A lovely farmhouse near Killashandra. It was well equipped and we felt very welcome. The owner greeted us warmly and helped us with everything we needed. We were four people, the farmhouse was the perfect size for us.

Myself and a friend stayed here for the Killeshandra Camino. It is a comfortable little cottage, very clean and has a fully equipped kitchen. The host met us on arrival and was very welcoming. A short drive from the village. Would stay here again, would be perfect for a family as large garden out front for children.

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. The host thoughtfully left all the essentials for us, including milk, bread, water, tea, and eggs and many more..., which was such a lovely touch. We also found some toys for the kids, which my child really enjoyed. The cottage was cozy, comfortable,warm and welcoming. We would happily stay again! Many thanks to the owner😘

Lovely house in a very peaceful location. Host met us on arrival and explained everything we needed to know. Very thoughtful touches of fresh eggs, milk, butter, bread as well and store cupboard ingredients and bathroom supplies provided which was super.

Spacious. Clean. Nicely decorated. Some toys for the little one. Kitchen equipped well and most things you'd need are available. Even provided with tea, milk, sugar, eggs and some other basic pantry items which was very helpful. Beds and bedding all lovely and comfortable. Great wifi coverage. Big TV with access to usual TV channels. Sofa also really comfortable. Big garden and a beautiful view. Heated well and gets warm quickly for a nice cosy evening.

Lack of small side plates for use (sandwiches, toast, cake etc). No plastic ware for use with little ones (made us nervous that he would break something! Water pressure in shower and on taps isnt Great and hot water was particularly frustrating (guess there isnt much they can do about that). Couldn't drink the tap water as was so cloudy so had to buy bottled water.

Kitchen and toilet are right beside each other. Beds are not very comfortable. Insects inside one of the bedrooms.

Host had basic food items available for us to have first thing in the morning, it was very kind of them. Thank you so much...Kitchen is well equipped with food and cooking utensils...

There were no instructions of where to find the keys and had to wake up the host at 3am

On booking . Com confirmation email a eircode to locate the house would help. Sometimes knowing the location can give potential clients an idea if the house will suit their holiday/visit plans (showing a map on the site with a vague location pin on a map can discourage potential customers from booking in the first place )

The property was exceptional exactly as pictured on line. Eileen had left everything you could of needed, fresh eggs, bread, butter, milk, tea and coffee and a cupboard full of supplies, there was everything in the bathroom even down to new toothbrushes if you needed them.

Not Eileen’s fault but I think we would take a torch due to lack of lighting in the lane

Mi è piaciuta molto la disponibilità della proprietaria. La casa era molto bella e pulita, spaziosa ed ottima per le famiglie.

La strada per arrivarci non è delle migliori e ci sono abbastanza buche, ma poi vieni ripagato con una bellissima giornata in una casa accogliente.

Well laid out in the cottage, bright and airy and my boys enjoyed having a room to themselves for 2 nights, the area was very good with bars and restaurants and shops

That we couldn't find the hot switch to wash the dishes so had to use the kettle

Everything is ok.

House was spotless and very spacious, actually has three bedrooms not one and each room has a double bed. Kids had a room each and were delighted 🥰 we are coming back in a few months and are looking forward to staying here again.

The spotlight outside 😭 we came back from visiting family late and was dark and as we drove in the light came on and was so bright we were all blinded in the car and my partner hit the low wall beside the house. Wall is fine, bumper is not 😭 but really its not a huge issue. We loved everything about the house 🥰

The only downside, the Internet wasn't working, but not the hosts fault, they were waiting on the response from the provider.

The cottage was very clean and comfortable. A dining table outside and inside was lovely. Eileen was extremely responsive and nice. Its beautiful and quiet and easy walk to the Killashandra loop trail.

We wanted a night away for some peace & quiet & Brigid’s farm house was the best choice for us.A short drive from Cavan town & we arrived to a warm welcome from the host,the house is well kept,very clean & has all amenities one may need. Will definitely go back again one of the days.

Always love staying at Eileen’s place, it’s perfect! Everything has been thought of from toothpaste and toothbrushes to milk, eggs and cereal for breakfast. I always look forward to coming here to stay for work when I’m up in Cavan. Can’t fault Eileen’s place and she is a pleasure to deal with!

the location. house was very well kept and maintained very clean and comfortable. amazing garden where we enjoy the sun and views. loved the small extra tv room at end of house. we had relaxing stay away from all noise. was so quiet you could only heard the birds. Eileen was great host meet up at check-in but we felt very private after. very little touches in house like having eggs bread coffee and more extras. and great value for money too.

That was amazing. I wanted a 3 day getaway for peace and quiet, and a little time to get some work done. It exceeded what I expected. On arrival, Eileen had everything set out. She was there with the keys, and had food available for me. Everything was perfect about the house. Wifi was strong. Beds were cosy. Bathroom was perfect. If one is looking for privacy, it is perfect. The house is a distance away from other properties; therefore I had complete privacy. There was complete silence in the morning and night times. I mean complete silence. It was perfect. It was lovely to hook the laptop up to the TV in the evenings, and kick back on the cosy couch to catch up on netflix. The property is about 20 minute drive to Cavan town, where I went to the leisure centre - swimming pool, gym etc. And got shopping in the town. I will definitely be going back there later in the year.

Couldn't say a bad word about the place or the host. Eileen is fab.

Eileen was great even supplied a tavel cot for your little girl. We stayed in March and on arrival the house was warm and very clean and tidy. The heating was on throughout our stay. The beds were comfortable. In a quite rural area which we liked.

Brigid’s farmhouse was a lovely and cozy stay. It’s not cluttered, but it has everything needed for a comfortable visit. The house was well-heated, the bed was very comfortable, and the overall space was generous. It has everything one needs for a weekend away, it’s very quiet and it’s a great place to relax. A small tip—make sure to let the owner know your arrival time in advance, as mentioned in the house rules, to ensure everything is ready. Brigid herself is a lovely woman and very welcoming. Would definitely recommend for a peaceful getaway!

Peaceful and quite place.

An absolute gem hidden away beside killashandra. Easy to get to and ample parking. All 3 double bedrooms had loads of space and were super comfy. The interior is really modern and it even boasts a range.brilliant price for what we got and we would definitely stay there again. The host is really nice and helped us out if needed.

There's nothing to not like about this place

We booked the place after Storm Eowyn, which had knocked out the internet in much of the country, so we didn't even know if our host had received word that we had booked the place. When we arrived though, the host was there and very helpful. The place was very nice with enough room to pretty much feel at home, and once again it was sad we were only staying two nights.

The area of the house that seemed to be older did have a bit of a smell of age, so perhaps the bedroom in that section aren't recommended for those more susceptible to allergies, but the main part of the house with the other two bedrooms was fine.

Great peaceful location close to bars and restaurants

Brigid's farm house is comfortable and clean, with some very cute touches around. There is plenty of space for a group to stay, and the area is very quiet and peaceful. The central heating is good, and the kitchen has everything to be able to make your own meals.

We were a bit disappointed to find out on arrival that there isn't actually a working fireplace, only a ornamental one in the loungeroom, and an oil heater that is not allowed to be used due to a previous guest having an issue with a candle.

The cottage was beautiful.There were 3 bedrooms which was perfect for my family.It was very clean and bright.The scenery was really beautiful and calming.The local shop was only about 8 minutes away and had everything we needed.

There is a washing machine to do laundry but there was no dryer but there was also no clothesline so thst made it difficult.Locking the main door took some getting used to as we dont have doors like that in Canada.Maybe some quick instructions for people would help.

The cottage was excellent value for money, the host was lovely, the cottage was extremely clean . The local taxi service was great , thumbs up to Kieran, lovely local hotel for meal excellent.👌

Exceptional Host who thought of everything, extremely helpful and accomating. House was immaculately clean and cozy. Very comfortable and had everything we needed. Nice quiet location. Would highly recommend to others and would definitely re visit again. Very good value too.
