Very Clean - Felt like a hotel Rooftop pool and bar was a nice space

Sensor lights kept tuning off after 30 secs in the toilets and showers. No need to have large storage boxes under the beds - Very loud and annoying to remove items. There is enough space to simply place suitcases under the bed.

El hostel estuvo bastante bien y cumplió con mis expectativas. La distribución de los espacios es cómoda y los baños estaban bien. La pileta y las instalaciones en general se encontraban bastante limpias y cuidadas. Tuve una buena estadía y me pareció una opción correcta para alojarse.

Como punto a mejorar, añadiría cortinas a las camas para tener un poco más de privacidad. También me resultó poco práctico que para muchas de las actividades fuera necesario pagar en efectivo; estaría bueno contar con más opciones de pago.

Sa parle que anglais j’étais la seule avec le personnel à parler portugais au Portugal, et le fait que le système de grosse mâle sous le lit n’est pas pratique le matin ni avec le cadenas Ça fait du bruit et quand on est plusieurs c a peut venir vite embêtant mais un système sous le lit mais une petite porte avec le badge pour ouvrir serait top

Die Betten sind zu eng gestellt, daher war es schwierig, sich zu bewegen, wenn man die Aufbewahrungskisten herauszog. Die Sprossen für die oberen Betten sind schwer zu erklimmen.

My partner and I stayed in one of the private suites which was lovely - still had a hostel vibe but with our own area! Location was perfect, comfortable stay, breakfast was a bonus!

Great location, super friendly staff and atmosphere in general, very clean, convenient breakfast, nice pool with amazing view, easy to meet other guests with the social activities.

Surprisingly, WiFi is almost non-existant, and there are no curtains on the beds, strange for a new hostel on this price range (they're in the process to install them tho).

El rooftop con la piscina y la parrilla es increible. Realmente un lugar espectacular con vistas a toda la ciudad mientras nadas en la pileta. Es un lugar ideal para conocer gente.

Las camas en los cuartos compartidos no tienen cortinas. Tuve que improvisar una con las sabanas para tener un poco de privacidad.

Not suitable as a Suite or private accommodation. The Suite has its own bathroom, but the shared toilets and showers for other guests are located directly next to the Suite door. The balcony is also shared. The Suite bathroom had a very unpleasant smell, and the AC is centrally controlled, so you cannot adjust it yourself. After complaining, no proper solution was provided. We could not even complete one night and left several days before our planned check-out. Fortunately, we moved to a hotel directly on the beach and are enjoying our stay much more.

Location was good, rooftop area was pleasant and I like that it has a bar up there.

Quite a few things. Understand it’s a hostel but we booked a private room with facilities. Even so the taps were spring loaded and didn’t last very long. The fall on shower floor was insufficient so had to use the bath mat to hold back the water. The toilet leaked and made a noise all night. I even think it was connected to hot water as the face plate was always warm. There was no exhaust fan so the bathroom was really stuffy. Did include breakfast but was quite basic.

Best hostel I’ve been in!!! I was on the 2nd floor which is girls only and everyone was just so nice and kind! It felt like a girls night everyday! The pictures don’t do justice to the quality of the hostel. Everything is clean. The pool on the rooftop is just WoW! I had the brazilian dinner and it was AMAZING!!! The location of the hostel is also perfect! I had an amazing experience and was really sad to leave! Will come back 100%!!!

It’s just missing a ramp to climb in the upper beds and curtains for more privacy. Other then this everything was perfect.

My daughter was approved last minute for a dive wait list. I attempted to depart a day early and messaged the property 48 hours before our arrival and 5 days from the date I wanted to change. Booking.com showed the change and indicated the property had 24 hours to respond 24 hours later the property declined the change siting a 72 hour policy. If your itinerary os subject to change, do not book this spot. For the price, a towel should be included. WiFI is very poor

Tiene una cocina muy linda y amplia, sirven el desayuno y esta bueno. Las áreas comunes en general son muy lindas, la piscina en la terraza buenisima!

El desayuno podria extenderse un poco mas

Vista incrível! Localização ainda melhor, mesmo ao lado dos bares para ir sair, imensas atividades para fazer e toda a equipa da receção foi incrível 💖 Muito fácil de conhecer pessoas no pubcrawl e foi mega divertido. Nota-se que o hostel é renovado, está mega bem decorado.

Não tem cortinas nas camas mas sei que estão para instalar brevemente. A água da piscina é um pouco fria, se fosse um pouco aquecida seria incrível! Os baús para guardar as coisas estão sempre a sair do sítio e é um pouco chato ter de tirar tudo para fora para guardar coisas.

La piscine avec la vue est juste top ! Avec le coin détente À l'arrière. Les grands balcons aux chambre donnant sur l'océan ! Le petit déjeuner est varié et le personnel est accueillant

le manque de rideaux pour les lits et les gens qui parlent comme s'ils étaient tout seuls à 23h/00h/1h du matin mais bon ça l'auberge by peut rien. Et le manque de place pour circuler, avoir les coffres sous le lit et devoir les tirer pour sortir les sacs ou affaires ça limite un peu l'espace.

Limpeza, camas confortáveis, e localização excelente.

Chuveiro com tempo para desligar, acaba demorando mais no banho. Falta orientação para que os outros hóspedes não batam as portas, não ligar música alta no celular dentro do quarto, não bater a tampa do locker, especialmente a noite. No geral acho que regras de boa convivência nos quartos já que são todos divididos.

Es war alles sehr sauber, super durchorganisiert, das Frühstück war klasse, wir haben es sogar auf das Zimmer bekommen. Die Lage war auch sehr gut, sehr zentral aber dennoch ruhig da in einer Parallelgasse zum Trubel. Aussicht aufs Meer wunderbar.

Es wäre alles so schön gewesen wenn es nicht so laut gewesen wäre. Reinigungs-trupps verständigen sich mit einem funkgerät das extrem laut ist und auch wenn sie nichts sprechen, ist es an und man fühlt sich wie auf dem Flugplatz. Wir hatten ein eigenes Zimmer unter dem Pool, und die ganze Nacht lief die Pumpe. Der Geräuschpegel war ab morgens und werden danach durch die Pumpe so extrem dass wir sogar eine Nacht früher ausgecheckt haben.

Frühstück nur von 8.30-10.00 Uhr und wenig abwechslungsreich, wenig gesundes Essen. Leider keine Vorhänge an den Betten und die Fächer für das Gepäck unter den Betten sind bei der Benutzung sehr laut! Sehr viele Partygäste im Hostel, wer einen ruhigen Aufenthalt möchte, sollte lieber woanders buchen!

Me eh quedado dos noches y fue muy tranquila mi estadía, la habitación muy limpia, las demás áreas comunes todo muy limpio y organizado. El desayuno bien completo para empezar el día muy bien. La verdad no tengo quejas y el personal muy amable, volvería a ir sin pensarlo.

A acomodação é muito limpa, staff sempre muito preocupado com os hóspedes, ótima experiência!

Eu acho que todos os quartos devem ter um espelho de corpo todo.

Quarto: 8/10 - falta cortina nas camas, a vista dos quartos é maravilhosa, o travesseiro não é tão confortável mas também não é ruim. O quarto tem ar condicionado!! Funcionários super educados e receptivos. Andar feminino, nunca tinha visto e adorei Eles fazem grupo para compartilhar as atividades do dia, achei super prático e muito legal

Internet: 5/10 - se você está na área comum, no celular funciona. Pra trabalhar no notebook precisei rotear meus dados móveis do celular. No quarto, nem no celular funcionava. A área do chuveiro deixa a desejar. Não tem nenhum suporte bom pra deixar as coisas na hora de tomar banho. Também achei que faltou uma limpeza mais recorrente pela quantidade de gente usando.

Bellissima stanza spaziosa con terrazza vista mare e ampio bagno. Collocata in posizione centrale. Belli anche gli spazi comuni e molto piacevole l’opportunità della colazione in camera. Efficiente e cordiale il personale.

La calidez del personal, la habitación con vista al mar es hermosa, la gran comunidad que hacen con los demás residentes, para quienes tienen estadías largas ofrecen programas muy buenos, como ver el amanecer donde te reciben con manta y te caliente. Cada detalle y estilo que le ponen a todo parece una familia.

Al desayuno le faltaba algo mas de proteína, para balancear los carbohidratos.

Zimmer viel zu klein, Badezimmer steht auch bei vorsichtigem Duschen ständig unter Wasser, Badezimmer ist wie ein Feuchtbiotop und stinkt nach Schimmel, Bett unbequem. FÜR EINE BESSERE JUGENDHERBERGE HABE ICH 200 EURO DIE NACHT BEZAHLT??? Das ist am Dreistigkeit nicht mehr zu überbieten. Ich weiß, es ist Hochsaison und Portugal überlaufen, aber 200 Euro die Nacht für eine solche Kaschemme ist wirklich unverschämt! Das einzige Mal, dass ich 200 Euro die Nacht gezahlt habe, war in einem 5-Sterne-Hotel. Für eine solche Unterkunft wie hier, erwarte ich Preise von höchstens 70-80 Euro...

The staff were very helpful and the location, activities and hotel was good

The breakfast time was late. One should consider that tourist go on tours early which means we miss breakfast because the breakfast starts 8:30am which is way too late Running out of toilet paper and roller towel

It was very central and close to everything! The room itself was fantastic (minus the fact there were no blinds on bed - something to add in for sure). It was the perfect mix of social and enough room to be by yourself. The dorm also included a large balcony which was perfect amazing for some freshness into the room and also a place to relax and hang washing! Beds were comfortable and very clean!

That there were no blinds on the bed for privacy. But there are blind tracks so hopefully they can add!

It’s a beautiful hostel in the perfect location. Great value and excellent for solo travellers. It’s so efficiently run, there’s a group WhatsApp that keeps you up to date with hostel events and local recommendations for food, drinks etc. I would say it’s the perfect balance, great if you want to meet people to socialise and have a good time but not a party hostel

Amazing rooftop, breakfast included, clean washrooms, spacious rooms, nice communal spaces to work and socialize, the pool, views and the friendly and helpful staff. They plan events every day for guests and very close to the nightlife and restaurants. Based on people who stayed at other hostels, ours was the best!

Wifi is terrible. Connection drops all the time. I had to use my data to complete my computer work. The storage drawers under the bed are very noisy, heavy and slam onto people. They need to change the storage cabinets. No curtains on the beds either. It would be nice if they changed up the breakfast options (ie fruits, and have protein options or tougher etc).

Lo mejor la ubicación y la Pileta en el último piso.

El aire en las habitaciones no enfría mucho. Le falta cortina a las camas. No tiene repisa para apoyar objetos en la cama. El living en donde se cocina y desayuna no tiene aire acondicionado. Y es un hostel para adolescentes. Deberían indicarlo. No se puede descansar porque nadie respeta ningún horario de silencio en las habitaciones. Se quedan en el balcón de la habitación gritando toda la noche. Si tenes menos de 25 y te gusta la joda, la vas a pasar bien.

Vibe boa! Uma galera jovem e animada, pub crawl, staffs super legais e uma otima localização para aproveitar o melhor de lagos! A piscina no terraço é otima tambem.

Tudo muito organizado e limpo , mesmo cheio. O jantar “Brazilian bbq” feito pelo chef Geisler ( nômade.experience) foi ótimo. O hostel tem muitas atividade e funcionários muito atenciosos e gentis. Em especial da recepção e limpeza!

O valor cobrado do cacifo pra deixar bagagem antes ou depois de deixar o hostel, 1 euro cada vez que abre a porta. Poderia ter armário que pudesse usar , com próprio cadeado .

I have stayed here many times. I have stayed in hostels in 60 countries, and I can say with certainty that this is one of the best in the world. It is well maintained from year to year (unlike other hostels) so pictures and reviews reflect what you get when you stay. The staff are wonderful and deliver a consistent experience.

Lagos has become a more expensive destination and hostel pricing has gone the same way - I just hope that it moderates so I can keep coming back!

Everything! Location, the bedroom beach view and the actual bedroom conditions and space were top. Breakfast was amazing and the pancakes were divine.

The drawers are quite challenging to manage and with less precautious one can hurt oneself and it happened to me. In the shared bathroom space when paper towels run out, they are only replaced on the following day.

Perfecte ligging! Vriendelijk personeel, niet alleen van de receptie. Goed matras. Ruime schone keuken. Mooie ruimte om mensen te ontmoeten. Leuke dingen worden er georganiseerd. Word door de app van alles goed en duidelijk op de hoogte gesteld.

Douche - om de 30 sec op de knop drukken omdat je anders geen water meer hebt. Niet handig als je ook echt wilt wassen. Verder heb je 4 kleine haakjes die eigenlijk net te klein zijn om iets op te hangen, valt er weer vanaf. Ook zijn er geen legplanken, want erg irritant is want nu moet jij je spullen op die vieze en natte vloer leggen. Denk hierbij ook aan bijv je sleutelkaart voor de deuren te kunnen openen. De douches worden in de ochtend vroeg schoongemaakt maar gedurende dag niet. Dit terwijl je juist veel mensen vanwege uitgaan etc de douche ook in de avond gebruiken. Ik stapte iedere keer een douche in die niet schoon was, veel haar en rook ook niet fris. Misschien als tip om of een trekker neer te zetten zodat men i.i.g. zelf even schoon en droog kan trekken. De dames van de schoonmaak werken hard maar omdat er het vrij groot hostel is, is 1 keer niet genoeg. De bedlampjes zijn veels te Fel. 1 lampje verlicht de hele kamer… want nogal vervelend is als jij even iets wilt lezen maar andere willen slapen of andersom. De bedden hebben geen gordijnen.. is toch ook fijn voor enige privacy. En de bedboxen—— ieder bed en dus persoon heeft een grote ruime houten bedbox op wielen waar jij je spullen kwijt kunt. Vervelende is ze maken heel veel lawaai en dus heb je ook dat wegens wisselende slaaptijden van mensen je continu gewekt wordt door de boxen.. Bovenstaande zijn meer punten van aandacht waardoor hostel nog beter kan gaan scoren.

Ottimo ostello! Personale gentile e disponibile, pulizia impeccabile, letti comodi e colazione inclusa, semplice ma buona. La piscina sul tetto con vista sulla città è un vero valore aggiunto. Posizione perfetta, a metà strada tra il centro storico e le principali spiagge, tutto raggiungibile a piedi. Consigliatissimo!

Las camas no tienen cortinas o algo que te de intimidad, la luz central de la habitación despierta a todo el mundo, debería haber alguna luz más tenue para los huéspedes que llegan muy tarde o se van muy temprano

Good location. Clean facilities. Rooftop pool was fantastic. Lots of activities going on - we enjoyed the Portuguese dinner night.

Beds are close together and room is quite small for 8 beds which makes accessing the storage trunks very difficult. Bathrooms are outside of the room and shower water turns off every 20 seconds. There is also nowhere in the shower area to put your clothes etc. We are in our late 20s and definitely felt ‘older’ as most of the people seemed to be 18-24.

Eu gostei de TUDO, os quartos organizados e limpos todos os dias, a área da piscina com uma vista linda, o café da manhã super gostoso e com variedade, os funcionários excelentes e as atividades e as recomendações incríveis também e fora que a localização é excelente ou você pode fazer tudo a pé.

C était top. Très bien placé. Très propre. Personnel très sympa. Cuisine fonctionnelle et lit correct. Petit déjeuner varié et bon et les pancakes étaient excellents. Sunrise sur le rooftop très sympa.

Spintelės kambariuose tikrai triukšmingos. Antrą naktį kelias valandas važiavo šiukšlevežės po langai ir stivėjo su įjungtu varikliu po valandą, nebuvo galima miegoti.

Conveniently situated in the old city, and with an ocean view, Topcity Hostel and Suites is perfect for a getaway to Lagos. The amenities are very good, cleanliness is a priority, with cleaning staff attending more than once each day to ensure the accommodation was of a high standard. Staff are welcoming, and the included breakfast is substantial, with fresh pancakes made each morning for guests.

There is an 11pm curfew for noise or partying, however, some guests chose to disregard this, which made it difficult to sleep a few nights.

I didn’t stay long enough :)

Heerlijk ontbijt met toast, pannenkoeken, vers fruit, cornflakes, kaas, ham, zoet beleg, koffie, thee, melk, soja en sapjes. Goede stapelbedden voor een internationaal en jong gezelschap.

De lockers zijn kisten op wieltjes met een deksel. De hele boel moet met lawaai van onder t bed om te openen. Handdoekjes bij wastafels op in de avond. Geen aanvulling.

El hostel tiene una comodidad buenísima, la pileta suma un montón y estás en el corazón de la ciudad. Todo está super limpio.

El staff no habla español, más allá de que es un lugar donde van personas mayormente angloarlantes, estaría bueno que hablen español tb. Las cajoneras para guardar debajo de las camas son incomodísimas, no hay lugar para q dos personas lo hagan al mismo tiempo. Al menos en habitaciones de 6 personas. Ideal haya una cortina o algo que de intimidad a cada una de las camas. Otro tema, estaría bueno q controlen mejor los griterios que suceden en los pasillos de las habitaciones. No se puede dormir.

It was my second time at this hostel. There is a very friendly atmosphere, and the staff are always helpful and friendly. The breakfasts are also very good, and they offer different activities, which make staying there excellent.

Sehr schönes hochwertiges Hostel, saubere Bäder und Toiletten und diese werden auch regelmäßig täglich in Ordnung gehalten. Das Personal ist super. Es gibt Angebote für Ausflüge oder Socialising. Betten bequem. Lage ideal für Lagos Innenstadt als auch für die Strände. Eine Besonderheit ist dass das Hostel ein Frühstück anbietet, es ist sehr lecker und völlig ausreichend.
