Forest Bay Inn El Nido

Very nice host and staff, they were very helpful with everything, e.g island hopping tours, transfer etc. Guesthouse is close to the harbour and city center. Nice breakfast

To get to the hotel, we had to walk about 100 meters a very narrow walkway right through the middle of a slum. It was terrifying. You cannot swim near the guesthouse, you need to take a tuk tuk to reach the closest beach

We did not like walking through the smelly sewers and lanes to get to the property. The cramped for two and the air conditioner was so noisy it was hard to get to sleep. We did not enjoy the property and felt the booking.com score was overstated in the positive. It was okay but not great

La entrada al hotel era un callejón , tampoco tenía luces considerando que a las 18 HRS ya está oscuro , la pieza era muy pequeña y el piso del baño tenía hongos .

The staff was very kind and helpful. The breakfast place where our vouchers were issued was very good.

The access through the dark alleyway with maybe backwater run off was not expected. And because it's in a neighborhood, there are constant roosters and dogs.( The manager warned me of this, but I read didn't have time to look for other accomodations) The pillows are very big, not comfortable.

Excellent value for the price. The staff were kind and polite and the building was SO clean. The view from the rooftop balcony is fantastic. The A/C was strong. They don’t mind visitors hanging clothes from the balcony, so perfect for the budget traveller doing laundry in the room sink.

The location was good. It wasn't quite in the center, but everything was in walking distance (f.e. nice restaurants at Townsquare).

The path to the Hotel is very dark and quite dirty. Apart from that, the AC in our room was so loud that we didn't sleep well.

As i said in my customer service feedback, all the pleasant and amazing things said about the host are true. She is a great lady, very helpful and professional. Right from our WhatsApp exchange since I booked the place to my arrival, she responded very promptly to my messages and queries. The place itself is a 2 to 3 minutes walk to the square, main street and El nido beach. Highly recommended!

Posizione solo perché il centro è raggiungile a piedi. Ma zona orribile, per raggiungere la struttura bisogna accedere da una stradina piena di rifiuti e di escrementi di cani. Brutta davvero.

Pulizia bagni sporchi con insetti. Acqua gelata e senza pressione. Gabinetto sporco di escrementi. Abbiamo segnalato il problema dell’acqua il boiler era gia rotto e l’unica soluzione che ci hanno proposto è stata di fare la doccia al secondo piano in un bagno pubblico anche esso sporco. Mi spiace ma ci avete rovinato il soggiorno a el nido.

I had a fantastic stay at Forest Bay Inn. The place was very clean, comfortable, and in an excellent location. What really stood out was the host, who was incredibly helpful, responsive, and communicative, and also assisted with extra arrangements, which made my trip much smoother.

Está muy bien ubicado ya que todas las playas a visitar del Nido están cerca del hotel. Aunque no está situado en la calle principal (y se agradece) no tuvimos ningún problema a ninguna hora del día para llegar al hotel. Es una zona muy tranquila y segura. Lo mejor sin duda es la atención de Charina. Nos ayudó en absolutamente todo lo que necesitamos e hizo que nuestra estancia fuera aun mejor. Es un encanto tratar con ella. Además las vistas de la terraza son muy bonitas.

Great location in the center of El Nido. Good breakfast selection available at a nearby restaurant. The owner is very nice; if you need to arrange a trip or transportation, she will help you with everything. The accommodation is very clean, with air conditioning and hot water. The terrace has a beautiful view of the bay. I highly recommend the accommodation.

La habitación estaba limpia. El aire acondicionado y agua caliente fue sin problema. La atención de la señora fue excepcional. El desayuno está inlcuido en un bar de El Nido que está bien.

Por las noches había mucho ruido debido a los animales de fuera (gallinas, perros). Hubo noches que costó dormir.

Great hotel with an amazing view. Down an alleyway off the main road but totally safe. Staff suoer friendly and helpful. In a residential area so you do get the dogs and roosters, but all adds to the charm. Awesome value and the upper terrace for coffee and tea was great. Super value.

Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und das Personal außergewöhnlich freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Lage ist insgesamt gut: Obwohl sich das Hotel in einer kleinen Seitengasse befindet, die auf europäische Gäste zunächst etwas zwielichtig wirken kann, erreicht man die Innenstadt mit den Touren­startpunkten sowie zahlreiche Restaurants sehr schnell zu Fuß.

Ein klarer Nachteil war die Größe des Zimmers, das recht klein ausgefallen ist. Zudem war es nachts und am frühen Morgen recht laut: Hunde bellten bis spät in die Nacht und bereits gegen 5:30 Uhr weckte ein krähender Hahn. Insgesamt ein ordentliches Hotel mit guter Lage und tollem Service, bei dem man jedoch Abstriche bei Ruhe und Zimmergröße machen muss.

The staff were incredible! The host was very helpful and so sweet, and helped me a lot when i had a situation early in the morning during checkout. They were even accommodating when I came early! The room was amazing with breathtaking views and the inn was conveniently located with access to everything you need. They will also help with airport pickup if you communicate early. Will definitely stay here again!

The property itself was incredible and I have no complaints. Forest Bay Inn was AMAZING and I highly recommend. But keep in mind that although there’s free breakfast in their sister restaurant, there’s a “limit” and certain items you can pick, and I did not know this until the restaurant staff made me pay which was confusing and frustrating. This discouraged me to go back and I had my breakfast elsewhere. If you do go for the breakfast, communicate what is actually free before ordering.

C’est un bel endroit pour passer quelques nuits, l’environnement un peu bruyant mais c’est largement correct. Charina est incroyablement accueillante et très serviable.

Ubicación, no está en el centro sino a 5 minutos a pie, lo cual se agradece, las vistas desde la terraza y la tranquilidad. La atención de la dueña.

Las instalaciones son perfectas, el personal majísimo, huele muy bien y la limpieza un diez. Está muy cerca del centro pero no tienes ruido ya que se encuentra en un callejón. Para unos días en el Nido está genial.

Location, although was in main centre as it was tucked away it was very quite, the hostess made sure all was great, she also helped me to book tour and adviced me, so yes loved it and i will definitely go back..

Is not what I didn't like is an observation, as solo traveller the room was ok if my friend was with me and we had to suit case then the room woul have been very tight but that is the only observation I make...

Charina is a great host. She is a really nice person. The hotel is a clean and new building and it has a nice view from the terrace. It is in the main town right where the main street through town begins. It was a good value too.

Największym atutem jest właścicielka Christina, kobieta o niezwykłej życzliwości, natychmiastowo reagująca na wszystkie pytania przez Whapp i bardzo pomocna. Zadbała o nas, pomogła zamówić skutery i pokierowała, gdzie najlepiej rezerwować Islands hooping. Na dachu budynku jest taras z krzesłami i stołami do ogólnego użytku, baniak z wodą, czajnik, szklanki i kubki oraz pojemniki z kawą rozpuszczalną. Piekny widok na zatokę. W łazience zestaw szamponów i mydełka. Wifi w porządku. W pokoju dostępna duża latarka, bo zdarzają się wyłączenia prądu w El Nido i dwa wiatraki akumulatorowe, gdy nie działa klimatyzacja. Blisko do głównej ulicy z bazą startową na Islands Hooping. Blisko do lotniska (5 km). Można się do niego dostać tricyclem za 200 PHP.

Dla par są dwa pokoje dwuosobowe na parterze, przy recepcji. Pokoje są małe. Podobnie jak łazienka (umywalka poza wc z prysznicem). Problemem jest woda, gdyż trzeba włączyć pompę (robi to pracownik), by było dobre ciśnienie w prysznicu czy spłuczce. Najlepiej uprzedzić właścicielkę o wcześniejszym wyjściu, bądź godzinie powrotu, by mogli zareagować. Obiekt położony jest na tyłach hotelu z koreańską restauracją, wśród domów o typowo filipińskiej konstrukcji, przy wąskiej, zastawionej skuterami ścieżce. Pierwszy raz lepiej dotrzeć tam za dnia, bo wieczorem człowiek może zwątpić, czy dobrze trafił. Śniadania są dostępne od g. 7 do 10 za okazaniem vouchera w oddalonej 15 min spacerem restauracji. Nikt nie powiadomił nas, że voucher jest o wartości 200 PHP i ewentualny wybór zestawu przekraczającego tę kwotę wiąże się z koniecznością dopłaty. Zasugerowałam właścicielce, by na voucherze znalazła się informacja o limicie, by nie było zaskoczenia. Przyznała mi rację.

Charina es encantadora, nos ayudó en todo momento y siempre con una sonrisa. La terraza del hotel tiene unas vistas impresionantes y cuenta con un calentador para hacerte café o te en cualquier momento. Está ubicado cerca de todo sin estar en el núcleo ruidoso.

La habitación era un poco pequeña y con una pequeña ventana arriba. Pero si vas a estar haciendo tours durante el día es más que suficiente.

It was a short walking distance to all the restaurants and bars yes tucked away so it was quiet and relaxing. The host was very welcoming, booking my tour for the next day, ferry for when I left, and even let me use a dry bag for my island tour. The place was clean which made it more enjoyable!

Charina was an exceptional host & if I could award her 6 stars, I would! At the beginning of my visit, El Nido was experiencing storms that directly affected the power supply of the island. Charina went over & above to ensure that such problems were responded to ASAP…& they were! Upon departure from the Inn, Charina made sure that I had transport to the Airport & also wished me well on my onward journey…..despite it being 04.30am. Would recommend Forest Bay inn to anyone staying in El Nido. Great work!

The room is just too small, especially with a double bed.Gets quickly hot inside. You can hardly move in the room and unpack your luggage, because there is no space. The shower didn't work properly, I had to take a bucket instead - and so it was a bit overpriced.

Charina is a lovely friendly woman. She runs the business efficiently. She helped us with everything. We felt very valued, because she took care of us when we got there completely exhausted after a long journey. Views from the third floor are wonderful. We would have loved to spend more days there.

Very close to the center (5m to the main part of the el nido city). The host was amazing. Speak perfectly English and was very helpful with everything. She allows us to have an early check in and we already had a bike rented waiting for us when we arrived. Very easy to communicate with them. The room also had all needed amenities and had AC and a fan.

The entrance to the stay is not on the main road so you have to walk through a small dark road. The room is a bit small and there was twice failures with the electricity (affected the whole area not just the stay). The AC does make a lot of noise, but it worked properly

Down a quiet, safe alley away from the buzz of the street but literally steps away from El Nido town square, El Nido beach and loading areas for the tour boats. Staff is beyond welcoming, lovely and helpful. Free coffee, water and tea on rooftop terrace with nice view of the bay.

The room itself is incredibly small. There is no way this room could fit a couple with luggage. The AC is quite loud as well as it struggles to keep up during the hottest part of the day.

Firstly, Charina was a super host. She was so friendly, organised and always available. She booked all of our tours that were great. The room was perfect for our stay. It was clean and comfortable. The air conditioning worked well. The location is a 5 minute walk from the main street, which makes for a quiet environment. The reviews that mention not liking the lane to the accommodation are a little precious. There is nothing wrong with it perfectly safe.

Perfect accommodation. Room was comfortable, amazing views from the roof top terrace where there was water, tea and coffee. Charina was amazing and went above and beyond to make the stay perfect. Regarding the lane people mention, it is a standard lave in El Nido. Don’t let it put you off!

Host is excellent, helped us with arranging transport to our new destination, even called our next accommodation to help coordinate! Quick responses on whatsapp. Location is very central and great, however you do have to walk down an alley to get to the place, just a heads up!

The hotel is hidden away from the hustle while still right next to everything. About 5-10 mins walking distance to the centre. Charina was an excellent host, always willing to help and provide the best expirience for her guests. Highly reccomend staying here. Its mentioned multiple times in the comments about the alley to get there from the main road but its a completely safe road, leading to a more local area. Nothing more than that.

Charina is very welcoming, kind, and helpful when it comes to suggestions about what to do in El Nido, and can recommend where to eat, to book excursions etc. Room was tiny but comfortable enough and very clean; and with A\C. The owner is very welcoming & helpful. She even lent me a dry bag! Her recommendations for beaches & whete to eat were spot on. There was a verandah for my sole use - handy for drying laundry. Breakfast was taken at a cafe in town which helped you get out & about! Water, coffee, Ovaltine & tea were available on the top terrace. I had both aircon & a fan in my room so could choose which to use. The Inn is only 5 mins from the centre.

Access to the Inn is through a narrow, dingy, somewhat dark alleyway - not a great distance but a little off putting. My single room was 'compact' & therefore little storage space but the ensuite was adequate.

The host was at the Inn most of the time and is super friendly. She is very helpful with booking tours and scheduling transport and is a very nice lady. The facilities are very clean and the location is just a very quick walk to all the activity in town.

The Inn is located ~ 75 meters up an alley that is less than picturesque. Some of the rooms have no view (mountain or sea)
