Fantastic little find...lovely and quiet comfortable self contained cozy cabin ...but very near to everything.. loved my stay
All
Cosy and had everything you could need.
Wish I had seen a picture of the outside space. Too close to the neighbours to leave curtains open. Outside space scruffy. If the outside space was cared for as much as the indoors would get a 9, little issues with cleaning. Sink plug holes need attention, dried flowers dusty so need to be replaced. Otherwise gorgeous. Little comments to make this up to a 10, but great value for money.
Quiet and peace
Location
Everything, especially location.
Nothing
A perfect quiet semi-rustic country home. Just right for a good rest.
Nothing. We had everything we needed.
Very comfortable and good value for money
Rien
Isolation
Agricultural workings and tractors coming very close to cabin and cars to pick up machinery where you parked
The place is cozy, warm, and comfortable. The landlord, Pascal, is super attentive and always willing to help! I recommend it.
Host has installed new key boxes with codes, the box on this cabin got stuck so had to ring host for assistance. Only a minor delay and sorted quickly.
tea, coffee and sugar available to guests but no milk so pick up some on your way to property.
Everything about the place
Jiving with the host and dinner, that was a bonus!
I liked it all, if I was being picky I would have more counter space to prepare food, but it wasn't any issue.
Comfortable cozy and friendly staff
A little hot but plenty of ventilation
Everything I needed was right at hand.
The shower curtain was not long enough to reach the base. Consequently the floor was wet. It seemed that the floor just outside the shower had a slight give. Might be from water soakage? Maybe I’m chasing moonbeams but for health and safety reasons. Check it.
I really loved the environment and the location
Value for money. Perfect for people who would like the slower pace of a farm stay.
Perfect little spot to stay for one night on my weekend roadtrip.
Limited cooking facilities - no hob or oven.
The cabin was one of a jolly line of cabins providing a comfortable drop off point in South East Galway. There was a nice homely feel and a friendly horse nearby was lovely. Hot water and a microwave to hand and a fridge.
Poorly finished cabin. Mattress was not good and didn't have a protector on it. Tv signal was poor and overflowing outside bins. Very basic and whilst cheap, which we thought it it not good value for money. Free tea and coffee was one teabag and solid coffee.... Have stayed in much nicer places for less. Needs some more attention to bring up to standard. Good information provided at booking on location but some recommended premises were long closed.
Lovely little cabin and nice and quiet and relaxing
The only thing I didn't like was It was very hard to find. I would recommend driving to Kilcorgan village and then ring the manager to come and collect you. Alan collected me, and within minutes, I was at the cabin.. there would have been no way I would have located it myself. Thanks Alan
Owner was very friendly at check in. Friendly fox came to visit in the evenings.
No milk supplied! Tea,coffee and sugar supplied....all you need is a good cuppa when arriving after a long journey. 😕 Plugs don't all work in kitchen, very basic. T V takes awhile to get going. Wouldn't recommend this establishment to my friends.
Everything was perfect
Absolutely spot on
Nice quirky accommodation. Private and good value for money in comparison. Relatively easy to access . Would book again no problem. .
The location
The close cabins to the other ones
The location is excellent, offering good value. The staff and cleanliness are also commendable.
Everything. Excellent hosts , comfort and relaxing stay. Very good
It was very cozy and the host was so lovely ! The shower was fully equipped with different types of shampoos and conditioners and the cabin had an air fryer!
Although the location wasn’t central it was still very cozy for a romantic get away in the country side! The floors were a bit run down but other then that excellent stay

Cabin was a very good clean and facilities was awesome. Nice clam and quite area
Loved the location and the space in the cabin absolutely exceptional. The owner was so kind. Very quiet and relaxing area out of the busy city
Noting
I love everything about BOBS CABIN ..the owner himself is absolute gentleman and couldn't do enough for us
the cabin is spacious, cozy and warm. it's also very quiet and clean. the host provides towels and bedsheets. the kitchen doesn't have an oven, but there's an air fryer and other basic appliances.
We refused to stay here, it was so bad. Our recommendation is to go somewhere else. The staff at a local pub, along with a helpful b&b operator helped us to find a lovely b&b in the area.
If you want accommodation with a painted plywood floor (where you can see the nails) and corrugated iron walls for the shower/toilet, this place is for you. The cabin looks like it has been built out of leftovers from building projects and the whole site looks like a junkyard. It's in a rural area but there is no rural or garden view. There was a repository full of cigarette butts about 10m from the front door. The proprietor certainly didn't take kindly to our comments and will probably say we are terrible people. He said he would rather give us our money back than have us write an unfavourable review. Needless-to-say, we haven't got our money back. At one point, he told my wife that he didn't want to talk to her but only to me. You can imagine how that was received.
Good value. Friendly and responsive staff.
The small cabin sounded like it would come apart on the windy night.
Coffee Tea and sugar provided but no milk. Toiletries provided.
I wasn't expecting the Savoy but this one was disappointing. No privacy as the glass doors had curtains that one would see shadows through which made me feel vulnerable. Doors difficult to lock. Followed the instructions for hot water but it was lukewarm at best. Don't think it has seen a mop or vacuum in a long time. Smoke detector detached and missing. Bed had a sag in the middle. Bunny ears tv antenna, half melted remote control. Ripped couch. Surroundings were dumpy. Barely a shack, let alone a cabin. Slapped together with mostly corrugated iron. Don't let the photo's fool you- NOT worth that kind of money.
Very special place so peaceful.
The only positive about this location is that it was quiet
The place was almost impossible to find but he owner did eventually come find us and he was pleasant however the place was extremely run down, dirty and beyond basic.
Quiet location- quirky simple- I wasn't expecting the Ritz, but I do expect clean and some of it wasn't really. reasonable price for someone like me on a limited budget
A microwave rather than an airfryer- much more useful for cooking. Cleaning cloths of some description to keep the sink etc clean would have helped Toilet cleaner- needed! Instructions re using said airfryer, how to turn on the radiator, where the bins were outside, who to contact in an emergency , what to do when leaving etc needed. The property felt damp - no fan in bathroom might mean you get mould with time. Some of the fixtures looked like they'd been hacked together by a carpenter missing their guide dog.
Scenic, peaceful, cosy, bright, spacious room, warm & inviting setting and interior. Generally well appointed and very comfortable and restful. Delighted to find a hair dryer and an air fryer among other things, including a kettle.
A couple little things missing would have made all the difference — oven mitts, salt & pepper (shakers or packets), coffee, tea bags, milk and sugar.
Absolutely fantastic, even though it was 8.30 when we arrived, our host still came to welcome us and let us in to the cabin and show us the facilities, 10/10 recommend, will definitely stay again
It was a quiet location
Bobs cabin is a lovely little property if you are looking to enjoy nature and have some peace and quiet on your holiday. It’s in a great location, about 10 minutes drive from Oranmore and half an hour from Galway city. It was very clean and tidy with plenty of room for 2 people. It is situated near main roads so it was easy to get to and the hosts were very helpful and kind.
Brilliant hosts so clean and staff are so nice

No hot-plate or microwave. Only an air fryer without instructions. I did suggest that the lady write an sheet of basic instructions and have it laminated, which she seemed to accept. I asked for directions to get there, and all I got was 4 sad faces! The booking.com entry was minimal with regard to what was provided. The booking.com entry did not say whether linen was included. I asked you to find out, but got no reply. It also seemed that the Red Squirrel blob on the map was in the wrong place. We were ably helped by a local.
Aine was an attentive host and the room was clean, and quite well appointed, and warm.
“Cabin” was a bit “Heath Robinson” - some corrugated tin walls, slightly dodgy water pressure from all taps, and a couple of sockets in the kitchen which didn’t work. But - our main problem was that there was no internet connection, despite the promise of there being one. Hostess was adamant there was no problem with other guests etc, but we chatted to the 3 young guys in the next cabin, and none of them could connect at all either. Not a problem with our devices either (as she suggested) as we have 5 devices (laptop, iPad and 3 x iPhones) of differing ages - but nothing picked up a signal. If you advertise a facility (wi-fi) then you really must provide that facility, as it was a problem for us - although we were able to connect at all local bars or restaurants. TV reception was also very poor - there only being an internal aerial.
Airy, light. Extremely peaceful. Good parking. Hosts were friendly and helpful. Very clean facilities.
Needed maybe more kitchen equipment. For example mini oven. Shower worked , nicely powerful but tricky to get a warm temperature as it was either cold or red hot.
Fab, warm cosy little home from home cabin. Owner was so nice. Complimentary toiletries, tea/coffee & sugar etc. Very relaxing stay. Will definitely be back & will absolutely recommend it to others. C & J
Everything was fab
