Reviewed Sep 18, 2026The hotel is very beautiful, the rooms are very nicely designed, nice, large and confortable.
The garden around the hotel, the patios,the trees, plants and flowers, the swimming pool ... everything is beautiful and very nicely kept.
The staff at the hotel are all nice and helpful. The food is excellent! We have been coming to India many times and this is the best hotel we ever had.
One might think what to do in such a small town but the expecience to see it was for us a good one.
It has the perfect size to see a complete community very much alive, with artisants, sheperds, temples, cows, happy kids, beautiful and nice people. You have a sence of the real indian life.
The landscape is so beautiful... if you are fit and ready to get up the Elephan mountain you will enjoy the beauty of 360 degree landscape view. We thank everybody to the gift our stay in Rawla Narlai.
Impossible to find anything wrong.

We got upgraded into junior suite and this was great. Bed is so comfortable, bathroom has both - big shower cubicle and bath, private porch in front of the room has best views to Elephant hill and the pool.
People who work in the hotel are caring and helpful.
We liked that hotel offered many activities. We went to leopard safari and village walk. Both are highly suggested.

Reviewed Jun 29, 2026Stayed at Rawla Narlai and it was a wonderful experience.
The heritage property really takes you back in time, but without compromising on comfort. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and very well maintained with modern amenities. I loved the decor, the distressed wood furniture paired with bright fabrics works so well and gives the rooms a lot of character.
The staff at the restaurant are warm and genuinely put in their best effort to take care of you. Food was delicious and served with a smile.
Special mention to the manager for being extremely helpful and attentive throughout our stay. The spa here is also excellent, do not miss it.
A perfect blend of old-world charm and modern comfort. Highly recommended if you are visiting Narlai.

Reviewed Apr 28, 2026This place is such a find. I just wish I had stayed at least 2 nights... maybe 3 to enjoy the ambience. It is super relaxing, great pool and the gardens at night are incredible. The sunset leopard safari and sunrise elephant hill walk in were so memorable. This place is a must to visit.... in between the bustle of Jodphur and Udaipur. And the staff were outstanding.

Reviewed Jan 19, 2026A quiet town, dominated by large rock outcrops. The hotel has a good pool with a reasonable depth, beautifully maintained gardens, comfortable beds, good food and well run Leopard safaris to nearby locations.
I ate dinner outside because the diningroom was too cold, and the same could be said about the bar where I had a mocktail. I noticed other European tourists also making this choice.

Je recommande particulièrement la sortie proposée dans le village: l'occasion de rencontrer les locaux chez eux, dans leurs activités quotidiennes. A noter le temple qui est d'une exceptionnelle richesse pour un si modeste village.

Helpful well trained staff, but mostly it felt relaxed & homely in a way few hotels achieve. We were so happy sitting in one of the many spaces in shade enjoying the quiet & views. The Stepwell dinner is unmissable.

Reviewed Sep 3, 2025The hotel is very beautiful, authentic and comfortable, the bed quality is great, there is a turtle that you can cross path with, the staff is professional, there is also a spa with interesting massage options. I did a safari with them one morning and I enjoyed it .
And my experience was truly special largely thanks to the incredible warmth and kindness of the manager. She went above and beyond in making me feel welcome, always present with a smile and genuine care. And also helping me with different issues. You can tell she truly loves what she does, she is very energetic and the energy she put to help the guest made a big difference for me

The overall experience, nice morning treks to nearby hill, the decor and upkeep of the property.
Our suite for which we paid a premium amount although spacious had no openable windows and hence was dark and gloomy.

Reviewed Mar 8, 2025The property is beautifully maintained, an oasis of calm amidst the countryside. Our room was beautiful, the pool was superb, and the excursions were unique. The staff in particular were so friendly and polite! Especially the manager, Rinkesh.
The food was also of a much higher quality than we have found anywhere else in India.
I would strongly recommend this place to anyone who is anywhere near Udaipur or Jodhpur - it’s worth the trip. Make sure you experience the candlelit stepwell dinner, and the snacks by the lake as the sun sets. Both were unforgettable.
Honestly, there was nothing we didn’t like. It was the best hotel we have ever stayed in.

Bar menu for pool area was great, evening food very tasty and breakfast extensive. We did sunrise trip to top of hill (recommended). Best place we stayed in during our 3 weeks in India.
Nothing but we were put off various extras by the cost. For example we did leopard safari for less than half the price at another place.

Reviewed Jan 18, 2025Beautifully appointed rooms with luxury beds and linen. Each room has an outside sitting area which is mostly private.
The staff were almost too kind!
The menu was a welcome relief for us as we had overdosed on Indian fare and our stomachs needed a touch of international food in order to recover.
The safaris were meticulously organised with experienced guides who were experts in all wildlife as well as Leopards.
It felt very military in its precision planning although to be fair I think it probably needed to be.
We didn’t attend the step well dinner but hear that it is amazing.
Being gluten free it was a day or two before I realised they had gluten free pizza bases , cake and bread for snack lunches.

From the leopard’s safari to the candlelit dinner and the walk to the temple through the village everything was perfect. Thanks again to the amazing team for the great and unforgettable memories. Dinner at the stepwell must not be missed. We thought it seemed a bit pricey for India but it was totally worth it. The setting is like nothing we’ve ever seen!
Headed off early on the Leopard Safari with low expectations but we’re lucky enough to see three beautiful leapords. What luck!
Reluctantly left after a beautiful breakfast.
Highly recommended. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Reviewed Feb 23, 2024This Haveli is a real gem in Narlai, the Leopard Country. We had a great experience from the warm welcome to the check out. They upgraded us to a superior room with a beautiful view in the renovated wing of the haveli. The furniture is a shabby chic version of a French style that blends very well with the Haveli. The garden is manicured and the swimming pool is absolutely great. The staff provides a massage while you are waiting for your dinner or just after it making you relaxing before going to bed and sleep like a King! We had our dinner on the terrace overlooking an amazing granite hill rock. The food was not the highlight of the evening but the level of attention from the waiter was absolutely great. The same waiter was managing the bar with great experience. Rawla Narlai deserves more than 1 night as we missed the safari that we believe is a must!

Reviewed Jan 31, 2024The property is wonderfull, an Oasis of peace, also the staff is very kind and forthcoming. We were very satisfied with the room and the Safari that we took. Stepwell dinner very suggestive atmosphere with a great traditional musician.
F&B needs some work. The food is good but in a luxury Resort good is not enough.
I expect for the rate that we paid a well structured signature cuisine. Like I said food was good but a bit underwhelming.

We stayed in the newer part of the palace in a suite and were very pleased with our room. It had a balcony overlooking the gardens and swimming pool. The massage I had was excellent. There are plenty of activities to choose from including the village walk and leopard safari. We enjoyed both of those too.
