Host is super! She even made it a point that our breakfast was different every day, and very pleasant to talk to. Right at the center, so everything was within easy reach.
NA
The old house and the "retro" décoration. The owner is kind.
The smell , and feces of the dogs breeding ! The house is at the corner of two streets very noisy.
Everything
Nothing
The house and courtyard are a genuine historic building, and absolutely charming. The host and staff make you so welcome that you feel at home the minute you arrive, and never want to leave. The best of the british B&B tradition gone international. The location is excellent for walking to all the main sights of Taal, very close to the Basilica and old market. I should also mention the delicious breakfast, which will help foreign guests appreciate the regional food. Loved staying there and highly recommend it.
It didn't bother me, being a city dweller. But dont expect absolute silence. The downside of a central location is being on a main road. Also, they have a few dogs, which are very friendly and loveable; so much so, you dont have to be a dog person to like them. But if you have a big problem with dogs, maybe not the best place for you.
First time I gave 10 score, it was definitely the best and most atmospheric accommodation, the room, the terrace, breakfast is served so beautifully and on top of that a wonderful hostess Ima.
Absolutely nothing
Traditional old house, bahay na bato. Strategically located near major tourist spots.
Some areas were a bit dusty.
Le cadre vintage vaut le coup d'œil.
Le bruit continu de la circulation et des chiens qui aboient sans aucune isolation phonique de la maison.
The staffs and the owner were very kind and attentive to all your needs. The place gives you pre-hispanic era vibes. Recommended for travelers who look for a place to stay in Taal🫡
A well-maintained, historic house located on a main street in Taal. A very tasty breakfast with French pressed coffee is provided. The owner, Ima, is a delightful woman who shared with me her interesting history. She also graciously took me to the Lemery bus station. Her staff are attentive and helpful. The room was kept comfortable by an air conditioner and fan. Spacious shared bathroom with a hot shower and good water pressure.
Although this issue is generally not a negative about this accomodation, a neighbor has several dogs which constantly bark throughout the day and up until shortly before midnight. The fan and air conditioner drowned out the traffic noise on the busy highway in front of the place
Great location , host and breakfast.
A little traffic noise.
I liked how the staff was very accommodating. Also, the owner was very considerate.
House is simple yet homey, filled with decors, antiques and ornaments. A house built in the 1920s and renovated/extended in the 1940s and 1970s giving off different looks in house architecture. Close to Taal Church. B&B operator, Ima is so welcoming and chatty. You'll find out who she is beyond the B&B once you step inside. 😉 Loved my 4-poster antique bed. My 7am breakfast at the balcony with Tapang Taal and Kapeng Barako was delicious, well-presented with carefully selected colorful tablewares. Will stay again.
Superb location and very clean. Friendly si ms. Ima and very good staff
Loud noises from the motorcycles
Close to everything
I an hear the noise outside the streets
Location and proximity to the Basilica
Ima nous a accueillis chez elle d’une manière très bienveillante: elle est disponible, de bons conseils et très soucieuse de ses invités ! Nous avons adoré séjourné dans sa belle maison ! Merci encore !
I loved staying in Casa Conchita. The owner, staff, and pets were really nice and accommodating. Their breakfast meals were always delicious. It also has the most convenient location in Taal. Staying here had been really fun for me.
Staff said rooms were full when i tried to walk in at afternoon. Later, I found there was one room available when i was checking the hotels nearby at Booking late evening and i did the reservation with full payment (could not be cancelled). However, no room could be provided when i went to the hotel, very bad reservation experience. So, be careful if you book it late afternoon or evening, seems they do not update at Booking timely. Also, in this case, do not expect they will refund u the full payment, just claim to Booking service for your full payment.
Vanessa and Alvin were amazing! Thanks for the excellent service and availability! Highly recommend!
The street noise even in the early morning and late evening
Bon emplacement, personnel aidant. Très bien.
La route est très bruyante.
Clean and place is right in the tourist spots.

They welcome us very well and very accommodating. The place is nice and comfortable though some of the furnitures are old but all in all the stay is very good and will be back.
Thought of we might broke some furnitures haha
The location is great, right in front of a beautiful church and in the heart of the city center, which makes everything easily accessible. The lady who looks after the hostel is very kind and welcoming, which adds a personal and warm touch to the experience. Breakfast was really nice, served on the balcony, which made for a lovely start to the day. Everything was clean and well maintained, which I really appreciated.
The room was very hot, and while there was air conditioning, using it at night was not ideal due to the loud noise. No curtains, which means no privacy and lights at the start of the day. There was no hot water, which was a bit uncomfortable. The room was very small and basic, with just the essentials.
near the center of the town and easy to find

Location great, some street noise. Nice atmosphere and breakfast which is included was always on time requested.
Friendly helpful staff.
It is our 3rd stay here, and every time we heat to taal, this is our default go-to place. It is almost across Taal Basilica, Asia's biggest Catholic Church, near convenience stores, and food places. Always love the heritage vibe and breakfast with taal specialties.

You served yummy breakfast with equally tasty brewed coffee. Your house is so preserved, plus all your memorabilia. Very homey place..over all we really like your place..see you again
Pls fix your bidet. So much water is wasted. You may also put some screws to CR lock, it might fall anytime
The staff were amazing and so accommodating in every way. Very good location close to all the sites.

The hostess was gracious, very helpful with directions and assistance. The home cooked Philippino breakfasts were delicious and with the French press coffee it lasted me the whole day.
Homey,safe and clean
It is am intimate little place ! The owner and staff convivial helpful. it is a great break from the impersonality of Airbnb’s where you don’t ever meet the proprietor.!breakfast was outstanding!.
Traffic noise is steady. But it is all people going to work and wherever! It is right on the jeepney and tricycle routes. ((Which was convenient as that is how we got here!) We are visitors. So happy to stay here!
The owner is nice and helpful. The breakfast exceeded my expectations. I enjoyed the awesome location. You can explore nearby tourist attractions by walking.
Close to the main road in the city, you should bring a pair of earplugs if you’re sensitive to noise.
The owner take care of me during my stay. I like the breakfast, the tapang taal

Breakfast is very nice. Location is really good. No
Close to the church
It's close to the street so you can hear the vehicles
Location is the best. Just a 2-minute walk to the Minor Basilica and Parish of St. Martin of Tours and public market. It is an ancestral house, so it is old. The family room was spacious and so clean. It also has safe parking inside the compound. Free tapa and longganisa breakfast eggsilog meals were served with my favorite unlimited hot brewed coffee. The friendly host, singer Ima Castro, took the time to send us off. The staff were very courteous and attentive to our needs. It was like spending 2 nights in your friend's ancestral home, if your friend is Ogie Alcasid, who actually owns the place. 😃
Because of the excellent location and time of the year, we heard a number of loud people and vehicles passing along the street even at the wee hours of night.
Location was strategic because very accessible to tourist attractions and commercial establishments. The host was very gracious, gregarious and accommodating. Interacting with her was fun, at the same time enriching. We learned a lot from her. We will never forget her. For sure, former guests have had that same feeling. Even future guests too. The breakfast was typical filipino breakfast but was delicious. It was attractively presented well together with side dish and coffee. The table was set like in a fine dining restaurant and how it impressed us a lot. The receiving area was full of the host’s memorabilia and lots of stuff that used to be popular during the old days. While in there we felt being transported to the past, giving us nostalgic vibe.

I like the location. It is close where we wanted to be just like Basilica, supermarkets, and restaurants. Rey, the staff is friendly. The Tapsilog breakfast was delicious, and the brewed coffee too

I enjoyed my stay at Ima's B&B. Ima is super friendly and we have chatted quite a bit. The B&B is beautifully decorated with antiques and is located in a very convenient location.

The breakfast is good.
There is no water heater... althou the water is warm.
It was so close to the Basilica. I like that the old house beauty is retained. The garden was pretty. The place has a nostalgic feels I really liked it. It looked like a small place from the outside but it really is spacious inside. It’s clean and the Breakfast was super, i loved it. Kuya Allan who received us was very warm and welcoming. Ms Ima who sent us off the next day during check out was very warm and jolly as well.
Nothing really. It was true to the pictures posted so it was as I expected it to be.
Heritage home with a lovely collection of eclectic objects from across Asia Nice yard with fan and tables Very central location for attractions Lots of restaurants and convenience store nearby
Owner was very condescending initially. When I asked about how to get from Mabini to Taal, she told me she can't publish a book on how to travel from every town in the Philippines... although Mabini is a very popular destination in the same province. But, after I expressed polite displeasure, she was very receptive, and our in person interaction was downright pleasant
Beauty of the house
Room too basic for the price...
The house is old and feels like a museum. The garden is a little heaven as the streets of Lemery and Taal are always packed. The host is super welcoming, warm and makes the best breakfast!
No complaints here
The breakfast and location were the only things we liked about the property. Breakfast was served in the yard at the arranged time and was great. It was the traditional topsilog (tosino, eggs, rice) breakfast but was set up very nicely on the outdoor table. The coffee was hot and serve yourself from the pitcher that the server refilled as needed. The location was walking distance to lots of places and shopping (particularly for filipinana and barongs)
We stayed in Dec 2024, right before Christmas. We were in the family room where we had 4 beds, 2 bathrooms. The room was dark and dank but at least the air con worked well. We didn't open the curtains because it's right next to the street. The room was not very clean and we saw (and killed) several cockroaches. The bathroom is very old and, yes, has old world charm but also didn't work very well. There were 2 toilets (one of them had a shower, both very old). The warm water in the shower only lasted for 1 person and then overflowed into bathroom area so that you could not use the bathroom without getting feet wet. When we tried to contact someone to help, there was no one. It was already about 10 pm and we were leaving at 8 am. So, we used the second bathroom for the night, no one else was able to take a shower, and just let them know in the morning as we left of the issue.
The B&B is full of all kinds of interesting antiques, has a balcony and garden area. The manager is an international musical performer, so (when present) interesting to talk to. The breakfast was great. It's very central to the historic district.
It’s a wonderful heritage house. Off road parking if there’s space. Had the blue room which was a 1 bed en-suite. Traditional 4 poster bed. Our kids had the family room for 5 adults and 1 child. All good. Very close to everything. The owner, Ima, was fabulous. Nothing was too much trouble. Thankfully she spoke a great level of English. The famous Basilica was a stones throwaway. Breakfast in the garden was a treat.
Nothing
Everything! Host is very accommodating. Food is superv. Our furbaby even met all her furbabies and we're very happy. Just 50 meters away from Taal Basilica. Value for the money.

I really enjoyed staying in a historical house of Taal filled with memories of the past. The location is excellent, almost in front of the basilica, and just a minute from the lovely market. The house keeper has very limited English but he did his absolute best to accommodate my needs. The service of the breakfast was impeccable, with brewed coffee. My room shared a bathroom with another room but there was no other guest during my stay. My room had aircon.
Cold shower only. No curtains so the room is quite bright as soon as the sun rises.
This is a classic home with beautiful decor. The owner is delightful and went out of her way to be helpful - and to make her guests feel at "home". The location is perfect for visiting local tourist attractions.
