Overall had a great stay but my partners palette is very plain he did not like any of the food in the menu s plus it was very expensive
More selection of menus
Lovely very nice
The staff were amazing we loved the facilities and the food was beautiful
Nothing
The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The outdoor spa area was nice.
The room was very run down with wallpaper hanging off at the edges. The bed was too small for my partner as he is over 6ft. The spa area was nice but the water could have been a bit warmer especially coming into the cold weather. Music in the bar below went on very late for a Sunday night. We were told would only be on to 9/10.
Everything was so lovely at the old inn. The inn is beautiful with so much attention to detail. Everything is perfect. The staff were so genuine and inviting. They made you feel like the old inn was your home away from home. The food and drinks were delicious. The complimentary breakfast was so good with hot meal options and a delicious continental spread with the best smoked salmon I’ve ever eaten. The spa was perfection. We were able to unwind during our trip through Ireland and we truly appreciated that.
It’s a very old building that is so beautifully preserved. The walls are a bit thin and you can hear your neighbors. That’s part of staying in a historical inn.
Stunning
Great location and lovely hotel and staff were very friendly
Stuart the concierge is lovely and welcoming and very helpful. Was able to check in abot earlier and offered an upgrade to the highway for a small fee which we did and it was beautiful. The spa is gorgeous and not over filled with people. Can't wait to stay again - oh the cocktails where honestly the nicest ive had in a long time and also big!!
Breakfast was very good, but on the second day there was a delay, apparently due to the order not going in on a particular machine. Evening meal -- extensive menu to choose from. Food was excellent, as was the service. Very relaxing visit and would highly recommend a stay. Enjoy outdoor pool, hot tub and facilities.

Comfortable , charming and staff were fab
A couple of things just because it is an old property - would prefer walking shower than trying to step out of a bath
We were there the night before and of a wedding and the staff were exceptional and the rooms and facilities were wonderful! Couldn’t ask for more!
The hotel and grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The staff were superb! Everyone we interacted with were very friendly and helpful, they really made the stay enjoyable. The dinner was delicious.
I feel the drinks were over priced and it would be nice to run some offers.
The spa and the cocktails were great
The price of the drinks, the food menu and the breakfast
Quiet, comfortable and very relaxing

It was absolutely beautiful & we loved it
Absolutely nothing
The room was nice spa qS ok
The food wasnt worth the money
Retained the high standards of the Old Crawfordsburn Inn
Staff were so helpful and friendly

Staff were great. Food was outstanding. Spa was relaxing .
Location, staff, food and room
Our room was above the entrance and the door opening and closing was rather noisy. Having said that it did not detract from our enjoyment.
Spa was nice and the food was nice
Bathroom was a wet room with no proper shower or bath. Not good value for money. We booked Prosecco to our room before arrival but it never came. It was our wedding night - which they knew and didn’t do anything special for this.
Very Friendly staff, lovely styled room albeit a bit hot as the weather was gorgeous. The Treetop spa was included and was exceptional. We had an evening meal in the restaurant and that was exceptional too. Breakfast was good and the staff were very helpful and attentive.
Nothing
Great location, especially for dog-walking... Forest, river, sea, beach... All within easy access. Lovely food, staff, accommodation.
Absolutely nothing.
Breakfast was excellent. Staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Dinner was superb. Really delicious and again staff were lovely and friendly
Our room was a petite one. Although small it was lovely. However I was disappointed that some of the floor tiles in the bathroom were badly cracked
This place is charming and beautiful! We all loved it. The Treetop spa exceeded our expectations. The nearby hike to the waterfall was lovely! We enjoyed how each room had it's own decor, vibe, and name! The breakfast was top quality, too.
It was more expensive than other options due to each room only accommodating 2 people. We had to get 3 rooms for 5 people.
services très moyens , chambre minuscule, petit déjeuner décevant , très mauvais rapport qualité prix
Food was outstanding
Shower was a bit temperamental.
The spa was amazing, the staff couldn't do enough for you, the food was beautiful and I've never had a nicer burner. The room was beautiful and very cosy, best two nights. Would definitely recommend.

The old inn is a really unique hotel, I’ve never stayed anywhere like it! The hotel is beautiful and really captures the history of the building. The rooms are done tastefully and the spa is top tier. We had dinner in the restaurant and we were very impressed. Very much enjoyed our stay and we look forward to coming back.
The rooms aren’t sound proofed well so we could hear other rooms open/close doors
Was nice and clean, staff were friendly, in a nice area with plenty of parking.
Only thing lets it down is the price of drinks. £8 a pint is ridiculous
Beautiful Inn. Excellent staff. Lovely Spa. Great Food and comfortable room.
Our stay wasn't long enough!!

Noisy in the morning
The Old Inn is an historic hostelry located in a small village close to the north coast of County Down. There is an easily accessible adjacent coastal walk that runs along the south side of Belfast Lough with views of the estuary and further south to the Mourne mountains. The staff at reception, looking after the bedrooms, in the dining room and in the bar are all unfailingly warm, courteous and helpful. The menus for breakfast and dinner are varied and draw on local produce and tradition - try the whiskey flavoured porridge at breakfast.
Beautiful decoration and restoration Staff plentiful and very helpful and friendly Food top quality spar amazing

Overnight stay for myself and my fiance with a visit to the spa. Overall we had a lovely trip, the hotel itself is beautiful. Car parking is free and accessed to the side of the hotel with barrier entry/exits. When you enter the hotel you are met by very friendly and welcoming receptionists. The lobby is beautiful and stays true to the history of the hotel with low ceilings, open fires and wood panelled walls. We stayed in the Buttercup room which is one of the petite rooms. It’s beautifully decorated, but certainly petite in size! Perhaps more suited as a single room but we made it work. There was a Nespresso coffee machine, ice bucket, complimentary soft drinks and a GHD hairdryer which were great touches, plus a nice welcome note from the hotel. The en-suite was spotless with plenty of towels, toiletries which smell divine and a decently powerful shower. There were robes and flip flops in the bedroom with plenty of room for those more curvy body sizes! My only negatives were when I opened the wardrobe, the handle came off in my hand! The bed was also very uncomfortable, the whole frame rocks when you sit on the bed, it’s very squeaky and you can feel the springs. Also the walls are very thin, we could hear next door snoring quite clearly when we tried to sleep! We had dinner and breakfast in the gorgeous restaurant area, huge compliments to the chef, the food is to die for. We both had the chicken and leek pie with sides, for breakfast I had porridge with whiskey and rosehip, my fiance had poached eggs, baked ham on sourdough bread. We will definitely be returning for dinner at some point! Cocktails are pricy at £15 each but delicious. The Treetop spa is a little oasis, clean, relaxing and such a treat. We went on a Monday and it was still fairly busy, I can’t imagine going on a weekend when it’s even busier as we found it tricky to get a turn in the hot tub or the heated beds - people tend to overstay, despite the time limits stated. The pool was lovely and warm, it’s super handy having QR codes around to order drinks. I loved the salt wall in the sauna and the lemongrass scent in the steam room. Overall 4 stars, some little niggles but I would stay again without hesitation - next time in a bigger room!
Staff friendly dinner was beautiful
Breakfast wasn't great ordered poached eggs on our fry our plates were wet from the water of the eggs also the soda & potato bread that came with the fry was cook & no more & was of poor quality really disappointed
Stayed for the weekend at The Old Inn and had a lovely experience. The spa was lovely and the staff were so friendly and accommodating especially Lisa. Breakfast was delicious and the room was spotless after we got upgraded. Thank you so much for a lovely weekend.
We spent a lovely night in the Avis Room. The room was beautiful and had everything we could need. We enjoyed using the spa. It is a smaller spa than the other Galgorm hotels but it is a lovely setting and we never felt that it was too busy. The staff were excellent, from reception staff to bar & restaurants we were treated very well by everyone. It felt like a very personal service and really made our visit feel special!
Katie the therapist was amazing !!!!! I recently stayed overnight at The Old Inn in Crawfordsburn for my anniversary, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. There was a small issue with my massage booking due to an overbooking which was caught a week before we arrived so was not a big deal at all, but the staff handled it incredibly well and we just changed the appointment to next day. They were genuinely apologetic and went above and beyond to make things right. They upgraded our room and added complimentary’s when we arrived , which was such thoughtful gestures and really helped us relax and enjoy our stay even more. The next day I was able to have my deep tissue massage, and I have to give a special mention to Katie — she was absolutely fantastic. Katie did an amazing job and is truly perfect for her role. The massage was incredibly relaxing and exactly what I needed. If anyone is feeling stressed or looking to treat themselves, a massage with Katie is worth every penny. If you were having a bad day she’s the type of person to completely flip it around within a few minutes of talking to her Overall, the customer service was outstanding, the atmosphere was lovely, and the staff clearly care about making sure guests have a great experience. Even when something didn’t go exactly to plan, they handled it perfectly and turned it into an even better stay for us. Thank you to the whole team at The Old Inn for helping make our anniversary so special
Great location ..lovely spa facilities ,friendly helpful staff especially a manager called Becky made us feel very welcome .
The menu in the inn urgently needs a refresh ..expensive and a bit bland ..needs more variety ,more choice ..specials etc .Only ate there once ..would have eaten there more if had been a better menu
A first class welcome for my wife and I at reception from the staff. Very friendly and informative. We were in an upstairs room that was beautiful yes but so small there was nowhere to unpack our overnight bags so we had to tiptoe around them. We both went to the pool,it was brilliant as was sauna and steam room. Drinks can be ordered from poolside and they are delivered to you .we went to the bar for a meal that evening ordered two drinks and the girl said she would be back to take our food order , after thirty minutes I went to the bar and ordered our own food. The food was excellent but the service was slow and nonexistent and drink prices are also expensive. I don't think we will go back there to be honest
Love the location in the edge of a forest beside a beach walk perfect for a couples getaway break.
Thought it was a bit busier than on previous stays as I always loved the relaxed vibe but seemed a younger noisier crowd. Maybe getting old lol
The spa experience, the cosy bar, food was lovely, the massage I received was brilliant
The bed wasn’t comfortable, no room temperature it was very warm, the fry was very limited.
My Birthday Celebration was thoroughly enjoyed at The Old Inn. The Staff really helped make the stay special. We were fortunate to get a room upgrade, the room wasn’t quite ready on our arrival, bags were tagged by Lisa at reception and forwarded on to the room, whilst we were ushered to the Spa for some relaxation. A combined 90 minutes of massage and facial left us beyond relaxed for the evening ahead. Katie was an excellent therapist, the flow and continuity of the massage was excellent with the correct amount of pressure, I would highly recommend. The food was worth the wait, every course was so tasty well present and cooked perfectly, I can recommend the Apple and cinnamon tart with cream and ice cream. Breakfast choice and presentation again would get 5 Stars, I had the Old Inn Fry, all so tasty, my wife had a very healthy porridge with a compote of fruits. We’ll be back for sure.
The Treetop Spa was really nice. Extra perk was being able to order drinks anywhere in the spa. Dinner and breakfast were amazing. The venison was amazing. The bar they had a singer on which was lovely. The Guinness was really good too.
First time at The old Inn but definitely not the last. From entering th hotel to leaving it has been exceptional. We where there for a joint birthday celebration and they couldn't have done enough. Early check in, upgraded room, personalised 40th birthday card in the room along with some chocolate. We each had a massage in the spa and can honestly say that it is the best massage I have had. Katie was fabulous. She is so knowledgeable and lovely to talk to and then had me sleeping during my massage. Felt the stress Melting away. Will 100% be back and requesting her.
This is a bit of a mixed bag so I will start with the positives. If you are looking a quaint couples stay then this is the place for you. Food was amazing, far better than the galgorm food and the staff could not have been more helpful or friendly. However I was there with someone who had limited mobility and I would not say this place was accessible. Car park was very small and busy, I couldn't see any disabled parking but maybe I missed it. Lots of up and down steps to bar and restaurant. We had an accessible room which had an excellent bathroom so that was good. Dogs are allowed in the hotel however be mindful that some dogs bark a lot so something to consider. Spa was small and actually didn't feel like it fitted with the atmosphere of the rest of the hotel but it is a new addition. I did mange to go out early in the morning and it was very peaceful. Drinks can be ordered via qr code but i tried to order a coffee and they weren't accepting orders at that time so that was disappointing. Overall it was a nice stay but not somewhere I would take a disabled person.
Had a wonderful spa day with my friends, The girls at reception were so lovely and friendly, my therapist was Katie, lovely girl very friendly, with many yrs of experience behind her, I had a back massage and facial after treatment I was so chilled and relaxed, my skin was glowing, will definitely be back to see Katie for more treatments x
Idyllic little hideaway tucked between Belfast and Banger. Met at the door by Stuart, greeted by an open fire and check in was warm, friendly and set the tone. The staff make this place, everyone so friendly and it all feels homely. Rooms spotless, really cosy and prefect for a recharge. Spa is nice feature and the ability to order drinks from Anywhere is a nice feature. The relaxation room, warmed by a log burner looking out at the forest is a great switch off. (Possible maybe have a few more books available for guests to look at) The bar is full of character and the music at night was spot on and added to a lovely atmosphere. Breakfast the next morning, finished the stay off in style, really great fresh, healthy choices and really well presented and seating spaced out. We were both very impressed and we will be back. Just to note you will need plugs for chargers for rooms as there is no usb sockets (thanks reception for sorting this out)
Beautiful building from the outside and warm a welcoming staff, from reception to bar and waiting. First but definitely not the last stay here. Dog friendly, and I think our two dogs were made to feel as welcome if not more than us. Genuinely, any staff interaction we had was top class, from Gavin in the bar to the ladies on reception ( sorry we never got your names) and the rest of the waiting staff. We'll be looking forward to staying longer next time
This is the 3rd time we have stayed in The Old Inn & as usual everything was excellent from the front desk staff to the waiters bar staff & room cleaners could not have had a more memorable experience.
Exquisite hotel with fun amenities! We loved relaxing at the spa.
Had a lovely weekend at the old inn crawfordsburn enjoyed the spa the bar was homely the food both nights was excellent as was the breakfasts staff were friendly would definitely return
Lovely breakfast and friendly staff. Very relaxing stay.
Spa pool was always busy and same people stayed in it for over the 15 minutes stated. Should be timed or staff walking around checking it as couldn't get in the afternoon we were there. to later in evening at busy periods..
I had the most wonderful spa day yesterday with my friend, and I just had to share how amazing it was! My therapist, Lucy, was absolutely fantastic, so professional, friendly, and skilled. Her massage and facial were both of an exceptionally high standard, leaving me completely relaxed and refreshed. You can tell she really cares about her clients and takes pride in her work. I would definitely recommend booking with Lucy, you won’t be disappointed! I’ll definitely be returning soon.
Went for Sunday lunch (X2 adults, X1 child) at a later serving to ensure it wasn't too busy. Had to wait to get seated even though we arrived at the time of our reservation. Main course was just a about acceptable. To note Yorkshire Pudding tasted unpleasant like a wet cloth and the kids option lacked any presentation and featured a sea of salty fries which was disappointing as added salt should always be a choice especially for kids!!! The main issue was the service....had to ask multiple times where our drinks were and then had to wait 45 MINUTES between getting the table cleared and being able to get our dessert order taken. By this point it wasn't even busy and we had piled our plates up at the side of the table to give the hint we were finished. After 45mins and multiple times of asking for a dessert menu and getting ignored we were getting ready to leave when finally someone took our dessert order. After another 20mins wait dessert arrived. Kids cookie was inedible again tasting like a damp cloth. Apple crumble also inedible so needless to say after spending over £100 on lunch we will not be back. Quality of service has definitely declined after change in management. Disappointing!!
My wife ad I have just returned from an overnight stay in the Old Inn where we enjoyed a fabulous minibreak. Having access to the spa, which is well equipped with all expected facilities, from midday was a bonus. The hotel's main asset is the staff - on check-in and check-out, the staff were so welcoming and helpful, all staff in the bar, restaurant for dinner and at breakfast were so courteous and helpful, providing a very high level of service. I had reason to contact the manager, Joanne, (something to do with me and not the hotel) and she was exceptionally professional and helpful. Sincere thanks, Joanne. We had a splendid meal in the main restaurant. We had 3 mouth watering dishes - I had the scallops with black pudding and buttermilk potato, followed by Venison with pickled blackberries and gingerbread, while my wife had the herb-crusted salmon. All dishes were extremely tasty, so hats off the the chef! Our room - The Oak Room - was perfect, warm, comfortable and spotlessly clean. I would highly recommend The Old Inn to anyone considering a visit and I know we will be definitely be returning. Thanks to all for a great stay.
Service , staff , settings amazing
This was our second time staying at the old inn Crawfordsburn , this time it was for my husband’s birthday. We stayed in the suite both times as we enjoy the facilities especially the hot tub. This time I decided to get a facial and full body massage as I was under a lot of stress. Well I got a girl called Katie who was absolutely amazing, she started off finding out about me and my medical details. Katie made me feel at ease and she was amazing at her job she had magic hands which I was grateful for and by the end of the treatment we felt like we had been friends for a long time. I came out of the spa feeling like I was on cloud nine . The food and spa facilities were outstanding . The staff go above and beyond I would definitely recommend this place , well done to everyone at the old inn and thank you for a wonderful stay. Alberta and Hugh.
We had the best time away with my boyfriend, it was his birthday and the team made everything very special for our weekend. The facilities were amazing and the food was incredible. Would 100% recommend and will return.
The spa and food were excellent.
We paid £280 for our room and to be honest it was substandard. The room was small and very stuffy, the carpets were dirty, wallpaper was coming off the walls and the paint work throughout the room was flaking off. We also contacted the manager via email and online and never got a reply. This was disappointing and has now put us off staying again.
Beautiful hotel, great thermal spa, staff friendly and helpful, breakfast exceptional
The food was amazing.
The room was smaller than i booked, the room was too warm, even with the windows open.
I attended the Old Inn today with a friend. Exciting new 1614 January menu. Delicious tender, juicy lamb. Creamy mushroom linguine. Followed by a delicious baked cheesecake. However the highlight of our experience was the wonderful customer service provided by Lynn, which made the meal all the more special. Thank you.
This is a wonderful traditional old inn with great character mixed with modern features including a great spa! Rooms are full of character and well appointed and staff are very attentive. Restaurant food is great with large portion sizes and they do a great breakfast all freshly cooked to order. Overall great value for money.
I am a regular visitor to the Old Inn. I am always made to feel welcome and leave feeling relaxed. The spa facilities are excellent and the food is delicious. I would highly recommend a stay in the Old Inn.
