Excellent location in large and well-kept grounds (very close to Craignure ferry, but with a feel of seclusion and Mull countryside). Staff very friendly and accommodating. Good value to have the thermal experiences and pool included in the rates for deluxe and suite rooms. Bar staff were particularly kind and attentive. Excellent breakfast (both buffet and included menu options). Very dog friendly hotel - which is so nice to see. Very kind of the staff to allow use of hotel facilities and spa after check-out (whilst waiting for a later ferry). Thank you a wonderful stay.

SPA ist mini. rezeptionist auf die Frage, wann Fähren fahren "you can google it" (wow, darauf wäre ich nicht gekommen). kaffee ist dunkles wasser. alle günstigen whisky, die auf der karte angeboten wurden, waren nicht erhältlich. am wasserhahn kommt nur ein dünner strahl. kein strom im zimmer für 30 minuten

It is close to the Craignure ferry terminal.

There is no elevator. We had to drag our luggage and go through multiple doors and stairways to get to our room. The power went off twice in one night. Signage to find the spa and sauna is not very clear.

I really enjoyed my stay here at this lovely inn, close to the Mull - Oban ferry. I could see the vessel arriving from the spacious lounge so didn't have to leave until then. Dinner was superb too, very tasty and beautifully presented as was the continental breakfast. The staff generally were very good.

The only irritation was the lady who manages the restaurant. She is very loud and does not promote a calming presence when she's on duty.

The photos don’t do it justice - it has beautiful lounge areas airy great views is convenient to hiking trails and the ferry. The sauna steam and indoor pool facilities are a treat. The restaurant offers a really good selection at its continental buffet and has good hot breakfast. Dinner was tasty- excellent starters . Rooms were cleverly decorated and spacious with nice bathrooms.

After long day of driving and ferries it’s was a perfect place to eat, drink and s!

Our room was quite a long way from the entrance with a lot of stairs, and no lift, which made it difficult for my elderly mum to access.

Lack of pressure with the water in the bathroom, being told you have to run the water for 15 minutes for it to get hot. And then another day no hot water due to boiler issues, if this happens to you then go to the spa accessible shower, it wasn’t very clean but at least I could wash my hair, I actioned this myself. They stop serving food in the restaurant at 8.30pm. Considering we paid over £1,700 for our stay I expected so much more. Also had to wait at the bar a number of times as no staff were present. Plus they charge £5 extra for cappuccino’s at the breakfast service which should be included within the bed & breakfast package.

Most staff very nice. Bedrooms very clean and made best use of small spaces, most staff friendly, very handy for ferry from Oban,views from the lounge were stunning. Nice to see dogs made so welcome.

Restaurant manager very poor attitude. Lots of empty tables asked early for table 2nd night but couldn’t take us either night . Food in bar mediocre. Generally tatty, old, and worn. Facilities and decor outdated and main reception dirty floors and worn carpets. Pool very old and dated. Please anyone with any mobility issues ensure you get a room close to reception. No lift and was told ours had 18/20 steps but was actually 40/50 up and down floors to reach it and along several corridors was as far away from reception in damp smelling bottom end as possible.

Beautiful venue with professional and friendly staff. We enjoyed the spa facilities and dinner in the restaurant was delicious.

Common areas were lovely & a great place to congregate with stunning views. Location good for day trips. Staff were obliging & friendly, the restaurant had lovely food & great service, if it’s full you can get the same menu in the bar areas.

The classic room (71) we had was small and a good 4+ minutes walk from reception, 2 floors down, felt like a dungeon, or a hostel, 1/2 a set of stairs up, thru multiple fire doors . The room was clean but had no where for any bags except the floor (on request staff brought 2 bag holders, only 1 useful, the other so small might have worked for your bathroom bag)but the staff did respond very quickly & with a smile. The bathroom was another experience, so small most ensuites are bigger, shower good but the toilet is jammed into 1/2 the space necessary so if you sit you can’t help burning your leg on the heated towel rail (a great plus but position not good) if you keep the towel over the side it is manageable. Given the our room was so far away with lots of steps (no lifts!), the staff were very helpful and carried all the bags to the room & back to the car, much appreciated.

Easy to find, clean and cosy! Shout out to the restaurant team too, very nice, friendly and fun! We also saw a full family of deer out the window while having dinner which was pretty amazing!

Das Zimmer war absolut in Ordnung. Das Frühstück war angemessen. Es gab eine resolute Serviechefin und sehr bemühte junge Kollegen. Wir haben einmal dort zu abend gegessen und waren leider enttäuscht was Qualität vs. Preis betrifft.

Wir mussten mit den Koffern 2 Etagen runterlaufen und dann wieder hoch, entweder gab es keinen Fahrstuhl oder er wurde uns nicht empfohlen. Die Fluren waren dann sehr sehr lang mit wieder Stufen. Also für Menschen mit Gehbehinderungen ist das Hotel ungeeignet. Ich hatte noch nie so einen trocknen Fisch und so harten Spargel in einer wirklich kleinen Portion und dann 35 Pfound. Das kann ich nicht gut bewerten. leider.

Restaurant was brilliant, the little Philippinno lady that seem to be in charmed ran a fantastic service. She was very organized and was always thanking her staff when she asked them to do something. The service from all restaurant staff was excellent. All other staff were lovely as well. Extremely close to the ferry back to the mainland.

All the steps. To get to our room we had to go down 2 lots of steps walk along corridor a bit them up a flight. Also didn’t like that the shower was over a bathtub. Note to self to check this in future and booking accommodation.

Location is stunning. Rooms not large but adequate. Clean and comfortable. No lift and lots of stairs, so if mobility is an issue make enquiries. Dinner was enjoyable though not fine dining. We did not use spa facilities, so cannot comment.

Lots of potential, but from check in to check out, it missed the mark. The first rule of hospitality is never to make your guests feel uncomfortable. From being kicked out of an open empty lounge because we didn't have a BOOKING TO SIT there, to being told to go and check if we could have coffee in the lounge after dinner. I decided this hotel was not for me.

Im Großen und Ganzen hat es uns gefallen, aber es gibt einige Kleinigkeiten (siehe negatives unten), mit denen wir nicht so zufrieden waren. Das Zimmer war gut und sauber und wir hatten einen schönen Blick.

20 Pfund pro Nacht pro Hund ist sehr teuer, dafür dass der Hund nur geduldet wird. Essen ist nur außerhalb vom Restaurant möglich (was ok wäre, wenn es anständige Tische gäbe). Es gibt allerdings nur niedrige Sofatische und das erinnert sehr an Collegezeiten. Außerdem waren die Hundekotbeutel leer und es gibt nur einen Mülleimer dafür, den man suchen muss. Wir haben uns gefragt, warum der Hund so teuer ist, wenn es dafür keinen Gegenwert gibt. Außerdem wurden wir im Hundebereich beim Frühstück „vergessen“ und mussten mehrmals jemanden suchen und ansprechen, wenn wir was gebraucht haben, wie etwa um warmes Frühstück oder Kaffee zu bestellen. An beiden Tagen beim Frühstück war das Buffet halb leer und wir mussten auch da nach vielem fragen (Butter, Orangensaft, Joghurt, Teller etc), damit es aufgefüllt wird, was lange gedauert hat. Während des Kinderschwimmkurses nur eine Bahn frei zum Schwimmen, allerdings war diese sehr schmal und 2 Erwachsene konnten nicht aneinander vorbei schwimmen. Es wäre schön gewesen, wenn die Zeiten für Kinderschwimmkurse an der Rezeption Aushängen würden.

Breakfast was very good with a great view from the restaurant. The bed was a great size and very comfortable. The food was excellent and big portion sizes. The staff were all very good and helpful.

Inviting atmosphere right upon arrival, main lobby was lively, and friendly service at reception. Was travelling with a bike, they had a shed with cctv — so all good here. The room was super cozy and with great views. Liked that it also had real ground coffee and nice local sweets. Spa facilities can be used for free. Nice smelling bath products and a real bath. Seafood in the restaurant was cooked well.

Door soundproofing could have been better — when your neighbours are trying to find the key to the room etc you can hear everything. The room was slightly worn, but nothing critical. Some of the restaurant staff are tired, and thus unbothered to make you feel welcome.

Shower water always took ages to become hot - when I asked about this staff told me the room was far from the pump room. A note in the room would have been helpful so we know to let the cold water run through.

I really like the view from our room, the spa, and the general vibes that were really cosy!

The sound proofing is not amazing, I got woken up in the morning by people walking by and above me. The breakfast wasn’t amazing, my veggie breakfast consisted in one poor sausage, half a tomato, a mushroom with no seasoning, and a potato scone that was missing and that I had to ask for twice. The staff at the restaurant wasn’t the most agreable, and the younger staff at both the bar and the restaurant looked pretty stressed.

The common areas smelt of wet dogs. Lots of very large dogs in the hotel. The carpets and the furniture all needs updating in the main areas and restaurant.

We travelled there by train and Craignure ferry and walked to the hotel , about 15 minutes with our cases. We arevin our late sixties. Holly on reception was really helpful providing bus timetables and so bubbly and friendly. The lady greeting us each day in the dining room was friendly, efficient and hard working making sure our every need was met. Lovely choice for breakfast , both continental and cooked. Our one evening meal to celebrate a birthday was exceptional.Large windows with spectacular views. We also loved the view from our room especially as the weather was so wet and changeable beautiful skies. We liked the idea of our room being serviced later in the day, it suited our routine. The walk along the path through the ancient woodland with the carved animals towards Craignure and the public bus and ferry port was magical. We enjoyed having a tea pot and a cafetiera along with Tunnock chocolate wafers and chocolate tea cakes, lots of choice of teas too ,daily on our hospitality tray. We swam in the clean indoor pool each morning with a great view over the Sound. All facilities were great and the staff really friendly.

Sadly, the restaurant staff at both dinner and breakfast were hopeless. Plenty of them but all wandering around with no purpose either guests clearly frustrated by either their short responses when being asked questions or lack of action when asking for the buffet to be replenished at breakfast. My room was nice with some good touches but let down by the black mouldy silicon around the bath and in the bath panel

I found the bath shower combination a little awkward to use, my wife couldn’t use either as she has a bad hip and couldn’t climb into the bath to use the shower, so a walk in shower would have been better

The staff were all so pleasant, friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much bother. I do do hope the owners / company appreciate the staff they have. There was a great atmosphere in the hotel all day but especially at night. The location was excellent for exploring the island and on the wet days the pool was a wonderful bonus. The food was delightful.

Schlepping heavy suitcase a long way from the room to the front desk ...2 sets of stairs. No where to put suitcases in the room except on the floor (seems a universal omision in hotels).

Location beautiful, rooms comfy and clean with nice touches of the Scottish biscuits. The suite with the hot tub was lovely.

The hallways and main areas are dated and could do with decoration which would make the experience improve. We booked a meal on the first night for a member of our groups birthday and the restaurant manager was rude and not accommodating at all. The second day was much better with the remaining staff a joy to be around.

Posizione comodissima per raggiungere ogni parte di Mull, inoltre è a soli 2 minuti di auto dal porto a cui arriva il traghetto per Oban. Il ristorante e il bar hanno un ottimo assortimento di prodotti tipici di alta qualità sia per il cibo che per i drink. Camera pulita e molto spaziosa rifornita ogni giorno con piccoli snack omaggio per colazione e spuntini Purtroppo non abbiamo avuto modo di provare il servizio spa che sembrava comunque super invitante

Le personnel pas professionnel et pas aimable La saleté (taches sur les murs et les rideaux, sols collants, verres qui traînent de partout sur la terrasse, un cendrier unique pour tout l’hôtel sur la terrasse qui débordait et n’a jamais été vidé, piscine vétuste façon piscine municipale avec des touffes de cheveux qui flottent en surface) Le spa nullissime affiche des offres promotionnelles qui sont plus chers que les prix initiaux on le précise, on nous envoie bouler. Les prix ont ensuite été modifiés sur les affiches. Impossible a priori d’avoir un soin pour 2 simultanément, aucune tentative de trouver une solution de la part du personnel. Les serveurs mous, déambulent ou se cachent en cuisine, ne disent pas bonjour et lorsqu’on se permet de choisir notre table au petit déjeuner (280€ la nuit on peut se le permettre il me semble) nous demandent si on cherche du boulot … blague douteuse. Un des serveurs pleurait et soufflait à chaque fois qu’un client s’adressait à lui. De manière générale une cata. Booké pour 3 nuits, grand regret, tarif beaucoup trop élevé. 100€ petit déjeuner inclus aurait été plus justifié…

All rooms should have bottled water and dressing robes in them regardless of type of room. How are you to use the facilities in the spa without a robe whilst your stay but pay extra !

Very nice hotel, decorated nicely with Scottish details all around. Room was cosy and well equipped, we had extra bed for child which was nice. Breakfast was good with great selection of à la cart meals and continental choice of food. Staff were really helpful, and we liked the pool.

The position of the hotel was fabulous. Short drive from ferry terminal. Lovely welcome on arrival, staff were pleasant & friendly. Nice room, decent size & comfortable bed. We had a light meal in the evening which was delicious & the breakfast selection in the morning was excellent with choices of juices, cereals, fruit, pastries. There was also a nice choice of individually cooked breakfast selection. Overall very impressed with the food. We didn’t have time to try out the spa & pool.

We stayed here for 3 nights as a family and were assured before booking that a kids’ breakfast menu would be available, but on arrival we were told there wasn’t one. Unfortunately, we were also very disappointed by the behaviour of the management. We overheard a comment made about us when they thought we couldn’t hear, which we found disrespectful and uncomfortable. The lady manager was also particularly rude and, in our experience, did not treat us with the same courtesy shown to other guests. The overall behaviour felt racially insensitive and left us feeling unwelcome. Most of the other staff were pleasant, but the management’s attitude significantly affected our stay. Based on our experience, we would not recommend this hotel and will not stay here again.

The hotel is close to the Oban/Craignure ferry.

The hotel room was dirty with questionable substances smeared on the walls and several species of insects in the room. The spa had no ambience, poor service, and the spa staff are rude. The food was terrible and very expensive, service was slow and disorganized. One waiter we met in the lounge, Zoltan, was polite and helpful.

E' inconcepibile che una struttura del genere NON abbia un ascensore per i piani inferiori. Ho difficoltà motorie e quando ho chieso una sistemazione adeguata mi hanno mandato al -2 via scale, trattandosi dell'Isola di Mull era impossibile trovare tna accomodation adeguata sostititiva per 4 persone. Il problema nasce dall'impossibilità di mantenere i filtri su Booking (fate attenzione perchè capita) e dando per scontata la mia prenotazione di Febbraio ho chiesto alla struttura conferma solo pochi giorni prima di arrivare. Resta il fatto che una struttura come questa non può ignorare l'esistenza degli ascensori già esistenti dal 1800.

Struttua un po’ vintage ma comoda e affascinante, con un buon ristorante e una bella passeggiata lungo l’ acqua fino al molo. Il personale sempre gentile e disponibile.

Hotel zit dichtbij de ferry vanaf Oban, dat is prettig. Hotel is mooi gelegen en heeft een mooi uitzicht over het water. Het eten was erg lekker.

Het was erg warm op de kamer. Dit had ik ook jn andere recensies gelezen, een hardnekkig iets blijkbaar. Een raam openzetten deed weinig aangezien er geen zuchtje wind stond. Het hotel voelt daarnaast gedateerd aan, een upgrade zou geen kwaad kunnen. Als laatste het personeel, hoewel we door het meeste personeel vriendelijk te woord werden gestaan was dit niet bij alle het gevoel, zo waren de dames in het restaurant bij het ontbijt ongeïnteresseerd en ook een dame bij het zwembad had overduidelijk geen zin in haar werk. Complimenten daarentegen naar het barpersoneel en de sr. dame in de bediening! Als laatste de bedden, die waren voor ons erg oncomfortabel.
