Bed was very comfortable and enormous
We had only 1 hand towel and the other towels weren't folded as if the room hadn't been properly prepared. Coffee machine didn't work. Mugs didn't fit under the coffee pod spout. Room had an odd set up, kettle + coffee machine down stairs, water was upstairs in the bathroom. No makeup mirror on the dressing table, only the one in the bathroom.
Well maintained, comfortable & clean. Beautiful garden areas to sit. Inside was beautiful and breakfast was very good and hot
Room was small but had everything we needed, very comfortable
Absolutely lovely environment. Friendly helpful staff. Lovely food. No complaints. Great value for money. Well worth a stay and if in the area will certainly stay again.
Beautiful setting, room was lovely. Bathroom also lovely with good water pressure & very hot water. Staff were great, really accommodating & friendly. Breakfast was delicious!!

Excellent Breakfast. All staff very friendly and efficient. Room very comfortable and welcoming. Great value for money and will definitely stay again.
No issues found at all
L'hôtel est situé dans un bâtiment du XVIIIè s., plein de charme, et dans la nature. Les chambres sont confortables. L'accueil est sympathique. On s'y sent bien.
Great breakfast!
Very clean. Lovely room. Nice bar area. Lovely breakfast.
Could do with a blackout blind on the velux window in the attic room.
Pleasant well equipped room. Good food at night and excellent breakfast.
Booked table for dinner 3 weeks before but given table in bar that was not suitable to eat at. Had to move to large long table in bar to manage. Not ideal. Should have had table in restaurant area as we were guests. And very slow service.
Everything. This is a fabulous property noted in the Domesday book. The food was delicious and the staff went out of their way to help you. The owners had renovated the property sympathetically restoring some of the old original features and with excellent decor. Our bedroom was small as is to be expected in a building of this age but everything was spotless and we were very comfortable.
Nothing.
The room was nice, albeit a bit small. The bathroom was great and a good size though. Everything was clean and they provided a good fan that was super quiet. Dinner and breakfast were delicious and the dinner was also a really good price. The breakfast was prepared fresh based on a menu and was well done!
The room was a bit small and you can't open the window wider than a few centimetres but that's just UK regulations for you.
Nice rural location, good food and drink and staff were all helpful. Great view from room
Beautiful location and rooms
Very pleasant staff and the best GF menu I have found anywhere. Around 75 percent of the meals were GF, including pies and a suet pudding. The manager said this chain specialises in gf and the food was excellent.
We wanted a twin room and only the family suite was available. The description said there were stairs between bedroom and sitting room. This turned out to be a metal spiral stair up to the double bed with bathroom 3 steps below the main sitting room floor with sofa bed. We ended up both sleeping on the latter which was not very comfortable, as didn’t want to use the staircase during the night. To be fair, the staircase was visible on one of the photos in the ad but I didn’t spot it before booking - my fault I suppose. I felt also it was quite expensive.
Would definitely stay there again. Only stayed 1 night had a meal spot on and breakfast was spot on.
Couldn't find anything to dislike.
Built in 1654 lots of history and we had a beautiful suite
Could improve breakfast offer, only main course no yogurt fruit cereals etc
Good location off M6. Good food comfortable bed. Second stay while travelling to Scotland.
Great pub with good selection of ales.
Probably one of the best places we’ve stayed in the UK, room was excellent, staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was well worth it and all in all a really good start to our break. Highly recommend

Very comfortable and great atmosphere Staff all really helpful and good attitude Breakfast was superb
Room was on the small side but still had everything you could need
Great venue and staff all very welcoming
The rooms were beautiful also the restaurant and facilities were great can't find any faults
Loved our stay in this beautiful pub/guest house, the staff were so friendly and helpful. Our room was lovely with all the little touches to make it feel more homely. It was spotless. The outside area was lovely and it helped as the sun was shinning. Great overnight stay.
There was nothing I didn’t like about this property.
Lovely, comfortable room, great food, excellent, friendly staff.
The location is nice. It's on a windy B road, but okay with care. All of the Brunning and Price establishments we have been to over a long period have been clean and characterful. Haighton Manor is no exception. Breakfast was very good. Staff were efficient and friendly.
It's a relatively minor point, but leaving Haighton Manor on to the B road is tricky, as visibility is hampered by foliage which should be cut back. Easy to rectify. Vehicles travel at a pace as it's a straight part of the road.
It was great. Super friendly staff.
No veggi options for breakfast just poached eggs on toast. Nothing else just fantastic.
Beautiful surroundings

Very welcoming from the off, loved the room and all the nice touches. Best sleep ever, staff were fantastic!

Lovely pub great beer and food and nice lovely crowd in pub who all wet home about 10pm so I had a great nights sleep in the countryside
Peacefully quiet location and easy parking.
Although the dinner menu was varied, it was not quite as we expected and we felt limited choices. We were very surprised with the limited breakfast so if that is important to fellow travellers we would not recommend this accommodation.
Location excellent for visiting our daughter & family who live nearby. Breakfast was very good and staff very friendly and helpful.
Great atmosphere, busy local establishment. Spacious, bar/restaurant area. Room was compact but very comfortable. Enjoyable overnight stop, while on a long drive South.
Lovely location, peaceful surrounded by fields. The food was excellent, good selection of choice including vegan and vegetarian options. The staff were friendly and very helpful.
The shower was over the bath which usually is no problem but this one had extremely high sides so unfortunately getting into the bath was impossible for my wife, who is only 5ft tall, some kind of step would have helped. Therefore I would not recommend staying in this property if you are short or have slight mobility issues.
Beautiful property, lovely food and rooms
No buffet for breakfast.
Absolutely charming, warm, friendly and a great atmosphere. Loved everything about it.
Not so keen on the spiral staircase in our room.
Fantastic old hotel/pub, well renovated and comfortable, breakfast was outstanding
Lots of character. Fantastic menu, friendly, welcoming, interesting room with lots of space and great atmosphere
Tough to criticise for the money paid and what you get
Great staff and the restaurant had a diverse menu and everything we had was delicious. Also, the beer/cider selection was top notch.
Excellent breakfast. Flexible staff. Convenient location.
Room was a bit small but OK.
Mooi interieur, goede bedden, lekker eten, vriendelijk personeel, rustige ligging. We waren op weg naar Scotland, tussenstop op ongeveer 5 km van de motorway. De moeite om terug te gaan als we in de buurt komen.
We stayed in a junior suite and it was lovely. Split level so as an early riser I could get up and have coffee downstairs whilst my partner slept. Food was amazing.
Design of bedrooms and outdoor seating Great breakfast

Staff were all excellent
No soap in bathroom quickly rectified when asked for
Very friendly and attentive service with an excellent relaxed atmosphere. Somewhat isolated in the countryside, but has a large car park and clearly is well liked in the Preston area, as it was comfortably busy on Saturday late afternoon and evening. We loved how they have converted the old building and also incorporated some bedrooms. We stayed in room 2, which has a steel circular staircase up to the bedroom and en-suite bath and shower room.
A minor issue, but the kettle is in the downstairs area and the cold water tap in the bathroom is upstairs - so making our regular cup of tea in bed in the morning meant several ups and downs. Plus I couldn't find the TV remote for the upstairs TV, but fortunately the downstairs TV remote worked either TV.

Friendly atmosphere excellent food/drink
We are both in our late 60s we were uncomfortable with the shower it was difficult to get out of the shower it was slippery no bath mat and the depth of bath getting in and out was difficult definitely needs a handle and some type of bath mat
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful; the service was excellent. The room was clean and comfortable, a fantastic stay, we will definitely return.
Lovely setting, interesting history.

Comfortable room. Nice bar and restaurant
Shower over the bath. Should we a walk in shower
The atmosphere was good. A busy venue and clearly popular
the breakfast was disappointing.
Lovely old building. Bar/ restaurant area very comfortable and welcoming with open log fire. Dinner good value and very tasty Staff very welcoming Stayed room 2 - downstairs lounge area then upstairs mezzanine rafted room in the attic as bedroom/ensuite. Breakfast very good quality sausages
If you had mobility issues the spiral staircase in our room would be an issue
Fantastic room, incredibly clean and well equipped. Great location for where I needed and staff were friendly and attentive. I will be staying again

Everything was fine!

Wider dinner menu
Lovely room, pub, staff. Lots of parking. Really great. Breakfast - Mushroom/spinach option was great.
Breakfast - Full English - ingredients were a bit average.
We liked the overall ambiance and especially the candles on every table, it felt like the whole place was really looked after and cared for, with the fires lit in the winter it will be even better! A very good dinner menu and breakfast and a lovely room with a large comfortable bed, looking forward to breaking our journey here again.
Nothing really.
The breakfast was excellent. Whilst the hotel is a little out in the countryside this did not bother us as we were visiting relatives and they came to dinner at the hotel. Dinner was excellent too.
Beautiful setting. Wonderful accommodation. Good value for money.
Food was quite good. There were limited choices for breakfast but the helpful staff and wonderful location and accommodation made up for this.
Super pub/restaurant/hotel set in a lovely area..
The whole stay was excellent
Staff and food were top quality
Bedroom great size and extremely comfortable. Staff very friendly.
Nothing - all perfect.
Full of character. Comfortable room. The food in the restaurant was amazing
The cooked breakfast was great but very limited breakfast choice/oferring- no fruit, no yoghurt, no cereals, no fruit juice.
I arrived for breakfast at 7am rather than 8am but Gemma (from memory) didn't turn me away - even though she was cleaning and setting up for the day - she kindly made me coffee and let me sit and wait.
Quieter room.
