Location, cost, cleanliness and overall feeling were excellent. The large garden was an unexpected bonus. I would Highly recommend,

Stayed in the cottage on ground floor, very noisy floorboards above.

Although the room was small, it was very clean, bed was very comfortable. The staff were very welcoming and friendly on arrival and the breakfast was excellent. Free parking which was good

Bathroom was very small but probably that was because I was in a room with a sloping roof which made it an awkward shape

The bed was very comfortable and we slept well both nights. The room and its surroundings is also quiet. The water ran hot and the shower pressure was very good.

The room needs investment maintenance and repairs: while the bathroom did seem clean it just didn’t look/ feel it. The shower screen needs extending to stop water running onto the floor. The floor feels a bit spongy under the lino.

For what one night costs I’m absolutely shocked - we weren’t expecting it to be amazing but it was still such a disappointment. Rooms were bare, basic and dated, cobwebs everywhere including in the bathroom so had some lovely eight legged guests, grouting was old and mouldy, we waited to go home to have a shower because it didn’t feel like a pleasant experience, so so noisy you can hear every footstep of the people above you, I think saying breakfast is included is a bit of a loose term - some cereal and a handful of pastries we not what we thought we’d be getting, might be worth making that clearer on the booking. For another £10 you could stay in a beautiful room a ten minute drive away that has a full breakfast included - should have stayed there again, won’t be booking this again

The remote for the TV, there's wasn't one, it had disappeared few weeks ago so we had no TV, then we found the bulb in bedside light bulb has gone. The bathroom need a clean on the walls as there was hand makes down the wall.

It has a lot of character while also being clean, convenient and visitor-friendly! The meals were fantastic and the prices very good for the excellent quality. The staff was grand.

The room was hot, with only one small window that did not open all the way. Facilities very basic for the price we paid.

Very disappointed with the Continental but full English was ok. Have had much better in other hotels .

En suite needs total refurbishment- grouting was black but admittedly the toilet etc were clean.

Lovely pub, staff excellent, food lovely

The check in process was easy, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the breakfast had a good selection and food was nice. Car parking is simple, it is monitored by cameras 24/7 and there are various places in the pub to register your vehicle.

The room we stayed in had a few odd quirks, such as a low sink and the bed lamps were controlled by the main room light, so you couldn't turn off the main light and leave the bedside lamps on to read, it was all or nothing. The shower was also not very powerful.

Breakfast was very good, the room was spacious and there was free parking. It is near our friend’s house so very easy to walk there.

Such a lovely place to stay. I have been here once before in wintertime and this time I enjoyed the chance to eat in the garden. Lovely sunshine. Staff are lovely. Nothing too much trouble. A big thank you to all the team.

Building and room were shabby and the potentially delightful garden unkempt and scruffy. Showeroom was awkward to use as located in the eaves, shower tiny and general condition tired and scruffy.

It was convenient for a party we were going to.

Pleasent staff

We were given a very warm welcome and the staff paid great attention to my wife's dietary needs for both our evening meal and breakfast. For a hotel chain I was most surprised by the attentiveness of the staff. The room was located in a cottage which had been converted into bedrooms. The room was comfortable and clean and in good repair as was the ensuite. Excellent shower. The car park had plenty of room and there are country walks nearby.

There was nothing we did not like about our stay.

Nothing to criticise only reason rooms were uncomfortable was because of the heat over the bank holiday weekend.

The location was perfect for the visit and the staff were very good. Breakfast was super and there as a good choice of drinks, didn't use the evening menu.

The bedroom we had was dreadful and very tired, we had a room in the cottage. The hallway smelt of damp, reminded me of going fishing and that smell of maggots you had in the maggot box when being opened. the room it's self needed new furniture, painting and new flooring. The bathroom also needed ripping out and starting anew. Linen was fresh and clean.

The staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming and very helpful. The White Hart has a relaxed, charming atmosphere. Our room was quiet and warm. The shower was good and easy to use.

The bathroom was clearly damp- needed a better fan. The shower tray, basin and toilet all had limescale and were grimy. The basin taps didn't match. The room needed redecorating instead of patching up. There was no heating in the bedroom or bathroom despite cold weather. Several of the double glazing panes were blown.

I was disappointed with the accommodation. I stayed here 3 years ago and was very pleased with the room we had. We were in a different room this time in a separate cottage, and it was quite dilapidated, especially the bathroom. I can see similar reviews from 2 years ago showing the condition has not been addressed. Very disappointed after a lovely stay last time.

Bathroom poor, difficult to get in and out, shower too small form a 6ft 2 person. Plugs difficult to find/use. Sink and shower drains blocked. General quality of room - needs smarten up.

The room needs an upgrade. Peeling paint had been painted over in the bathroom. Only one bedside table and only one rubbish functional bedside lamp. Wonky utilitarian metal hooks in bedroom. Cheap wardrobe….

Room 3 Breezy - was a windy night and the draft blew through from down stairs entrance up and the door rattled. Wasn’t a big deal did t stop us from sleeping but might some. Bathroom was tatty. The location was great for the purpose of our stay. Staff were amenable and the room, though fairly basic, had everything that we needed. Breakfast in the price was a bonus. Food coming out at lunchtime looked good too. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

We stayed here after a funeral we attended. It was good accommodation which was set back behind the pub in the garden area. Easy access to the pub by walking through the garden. Car park within walking distance to the accommodation. Room was clean, it smelt clean, the bed was very comfortable with 100 percent cotton sheets and a big TV. With free tea and coffee. The bathroom was a little tired but perfectly ok and was very clean. I would recommend this place as the price we paid included breakfast and it was a very good breakfast with lots of choice. The staff were very chatty and good,

Decor in need of an update

Nothing was to like. The room was extremely basic, unequipt and run down. It was essentially like a prison cell only not as clean.

Everything about it. It was uncomfortable, cramped and generally unpleasant. I didn't stay for the second night.

Nothing, sorry. Complete mess up with pub. Booked a superior double. Put in a small double ( which was so bad) should have not been used! When questioned Told we booked late! I do not think booking with booking.com in April was short notice! Mould in bathroom/ not very clean. Small room/ dark/ only 1 bedside light.toilet about to collapse! Spoke to Tim who gave us small amount of money back, would prefer a full refund please ( which they gave to my sister in law. Breakfast was help yourself with cold tea & coffee, out of date cereals.

This was a delightful place to stay, clean and comfortable. We were in one of the upstairs rooms, which we would not recommend if you're tall! There were some quirky features, such as the hidden light switch for the bathroom, but it was quiet and the pub itself was nice. Breakfast was excellent!

Have stayed here over the last 3-years. The staff are lovely & friendly but the rooms need a desperate upgrade now.
