht. Der Begrüssungsdrink und ein kaltes Tuch waren sehr aufmerksam und dringend benötigt. Dabei haben uns die frischen Früchteteller, die aussergewöhnlich frischen Fruchtsäfte und die kleinen Aufmerksamkeiten des Hotels vor jeder Speise sehr positiv überrascht. Es gab eine grosse Auswahl an Drinks und Speisen mit balinesischen und westlichen Mahlzeiten (alle sehr lecker!). Das Personal war unglaublich zuvorkommend und die Lage des Puri Dajuma ist sehr ruhig und sauber und nicht mit dem Rest der Insel zu vergleichen. Dabei geht das Personal auf alle individuellen Bedürfnisse ein. Wir konnten von zahlreichen Angeboten des Hotels (Fitness, Yogakurse, Dschungeltour rund um das Hotel mit einem Guide, Massage, wobei uns eine offeriert wurde) profitieren. Zudem ist die Aussicht vom Zimmer traumhaft und wie aus einem Film. Von der Gastfreundschaft des Puri Dajuma können sich unserer Meinung nach viele Hotels eine Scheibe davon abschneiden!

Nichts. Unsere Erwartungen wurden übertroffen. Das Hotel ist wirklich so wie es auf den Bildern aussieht.

Tja en dan kom je daar en denk je "dit kan niet". We hebben al prachtige locaties gehad, maar dit slaat alles. Een prachtige kleinschalige (12 units) "hidden gem". Prachtig aangelegd met uitzicht over rijstterrassen en daarachter jungle. En dubbel zwembad en een uitstekende spa (jammer dat dit aan de weg ligt). Ongelooflijk aardig en behulpzaam personeel (haalden 2 gekko's uit de kamer). Heel goed restaurant met super lekker eten en ontbijt.

Het enige kleine ding: de klamboe sloot niet helemaal, maar we hebben geen mug gezien. Dat zouden ze meteen oppakken.

Everything about this place was fantastic. “Resort” type set up, but with such authenticity to the local community and culture. We were tossing up between Ubud and here and so glad we made the choice to come here. Didn’t see another hotel nearby, just local houses and local people who were so friendly. Amazing staff and food too.

I loved everything. The only negative that others (not us) might find with the place is that there were a lot of bugs, frogs, dogs, cats etc. They didn’t bother us inside the room though. That’s what you expect when you are in the middle of nowhere and it adds to the entire experience.

Absolutely stunning place. This was our best stay in Bali. The surroundings are beautiful, clean, and very peaceful. We rented a scooter and explored some of the most beautiful places away from the crowded tourist spots. Waking up in the morning with sunlight filling the room and a breathtaking view of the rice fields was unforgettable. The cleanliness was excellent, the breakfasts and food were delicious, and the staff were incredibly kind and attentive. We felt truly relaxed and taken care of during our entire stay.

As this was my first time in Bali, I am extremely happy that I found Puri Dajuma! Amazing place for solitude and relaxation. Everything was perfect: clean room with rice field view, very friendly staff, AMAZING massage, great food. Hotel located near few villages: once again very quiet and it was very nice hiking and riding bikes around. I did yoga pretty much everyday, my body feels like new now. Big big thanks to the whole team, you guys are the best!

Wir waren im Oktober 2025 im Puri Dajuma Terrace und hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt. Obwohl wir sehr spät im Hotel ankamen wurden wir sehr freundlich begrüßt und wir konnten noch ein Abendessen vorbestellen. Es gibt zwei mögliche Straßen zum Hotel, wobei eine etwas holprig ist. Die Hotelanlage, Zimmer und die Aussicht auf die Reisterrassen sind der absolute Traum. Die Fahrradtour durch den Dschungel sowie der Besuch der Schule war ein schönes Erlebnis. Das Essen ist sehr lecker und es gibt ein großes Angebot an vegetarischen Speisen. Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir hatten nichts auszusetzen und würden sofort wieder kommen :)

Vanuit de ruime cottage kijk je vanaf je zeer comfortabele bed met hemel over je terras naar de rijstvelden die omringt zijn door palmen bomen en struiken (oerwoud). Echt een plaatje! Zwembad is heerlijk verkoelend en heeft 2 etages met verschillende dieptes. Restaurant heeft goede keus in zowel eten als drinken en het personeel is heel vriendelijk en staat voor alles klaar. Vergeet ik bijna de massages, ook die zijn top!

This place was perfect. Very calm and peaceful. The staff were lovely, the food was good and reasonably priced, the pool was perfect, the rice fields were stunning. I was worried that there could be Mosquitoes, but there weren’t any. We had a 5month old baby, and we found that people were very accommodating (there were a few others with babies too). The gardens were very beautiful too. I will stay again! The only thing I regret was organising a taxi to the location instead of a hotel transfer. Their cars are electric and drivers are good - so definitely worth it. It’s a few hours with traffic from the airport, so it’s worth being comfortable.

In most accommodation places there is usually something that can be improved upon. Here we could not think of one single aspect that did not earn ‘10 out of 10’. The elevated location above rice fields with a jungle canopy in the background is just divine. Our upstairs ‘Joglo’ cabin had a huge balcony with large dining table and leisure chairs to relax and enjoy the view. The large bed directly faces big patio doors that open up onto the balcony. Everything in the room including furniture, equipment, and bedding is top quality. We had probably the best shower of our entire trip with constant hot water available. The bathroom is partly open to the elements and when raining you have the unusual experience of a hot and cold rain shower. An infinity pool faces the rice fields with plenty of sunbeds available. Gardens are beautifully maintained. Food in the restaurant is also exceptional with unlimited a la carte breakfast choices, great range of all day food choices and good wine list. added to this are the exceptional staff made for a most relaxing stay. There is a self-guided walk available around the area which we can recommend, and there are plenty of other activities including yoga, spa treatments and other excursions.

Un écrin de bonheur perdu au milieu des rizières. Toute petite structure plus proche de la chambre d’hôtes que d’un hôtel. Parfait pour ceux qui cherchent le calme et rien à faire. Les voix sont feutrées. Ne convient pas aux enfants/jeunes. Nourriture excellente. Le manager très attentif.

Very clean, everything is new and thoroughly installed. Breakfast is perfect, price for lunch and dinner and for mini bar is very adequate. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Wonderful pool.

Location is a bit far away, especially taking in consideration traffic, but it is both positive and negative, depends on what is the goal of your trip.

I loved the location—it felt tucked away in the middle of nowhere and so close to nature. Waking up to the paddy fields was the best part, with a breathtaking sunrise to start the day. The food was also wonderful.

I appreciate that the hotel is committed to sustainability, but it would be nice if the spa provided something to change into—like disposable or reusable spa underwear—rather than having to use our own.

Area was beautiful and swimming pool was good. Great for drone shots. Mountain bikes were good.

From our last dinner and dessert, we got a terrible food poisoning that got us multiple time to hospital both in Bali and back home in Japan. The chef was completely ignorant to the food health and quality and destroyed our whole Bali trip. We experienced a lot of vomiting and diarrhea and on top of it, due to some construction and piping problem the toilet of our room got clogged!!! It was a nightmare and I'm not sure if they do something about it (I was not convinced that this will not happen to anyone else), So I think it's better that others consider this factor.

Bali pur Gefühl beim Betreten der Anlage. Wunderschönes Resort, mit atemberaubender Aussicht vom Pool auf die elegant angelegten Reisterrassen und Dschungel, sowie man es aus Bilderbüchern kennt. Die Anlage ist sehr groß aber mit wenigen Zimmern, weshalb man sehr privat ist bzw. den Pool fast für sich alleine hat. Sehr gutes Restaurant mit günstigen Preisen und wunderschöner Aussicht. Das Ressort ist sehr ruhig mitten in der Natur gelegen und gut mit dem Auto erreichbar. Wichtige Geschäfte gibt es in der Umgebung, jedoch möchte man das Ressort gar nicht verlassen, weil es einfach alles von Aussicht, Yoga, Essen, Spa usw. was man sich von Bali erwartet, bietet. Das Ressort ist in echt noch viel schöner als auf den Fotos.

The exterior was beautiful, the location was great, and the bathroom was very nice.

The room felt a bit too cold, especially in the evenings, and lacked warmth and atmosphere. The food was disappointing for the price we paid. We were served a pizza that tasted like a frozen one, and while the other dishes were acceptable, none of them were exceptional. For this price range, the food really needs improvement. The bathroom was beautiful, but the bedroom itself was quite simple and nothing special, and at night it lacked warmth and life. Some of the staff were very welcoming, but others less so.

In de omgeving zijn niet veel dorpjes of winkels, maar dat is ook weer een voordeel. Je komt hier nog in het echte Bali.

Our recent stay at Puri Dajuma Terrace was fantastic. An incredible location, away from the packed touristy areas. The view of the rice terrace at the facility is amazing. Highly recommend the walking tour to the neighbouring villages and the waterfall. Beyond location, the cleanliness of the entire facility was impeccable. The rooms were spotless, with great attention to detail. The common areas were also perfectly maintained, showing a clear commitment to guest comfort and hygiene. Finally, what truly made our stay memorable was the kindness and professionalism of the staff: every single person, from the front desk to the housekeeping team, was warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. I highly recommend the facility to anyone looking for a top-notch experience. The combination of its perfect location, immaculate rooms, and an incredibly kind staff makes it a true gem.

Beautiful rooms designed with more care than most. Stunning view over the rice fields, so serene. Quiet unspoillt beauty of the surrounding area. We greatly enjoyed all three of the local 1-2 hour walks on the hotel map handout.
