Its worth it for the spectacular night sky display . And the peace and quiet. A great little pub down the road too. Took a trip to Castlepoint. Well worth the hours drive and walk up to the viewing point just past the lighthouse.
Hot water pressure is very low. Needs a new pump or something . Although cold pressure seems ok. Not a plumber so dont know why they are so unequal. I lived on tank water with a pump and had no problems with pressure unless the pump had failed in some way. So something to work on. Cheers
Having it to ourselves. Great wood burner

The place is amazing. Lovely fireplace warms up the whole loft very well. Tina is incredibly responsive and helpful. I found the bed to be quite comfortable and the space was big and very clean! Additionally, the location is gorgeous overlooking the vineyard and the stars on a clear night was breathtaking.
As mentioned before, the water pressure for the tub is pretty low but it’s fine as long as you plan your bath well in advance!
The property was a great location for me. It was fun to live at a winery. The staff, Alex and Ollie, were amazingly kind, gracious, and ready to help with anything I needed. The wood stove was fantastic.
The hot water pressure was horrid. It had a nice big shower and tub but a trickle of hot water. Cosmetically it needs a little updating, faded worn upholstery, minimal and dated decor and more need a bit of attention to the details. Again it was comfortable and very clean. Hopefully this isn’t a direct reflection of the wines being made next door.
Great location and roomy living area.
Water pressure when taking a shower.
The country quiet. The great views from every window. Pleasant employee working on the ground floor..inviting us to the Gladstone Vineyard open day. Bought nice bottle.
Not a thing to report. Even the weather was beautiful. Close enough to Masterton and Carterton
Excellent location and views, good value for money, and staff very helpful.
Great location in the setting of a vineyard. Quiet and peaceful. Great place to stay! We really enjoyed our trip.
Lovely location, spacious space with great facilities. No breakfast supplied, but everything else we need was provided (tea, coffee etc). Would definitely stay again and hopefully sample the wines next visit.
Hot water pressure in bath needs addressing and a fan would be good on hot night.
The room was a great size, plenty of space and felt homely. It had everything you could need in the kitchen area and the bed was comfy. We were greeted on arrival and offered wine tasting which was beautiful and felt very special as the cellar door was officially closed when we arrived. It was a lovely way to start our couple of nights away.
The main thing was not having any aircon, it was a very hot couple of days and that would have been a game changer as the nights were a little uncomfortable with the heat. Even with all the windows open it was hot, then that also let in the bugs which wasn't ideal. I can imagine it being a beautiful winter spot with the fire place lit. If I am being very picky the water pressure in the shower wasn't great and it was hard to get a good temperature.
The putting wood in the fireplace and having it ready to be lit was a nice touch as meant could start the fire start away when arrived late
Nothing
The property was central to Wairarapa, very quiet, clean and lively location in the vineyard

The Loft met all our expectations. We were delighted to have found this lovely quiet homely property in the country not too expensive in which we could base ourselves while we visited family.
Nothing really
This place is beautiful - both the loft and the vineyard. The staff are very friendly. We even got a free tour of the winery. Their wine is amazing too. Tina is a great host. I would definitely recommend this place.
The accommodation is comfortable, cosy and convenient, perched above the Gladstone Vineyard cellar with stunning views across the vines towards the surrounding hills. The location is wonderful, deep in the heart of the countryside. The night sky is amazing, a true dark sky domain. You have all the beauty of a peaceful rural location with the convenience of being close to the town life of Greytown and Carterton. Plus the friendly Gladstone pub is just a few minutes down the road.
We were fine with the steep steps up to the Loft but it may be a challenge for people with mobility issues.
An amazing location, and the Loft had everything you needed. Would love to visit again.
The accommodation was great i would recommend and come back
The water pressure was terrible . I booked the property based on the amazing bath that took over an hour to fill with help from the jug . The shower was little more than a dribble and was cold even in warm water . If the water pressure was fine I would have given 10/10 but only gave because of this
The Loft is very spacious and comfortable, has a good private outdoor too. Wood burner worked perfectly and made our staying warm and cozy.
Wonderful location to experience the Wairarapa's dark skies
Breakfast provided was nice but not enough to cover both mornings of our stay
Fire was already prepared by the host, as was the sofa bed when we arrived. Even left us some chocolates on the pillows. Peaceful and beautiful location. Good size bathroom. Good wifi. Close to Urlar Vineyard and also the Gladstone pub, which is worth a visit
Bed is a little uncomfortable but not too bad. Mind the steps up to the room, might be a bit tricky for unsteady folk if wet We were there during Winter, so the Cellar door below was shut for the day unfortunately. Not a major really.
Peaceful location. Woodburner was great
Water pressure for shower was low.
We loved the welcoming approach from the host. The facilities were spacious and comfortable. Being above the tasting room meant a lovely start to our time as we tasted some lovely wines and enjoyed a wonderful cheese platter. We had a great breakfast provided. Being on a vineyard was a beautiful setting. It was very peaceful and restful. We had the bonus of a small jazz event at the vineyard which we throughly enjoyed.
Nothing I can think of
You have to separate the winery from the loft. The winery is a smaller one producing several good wines. Shout out to Monty who worked hard to make things work providing information while sharing his own story. The winery/loft is outside of several small farming communities. It's location is at the same time, peaceful and quiet, while being a drive from restaurants and other places of interest. The room is large and private considering it is upstairs from the cellar door.
Arrival was easy because we were provided the lock box code in advance. The space was large but needs upgrades to fix it's issues. The room was not clean, a few dishes in the sink, spider webs all around dead moths and flies in front of the glass entry door, loads of live ones swarming the room. We opened it up and cleared out the live ones and brushed many of the dead ones off to the side until someone cleaned up the rest with a vacuum. When the reservation was booked about 6 months in advance, the listing read excellent breakfast. It now just says breakfast which included a loaf of bread, some milk, packages of oatmeal and instant coffee. At some point there was an on site restaurant which is not there now. The bed was very uncomfortable which made it very hard to sleep in spite of the peace and quiet. In summary the loft is a side effort for a working winery where the focus is on the wines.
Brilliant breakfast. Location very peaceful
Step to get int shower difficult for older people. No Wi Fi

All fine
Well-appointed and ideal for what we wanted. The Gladstone Inn was wonderful for an evening meal.
Wind machines at 3am in the morning but one can't blame the weather.
Lovely, quiet property, waking up with the sound of all the native birds in the trees behind the building.
Such a beautiful place to stay with a lovely fire, a big bath and an amazing view of the stars on a clear night!
The couch wasn't the most comfortable but it was still alright
Lovely size, private good kitchen and cozy with the fireplace.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily stay again. Lovely peaceful rural location. Comfortable. Breakfast provisions provided a nice touch. Wood burner was very cosy but, as we stayed on a cold weekend, necessary. The stairs up to the Loft might pose an issue for anyone with mobility issues. A light on the stairs would be good to shed better light when returning at night.
Perfect location close to family.
I cannot comment on this property. I booked this accommodation through Booking.com. On the initial paperwork/information I was sent nothing was mentioned about the method of access to the property being a key in a lockbox. We left our home four days prior to the date of our arrival at The Loft. Once we left our home we had no means of obtaining our emails and hence never received the email from Booking.com instructing us about the key in the lockbox. On arrival at The Loft we found no person to help us and although we phoned the phone numbers on the printout confirmation I had downloaded these numbers were incorrect or not in use. We tried 018 directory service for the phone numbers of The Loft, Gladstone Winery and Booking.com but they could not assist us. As it was now dark we went back to Greytown and booked alternative accommodation. I appreciate this is no reflection on the quality/standard of the accommodation. Upon returning home I have tried numerous times with Booking.com to sort this problem out and maybe obtain a refund or part refund, Nothing to date. Lesson learnt I will NEVER use Booking.com again. In closing I add I have booked accommodation in England and Europe through other online providers and never had a problem or hiccup. Not a satisfied customer with Booking.com. Linda
As above.
Lovely quiet relaxing location. Well equipped apartment with excellent cooking facilities. Light breakfast provided, a nice bonus.
Very spacious. Easy to find. Very quiet, no neighbours.
We had hoped to do some wine tasting when there. However the winery closed some time before we arrived. This was not apparent when we made the original booking.
Loved that it was peaceful and relaxing
The stairs leading up to the loft. If it rains it’s not very safe.
We loved the size of the accommodation, got full use out of the fireplace. Thoughtful breakfast provided. The location was perfect, peaceful and quiet.
We were initially not sure exactly how to access the loft. Thankfully a contractor was on site and called the manager. There was nothing else we did not like.
Everything was perfect... it was excellent! Host was welcoming and very hospitable. We really enjoyed the personalised wine tasting and the serenity and beauty of the landscape!
Nothing... We liked everything!
Lovely spot!
Shower over the bath was not practical as the seat in the bath was in the way. No room to stand properly under the shower.
Had everything you’d need. Quiet and peaceful.
Very quiet, lots of space.
Probably needs a good spring clean as there were a few cobwebs around. Insect repellent needed too
This is a unique location at a vineyard. A loft apartment, the large room includes the kitchen, sitting area and queen bed. It has a lovely patio overlooking the vineyards.
It could have been cleaner, especially the bathroom. There were cobwebs and leaves all over the patio area - not pleasant to sit out there on the chairs provided. They did not know we were arriving so we had to make several calls to figure out how to get into the apartment. Sadly, we didn’t get to sample the wine from their winery either.
It’s just perfect. Lovely property set in nature.
Stunning setting, perfectly tranquil and equally beautiful
Great location for a visit to the area.

The whole experience was outstanding
The location. The apartment was great value and the host was excellent
Location was perfect - ideal for exploring the area. Great value for money and a lovely host.
Nothing!
We loved our stay at Gladstone vineyard! The loft is really well equipped and cosy for a weekend away. The vineyard being downstairs is a great bonus. Lovely breakfast provisions were provided and we received a bottle of wine from the vineyard. Would highly recommend for a relaxing break.
Lovely apartment on a vineyard. Spacious, well appointed apartment. Well equipped kitchen, Sunny and a deck. Lovely fire, fresh fruit, complimentary wine and eggs/toast etc. Also the large bath is a nice feature. Would definitely stay again. Gladstone Inn just a couple of minutes away.
Nothing.
Perfect spot for us to stay close to family who only have a small home. Complimentary bottle of wine on arrival much appreciated along with breakfast food in the fridge. The cellar door at the Vineyard is open at weekends, lovely to sample and purchase their outstanding wines. Super in winter to enjoy the ambience of a fire too.
Nothing not to like. Will stay again.
We loved the environment, views peace & space.
Wonderful location, food provided for breakfast was excellent.
Being a rural property, there were the remains of a few bugs around the bathroom and kitchen.
