Reviewed Aug 25, 2025We stayed in this cute traditional wooden house from the 1950s, and it was a wonderful experience. The place is cosy, very clean, and full of authentic charm. It had everything we needed (including a washing machine!) and was fully equipped. The highlights are definitely the sauna and the little library – both perfect spots to relax after a day out. We didn’t use the shed (although also very cosy) as it was raining so much. The surrounding area is lovely as well, very quiet, and we especially recommend the short hike up to Snolkehytte for a super cosy hut and absolutely stunning views. Our host was very attentive– he arranged that we could stay spontaneously and came to meet us on the first day. He showed us around his family home, and made us feel very welcome. Communication was easy throughout our stay, and we enjoyed it so much that we extended it for another night. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful and authentic stay!
We loved the charm of the house (it might not be everyone’s style if you are looking for something more modern) and we have absolutely nothing to complain!

The house is old, it wasn't renovated except for the livingroom. The bedrooms are very basic, non-cozy. The bathroom is in the basement while the bedrooms are on the first floor. Expired foods in the fridge and freezer.

Reviewed Apr 15, 2025Nice house in a secluded place! You can sky, snowshoe, hike. The barn: old, yet very charming; the bonus: the play-room. The house: amazing character. the bonus: the library and sauna in the basement!
Ideal: a toilet upstairs where the bedrooms are. Note that the full bathroom is in the basement.

Reviewed Mar 2, 2025We stayed at this accommodation one night when travelling back from the lofoten towards Tromsø. The house was in the middle of the mountains, with really little light pollution. Even if it was a really cloudy night we could see some Northern lights. The host was polite and reactive in the chat. The house is big, we were only 4 people but it could have hosted bigger groups as well. Nice sauna.
