I love everything, so many small touches that make it feel like home. Quirky and cool so wellington. love love love it.

I would have loved a radio or TV

I thought it was cute and functional. There was some noise but it was Ok. It was very central so understandable that people wanted to socialize on the weekends. Liked the wooden floors and well equipped. Very secure.

The stairs to go up as I have Arthritis in my knees.

Great location, warm, clean and well supplied with all the bits n pieces like coffee, herbal teas etc. Loved the location, while it could prove to be a tad noisy late at night being in the vibrant arcade it was safe and certainly not a problem for us. Great host who kept in contact and was available if needed. Would recommend this cutie studio, so close to everything

This studio apartment was tucked away near the middle of bustling Cuba St Mall, lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. Really nice vibe in the apartment with great decor.

Nearby cafe got a bit noisy at times. A trade off for being so central.

Handy to shops & bars

First time that we had stay in this part of Wellington. The location wasn't for us. We wouldn't stay in this location again. it was a ok place but we wouldn't call it a one bedroom apartment. Also we didn't have city view & if you look out the toilet & kitchen windows it wasn't exciting. As for the balcony view that wasn't great. Getting to where the apartment was it was bit hard to find & also didn't have a very nice smell when we were going up the stairs to the apartment. Sorry but we are only being honest about our stay here.

We so loved staying in this cute little apartment, a bit more special than a boring hotel room! Really cool location on left bank, we felt very secure and pretty quiet (we were there on sun and mon nights). Very comfortable bed, everything was very comfortable and just right, with little touches like the ear plugs and scrabble game! Definitely recommend!

The location is in a kind of rough neighborhood

Location was superb, were meeting friends at local restaurant. The room is equipped with everything for a comfortable visit. Feel safe and secure in room. The vibe of Cuba St is fabulous. The stores and restaurants all closeby.

We left earlier than planned, would of like to relax in room and brekkie in Cuba Mall. But we got the high wind warning for the next morning and felt we should leave and vacate. But that's Mother Nature's issue.

We had a very pleasant stay at Compact Cutie. Communication with Martine was excellent throughout our visit — she provided clear and detailed instructions for locating the property and parking, which made our arrival smooth and stress-free. The accommodation was comfortable and well-equipped with everything we needed, including a washing machine, dryer, washing powder, coffee, hot drinks, and fresh towels. Overall, it was a convenient and enjoyable stay, and we would be happy to return in the future. P

Nearby parking can be a bit of a problem if you are not familiar with the area.

The location was brilliant for what I needed. As a single woman I was walking around alone a lot and both evenings came back to the flat after 11.00pm and felt very safe. No one can access the floor the flat is on without a key after 7pm, but the fact that the Left bank Mall is very busy late at night made it feel buzzy but not dangerous. There is also an amazing coffee/breakfast place right down in the Mall, it isn't open Monday and Tuesday.

The only thing (and this is minor because generally the flat is brilliant) is when you sit at the table people sitting having coffee across in the mall can look up and see you. This might not bother most people. There is frosted glass across the middle of the window which offers privacy from people walking past on the level of the flat. The blind can be pulled down for complete privacy but in the morning the sunshine floods the flat which is very nice.

Gorgeous wee apartment with everything I needed for my stay. It was smaller than I thought it would be but was the size was perfect for my wee family! It's located right in the CBD close to various shops. It also has a lift which was helpful in taking my luggage upstairs. Host was also very lovely and accommodating to our needs for our stay.

It was a little confusing to find at first but Martine has very thorough instructions to help make it easier to find :)

Location was perfect. Bed was comfy. Loved the retro touches in the decor.

The salt lamp, while beautiful, made it really difficult to go to sleep. A little too bright.

I loved this accommodation, I visit Wellington every few months and this is my favourite by far, and will be my go to from now on. Perfect location, I loved the vibes. I stayed on a Saturday night and while it was a bit noisy it was good, fun noise and atmosphere and pretty muffled, didn't worry me at all. So cosy, warm and homely, comfortable bed and furniture. It felt safe and had everything I needed. Communication was amazing too.

Really liked the inner city location but also the calm inside the apartment. Such an interesting area. Apartment was very stylish with everything you needed PLUS you could get a haircut at 6am, Ethiopian food for lunch, see an acupuncturist, go to a gallery, get a tattoo and buy a vintage book just outside your door.

We had a lot of problems locating the key and when we tried calling for help couldn’t get a response. Eventually made it inside and it was exactly as described. The fold out bed collapsed during the night but apart from the surprise it didn’t disturb our sleep.

Was a little trickier finding a park this time, but managed to get one in the end..

Super cool little Apartment in a great central city location

Our stay at Compact Cutie was wonderful. It was warm, close to the city action, and reasonably quiet for the location. The host was friendly and helpful, and the beds were comfy.

Smaller hot water cylinder meant slightly less hot water for showers.

This a well located accommodation option, only minutes to walk to Courtney Place. It was lovely not having a tv too. Earplugs are provided for the noise although we didn’t require them.

You can only have short showers as the water tank is tiny, and you are staying in what feels like was a shop back in the day. Although there were lots of instructions to check in it was confusing, we spent a lot of time looking for the key fob at the lift as we had a pram. The lift area is pretty gross, empty beer cans lying about and very unclean.

A great location for going out, dining, bars, nightlife and a whole lot of quirky and fun people watching and shopping!

As expected, its right in the heart of the Cuba district - so it's a tad noisy, I stayed mid week and there is still a lot going on until at least 1am. Martine kindly provides ear plugs, but do take this into consideration :-)

It’s in the centre of everything. It’s a cosy cutie that is well suited to a couple with all the amenities.

The owner is very open that you’re inner and it’s noisy, but they do provide ear plugs. My biggest complaint is that they say it has private parking. NO IT DOESNT. You will either need to park in council parking or the local carpark. Annoying if that’s one of the reasons you chose as we did

It was perfectly located for our requirements - giving us the ability to explore the local area without carrying our stuff around.

This was a bit of an adventurous pick for me as I strayed from the usual hotels, and it was the best decision ever! Location was absolutely 10/10, and the place itself has a nice ambient atmosphere and a cozy vibe. We checked in late at night and finding the place was pretty simple once we located the lockbox. If you're visiting Wellington, highly recommend this place. Can't beat a great location and a unique vibe the place has!

The location was perfect. We didn’t have to Uber and walked to everything. The location has an interesting feel with lots of artsy shops and a wonderful vibe.

I really liked it, bring a book though. No Tv. That was no issue though as we got books from the many fabulous book stores in Wellington.

It certainly was a cute funky little pad. Quirky with tlc, it had every comfort we needed including a cool drop down hideaway bed. Martine was a lovely host & very responsive to messages. It was great to stay right in the middle of the mall. We had a fantastic Indian meal directly across from Left Bank (complex where apartment is). We don't normally stay anywhere different like this but pleased we tried it this time.

The arcade itself, that you walk through to get to the middle staircase, to make your way up to the Apartment is an older style, different courtyard setting (looking up its a little dilapidated). A few 'different' people hanging about but you get used to it. A couple of great places to eat even though they don't look much.

It is a studio, not a one bedroom apartment. The second fold down bed is merely partitioned off and not in a separate room. Ok as we were travelling as a family but maybe a bit too cosy otherwise !

Loved how central the accommodation is. We also felt safe amongst a lively, bustling, hidden gem. Beautifully clean, thoughtful sweet gestures and attention to detail. Great delicious food right outside your door.

It is a little busy at night as expected with the location, thoughtful gesture of ear plugs and information booklet to help remedy these situations is amazing

No television in the room which is a bit disappointing after a long day sight seeing whe you just want to chill with takeout! Also some quite dodgy characters around so wouldn't recommend staying on your own if youre not used to city life. Also the photos lead you to believe there is a balcony there which is solely for the apartment. It isn't, it is merely a thoroughfare to get to the next apartment, not somewhere you can sit and enjoy.
