Big Tomato - Paradise in Papa Aroha, Coromandel

This is one of the best properties we have ever stayed in. It is quirky and obviously someones much loved home full of character, beautiful objects and gives a great vibe. The gin deck was fantastic as was the pond area. Just fabulous.

To find something we didn't like I am being very picky, the CD player did not work.

Groot huis met mooie ligging. Veel plaatsen binnen om te zitten. Ruime keuken en eetruimte. Veel decoratie. Vele terrassen buiten om te zitten of te eten. Alles is er aanwezig.

Bij onze aankomst was er in het huis een heel specifieke geur. Die vonden wij erg storend. Vandaar zijn we er maar 1 nacht gebleven van de 3 die we geboekt hadden. Het huis en het terras met zeezicht ligt pal naast de weg tussen Coromandel en Colville. Het verkeer was er drukker dan wat we verwacht hadden voor de landelijke ligging van het huis. De berging staat overvol met eetwaren en producten. Vrij veel hiervan zijn al een hele tijd over hun houdbaarheidsdatum. In de badkamer stonden een mandje medicijnen, naast het feit dat dit gevaarlijk is waren er hiervan ook een deel over tijd. De matras in de hoofdslaapkamer heeft wel zijn beste tijd gehad.

Amazing views. High quality property throughout . Everything we could possibly need and more . We had a fantastic Italian feast and a breakfast provided by the manager Sarah and her partner benni . This was exceptional and all laid out for us . Would highly recommend this and well worth the extra cost . Thank you both . Can’t wait to come back again. Wish we had stayed longer than 3 nights

Exceptional architecture and the garden. You could see the ocean from the garden. The shower, which you could turn into an outdoor shower, was an amazing experience.

The beds were a bit small and are getting on in years. The food in the storage and freezer needs to be sorted out.

Beautiful property - unique features like the fish pond. Fully equipped, peaceful, beautiful setting - we loved it!

One bedroom didn’t have a door - which was kind of fine but would’ve liked that little bit of privacy

The property was situated right by the stunning Hauraki Gulf, with beautiful views of the sea, beautiful decor, generous use of pantry and fridge stuff. The bed was super comfy, everything was clean, with a homely feel to it. The house also featured a gorgeous fish pond outside which was ideal for a afternoon beer and snack :) everything was exceptional and we didnt want to leave on our check out day!

I didn’t realize that one bedroom didn’t have a door. It wasn’t a problem for us but want to note it

We loved everything about the property, location, facilities, the property has an amazing view that we enjoyed a lot, you’ll be delighted with a beautiful sunset 🌅 every day. Linley, the owner was incredibly helpful, easy to talk with her and willing to help at anytime. It was our Anniversary so we wanted a special place and we found it here. Thanks Linley and John. We loved the decor , the peaceful garden and shady places to sit and read . The deck facing the sea brought a welcome sea breeze in the afternoon.

Nothing - loved how homely and welcoming it was

This property had a wonderful bohemian feel with generous use of the contents of their pantry, freezer and garden. Beautiful view of the sea from the end of the property and lovely paths to follow through the gardens.

The only concern were the mosquitoes especially at night. Too hot to shut the place up, no screens on any windows and no fan to blow away the mosquitoes. For older people, access to the beach via the nearby domain was difficult but would be fine for those younger.

The ambience of the house is perfect. Located just across the road from a lovely swimming beach. A gorgeous pond and garden to enjoy. The home itself is just beautiful full of gorgeous art and decorations. Comfortable bed. Everything so clean.
