Beautiful out great facilities

My wife and I booked a super deluxe room but we're allocated an air bnb for 6 above the bar, with mixed benefits. Evening meal was superb and service exceptional. Breakfast was slightly disappointing in that there was no buffet but a long menu from which everything had to be ordered, but again food was very good. Very efficient and friendly staff.

Echt authentiek en gezellig. Leuk om naar Castle combe te wandelen. Het eten is werkelijk fantastisch . Wij waren er met bank holiday en er was een lokaal feestje waar je deel van mocht maken. Toffe pub, heel gezellig en Francesca was een super host.

The staff are exceptional along with the lovely accommodation! Every thing is clean and bright. The food is amazing! An awesome hidden gem!! Loved staying here. Again the staff are awesome! Thank you from the Aussies.

Absolutely nothing

Room was fantastic and the pub itself was great. The staff were superb in their warmth, friendly and professional. Highly recommend.

Food good quality but a tad pricey. One tiny point, there was only one table in the restaurant occupied and we got seated on the next table. Space people out if there is lots of availability so you don't feel on top of each other. Of course, we could have asked to choose a different one, so again it's just a small point and I would choose this hotel everyday of the week, it was fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Staff were all lovely and helpful. Room was great and very quiet for a pub. I would definitely recommend staying here. The food was the best I've had for a long time.

The rooms were a little stuffy because of the hot weather we've had, maybe a fan would of been helpful in the room. Luckily I always travel with a portable one as I don't feel comfortable with the window open on the ground floor.

Le camere si trovano ad un livello superiore, esterno dalla struttura del pub. Si cammina sotto una pensilina con un piccolo giardino. La stanza è spaziosa, il bagno grande con una doccia stupenda. Tutti di recentissima ristrutturazione. Si può cenare al pub (tipico) e la colazione viene servita nello stesso ambiente. Personale molto gentile.

The room was clean and I appreciated that the staff accommodated a late check-in. The location was quiet and peaceful.

The wifi did not work which was a major inconvenience. I spoke with the staff on duty and she was also unable to connect to the wifi. We were disappointed that the breakfast was continental with no hot or cooked items available. Furthermore the bed was queen size but I had reserved a king size bed. The staff member said that the fault was with booking.com because they did not notify the Inn of the room size.

The continental breakfast is simple but good, it included things like yoghurt, berries, croissants and ham, and barista coffee was greatly appreciated. The apartment was quite large.

I booked a Superior King Room. It was not at all what the photos showed. Maybe other rooms are as advertised. Our room was above the pub. The carpet was completely covered in stains or mould. The bathroom and kitchen floors were sticky. The rooms were not even close to what was pictured in the booking. There were bugs crawling across the loungeroom floor. The wifi didn't work at all. An entire separate kitchen and not a single wine glass provided. One of the most uncomfortable beds I've ever slept on. This was advertised on Google as a five star accommodation. It was worse than some two star places. It was not at all cheap. It bordered on breaching health safety standards and the false advertising is completely unacceptable. We couldn't wait to leave. Utterly disgusted. Stayed in way less expensive places in the UK that were absolutely five star experiences. This was an absolute rip-off. I really should have sought a refund. But suffice to write this instead to assist other travellers who may otherwise fall into the same trap of booking this horrible place.

レンタカーで訪れ３人で宿泊した。家族経営？か、スタッフの女性の方、男性の方、厨房の方に至るまで笑顔がステキで、とても気持ちよく滞在することができた。部屋の前に花が飾ってあったり、ちょっとしたおもてなしの心がよかった。付属のレストランで夕食と朝食を食べたが、どのお皿もとても美味しくて、今回の旅行で食べた料理の中でもすべてが上位に入る味であった。値段から考えても大変満足している。特に宿泊費に朝食が含まれていてこの価格というのは物価の高いロンドンはもちろんのこと、日本と比べても大変オトクである。みなさんにおすすめしたい宿です。

周りには何もありませんが、ラコックやカースルクームを訪れたあと、夜７時ぐらいに到着したので特に気になりませんでした。

Breakfast was excellent

Dinner wasn’t great. £32 for a steak to be delivered well done and no apology for not serving it medium as asked for. Really poor. Lack of experience for young staff in dealing with these things. The rooms are in need of a decorating. Kettle not working. Bath mat missing on day 2. Bed was very uncomfortable and small. For the price, not great value.

Sehr geräumiges und geschmackvoll eingerichtetes Apartment. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und man konnte abends bei einem leckeren Getränk gemütlich auf der Terrasse des Biergartens sitzen. Das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet, wir haben uns jeden Morgen darauf gefreut.

Es sind nur Kleinigkeiten: Küchenausstattung ist etwas dürftig, jedoch nur für diejenigen, die abends etwas selbst kochen möchten. Einige Einrichtungsgegenstände bedürfen evtl. einer kleinen Wartung.

Great nights sleep, food was excellent and well presented. Good breakfast and really friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely recommend to friends and family. Nice outside garden area. Great place to break up the journey on the way to Cornwall.

Struttura molto accogliente, disponibilità di aree comuni anche all'aperto in cui trascorrere un po' di tempo in tranquillità. Ottima colazione, anche senza glutine, posizione comoda per raggiungere Castle Combe, magari di sera quando è più tranquillo.

Lovely room with a great shower and a nice little garden for sitting out in. The food was great: my goodness how good were those eggs benedict! The evening meal was not cheap but so worth the money.

A shaver plug in bathroom would have been good, also a fridge in the room would be an excellent addition to the room.

The food was fantastic and the staff very friendly and incredibly hard working. The breakfast, which was included in our room rate, was excellent, and we also booked in for dinner on our first night, which was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Our rooms were really nice and luckily very cool as we were staying over two nights in yet another heat wave! The only downside from our perspective was the bed, which desperately needed a new mattress but as it was so hot, we slept on the duvet which made the bed more comfortable. We did pass this on to the team at the Old House at Home and they were hugely apologetic. Overall, we loved our stay and felt that this is a real treasure in a lovely part of the Cotswolds.

The room was spacious and clean. Coffee, tea and hot chocolate were provided. We enjoyed a delicious dinner at the restaurant and our room rate included a choice of breakfast the next morning. We were able to choose any breakfast on the menu! Very helpful staff member who checked us in and also served us breakfast.

The staff were really great, the breakfast was really nice & the accommodation was lovely.

If I was being really picky, I think the bathroom could really benefit from some shelving or a cabinet for toiletries.

On arrival, staff were friendly and helpful, showed us to our room which was nice. Comfortably room, tea/coffee facilities were there along with bottled water 💧, glasses and mugs for our stay, which was one night. Lovely beer garden. Breakfast was superb.

There were no breakfast cereals, orange juice to help yourself. I suppose you could have asked for it when the staff was asking us what we would like for breakfast. Full English breakfast was really good.

El baño, si bien muy bonito y moderno, tenía humedad y no funcionaba el sistema de ventilación. El desayuno era con productos de calidad y bien cocinado pero no tenía fruta ni jugos. No cenamos en el restaurante porque nos pareció un poco caro. Los espacios exteriores estaban un poco descuidados.

All ‘bar’ meals exorbitant in price, well over the norm. Supposedly 5 star, but where did that rating come from, maybe well over ten years ago??

The food was outstanding. The room was uncomfortable due to no AC in the hottest weather and no fan provided until the second day.

The room was very clean with a lovely walk in shower. staff very accommodating and welcoming and even provided a fan on request. Food was excellent. Location great for driving to various towns like castle comb and Tetbury. There is a farm shop across the road. We had a lovely 2 night stay with our Toy poodle.

It was very hot when we stayed so air con would have been a bonus and especially a fridge in the room would have been great. Pub closes at 10.30pm and no where else in walking distance to get a drink after that time. They had a tv but closed usual time and England were playing at 10pm during the World Cup so we couldn't watch it in the bar. We did have a lovely big tv in the room to watch it though, not quite the same. Otherwise no faults with anything.

Lovely warm, comfortable spacious room in Cotswold sandstone at south-western end of the Cotswolds. Ideally located for us as we were coming from Brecon Beacons National Park and visiting Castle Combe on the way. Spacious shower and bathroom with built-in alcoves for toiletries in the stone wall. Wi-Fi included with the room. Pleasant staff and beautiful breakfast. Overall great value for money.

De medewerkers zijn zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Het ontbijt was goed en de kamer was mooi. Wat erg jammer was, was dat de afzuiging in de badkamer het niet deed. Hierdoor bleef alles nat (ondanks de hitte buiten) en dat kwam ook de hygiëne niet ten goede. Een ventilatortje op de kamer zou mooi zijn, want er was een hittegolf toen wij er waren.

De afzuiging in de badkamer werkte niet. Twee stoelen op de kamer zou fijn zijn.

We had to wait 1 hour and 40 minutes for our meal in the evening and they didn’t seem busy. They did offer us a complimentary drink.

La struttura è molto accogliente, una base perfetta per visitare le Cotswolds. Abbiamo cenato al ristorante - ottimo - e gustato due colazioni da leccarsi i baffi. Lo staff è giovane e cordiale.

Si potrebbero migliorare la cura dei soffitti (un po' di ragnatele). Materasso poco comodo.

The staff were so kind and helpful. It’s in a very good location and the room was clean. We had dinner at the pub which was 10/10.

Dinner and breakfast were exceptional. Nice rooms separate from the pub and restaurant so nice and quiet.

The room was a good size (Room 7). The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The actual pub is lovely and the food is exceptional. Faultless food in the evening and at breakfast. It was a very enjoyable stay.

Lots of steps up to the rooms. Not an issue for us but it could be a deal-breaker for some guests. The duvet needs replacing (Room 7). Not much filling in it.

The pub was perfectly located for what I needed with all of the staff being friendly and welcoming. The rooms were lovely and separate from the pub by a small flight of steps out past the beer.
