Atmospheric, historical building. Good central location and within walking distance of the train station.

Geweldige ligging middenin het centrum van Hoorn. Heel ruim, goed bed en alles brandschoon. Aardige gastheer met passie voor zijn vak. Zeer aan te bevelen!

Wat ons betreft iets te veel tierelantijntjes en kunst maar dat is persoonlijk. Geen lekkere bank, maar ook niet gemist voor ons doel van het verblijf

Excellent- loved the furnishings

Een prachtig historisch pand, met kunst, warme kleuren en kamers vol charme. Het bijzondere welkom, met een korte rondleiding over de geschiedenis en op de achtergrond klassieke muziek, zette meteen de toon. Er stond een flesje wijn klaar met een versnapering. Wat een aardige attentie! Ondanks de drukte buiten tijdens de marktdag was het binnen opvallend stil en rustig. Mede door het cultuurweekend, de kunstmarkt, Filmhuis Oostereiland en de sfeervolle wandelingen langs het water heb ik enorm genoten. Het was daarna goed uitrusten bij het zitje buiten bij de Ginko‑boom. Fijne koele slaapkamer en een goed bed. Met een lang weekend even het gevoel gehad van leven in een andere tijd. Ik kan het verblijf in de Ginko van harte aanbevelen. Bedankt voor de gastvrijheid.

Het was een compleet huis met alles erop en eraan. Heel ruim en van alle gemakken voorzien. Hele aardige eigenaar. Hij mag trots zijn op dit pand.

You can't beat this location and history of the house itself. Incredible place with supercomfy king bed and complete, tasteful kitchen. The decoration is out of this world. You could walk around for hours in this house and still discover new things. The crown and glory is the beautiful Ginkgo tree in the courtyard.

Prachtige lokatie, prachtige indeling, heel ruim, echt helemaal niks op aan te merken. Zeer vriendelijke host.

Mooie lokatie midden in hoorn. De B&B was voortreffelijk. Je kijkt je ogen uit zo groot en mooi.

Helemaal niets echt een aanrader als je eens iets anders wilt dan een moderne kamer.

De Ginkgo is een Schitterend duplex-appartement. Ruim en sfeervol interieur, ingericht met een groot aantal museale stukken. Je geraakt niet uitgekeken op zoveel fraais ! De locatie is ook zeer goed, midden in het historische centrum van Hoorn, en dichtbij een parkeergarage. De gastheren zijn uitermate vriendelijk, en ze staan altijd klaar voor advies, tips etc. De ontvangst is heel erg hartelijk, met extra taart en wijn als cadeau. We voelen ons erg welkom. We verbleven een volledige week, en zijn bijzonder positief over dit verblijf !

Hele goede gastheren en de prachtige inrichting is op zich al een tripje naar Hoorn waard. Aan werkelijk álles is gedacht en het is super comfortabel. Perfecte locatie.

18th century house and antique contents. Very pleasant host.

Supergroot appartement op een toplocatie. Echt een uniek verblijf, geweldig om een keer mee te maken. De locatie is top, op zaterdagochtend heb je de markt voor de deur, dus voor vers brood hoef je alleen over te steken. Op andere dagen zitten er 2 bakkers in de buurt. We zijn gastvrij ontvangen en hoorden meer over de historie van het pand.

Alles was top, alleen de hoofdkussens vonden we niet heel fijn.

Toplocatie en bijzondere plek om te verblijven midden in historisch Hoorn. Zeer gastvrij ontvangen en aan alles is gedacht. Verse bloemen, fruit en een fles wijn. Het pand zelf is eeuwenoud en staat vol met bijzonder spullen.

Geen opmerkingen, maar ik als ouwetje kwam bijna niet uit het bad. Misschien een anti slip matje er in ?

Die Ausstattung der Wohnung, die zentrale Lage, die Gastfreundschaft waren einmalig. Die Wohnung ist mit antiken Möbeln ,mit tollen Accessoires und mit Blumen sehr geschmackvoll ausgestattet .

Het pand en de uitbater waren meer dan perfect jammer genoeg voor mijn vrouw waren er heel veel trappen. Dus niet iets voor oudere mensen. Ook mis je een toilet bij de slaapkamer. Ook vonden wij het wat aan de frisse kant. Maar het is ook ontzettend oud.

This apartment is like being in a museum. Very nicely decorated and spacious. Rudolph is an attentive host. It's about a 10 minute walk to the train station and very close to the center of Hoorn.

If stairs are an issue, this is not your place. One floor up to the living space and another to the bedroom. Bathroom and bedroom are on different levels.

Everything! Rudolf was the perfect host from greeting us at the door to showing us around this exquisite home. The fresh floral arrangements and plants were so fragrant and beautiful. Everything was thoughtfully provided. It was like living in a beautiful museum. The location could not be better, the shower had hot water and was a good size; everything was perfect. Do not hesitate to book this lovely stay in Hoorn.

Locatie super! Lieve mensen. Net alsof je een museum in stapt. 40 jaar liefde en passie in het huis.

Super mooi en tot in detail gerestaureerd. De gastheer heeft tijdens de rondleiding alles verteld over het pand en hun oude zaak wat ze nu hebben omgebouwd tot prachtige eetkamer. De locatie lijkt net een museum waar je mag verblijven.

De eigenaar is ontzettend aardig, het pand is prachtig. Honderden jaren oud, mooi ingericht, heel ruim. De locatie is top, meteen naast een onderdeel van de Statenpoort, fantastisch museum om een wandeling te starten. Het is zelfs mooier dan op de foto's.

The steps were very steep and the bathroom wasn’t on the same floor as the bedroom but I loved the place anyway.

De locatie ademt sfeer en rust. Je bevind je echt in een andere wereld en daardoor kan je je hoofd even helemaal leeg maken en je fantasie de vrije loop laten.

De meubels waren heel mooi en pasten perfect bij de sfeer van het huisje, maar waren minder comfortabel om op te zitten

Een sfeervol ingericht appartement op en farastische plek met heel vriendelijk en behulpzame eigenaren.

Een kleine tip. Stoelen zijn niet echt comfortabel . en we ruiken boven de lucht van sigarettenrook dat is niet echt prettig. Maar het was vooral een top verblijf

Everything was great. Very cool apartment

It was like staying in an elegant historical apartment with furnishings from all over the world. The location was perfect, close enough to the train station, in the centre of town, but quiet bedroom at back of building. Hosts had thought of everything and more - extra touches appreciated!

Not a big deal, but maybe a toaster would be handy (if there was one we never found it), and easier than turning on the oven. As noted by others, bedroom is upstairs and no bathroom ensuite. Tip: Just take your PJs and essentials upstairs and leave the heavy suitcase in the kitchen or living room! That way you only need to carry it up one flight of stairs.

Warm en gastvrij welkom. Echt een cadeautje. Daarmee begint een paar dagen weg al als een feest. Netjes, superschoon. Heerlijke Rituals geuren. Lekkere zepen van Rituals in de badkamer. Genoeg handdoeken. Flesje wijn staat klaar in de keuken. Fantastisch!

Ons verblijf was zonder ontbijt. Het wonen in een enorm sfeervol volledig ingericht huis, midden in het centrum.

Typical of many hotel rooms and apartments, no provision was made for a power socket, good lighting seat and mirror for hair drying, make up and grooming. A small point though in this special apartment!

Die Gastgeber waren super, die Einrichtung hat Sammlerwert und ist liebevoll zusammengestellt, die Austattung (küche/Bad) war viel mehr als erwartet…

…mit Auto sehr schwer zu finden, das liegt aber an der Stadt und deren Einbahnstrassensystem, ncht am Gastgeber..

The apartment was beautiful and well Equipped. The bed was very comfy. There is a lovely little balcony outside the kitchen overlooking an inner courtyard. A lovely place for breakfast. The owners made us feel very welcome. Hoorn is a lovely small town, with a harbour regularly visited by tall ships. Would really recommend the apartment.

Magnificent property with a truly exceptional design and feel. The host was friendly and helpful. He thought about everything; the apartment was very well equipped with lots of attention to detail in every corner of the house. This is a special place that we will be happy to stay at again, on our next visit to Hoorn.

Decorated in an unusual, quirky, and fun way. Lots of collectibles, mid-century and turn of the century furniture, eclectic colour scheme, and cute eye candy everywhere. The outside balcony was wonderful, with an internal courtyard and a view of the Church Dome.

There is no bathroom on the bedroom floor, and stairs must be negotiated, which requires care at night. Though the furniture is cool, it's not actually all that comfortable, but this is a minor complaint. Stairs throughout, so not possible for anyone with mobility problems.

The location was great, very central to all amenities, there was a vast selection of restaurants depending on your food choice and pocket. I had the pleasure of dining in a Michelin recommended restaurant for my birthday it was excellent. There are also some great fish, and butchers as well as excellent cheeses shops, which we availed off, as the kitchen in our accommodation was very well furnished for an enthusiastic cook. We did lots of walking, hired a tandem and did some sight seeing by bike, saw interesting wild life-herons seem to be particularly visible in and around Hoorn. We parked our car in an underground car park recommended by our host-extremely secure and very reasonable priced. Overall, we had a very relaxing week and would certainly recommend the accommodation and the city to others.

A beautiful, light, spacious place to stay. Extremely clean and a helpful host. Full of stylish character and a great location in town. Hoorn is a super town.

Such a beatiful old house! The interior is very interesting and spacious, we loved it! Location is perfect, in the center of Hoorn and still it is quiet inside. Also, thank you for the welcome tour, we were fascinated by getting to know the house while beautiful music was on. We really recommend the place!

Location was great. Overall venue was really great. Different spaces in the house was great. Loved the big windows looking out on the street. And then the bedroom window looking out on the green space. Very comfortable bed.

Everything was great

It was an exceptional stay. First the sheer size of the place. Second, the amazing antiques and furniture, yet it still felt very cosy. There was classical music playing on TV as we walked in and that totally suited the atmosphere. There were very thoughtful touches like toothbrushes and toothpaste in the bathroom and dressing gowns. It's right in the heart of Hoorn yet very quiet. And the bed was the comfiest I have ever slept in. We would have stayed longer if we could. We were here on a beer tour following Tim Skelton's Beer in the Netherlands and this was a wonderful stop!

Trip back to the Golden Era of the Dutch History.

I love everything about this property. I love the hosts, the location, the thoughtfulness of the hosts, and I LOVE the energy I get from this place. This is my second time at this property and it feels like my home away from home.
