The host was incredibly kind and met us at our taxi to show us to the riad. The riad itself was so comfortable, with plenty of room, great air conditioning, and a beautiful view of historic Fes.

Nada, ya que después de haberlo reservado con 3 semanas de antelación el día que llegue a fez, que llegue muy temprano hice tiempo para ir al alojamiento, y a media mañana el arrendatario me mandó un mensaje diciendo que cancelará la habitación ya que no me la podía dar por problemas y no me dio ninguna solución, con todo y eso le dije que me pasaría que estaba cerca, y cuando llegué no había nadie para atenderme, vamos me tuve que buscar la vida para buscar donde poder alojarme una vez en Fez

No dispone de desayuno pese a decir que bajo petición había.Pues no le dijimos al chico que se hacía cargo y nos envió a una cafetería a 12 minutos andando,me pareció fatal Le pedimos unas pilas que nunca llegaron.En 10 minutos era su frase favorita.

Seems like a scam. They called me on WhatsApp and when I didn't answer they sent a message saying all of the apartments were booked and I should request to cancel. This seems to be a popular occurrence in Fes.

They shouldn't advertise an apartment that isn't available.

L'appartement est très grand et bien aménagé parfait pour une grande famille la terrasse est magnifique et l'hôte est très gentil et arrangeant, je recommande vivement ce logement

A beautiful traditional Moroccan house, with a stunning view over the old city. Everything is within walking distance and the host Yasin is a very friendly and helpful person. Karama is a special word in Moroccan and means more than just hospitality; Dar Karama certainly lives up to its name.

Emplacement calme dans la médina. Grand appartement confortable et propre avec 3 chambres et 2 SDB. Superbe vue sur la médina et terrasse fantastique. Cuisine agréable.

Le réfrigérateur qui fait du bruit. Les matelas durs, personnellement ça ne m'a pas gêné mais nos amis oui.

Sehr freundlicher Empfang. Toller Ausblick auf die Stadt von der Dachterrasse. Nur wenige Minuten fußläufig von der Medina entfernt. Alles sehr sauber.

Der öffentliche Parkplatz ist 900 m bergauf von der Unterkunft entfernt. Ob das in der Nähe der Unterkunft ist, muss jeder selbst entscheiden.

The location was good, the apartment is also big and the view was amazing.

Die Empfehlung des Stadtführers Khalid war ein "Reinfall": er eilte vorweg durch die Medina, ließ Sehenswürdigkeiten aus, redete nur auf Nachfrage, führte uns in Verkaufsläden und nahm überhöhte Taxipreise.

Het was voor mij leuk voor een kort verblijf.

Die Terasse war wunderschön und das Frühstück sehr lecker. Wir wurden toll Empfangen und haben uns wohl gefühlt.

Not really an issue but if you are old or infirm the room is up 6 flights of stairs.

El apartamento estaba limpio y dentro de la medina y tenía 2 baños completos

No me gustó que al llegar al apartamento a las 9 de la noche del desierto, no nos pudimos duchar porque el propietario no tenía encendido el calentador de agua caliente y al ser un termo, hay que esperar hasta que se caliente y siendo 4 a esas horas se nos hizo la madrugada. Pero lo peor fue que cogimos un apartamento porque necesitábamos cocinar y la bombona de butano estaba vacía. Dijo que nos la traería al día siguiente a las 11 de la mañana. Me pareció tarde porque entonces tampoco podíamos hacer el desayuno, así que al final nos dio permiso para usar una pequeña cocina que tienen abajo. En los 5 días que estuvimos, no nos trajo la bombona. Nos tocó subir y bajar los cacharros y la comid cada vez... Además en la cocina que nos "prestó" no había espacio para moverse porque era muy pequeña y la tenían ocupada con un tendedero de ropa con sábanas de otros apartamentos que nunca, en los 5 días, destendieron. Esto incomodó mucho la estancia. Al principio pasamos bastante frío porque solo había una estufita para compartirla a ratos con los dos dormitorios y el aire acondicionado del salón no funcionaba, pero es cierto que cuando se lo dije, lo solucionó, arregló el aire y trajo otra estufa.

La ubicación es perfecta y el trato del personal también. El apartamento es ideal para 4 personas.

Nosotros cogimos el apartamento para 6 personas y una habitación se tuvo que montar en el salón, lo que resultó bastante incómodo. La cocina solo tiene un fuego y tardaba mucho en calentar, lo que dificultó mucho su uso.

The beds are super hard and uncomfortable If you’re going there in winter, it’s gonna be cold. There’s (ONE!) ac in the apartment but it’s not sufficient to warm up the living room and all three bedrooms!

The accommodation was nice, clean, and well-maintained. The terrace offered a very good view of the city, and the location inside the medina added to the overall experience.

Despite having two rooms, there was only one portable heater available, and the air conditioning was not working, which affected comfort.

Younes, anfitrión excelente, por problemas de salud nos hizo el favor de cambiarnos a un apartamento de la planta inferior, más grande y cómodo. Desde la terraza hay unas vistas impresionantes. El apartamento está muy limpio. Una cocina completa, 2 baños. Serviría perfectamente para una larga estancia.

It was spacious and well decorated. About 15 - 20 min walking distance to most things. The host was communicative, met us at the parking garage to walk us to the apartment.

For a family with a toddler and a grandmother, it was a bit far from most things except the gate and the palace. The bathroom facilities were a small, a bit smelly, and the kitchen had cockroaches. The showers didn’t drain well; so you’re standing in a puddle of your own soapy water when you’re showering. Beds (especially the double bed) only had a sheet. Other blankets need to be provided. We were only staying one night; so we made it work. Make sure that if you’re booking more than one apartment that you’re getting more than one. We booked two apartments for six adults and one child, and we were only provided one apartment; so a few of us had to sleep on couches.

Very spacious and comfortable apartment, access to a lovely terrace with view over the Medina. Super fast wi fi! Great base for working or visiting the town! Would definitely come back!

Karam is a lovely family run business , the suite is small yet super well arranged . We got everything we need . Mini kicthen / functional bathroom with hot water shower and a super view balcony on rooftop ! Younes is a very kind person , he does his best to help us during our stay ! Cannot ask more !

I would like to recommend Dar El Karam Fez. The apartment is located almost in the very center of the medina, making it easy to reach the most important landmarks, restaurants, and shops. The place we stayed in was neat, clean, and well-maintained. Additionally, for a fee of 6 euros per person, we could enjoy a generous breakfast every day, made from fresh and natural ingredients. It is also worth mentioning the owner, who was extremely kind and helpful. He was the one who helped us book a tour with one of the best guides we have ever had (he even wanted to take my mother-in-law – another plus!). Overall, I highly recommend it – you won’t be disappointed!

The flat is beautiful and spacious and has access to a great roof terrace with amazing view over the city and mountains in the distance. Its a great location in the medina with walking distance to everything. Very nice breakfast. Younes was simply the best host one can imagine! He was very helpful in every way, very knowledgable and can organize guided city tour, vist to hamam, and so forth. Its one of the best places we have stayed! Strongly reccomend it!

Furnished in traditional way, beautiful view and close to mosques. The property was clean and well looked after.

NOTHING AT ALL

The property refused to hand us over the keys of the apartment because they required us to be MARRIED. They mistreated us under severe racial profiling ( my friend has Berber origins) and we were thrown into the street at 21pm although we had paid 2 nights in advance. Never in my life have I been treated like this. This was not only illegal but extremely shameful & humiliating as a human to be treated like this and we felt both terrified.

Hard to get here, scammers in the town who want to "help" you to guide you to the place and then they beg for money, not working air conditioner (it was blowing hot air for 3 mins and then cold), cold apartment, no hot or warm water at all, host didn't help us with the hot water and the air conditoner

The location, it’s in the medina, but not far from the street. The view, both from the apartment and the terrace, is fantastic. Use of the kitchen is very convenient.

It was a winter trip and, in spite of what was declared in the description, there was no heating, or not sufficient to cover the apartment area.

A partment is absolute 10 of 10. Although we didnt fall in love with Fez city itself but those 2nights in Dar El Karam was absolutely the best place we stayed in during our three week trip through Morocco. Lovely stay: Clean, well cared and loved, ohhhh..and that loooovely terrace!!! We didnt miss anything! Thank you!

No bad words about apartment itself - its fantastic!!!! But I would recommend to arrive to Fez at daylight hours because Fez at dark hours is really scary. Google Maps didnt manage to take us to place, lost signal in narrow streets and on our way a bunch of insisting "helpers" in the streets made an arrival with quite an adrenaline;) Organic maps saved us, fuuuf! We didnt go out much in the city, haha, but apartment was a perfect, romantic escape from Fez itself:))

The apartment is clean and spacious. The location is a bit far. A good 15 mins walk to the blue gate.

We booked the 3 day desert tour Yassine recommended at the price he asked without even bargaining. The tour was a total disappointment. The first day we had to switch driver and car multiple times. The tour was not a tour as the driver just did his job driving us from one location to the next. The vehicle and lodging condition were not met up to Yassine's description. Many confusions on driver/car/lodging. The people at the desert camp was rude to us. Our tent had no lock. Breakfast was basic, dinner was poor. Check other options with local travel agencies and you can find way better deals.

A spacious, exceptionally clean and very beautiful apartment on the quiet residential side of medina. Easy to find if you arrive from Bab Ziat (about 5min walk and GPS works ok). Very well equipped kitchen.

Place is in the outskirts of the central medina, around 20min walk. One room has windows but the other 2 are inside and are quite hot to sleep even with 25 degrees outside

It was hard to find in the middle of the night

The host was absolutely terrible We arrived at 5 in the morning I wrote to him and told him we book a room for the previous day so we can sleep. The Description of the Rist said 24 hours front desk When we arrived he was mad and treated us like little kits who were bad. We had to pay taxes which was ok but he never gave us the change We stayed all together three nights and we never saw him I would not recommend this place because of this The neighbour Riads host seemed really nice to his guests Worst place in our month long travel through Marokko

Enormous living room with plenty of sunlight and a super comfy rug. Beds were also comfy and there's a rooftop terrace.

Unit was cold, heating unit in living room not sufficient for the room and not certainly for the bedrooms. But they had plenty of warm blankets so sleeping wasn't an issue.

The owner, Yasin, was very polite and caring, and it was very easy to enter and exit the apartment. The apartment was beautifully furnished and authentically furnished and was very clean. The location was great too. We definitely recommend it. We thank you for everything.

The place was really nice, with a great view of the old city. There was also an amazing terrace. The host Yassin is a great guy, we had a lovely conversation.

It wasn't very clear how to get to the place. If you are travelling with a lot of luggage, note that the listed parking is in fact a good 10-minute walk away form the place and you'd have to go up a hill plus stairs.

Lovely apartment near Bab Jedid in Fes (closer to the Rcif area of the medina), away from all of the hustle and bustle of the city. Beautiful views, very clean, responsive host. We particularly enjoyed the roof terrace, with an exceptional view of the city. Would certainly book again.

We stayed in a "junior suite" on the top floor, and it was a bit cramped (small rooms, ceiling just about 2m high). Other apartments look much bigger (but more expensive)

the authentic apartment had everything that we needed, the host abdulla helped us out in the middle of the night (we came one night too early) , everything was clean and comfortable, felt like home on the middle of the medina 😊

The flat was comfortable, clean and had all the facilities we needed.

The listing did not make it clear that a car cannot stop at the door of the house. We parked the car about 700 m away from the house and hired help to carry our luggage to the house.

Hands down the best stay during my trip to Morocco. Excellent location, a one-of-a-kind terrace, and a cozy apartment where everything feels taken care of appliance-wise. Fully working and stocked kitchen. The host was lovely. All in all, absolutely based.

We really liked the host, proubably the Best one in all Marocco. Yassen really tries to give you the Best from Fes! It works.

Apartment is spacious and clean. Beds comfortable. Quiet neighbourhood. What makes the apartment extra special is the host. Very quick to respond and picked me up from the taxi stand, arranged SIM card, groceries, and money. He will show you the true hospitality of Morocco.

Excellent communication from host. Helped to organise multiple airport transfers for our group and made sure each one of us made it in time. Location was in a quiet area away from the main areas but still close enough to walk there. Great value for money.

Steps and distance from parking.

The apartment was very new and beautifully maintained. Definitely felt like a great welcome to Morocco. The rooms were spacious with the master having an attached bathroom, which really helped as we had a baby with us. However, the most impressive part was the host who not only waited for us around 1030pm but made us a welcome moroccan mint tea and most importantly got dinner for us from outside the medina as everything closed by the time we arrived. The apartment was also about 2min walk to our walking tour at Funky Fes Hostel, which made it easy to explore the medina the next day. Finally the view from our windows of the medina were superb and the biggest surprise was the terrace which gave great panoramic views of the entire city of Fes and beyond.

The main disadvantage was the distance to the parking. This meant a tiring walk with luggage and a sleepy baby. The 1st day our host helped us with the luggage which made life easier. Another small problem was that the baby cot was kept in wrong room (twin instead of double) and the doors were too narrow to move it later.
