The Hideaway Tragumna a hidden gem by the sea with outdoor sauna

Great location, house had everything and more.

Beautiful rural property—really felt like we were in the middle of nowhere. The house is spacious, clean, and comfortable for 5, with a charming old farmhouse vibe. Nicely renovated bathroom downstairs. We appreciated the bit of fresh farm milk provided, which was delicious. Beds were comfy. Overall, a peaceful stay, but with a few minor issues.

Some of the pillows were a bit flat.The kitchen is small but functional, and looks like it could do with some renovations with a piece of metal sliding in the gap in the bench cheapened the experience a little, and the bar felt usable, seemed like their own storage area. The upstairs bathroom drain was a bit blocked, and the downstairs bath water didn’t drain fast either. Not quite like the pictures with the paddock out the window being freshly turned over. View of dirt padlocks instead of lush green pastures and cows. And there was no sauna, as advertised, which was why we booked here in the first place. We only saw a sauna tucked away up the corner of the owners area, as we were leaving, so if we were allowed to use it it wasn't made clear. The stones out front are REALLY painful to walk on, a cement slab or pavers at the door would be greatly appreciated.

We had a lovely 2-night stay at The Hideaway Tragumna from 15–17 March. It’s a peaceful spot by the sea, really clean and comfortable, and the outdoor sauna was a highlight. Great location for a quiet coastal break near Tragumna Beach.

The location is stunning - fantastic views and withing walking distance of a great beach and pub. Incredibly comfortable cottage - having a private sauna is amazing!

Wonderful location in West Cork for a relaxing weekend. The hosts were great. Loved the sauna! It's also nice that the place is pet friendly.

Lovely house, well equipped, clean, spacious and great view! Very friendly hosts, easy communication throughout. We were made to feel welcome. There were even treats for the dogs! Donkeys were entertaining too!! We'll definitely be back.

Fantastic stay in a great location! Eoin and Maura are really lovely and the sauna was a nice bonus. Bread, milk, eggs etc also provided which was very handy!! Highly recommend!

Posizione non facile da trovare e alcune centinaia di metri con strada un po' dissestata. Se si ha una macchina non ci sono problemi, con moto e pioggia si rischia di essere un po' isolati.

Walking over the hill to the pub for a bite to eat and a drink was great.

The pictures don't capture the amount of space very well. We were pleasantly surprised.

Very nice cottage. Clean and very comfortable. The kids loved the countryside setting with donkeys in the field beside the house!

The accommodation was perfect with everything we needed for our young family for the weekend including a downstairs bathroom and bedroom which was a big plus for little kids. The location was ideal in a quiet, scenic spot while only a short spin to shops, beaches, villages, towns etc. The hosts were extremely helpful throughout our stay and next door if we needed anything. Would highly recommend for a family break to West Cork.

Excellent location. Walking distance to nearby beach. Breathtaking views. Quiet spot just as we like it. Welcoming owners. Simplicity and West Cork Irish character of the place makes you feel that you are in the right place. Thank you. We will be back.

I really can’t think of anything that I did not like. Maybe candles for the night’s atmosphere and good guitar would be a highlight for us!

Lovely house with great views from upstairs room. A pity we couldn't stay longer. Hosts were sound. They were very helpful and accommodating.

These was our best stay in Ireland. Its on the perfect location (top of the hill) and the view of sunset was something we will remember always. The apartment is more than perfect and the master bedroom will blow your mind :) The 10 min drive village will give you all you are looking for in Ireland. The host is friendly, helpful and a very nice guy. So if you are traveling trough Ireland, dont skip these place....it will give you more than you can imagine.

It was very easy. Maura the owner met us when we arrived. Her directions were very clear and she gave us a tip on a lovely local pub where we had an excellent dinner. It was also brilliant that we could bring our beloved dog. It was very family and pet friendly!

Very nice location with nice view on the hills (and the cows), close to the sea. Very nice house.

The house is located in a rural area about 12 minutes drive from the town. The view is spectacular. The house was clean and comfortable and spacious.

The wifi wasn't satisfactory.

Maura is such a wonderful host! We all really enjoyed staying at the the Hideaway, the house is beautiful and the colour scheme is so soothing. We will definitely come again. The beach is really close by and its a great location to discover the beauties of west Cork!

Truly a hidden gem!! the place was perfect for the 3 of us and a dog. Everything was clean and modern and we had everything that we needed. the beach and local bar was only a 10-12min walk from the property.

This little hideaway in the mountains behind Trag is a beautiful little getaway. It’s newly renovated, bright, and with stunning views. The host is super friendly and helpful, and gave great food recommendations. We’ll be back!
