The hotel is a small building located in a quiet area, tastefully furnished, and filled with plants. It is about 20 minutes by Didi from the city’s main attractions and 30–40 minutes from the airport. The air conditioning works well, and many rooms have either a window or a balcony. Both the rooms and the common areas are very clean and well maintained. There is a free laundry service, which I tried and found efficient. Breakfast is good, with a traditional Chinese selection and some Western-friendly options. The staff were all extremely helpful. As a foreigner facing language barriers, I truly appreciated their willingness to assist with both logistical and practical matters. I joined their Dazu Carvings tour for around 400 CNY, and it was well worth it—well organized and perfectly manageable as a day trip (we departed at 7:00 and returned at 17:00). Feeling warmly welcomed and supported, combined with a very professional organization, made my stay outstanding. I can only thank them and strongly recommend this place.

After comparing many hotels, you’ll realise the service in this place is outstanding & cant be taken for granted. Despite arriving at 2:30 am, reception was available & hotel did not ask for deposit in advance for 1st night. With Didi, location should not be an issue but if you would like public transport, this place may be out of the way.

Should improve in the varieties of breads & fruits.

The staff were really helpful and welcoming. I would give 10 out of 10 for their superb service. Their breakfast has good variety. The Chongqing noodles were amazing! It is a nice boutique hotel that I would like to recommend others to go. Great value!

Très chouette petit hôtel au milieu de l'Université de Chongqing. Un peu excentré, mais quartier très calme et non loin de Ciqikou. L'hôtel est charmant, les chambres sont grandes et bien équipées, personnel très sympathique, très bon petit déjeuner (n'hésitez pas à demander des Chongqing noodles).

First the friendliness and helpfullness of the staff. I had a medical problem and needed to see a doctor. Rebecca, the hotel service manager,  took all the effort to help me: printing out information in chinese for the hospital & doctor, getting an AI diagnosis, calling and  arranging the transport to the hospital (Chongqing University public hospital -excellent and rapid service).The hotel is located in a beautiful quite and treelined street, but everything is accessible as taxis are easy to call. Breakfast is outstanding with Chongqing noodles, steamed tubers, fruit and  vegetables, porridge and so much more. The hotel has beautiful wooden furniture and wooden floors. The terras is very green and quiet.Very much appreciated were the detailed guidelines (english) (via wechat) about what to visit and how to get there with metro. The room is very clean and with beautiful furniture and a private patio. The desk in the room has a very comfortable chair (as in the lobby / breakfast area). Very comfortable bathroom also. Free laundry under 5 pieces - much appreciated. The hotel has no restaurant but there is a good restaurant only 30 metres from the hotel. Thank you Rebecca and team for your help. I will stay again at Weyu next time in Chongqing.

When I seat at the common place, the staff talked to each other in very loud voice so it will be hard to have quiet sunshine morning. But it is more about cultural things, nothing wrong, we just need to live with it. People in China talk to each other, calling each other with very loud voice.

My top recommendation for a hotel in Chongqing—the rooms are spacious, the beds are incredibly comfortable, and we even had a terrace to relax on. Plus, the breakfast was delicious, and the staff were kind and friendly. Even though I honestly don’t speak Mandarin (just a little bit or the basics), it didn’t hinder communication when chatting with the hotel staff. If I ever have the time and opportunity to visit Chongqing again, this hotel will be my first choice for a stay. Thank you so much, Lucky and the rest of the staff; my partner and I felt right at home during our stay, thanks to the comfort and kindness you provided us. Thank you very much.

Everything; hotel is clean, practical and pretty; there is a small garden to enjoy your food or tea. Location is very near Ciquikou Ancient City, short drive; in these big cities Didi is a must. Staff is very polite and friendly yet professional. Leaf and Rebecca were so helpful, particularly Rebecca as she speaks English. She made us so practical itinerary that we managed to see main attractions in only 1.5 day. And she did it all on Sunday from her home. Thank you Rebecca! Laundry services are free and you can get noodles and dumplings for breakfast. What more would anyone want!

I ate the best noodle soup of my life here!! Everything else was great too. The hotel is very clean and lies ona calm street. Also the staff was so helpful and friendly. 🥹The manager Lucky is the warmest person you could imagine. How to finish our wonderful trip in China ? Going to sleep at Wuyu Hotel. Before our arrival, Lucky contacted us if we need something in particular. As soon we arrived, she did everything to feel us super comfortable. The room was awesome and big and super clean (probably the best room I slept in all of my trips). The kid was happy with the room an all little attentions from Lucky. The breakfast was super nice and everything was made to make the kid happy. In one word WONDERFUL!

Our stay at Wuyu Hotel was fantastic. The host, Lucky, was very warm and welcoming. She helped us plan our time in Chongqing, and made sure that we felt comfortable. Even if we were in the city for a short time, we were very happy to put one hour aside and experience the tea ceremony with Lucky. She is very knowledgeable and we got to try some great tea. The rooms at the hotel are large, spotless, and with all the amenities necessary for a comfortable stay. At breakfast we had the chance of trying freshly-cooked Chongqing noodles, in addition to toasts, eggs, coffee, etc. We would definitely stay at Wuyu again.

The breakfast was delicious, and the staff was very friendly! The rooms were very clean, and I appreciated the laundry service. As an American who doesn't speak the language, the English speaking staff members made me feel very welcomed, and gave me many a list of things to do in the city. Overall great experience!

Im Wuyu Hotel anzukommen und direkt einen Tee serviert zu bekommen hat uns direkt nach einer anstrengenden Bahnreise herunterkommen lassen. Diese Entspannung setzte auch den Maßstab für den gesamten Aufenthalt. Von absolut makellosen Zimmern, zu super bequemen Betten und sämtlichen Aufmerksamkeiten (Früchte und Snacks sowie wasser und Soft Drinks als courtesy auf dem Zimmer), fantastisches frisch gekochtes Frühstück (chinesisch + continental) rundeten die Erfahrung ab. Dazu kommt die riesige Gastfreundschaft des gesamten Personals, allen voran Lucky. Sie versorgte uns hervorragend mit Tips für unseren Aufenthalt und nam sich sogar Zeit uns zu einem traditionellen Tee trinken einzuladen. Das Hotel liegt ruhig in der Nähe der schönen Altstadt. Absolute Empfehlung für alle Urlauber die Entspannung und ehrliche Gastfreundschaft suchen oder wenn man etwas zuhause Gefühl auf der Geschäftsreise sucht. Vielen Dank ans Team bis hoffentlich bald!

My family and I love our recent stay at the Wuyu hotel. The hotel manager Lucky has been very helpful and attentive to all my requests from the time I booked and all the staff were very friendly and like a happy family working together. It has a home away from home warm feeling. Its location though not central was very peaceful and safe.

Everything, quiet, modern but with a homely feel. A very hospitable host Lucky who goes out of her way to engage with you with daily recommendations. Whilst a little further from a subway station. DiDi is so convenient and affordable and the quality of the accomodation it outweighs staying in the city. I highly recommend this property.

Vielen Dank nochmal für den tollen Aufenthalt im Herzen von China — in Chonqing! Wir hatten eine super tolle Zeit, die Mitarbeiterinnen waren sehr freundlich, bemüht und haben ihre Hilfe angeboten, wo es möglich war! Wir haben eine außergewöhnliche Gastfreundschaft erfahren und sind dafür sehr dankbar! Die Mitarbeiterinnen sprechen gutes Englisch, sie helfen einem, sich in der Stadt zurechtzufinden und geben einem Hinweise auf Sehenswürdigkeiten. Auch haben sie für uns einen Tagestrip zu den „drei natürlichen Brücken“ — der Karst in Wulong — organisiert. Alle waren immer sehr freundlich und es gab ein tolles Frühstück jeden Tag. Wir haben am Ende sehr Wertvolles über die chinesische Teekultur kennengelernt — Teezubereitung im Gong-Fu-Stil. Es war sehr informativ. Auch durften wir außerplanmäßig, aufgrund einer Flugverspätung, ein bisschen länger im Hotelzimmer bleiben und uns noch ausruhen. Vielen Dank für alles! Für Touristen aus dem Ausland ist dieses Hotel ein super Startpunkt, um sich Chongqing oder allgemein China näherbringen zu lassen und ein temporäres „Zuhause“ zu finden. Denn man kann sich auf das Hotelpersonal verlassen und wird durch die freundliche Kommunikation beruhigt, denn man ist im Wissen, dass sich hier jemand kümmert und sie in jedem Fall Englisch sprechen; denn niemand spricht in Chonqing Englisch. Es fühlte sich an, als besuche man entfernte Verwandte — wunderbar!

I was looking for a non-hotel kind of situation. Didn't want to go through a lifeless reception area and then to the room. This place envelops you in warmth as soon as you enter. The reception are is perfunctory - entrance shows you a library and a serving platform ahead. All of it tells you that you will be treated as a member of the family and not another customer. And then there are the people whether it is the cleaning lady, the cook aunty, the receptionist and most importantly the concierge who speaks English. We were lucky to have Lucky as our concierge and she went beyond the basic interaction- gave us tips on places to visit ( all of it were just the right one for us), places to eat and she did something beyond what is expected of her. She arranged a tea ceremony where we could interact with out Chinese relatives while Lucky translated. This touched us a great deal and made our stay special. A bit about the breakfast. Please go hungry for the breakfast. There is so much to eat and try. The rice cakes, dumplings, congee and do not miss the noodles the aunty delivers. They made all efforts to give us vegetarian stuff. The noodles are the best here...

Tout était super ! On m’a accueilli très tôt à 5h du matin le jour de mon arrivée et j ai pu tout de suite avoir ma chambre ! La chambre était super belle et propre avec une terrasse sympathique. Lucky mon hôte a été très gentille et toujours serviable et de bon conseil pour les activités à faire ! Nous avons également bu le thé ensemble où elle m’a expliqué comment le faire et différentes histoires sur le thé. On a aussi mangé avec son équipe et c’était très chouette. Le petit déjeuner était également très bon et varié. J’ai pu goûté aux fameuses chongqing noodles qui étaient délicieuses ! Merci à la chef ! Je ne peux que recommander cet établissement dans un endroit calme et mignon et très bien situé pour moi pour aller me promener en ville. Je ne peux que recommander cet établissement! A vendéglátók nagyon kedvesek és segítökészek! A szálloda nagyon jól felszerelt. Jó környéken található az egyetemi negyed mellett. A reggeli megfelelt az elvárásoknak. Csungkingban jó választás, mert jó az ár érték arány és egy nagyon szép autentikus szálloda. Köszönjük a vendéglátást.

Whilst in Chongqing we stayed both here and at the Raffles building. When we return to Chongqing we will be staying here, the personal attentiveness of Lucky and the team was exceptional. They took their time to make sure we were making the most of Chongqing and all of the wonderful things it had to offer, even organising a day trip for us. When we were leaving before the breakfast time on a couple of days, they made us a packed breakfast to take on the road. Little things like this make a big difference.

Wuyu hotel did not look like any of the international chain of hotels. But we still booked it. Now we are more than happy to say that wuyu hotel has been a highlight of our 10 days tour. Lucky, the manager has been such a great host. We had a drink in the open air patio and she actually brought snacks for us to enjoy our evening. She also offered to book Didi for us. It made our stay here so memorable. Thank you Lucky and your staff.

The property was clean and very comfortable. It was in an excellent location very close to Ciqikou. Lucky (our main host) was very kind and very helpful always offering us places to go and wonderful tea. The breakfast was always delicious too.

What can I say about Lucky and the Wuyu Hotel that isn't just excellent praise? I already knew I would feel at home even before arriving there, because from the moment I booked, Lucky kept in touch to ensure that my mother and I arrived at the correct address and that we didn't have any difficulties. Unfortunately, we arrived feeling unwell, and Lucky spared no effort to help us, getting medicine, making tea, and suggesting nearby places to visit. And even after we left, she still contacted us to see if we had recovered. We felt very welcomed and well cared for. The hotel very cozy and well located. we totally recommend for everyone.

While it is not too far from Ciqikou, the location was a little far from other tourist destinations. This is not an issue as the local.ride share service Didi is readily available and cheap.

Let me tell you About the woman, Lucky, the Manager the heart of the WuYu hotel and the amazing staff. How often do you arrive at a place where you instantly feel at home. This is one of these times. The way they took care of me, the way I saw them make everybody feel special was golden to me. And please ask for the Tea Ceremony it's so special almost sacred and my god was it tasteful. Thankful I am for the meaningful conversations with Lucky the hotel manager.. A true princess with a golden heart. Wonderful lovely hotel in a quiet peaceful location and really professional and nice staff. Hotel manager Lucky is very passionate about talking to tourists and introducing them to local places of interest, as well as her knowledge in tea. She arranged a special tea tasting experience for us, even brewing us some of her lovely 9-year-old white tea which was very tasty. Her and her staff were very kind to answer our questions about the drone show and provided us with a list of tourist attractions organised by location, making it convenient to follow her itinerary if you have not planned anything. She was also very kind to help us book a massage before ourflight so we could relax, helping us to get discounts on her account and making sure that everything was smooth. The hotel also provides free laundry (5 pieces), and subsequent pieces is affordable as it is a fixed fee for the rest of the items. I made use of this service and it really helped as I wanted some clean clothes for my flight home. Overall I definitely recommend this hotel for travellers who would like to experience some superb Chinese hospitality.

The downside of a quiet location is that it was pretty far from the nearest subway station which we initially wanted to make use of to travel around. Thankfully it was not difficult to get didis to and from the hotel nonetheless, so it did not pose too much of trouble for us. The pros definitely outweigh the cons!

Rigtig dejligt hotel. Servicen var virkelig god og selve værelset var charmerende og nydeligt rengjort. Største ros gives til personalet som var imødekommende og flinke. Især ros til Lucky. Fra det sekund vi checkede ind på hotellet gav Lucky os den følelse af, at vi boede i hendes eget hus frem for et hotel. Man var aldrig i tvivl om at hendes største ønske var at man fik den bedst mulige oplevelse i Chongqing.

Нам абсолютно бесплатно дали советы по достопримечательностям, а также способы добраться до них, также спокойно помогают с навигацией и советами по городу. Сам номер ВОСХИТИТЕЛЬНЫЙ! Превзошел все ожидания, мы взяли номер поменьше, тк нам не принципиально кол-во пространства, но даже так номер оказался просто огромным! У нас даже был свой балкончик. В номерах чисто, опрятно и приятно находиться, ванная комната также имеет огромные размеры, расходники прекрасного качества, также есть услуга прачечной, всё очень понравилось! Завтрак небольшой, но вкусный, также можно найти еду на почти любой вкус. Также в номер нам положили чайный набор с небольшим кол-вом чая в нём, не пользовались, но всё равно приятно) Этот отель правда схож со своим слоганом и ощущается как "дом, далеко от дома". ОБЯЗАТЕЛЬНО ВЕРНЁМСЯ!

Достаточно далеко от метро, с тяжёлыми чемоданами можно было доехать только на такси, территория очень интересная, найти проблематично, но в целом найтись можно легко. Также случился маленький конфуз во время уборки номера, но проблему быстро решили и в целом мы остались очень довольны!

Very comfortable and quiet hotel in the University district of Chongqing. The staff were exceptional, particularly Lucky who treated us as guests to her home rather than just visitors. Breakfast noodles were excellent and were made to suit. We really enjoyed the tea ceremony with Lucky

Our stay at this cozy hotel in Chongqing was truly impressive. We loved absolutely everything about it. The room was clean and quiet, with every detail thoughtfully arranged. The breakfast was authentic, offering a choice between Chongqing's famous spicy noodles or a classic European option. The staff's attentiveness was exceptional. They promptly resolved a specific issue we had and provided great recommendations for a rainy day. The hotel's location was another plus, as the railway station for our onward journey was conveniently nearby.

If your sightseeing is focused on downtown Chongqing, the hotel might be slightly out of the way. For us, however, this was an advantage, as our destinations were in the hotel's vicinity. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Chongqing and highly recommend it to our friends.

Lucky was so lovely and helpful before and during our stay. She gave us lots of information about places to visit. The hotel is in a quiet location but everything can be reached easily by DiDi. The shower was good and beds were clean. We liked the Chongqing noodles at breakfast.

Little confusing at check in. Just some miscommunication but Lucky was incredibly apologetic. Make sure you know where you are going in the taxi because it can be confusing at night. The toilet in reception needs addressing.

Lucky the Manager is exceptional and very attentive. I love the hand written note as we checked in. You could feel the warmth. The location is far from the hustle and bustle of the city but totally accessible via Didi.

While the lobby is intimate in size, this only serves to enhance its inviting, residential feel, much like a well-appointed living room, which immediately makes one feel at home. The quality of the accommodations is matched only by the excellence of the staff. The entire team was courteous and attentive, but I must offer a special commendation to Lucky. She provided outstanding service, offering insightful and personalized guidance on the various attractions I could visit in Chongqing. Her recommendations were invaluable and greatly enriched my exploration of the city. Her willingness to assist with any inquiry was consistently met with a genuine and cheerful attitude. Furthermore, the dining experience was a highlight of each morning. The breakfast offered a delightful array of options, all of which were delicious and thoughtfully prepared. The atmosphere in the dining area was relaxed and inviting, providing a perfect start to the day. A particular standout was the Chongqing noodles, which were an absolute culinary delight and a fantastic way to experience local flavor. Breakfast was very plentiful and delicious; the staff are very friendly and helpful; the environment is very quiet and clean. We'll definitely stay at Wuyu again next time when we visit Chongqing.

This was my favorite hotel in China! I went with 3 friends, to multiple cities, and we all agreed this was our favorite hotel on the trip! The hotel manager Lucky was kind and welcoming! She greeted us during breakfast and gave us helpful recommendations. We also were able to do a tea ceremony with her as well and she let us take a tea cup home 🥹💕 All of the staff were very kind. The front desk worker didn’t speak English but he was sooooo helpful and we communicated through a translating app just fine ☺️ The laundry service was great! They have a bin for your clothes and when you return back to the hotel the clothes will be in your room, washed and folded. The breakfast was PHENOMENAL! Everything tasted great and we specifically enjoyed the noodles. This is the only hotel I will stay at in Chongqing 😁❤️

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit in diesem Hotel. Schon bei der Ankunft haben wir uns durch die Freundlichkeit der Mitarbeiter sofort willkommen und fast familiär aufgenommen gefühlt. Jede Frage wurde geduldig und nach bestem Wissen beantwortet, und es wurde wirklich versucht, alle Wünsche und Bedürfnisse zu erfüllen. Besonders hilfreich war auch die persönliche Beratung zu interessanten Aktivitäten und historischen Sehenswürdigkeiten in Chongqing. Das Hotel liegt in einer schönen, ruhigen Umgebung, wodurch man dem Verkehrstrubel auch mal gut entgehen kann. Gleichzeitig ist es sehr gut angebunden: Der Bahnhof ist nur etwa 20 Minuten entfernt, das Zentrum rund 30 Minuten, und einige Sehenswürdigkeiten erreicht man in 10 Minuten mit dem Auto. Auch der Service war perfekt, vom frisch gemachten Frühstück bis zur traditionellen Teezeremonie, bis hin, dass man seine Wäsche waschen konnte, war alles dabei. Alles in allem eine sehr schöne Erfahrung, die uns in bester Erinnerung bleibt. Wir würden diese Unterkunft jedem herzlich empfehlen, der hier nach Chongqing kommen möchte. Es wird sich lohnen.

We liked everything about this hotel, especially the staff. The managers take an individual approach to each guest and do their best to guide and make your Chongqing trip much easier. I'm sure that my opinion is objective and independent because I've been to various countries that are famous for their customer service, but Wuyu Hotel in Chongqing would definitely be my number one. Special thanks to Mrs. Lucky, Rebecca, and other important employees who made our stay awesome :)

Very comfortable bed and clean room. The hosts were so attentive to our needs. Lucky helped us book tickets to watch the show 1949 (highly recommend). Someone was always available to help us. Breakfast was delicious. There’s a new cute coffee shop next door. The hot pot directly across the street was one of our favorite experiences in Chongqing - hotpot inside of an old WWII Air-raid shelter.

The room takes a long time to cool down with AC.

Un grand merci pour ce séjour qui sera certainement le meilleur de notre voyage. Tout était excellent, de l'accueil à la qualité des chambres et à la propreté de l'hôtel dans son ensemble. L'équipe était fantastique et nous avons eu la chance de rencontrer Lucky qui nous a initié au monde complexe du thé. Elle a également pris le temps de nous conseiller des visites que nous n'avions pas anticipé avant de venir. Le petit-déjeuner proposé, typique de la ville, est par ailleurs tout aussi excellent. L'hôtel est situé dans un endroit calme et facile d'accès.

De gastvrouw was ontzettend vriendelijk en behulpzaam en zichtbaar (en terecht) trots op haar hotel. De locatie van het hotel is goed bereikbaar maar net buiten de drukte van de stad waardoor we heerlijk hebben geslapen. Vraag de gastvrouw naar haar kennis van Chinese thee-ceremonies! Ze zal daar graag over vertellen!

Lucky and staff were so friendly and welcoming, they did so many extra things for us at no charge which made us feel so special and comfortable. It was a heatwave so we spent extra time at the hotel and couldn't have asked for a more wonderful experience, talking over breakfast about Chinese history/culture and our lives over a fresh cup of fancy tea
