Such a peaceful and quiet place to stay. The water was clean and had strong pressure, and the room was spacious and clean. The location was also convenient and easy to get to, with some great food spots nearby. Overall, a very comfortable and relaxing stay!

La situación inmejorable, es top! El bungalow tiene mucho encanto con las vistas al mar. Todo el Resort tiene una áurea especial. El mejor hotel que hemos estado en Filipinas!

Es un sitio en una localización increíble, y de allí se lleva todo su encanto. El restaurante está rico aunque caro, y es cómodo que tenga el centro de buceo dentro.

El precio del centro de buceo era muy caro en comparación a otros. Hace falta renovar las cabañas, la nuestra tenía termitas en las vigas y caía serrín sobre la cama. El camino, al ser de piedrecitas, estaba bastante inestable para la moto. Si tienes problemas con ver insectos, debes saber que aquí vas a encontrarlos

L’ambiance, l’emplacement, le bar / restaurant et le divertissement center sur place (Opaw Dive Center) sont tops ! Le personnel est super sympas et les propriétaires aussi :-)

La ubicación, espectacular justo en la playa

- located on a black sand beach, and about 5-10 minutes from Mambajao by motorella. - The staff were lovely: for example, when I got heatstroke the staff went to the pharmacy multiple times to get stuff I needed, which was very kind of them. Thank you 🫶 - The restaurant serves really good food for a very reasonable price, and the portions are large. - There’s a hostel cat!! She’s very friendly and lovely :)

However, - the hostel itself really needs some TLC. The bathroom always had a line of ants along the walls. Some of the floorboards were broken and easy to trip over, or just straight up had holes in it, and the flooring just generally didn’t feel very secure, like it could break beneath you at any moment. - There’s no air conditioning. However, each bed does have its own fan.

Era a una platja fantàstica, tenien servei de bar/restaurant i ens van facilitar tot per poder visitar la illa. Es rural, entren geckos a la habitació, si ets delicat no es el teu hotel…

No està a prop de la ciutat i has d’anar en tuktuk sempre, per anar a la platja del hotel està bé, però per moure’s a veure altres coses o sortir a sopar es difícil. No te aire acondicionat.

The Beach Front Cabin with balcony is really good.

I like the peace and serenity of the place. If you want privacy, being close to nature and want to have a nice beachfront view, this is the resort for u. Also, their staffs are very nice, friendly and helpful. I really like the big talisay trees giving shade and giving a much cooler breeze to the place. You can take a dip anytime in the beach just fronting the resort. And at night, you can stargaze.

The location though is quite a distance away from restos and everything. But if u have a motorbike or car, this wont be a problem. U'll pass by a cemetery while going to the place, and it could be pretty dark at night since there is no light on the path.

Despite signs saying otherwise, smoking is allowed everywhere, including the restaurant.

Amazing location right on the beach and sea view. The room had a working AC and was very spacious. The staff is friendly and helpful and was able to rent a scooter right at the resort.

Soundproofing of the room is almost non existent. I could hear my neighbours late at night chatting or making phone calls, so I had to sleep with earplugs.

This is one of the chillest and most authentic places I've been so far in the Phillipines. The location next to the beach is beautifull. Amazing sunsets everyday. Staff is very warm and welcoming. The food is well priced and the bear is cold. Its a social place is you want it to be, travellers of all ages and backgrounds.But also plenty of space for solitude and introspection if one wishes to do so. Highy recommend!

Extrem Heruntergekommen und dreckig. Ungeziefer in den Zimmer Der Koch urinierte Abends einfach neben den Fußweg von Parkplatz Restaurant Hängematten stanken stark nach Schweiß Hunderte Gekos liefen überall an Decken und Wänden entlang. Das nachfüllbare Trinkwasser war eindeutig nicht abgefüllt. Das Personal lügte mich darauf angesprochen an. Ich wurde von dem Wasser krank und hatte starke Magenprobleme

I had such a great stay here! The staff are super friendly especially Jerwin, Jane and LJ they're easy to talk to. They’re easy to talk to and make you feel welcome right away. The whole place has a chill, relaxing vibe that makes it easy to unwind. It’s also a great spot to meet people or just enjoy a peaceful stay.

Honestly, nothing major coz everything was smooth and comfortable.

Det var mycket djur i rummen.. Ödlor, myror, larver och avföring från krypen. Personen hjälpte men standarden på rummen var lägre.

The place is beautiful, right at the beach where you ca see the sunset and bioluminescence at night! They have hammocks to chill at the beach and a dive center right there.

The way is a bit tricky to get in with the motorbike 😅

Die Lage ist Top, wie auch die schön gestaltete Anlage des Hotels. Das Restaurant bietet regionale Gerichte, die lecker sind.

Im Restaurant hat leider auch das Personal geraucht, obwohl es nicht erlaubt wäre. Die Bungalows sind sehr einfach gehalten, Bett (hart) und Bad (dürfte besser gepflegt werden). Sehr ringhörig und leider vielen uns Früchte des Baums auf das Blechdach, was unglaublich laut war.

We hadden een cabin met seaview geboekt inclusief ontbijt.toen we uitcheckten kregen we een rekening met het ontbijt te betalen. Slordig. Er waren 2 cabins met seaview. Wij kregen de seaview cabin met een stapelbed voor een stel met kinderen en dat hadden wij niet geboekt. Wij hadden een cabin met 2 persoonsbed only geboekt. We bleven 7 dagen en we kregen elk 1 handdoek voor de hele week. Niemand heeft in die week de (bad-)kamer schoongemaakt of aangeboden dat eventueel te doen. De hut is gehorig omdat het huis van de eigenaar ? er heel dicht naast staat. Geluid van de restaurant bar is storend in de cabin. Na 10 uur savonds is het wel heel respectvol stil ! Het is niet duidelijk wie staff is en wie gast is. Niet duidelijk wie van de staff verantwoordelijk is voor wat. Erg relaxed. Beetje alsof je in een informeel clubhuis bent in plaats van in een resort.

Beautiful location on the beach. Good for swimming and sunset. Nice traditional style bungalows in between trees. Large open lounge area to hang out. The food they offer is tasty and home cooked with Philippino specialties from Camiguin and European dishes. The hosts are very accomodating and very helpful on giving advice for all kinds of activities (snorkeling, hiking, diving, sightseeing in general). It’s a very friendly atmosphere there. Nice to also just hang out and chat to the hosts and fellow traveler. Scooter rental is available. There is a dive shop included in the resort. The aircon room, newly renovated, with sea view was a real gem. Salamat

The direct access to the beach was very pleasant, the food served at the restaurant is very tasty! Staff was nice and helpful with booking tuktuks and renting paddle boards.

Some people were smoking inside the restaurant while we were eating dinner (there is a designed smoking area outside)... Facilities could be cleaner.

I really enjoyed my stay at Playa del fuego! The staff is nice, the location in the middle of the forest but also near the beach is nice but don’t expect an awesome beach. It’s simple but still really nice here! Although it doesn’t seem so it’s really social because the guys running this place are trying for everyone to feel welcomed and social!

Playa del Fuego est très bien situé et le cadre est magnifique. Il y a une super ambiance, chill et conviviale, tout le monde est disponible pour vous conseiller sur la découverte de l’île et plus encore. Il y a aussi un club de plongée (OPAW diving) où nous avons fait 2 plongée avec Loïc qui est super sympa et très pédagogue. Foncez y les yeux fermés ! Encore merci pour ce super séjour !

Après 6 semaines de découverte des philippines, j'ai choisi de terminer mon voyage dans un lieu qui réunirait toutes mes attentes, et je l'ai trouvé...!!!! Au milieu d'une nature luxuriante,tout près de cette plage de sable noir ,dans des constructions naturelles qui se devinent aux milieux de petits jardins, des hamacs sont à disposition sur tout l'espace, ici la détente,le confort et la bonne humeur priment..!!! Accueilli par une belle équipe de Belges et de philippins, l'attention, les bons conseils et les belles adresses sont partagés allègrement...! Lieu de rencontres et d'échanges,de convivialité,ou l'ont peux aussi déguster de savoureux plats maison,et découvrir de bonnes bières..!! Merci à Axel,Antoine, Loïc(qui trouve une solution à tout...!!)qui est aussi guide de plongée ! Et.. Marlon,Nancy,Amélie, Cliffor et Jerwin pour leurs sourires et leurs bonnes humeurs Philippines..!! Ce fut un pur bonheur avec de très beaux rdv de Sunset..!!!

Common bathroom was very dirty like really not acceptable. I understand that the place is a kind of a hostel but common areas like bathrooms should be very clean and it was not.

El sitio es un paraíso, con la playa al lado prácticamente para ti solo, en frente de White Island. El personal es amable y las instalaciones están limpias, no se puede pedir nada más para disfrutar de Camiguin

Localizacion privilegiada al lado de la playa. El personal es muy amable. El hostel es grandecillo, asiq suele haber gente para socializar. La posibilidad de cenar alli es un plus. Las habitaciones privadas son amplias. Facilitan alquiler de moto. El lugar es muy bonito, pero no se si repetiria por el tema de los bichos

Entiendo que al estar en la playa es normal que haya insectos, etc. pero deberian cuidar mas las habitaciones con mosquiteras, cortinas, lo que sea. Me cambie a una habitación privada para estar mas comoda y habia algun bicho en el colchon que me picó en todo el cuerpo por la noche, incomodo. Las literas no son comodas, se mueven mucho y no hay aire acondicionado, aunq se puede dormir bien con el mini ventilador que dan

La ubicación.

La primera noche ya nos encontramos una cucaracha en el baño y eso ya te hace estar intranquilo, se entiende que por la situación de las cabañas puede pasar pero no gusta… muy cutrillo, y sin ningún mueble ni nada para poner la ropa o las maletas.

For my first visit in the beautiful island of camiguin , I decided to book in playa del fuego and it was an excellent choice . The property is located like 10 min from the pier in a very luxuriant jungle area but also right at the front beach witch is giving a wonderful view . The room was huge , clean and very quite . Water pressure was great and also have a water heater for those who like it . The rate a very reasonable and it include a simple breakfast . On the top of the restaurant area , there is a nice chilling area with hammock, perfect for a lazy afternoon . If you prefer , they also offer a la carte menu with a nice selection of comfort food and they have also special dish time to time . The place is managed by 2 Belgian brothers Boris and Axel so special mention for the Belgian beers selection available at the bar. If you re a diver don t miss also to experience their brand new dive center managed by Loïc who will be happy to show you the beautiful marine life . Overall experience was great and match my expectations, the place is full of good vibe so I decided to extend my stay for couple more days .

There's definitely a lack of storage space for suitcases and clothes; it costs almost nothing to do it! The comfort should be improved (air conditioning).

Shared room with 4 beds with fans. Simple but okey with lockers. Really cool common area to chill and hang out. Right next to the beach. There is bar with drinks. Good wifi for working.

The only sockets are in one corner in the room, none is close to the bed. The road leading to the property could be better. You need the scooter if you want to go anywhere. Bathrooms not really clean and very few on the second floor.

We stayed for two nights. The hotel is located right in front of the beach, which is nice, but not very useful if you’re out exploring all day. They also offer airport transfers for an extra fee.

We were disappointed that coffee or any drinks were not included with breakfast—you have to pay extra, which is unusual based on our travel experiences. The room wasn't very clean, and overall, the price felt exaggerated for the level of service provided.

This place is definitely not worth the asking price. For over 2 000 I expected something different. Also the road to get there is bad, better leave car on the main road. It´s not bad, but definitely not worth so much.

Next to the beach. Able to snorkel close to the hotel.

Not enough complimentary soap and shampoo. Coffee was not included with breakfast.

The hostel/resort is in a great location, making it easy to explore the island. We didn’t spend much time there, but it was comfortable for what we needed. The room was very spacious. Breakfast was average.

The room lacked furniture, and the bathroom.occasionally had an unpleasant smell. It’s a shame, because the place has a lot of potential but could really benefit from some renovation.
