Appu's Nido

My stay was excellent and exceeded my expectations. The room was spotless, beautifully arranged, and maintained to a very high standard. Every detail reflected the care and effort put into ensuring guests have a comfortable experience. The hospitality was truly exceptional—warm, attentive, and far beyond what I expected. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and welcoming stay.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Appu’s Nido. I visited with my parents and grandfather, and the place made us feel incredibly happy and comfortable, just like we were in our own home. The host family was truly nice and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome; they were so warm and responsive every time we needed anything. The entire property was spotlessly clean, and the breakfast they served was super tasty! They also recommended a great nearby hotel for dinner, and ordering from there was completely seamless and hassle-free. To top it all off, the view from the room is amazing, with a beautiful, constant breeze blowing in from the sea. Out of all the places I have traveled to, this is definitely one place I would love to visit again. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Cherai!

The view from the balcony was nice. The breakfast provided was very tasty and homemade.

La grande chambre spacieuse , lumineuse avec une belle terrasse vue mer. Bien insonorisée, clim fonctionnant très bien et décalée du lit.Les petits déjeuners très copieux et variés avec jus de fruits frais. L’accueil de la famille avec leur fille Lakshmi rayonnante qui parle très bien anglais. Toujours prête à rendre service, beignets de bananes cuisinés sur place excellents , petite boutique tenue par le papa qui dépanne bien. Restaurants locaux à 200 m à prix dérisoires , bonne cuisine et propre. Vous pouvez y venir les yeux fermés

Appu's Nido was a lovely place, with a wonderful view overlooking the Ocean. The room itself was clean and comfortable, and you could have your choice of AC or the sea breeze flowing through your windows. Breakfast was very tasty, with a Kerala local dish, eggs, fruit, fruit juice and your choice of tea or coffee served. Above all are Lakshmi and her mom! Lakshmi speaks excellent English and is a delightful person, and her mom is always kind, going above and beyond including making dinner for me one night and bringing me some chai and fried banana another day. If you want a place in Cherai that is clean, comfortable, safe, peaceful and hosted by salt of the earth people, you will find that here.

I had a great weekend at Appu's Nido. The family is super friendly. I experienced they do this with their heart. Practically : The bed is soft and big. The shower is great. Everything is clean. And breakfast was bountiful. I recommand this place highly.

Pretty much everything! The room is comfortable and has a balcony with a sea view. Room has everything you need. Lakshmi and her family will go out of their way to make your stay really pleasant. Kerala breakfast is amazing.

Totally outside the hosts' influence, but the sea view was spoiled a bit by the amount of plastic litter scattered on the beach road after monsoon storms.

The location and cleanliness of the room. Spacious room and bathroom was nice and clean. Nice balcony.

There was a hot water machine but if they could provide tea packets and milk powder and sugar we could make our own

Lovely large clean room with spotless modern bathroom. Great sea view from the rooms large double window. Excellent AC and fan kept the room cool. The balcony was fantastic. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and huge quantities each day, served on the balcony. A different breakfast each day (dosa, apam,idli, hoppers, fruit, fresh juice, tea/coffee). Late afternoon tea and battered snacks provided each day. A useful shop downstairs. Over the road, then over a few rocks, it is possible to swim just 50m from the room - fantastic! The main beach is about a km up the road but I was happy with nipping over the wall. Very friendly and kind people running the place. Laxmi speaks excellent English.

Great location, very clean and most of all: helpful, friendly, welcoming owners. Genuine hospitality.

The property is less than a year old. The room was spacious with a large ensuite shower room, the bed was firm ish and large. Light flooded in due to the amount of large glazing. We also like the large balcony overlooking the seafront.

If I was to include anything here, maybe the lack of any tea and coffee as there was a kettle provided.

The hosts were very nice and helpful 😊Lakshmi spoke very good English which made it easier to communicate.We had quite a nice stay.The breakfast was ok.A bit of a walk to get food and a sandy beach.

A very pleasant stay. Exceptional hosts, treated us like family. Stayed at the property for 4 days. Location was good. Food was excellent. Rooms were neat and well maintained. But the hosts made the overall experience memorable.

Appu's Nido is in a beautiful location overlooking the sea just north of the centre of Cherai beach. The room was clean, spacious and cool, with fantastic views out of huge windows, but with curtains for shade and privacy. Lakshmi and her family were incredible hosts, with lots of fantastic advice about the area and made us feel completely at home. This was both our first time in India and we will be back! Also don't miss the incredible breakfast, we are both vegetarian and we were fully catered for with delicious south Indian food!

As soon as we arrived, we were treated like family. The family who owns Appu's is so friendly and made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The food was delicious, the room was spacious and very clean. The view of the sea from our room was beautiful. We can't wait to go back ❤️

Clean big room ..its beach front all time breeze gets inside room.Well take cared and good mannered staff.I would definitely love to stay here again on our next back trip. We can enjoy the sea very close..with nice light breeze that make fall asleep ..loved it.

Beautiful property ,room’s facing the beach It has a wonderful ambience with sea view from the room’s. Rooms was really neat clean and spacious. Good caring, well mannered and great servicing staffs. Provide good tasty and different variety needs for the breakfast. They have a mini shop attached with the property was really helpful to find needed items midnight too. Highly recommended+++

We booked Appu's Nido in cherai beach for 1 night as a visit to Fort kochi for my aruvedic treatment with my family.. This good clean large room with beautiful sea view very lovely location close to beach, make us extend the days in this home stay for few more days.. Great hospitality with great food..Room is spacious well maintained neat and clean.. Unforgettable ever visit to cherai beach.. Thank you for your wonderful Host❤️

Very warm hosts, made the stay comfortable. The rooms were neat and cozy. The breakfast was homely. The hospitality of the couple who run the homestay made the stay a pleasant experience.
