Beds and pillows were hard.

The hosts were super-hospitable and went beyond the call of duty to help us in every way. The accommodation was lovely and comfortable, with lots of loving touches and exuded warmth and nurturing. We loved our stay there.

Everything thing , the cottage is beautiful, has all the essential necessities .It is homely. I loved the stoep as well we sat outside facing a beautiful view of the vineyards plantation

I stayed for three nights and had such a wonderful time. Hennie and Chrisma were incredibly kind and welcoming from the very beginning. Even before I arrived, Chrisma was extremely accommodating, particularly as I was travelling with my dog, Brandy. I was able to check in early and was also very kindly upgraded to a beautiful cottage. Chrisma even offered to look after Brandy for the day while I visited the national park, where dogs are not allowed. Without her kindness, I would not have been able to make that visit. The cottage was absolutely stunning. I have rarely stayed in a place where so much thought and care has been given to every little detail. There was really nothing missing, and I immediately felt at home. I particularly loved sitting on the porch, but there are also so many beautiful little corners under the trees where you can just sit, relax and let the world pass by. On my last evening, a lovely fire was prepared for me in one of those cosy corners under the trees. It was a perfect way to spend my last evening there. I also ordered a braai one evening, which was absolutely delicious, and took some lasagne with me on the day I left. The food was excellent. More than anything, it was the warmth, generosity and care throughout my stay that made this place so special. This is the nicest guest house I have stayed at in South Africa so far. I can only recommend it and will definitely be back.

It was clean and everything we expected as per the website. The location was good and the owners made us feel welcome, they are very accommodating.

Alles was ok

It was so peaceful and lovely. We absolutely loved staying there for the week. The area is beautiful and the cottage itself was gorgeous. The host provides everything one could need and constantly checked in to ensure that we were okay and had everything we needed. When we had car trouble, she immediately jumped to help, and we appreciated it so much. Will definitely stay there again!

Het bed viel me echt tegen. Werkelijk zo hard als een houten tafel. Vrijwel geen oog dicht gedaan. En de douche was op zich niks mis mee. Maar de waterdruk liet te wensen over. Ook was er geen melk of koffiemelk voor de koffie beschikbaar.

Das Cottage ist liebevoll eingerichtet und hat alles, was man braucht. Das Badezimmer hat eine schöne große Dusche und neben dem Waschbecken viel Ablageplatz. Der Sitzplatz auf der Terrasse hat eine Grillstelle und Blick auf den Garten.

Fliegengitter an eingen Fenstern und der Eingangstüre wären schön gewesen, um Nachts insektenfrei lüften zu können und auf die Klimaanlage zu verzichten.

Der Schatten unter den Bäumen, das Vogelkonzert am Morgen, der freundliche Hund, der auf uns wartete.

Wir wurden sehr herzlich begrüßt und konnten das Cottage schon früher beziehen. Der Raum war bereits gut klimatisiert. Kaffeekapseln, super leckere Tafeltrauben von der Farm, Rusk, Feuerholz - alles war vorhanden. Gute Betten, schönes Badezimmer mit rustikaler Cottage-Gemütlichkeit. Schöne Sitzgelegenheiten im Garten / auf der Terasse. Gut funktionierendes WLAN. Die freundlichen Farmhunde kamen ab und zu vorbei, waren aber nie aufdringlich. Wir haben uns rundum wohl und sicher gefühlt.

Bei unserem ersten Aufenthalt hatten wir das kleinste Cottage, das nur über eine Holztür von der Nachbarwohnung getrennt war. Dadurch war es etwas hellhörig. Die anderen Gäste waren allerdings rücksichtsvoll, daher war es kein großes Problem.

Het huisje is bijzonder smaakvol ingericht en super goed uitgerust. De eigenaresse had zelfs een koud biertje en druiven uit eigen gaard in de koelkast klaar staan. Hout voor de braai met aanmaakblokjes, thee en koffie en nog veel andere faciliteiten aan huishoudelijke zaken en snel internet zaten zelfs bij de service. Een echte aanrader op weg van of naar de Kgalagadi.

De weg ernaartoe is niet heel goed aangegeven met een bordje. Rij naar Die Pint Caravanpark en sla VOOR de rivier linksaf.

Chrisma was a wonderful host. The place is truly beautiful and the attention to detail was amazing. There was complimentary beer, juice, various coffees, rusks wood/blitz and more for guests to enjoy. We loved sitting on the veranda enjoying the beautiful garden, the friendly dogs and all the birds. We also enjoyed the farm pool.

Difficult to locate (we arrived in the dark)

The room is beautifully decorated and includes absolutely everything you might need - from coffee and tea to a little braai starter-pack if you're planning to eat in. Gardens are also really lush and full of bird life, plus we loved the dogs popping in to say hello.

There wasn’t a single thing to fault. The guesthouse is beautifully designed with tasteful décor and has everything you could possibly need. It’s fully equipped, comfortable, and feels like a home away from home. The attention to detail was outstanding, right down to the thoughtful snacks provided. The host was incredibly friendly and went out of her way to ensure we were comfortable and well looked after. Highly recommended – we would definitely return!

Amazing stay host Chrisma was an incredible host; she even brought some sweeties for our daughter. The place was clean, cozy and perfectly located, just want we wanted a true cute little farmhouse. She had 2 ice cold beers and juice in the fridge for us as well some rusks and raisons. I highly recommend Dagbreek cottages.

The location was great, off the grip to relax and Chrisna the owner, she is the friendliest person i ever met when booking into a hotel or guest house

We were warmly greeted and treated like family. We even went to their church bazaar. Chrisma and Hennie were gracious hosts and put lovely goodies in the room and supplied great Braai fixings for dinners. The room was cozy and beautifully decorated. Loved the sound of running water and enjoying a nightly fire. Very close to the Orange River.

Hosts very considerate and helpful. Most welcome home-made soup provided unexpectedly. A lovely outdoor area for warmer weather. Beautiful trees and interesting farm location.

Just one thing - nice decor, but pillows on bed not comfortable for us. A bit too fat and hard for head to rest upon.

A beautiful cottage with lots of attention to detail. Two ice cold beers awaited us on arrival, juice, coffee pods, biscuits all for us to enjoy. The bed and bedding so comfortable. We felt loved and at home. Defnitely a gem waiting to be discovered.

Cute little cottage, the host is very attentive and provided all the necessities and little nice-to-haves like teas, coffees, milk, rusks, filtered water in the room, fire wood set up outside, patio swing with all the pillows ready to relax and make it super comfortable from arrival. The bathroom has lots of space for bags and toiletries and there are enough cupboards in the room for long stay. We will definitely be back here again.

The host was extremely friendly and welcoming and even treated us to some freshly baked banana bread.

Such an amazing place ! I regretted not staying longer. The welcome was amazing, the place was beautiful and I was welcomed with such care. The surroundings were stunning and I felt very safe. Would recommend 100%

All the small details, fresh flowers, juicy melon and grapes in the fridge, rusks, coffee, biscuits it was just an amazing place to stay! The host is amazing. This is the best place to stay ideal for being in the Northern Cape and seeing what it is all about!! This is the ideal place to stay to base yourself between Augrabies, Kakamas and Keimoes. We visited Bazalel to taste wine and also Die Mas. Die Mas had Wine, Gin and Brandy tasting and the food was also well priced and very tasty! (A must at Die Mas :) We will be back to this property! This is also an ideal place to stay if you are on the way to Namibia!

We really enjoyed being in a farm atmosphere surrounded by the vineyards. We were very pleased with our room very cozy. We enjoyed the friendliness and the presence of Crisma who greated us so warmly. Without forgetting her husband personality.

The property exceeded our expectations.

This is a new listing, and what a wonderful find it was. Great location tucked away on a table grape farm but yet not far off the main road. Lovely outlook onto the garden and separate and privately placed from the main house. A charming outside eating area next to the barbecue braai. The furnishing is very tasteful and classy, yet with a rustic farm feel. Quality linen and down duvet. So we were warm and cosy on a mid-July night with a heater, duvet and electric blanket . A whole wall of cupboards for all your stuff : both clothing and supplies. The owners of the farm are a fun and charming couple, sensitive to your privacy, yet there when needed. They spoilt us with all sorts of goodies and delicacies ,way more generous than normal, wonderful South African farm hospitality. Take a stroll down to Die Punt, an old camping site, and spend time at the river. We used this accommodation as a base to explore both Kakamas and Keimoes and the wine farms in this area.

The hot water took a long time to run hot and then, it was not very hot. But this is a farm,and the owners are aware of this issue.

I had a wonderful time at the farm. It is very quiet, clean and they welcome you with many treats that make you feel comfortable. The hosts are super friendly and assist with anything and make you feel at home. There are nice hikes nearby and the hosts give good recommendation on where to go and what to do. The hot springs are a must. I kept extending my stay as it was better than expected. Excellent value for money. A Good coffee machine and a well equipped kitchen. A comfortable bed with electric sheets to keep warm. I didn't want to leave... :) tips: Chrisma makes really nice bread and they have Braai packs for sale

The pressure of the water in the shower could be better as well as the temperature, but the place is still 10/10 and highly recommended
