1. First homestay that doesn't provide toilet paper. The host said it's homestay, not a hotel. My friends were shocked to hear this. 2. Shampoo and shower gel were placed on top of the toilet bowl where the bacteria is infested. No toiletry holder in the bathroom. 3. Cheap mattress, host said all homestays in the same building use the same type. Cheap pillows too.

Reviewed Feb 23, 2025Overall, my stay at the apartment was pleasant, and everything went smoothly until checkout.
The owner informed me that if the apartment was not cleaned before leaving, a portion of my deposit would be deducted. It would have been more reasonable if this rule had been stated explicitly before the booking or at least upon check-in, so guests could be better prepared. This last-minute mention left a bit of a negative impression on an otherwise decent stay.

The owner have granted the request since the house can be housekeep earlier. Thank you and we as family really appreciate it. Highly recommended.

Reviewed Aug 26, 2024The homestay was nice and convenient. Good parking location, and the unit was near to the lift so convenient to go to swimming pool. Easy self check-in and check out procedure.
Quite high amount for a deposit, almost equivalent to 1-night stay. (I know its stated already in booking policy deposit RM200 but things like that its easy to miss especially for people like me who dont bother to read so yes its own's fault). Swimming pool was below expectation because the water seems like not really clean and it seems people also can freely smoke in front of the kids pool so this one really puts me off. There's no nearby mart so just prepare to make sure you got everything you need before check-in. Then the check-out process, you have to take your trash with you when you check-out and not to mention the trash house are not accessible on the same floor but you have to go out with your car and its on the way to the guard house which is very very inconvenient because in my case we forgot to drop the trash and accidentally brought the trash together with us all the way to our next destination and struggle to find a place to dispose the trash. Also another thing that I didnt expect that we had to clean and return the place like in original states and also the thing is we left with a coffee table put in a corner to make space in the living room which not really difficult to place it back but its just that we forgot since we are rushing and then maybe the kitchen is a bit mess but I always thought that cleaning fee is inclusive of what we pay so I guess in this case its not and you have to make sure you clean up the place.

- the strong smell of naphthalene balls (insect repellant) - lots of small cockroaches - slow respond from the owner, didn't aware of my booking - late returning the deposit refund

Reviewed Oct 13, 2023The unit is spacious for our small family (me, my toddler, my mum & my sister). The whole area is spotless and my toddler can crawl & lie down everywhere without concerning if the floor is clean/not. Both the sleeping & common areas are equipped with AC & ceiling fan. TV & wifi was functioning well. Cutleries and cleaning items (extra tissue, extra garbage bags) are well prepared. Water heater works well. Love the bedside lamp so it's not too dark when we switched off the main lights to sleep at night. Simple things but surprisingly necessary. Everything was great & filled our need for comfort. Most items are new so I hope other homestay guests will use them appropriately. We stayed for a night only but we managed to swim & used the gym equipments & ordered grabfood for dinner. So I kinda got the whole living experience at this property despite the quick stay. Location wise was okay, not close to convenient shops/other attraction places but not a long drive to find the nearest TMG mall & even Starbucks. But Mahkota Valley management needs to fix the main property signage light by the highway as I almost missed the left turn into the area because it was not lit up & dark. Will consider staying here again should there be a next time.
