Central Brussel - steps Grand Place - local vibrant neighbourhood

This apartment is recently redone and has a lot of vendors to it. It is in a popular area, so there is a lot of options right out the apartment area.

Host suggests traveling light, I agree with him. It's at the top of 5 flights of stairs. Thankfully we were traveling carry on only so it was not an issue.

The apartment is very centrally located, in a vibrant neighbourhood with plenty of bars and nightlife that continues until quite late. It was spotlessly clean and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable and independent stay in Brussels. Antonio was a wonderful host -friendly, supportive, forthcoming, and always ready to help with recommendations. A great choice if you want to be right in the heart of the city and enjoy its lively atmosphere.

The property is conveniently located near everything worth seeing. We were right beside the metro and a 5 minute drive to Brussels midi station.

The only issue is that it is on the 5th floor. That being said, it has amazing windows that opened automatically and we could hear the liveliness from down below.

Se escucha un poco el ruido de la calle (mucho menos que abajo), se nota que está insonorizado pero aun así a mí pareja no le dejaba dormir. Es el precio de alojarse en un lugar tan céntrico y bien ubicado, pero merece la pena

Super location and a very nice host.

The location was amazing. In the middle of so much life and yet so quiet at night. Antonio gave me excellent instructions for everything. The living area was large and comfortable.

Around 60 stairs to get up to the apartment, difficult for us, could have been included in the description. I found the strong smell of fresheners in the apartment overpowering. The bathroom was so small it was a joke. We found the apartment cluttered, hot and airless, needed to have the windows open all the time. We moved to another hotel.

Cozy and comfortable with everything a traveller needs.

It would be ideal to have a lift. But we only have small luggage and fit enough to climb the stairs.

El alojamiento está impecablemente equipado, con un cuidado espectacular de todos los detalles. No falta absolutamente nada. El propietario siempre disponible. La limpieza magnifica. Mobiliario muy bonito. La ubicación magnífica, a 5 minutos de todo en Bruselas, pero hay que tener en cuenta que es zona de movida, por lo que las ventanas deben permanecer cerradas a pesar de que el propietario tiene el detalle de dejar tapones para los oídos.

No tiene climatización y los apartamentos que nos dieron son en ático. En verano un calor insoportable, porque los tejados son emplomados. Definitivamente los belgas deben empezar a preocuparse por adaptarse al cambio climático. Quinta planta sin ascensor y escaleras de difícil acceso. Alquilamos dos apartamentos y estaban en portales distintos. El propietario debía habernos avisado porque la convivencia se hizo imposible dado que había que bajar y subir cinco plantas y pasar por la calle para ir de uno a otro. Al alquilarlos "sin cancelación" nos tuvimos que conformar, pero fue el gran agujero negro de nuestro viaje al viajar con personas con problemas de dependencia, unido a la falta de climatización.

The location was excellent being close to attractions, public transport, shopping and vibrant eating vicinity in the heart of the city. Plenty of living space, the kitchen had all you needed to be self sufficient and ample supplies in the cupboard plus milk in the fridge on arrival was a pleasant surprise. Everything was well presented and I loved how there were spare charging cables etc … just in case. Definitely recommend the apartment and Antonio couldn’t have been more helpful, answering all my questions and also providing us with useful tips on transport, sights and food.

A slight inconvenience transporting luggage up the stairs but we were forewarned when booking so were prepared for that. Being right above eating places meant it was a little noisy into the early hours of the evening, however double glazing is a wonderful thing.

The property had everything you could possible want!! Fridge had milk, cupboards we well stocked with everything! Coffee biscuits sweets and more! Bathroom was fully stocked with everything too, plus cleaning products! Cozy lounge, kitchen was well fitted out, small bathroom, small bedroom but plenty big enough for 2 people. The apartment was so spotless! Very lovely. Superb location close to everything!

We were on the third floor! Luggage was a small problem, but only once up and once down with luggage!

Quartier bruyant, il faut l'avoir à l'esprit. La nuit vous avez rarement du calme avant 2h du matin. Mais le propriétaire a pensé à tout, il y a même des bouchons d'oreilles à disposition !

The street below had lots of street cafes which were noisy on the Saturday night. With the windows closed the sound wasn't a problem.

Towels were worn out .Place was very hot…esp apt 5… no air conditioning Stairs very narrow and steep. 4 people above 70 yrs up and down the narrow stairs.. only to get a msg a few days before from the concierge that to travel with small bags as our apt were in 4th and 5th floors. We left after the first night and moved to a hotel.

The location was excellent — we came for the BTS concert, and it was so convenient having everything nearby. All the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay were there: clean, cozy, and well thought out. We’re really grateful to the hosts for their warm welcome and care.

The hotel is located right in the city center, making it easy to reach all the main attractions, restaurants, and shops on foot. The location is definitely its biggest advantage.

Our room was on the 4th floor, and there was no elevator, which made carrying luggage upstairs quite inconvenient. Another major downside was the lack of air conditioning. During the hot weather, the room became extremely warm, making it almost impossible to sleep comfortably at night.

The location was fabulous. An easy walk to everything we wanted to see and do in Brussels. Right outside our door were many cafes and restaurants and while the streets were lively, the apartment was quiet. Also, the apartment was well stocked with anything you could need from toiletries to little snacks.

Propreté irréprochable, de nombreuses attentions veillant élégamment au bien-être des hôtes, appartement spacieux, très mignon et bien placé dans la ville pour tout faire à pied. Hôte extrêmement informatif.

Emplacement extrêmement bruyant en week-end estival (car situé à la rencontre des rues à bars) et ce jusqu'à 7h du matin. Bouchons d'oreilles gentiment mis à disposition, mais franchement c'est insuffisant. À éviter si vous ne profitez pas de l'ambiance nocturne des alentours. Par ailleurs, comme précisé, appartement sous les toits donc sans surprise, il fait chaud malgré les ventilateurs disponibles. Enfin, peut-être serait-il judicieux de proposer un surmatelas pour le canapé-lit (actuellement à considérer vraiment comme un couchage d'appoint occasionnel)

This was a well appointed 1 bedroom apartment with a cool top, oven, microwave, fridge and washed. In the heart of everything, including restaurants, supermarket a and the Royal Quarter of Grand Place. Just perfect!

Nothing! It was the perfect base for us. We stayed 7 days with a 1 day trip to Bruges and a 1 day trip to Gent. The Royal Quarter at Grand Place Metro was perfect for walking and sightseeing.

Très bon contact avec l'hôte qui est très réactif. Appartement très bien situé, a 5 minutes de la Grand-Place, entouré de multiples restaurants, boutiques et lieux de loisir. Wspaniały gospodarz, bardzo kontaktowy. Mieszkanie bardzo dobrze wyposażone, jak w domu - niczego nie brakowało, gospodarz pomyślał o wszystkim. Bardzo dziękujemy!

Niestety lokalizacja nad miejscem z restauracjami nie sprzyja nocnemu odpoczynkowi. Na szczęście dostępne były zatyczki do uszu :)

Full kitchen, additional food stock in the cupboard, sufficient toiletries and washing powder for the washing machine, good drying rack. There was no air conditioning, and the bathroom is very small, but luckily for us it was generally cool in Milan.

The property is centrally located very close to former Brussels Stock exchange and Grand Palace. The place was very clean and extremely well stocked with supplies, snacks and milk. Street noise was relatively low in the bedroom at night. Owner was proactive in contacting me and providing ample check-in instructions and options for activities.

When my wife and I checked into the apartment we realized that we received the wrong room. We booked a deluxe one-bedroom with large rectangular windows, but were placed in a loft on the 5th floor of the building with slanted ceilings (due to being under the roof). When I contacted the owner he told me that he had me listed on the 5th (final) floor of the building and sent me a screenshot of his side of the booking, which looked nothing like mine. He also told me that he previously sent me a message confirm that our room would be at the Penthouse and since I did not object there was nothing he could do. I told him, that living in the attic/loft is not like a Penthouse. I also told him that I could not possibly have booked Apt. 5 since Booking.com does not allow to pick a specific Apartment number. I also sent him a screenshot of my reservation, which he ignored. He told me that he had never had an issue with this before and I was free to walk away from the apartment and find any other place in overbooked Brussels, to which I retorted that I don't have any freedom to do that since that would spend my limited time in Belgium searching for an apartment and ruining the rest of my vacation. In the end I had to complain to Booking.com and send them supporting evidence of the discrepancy between my receipt and my actual residence. Booking agreed that I did not get what I requested and gave me a partial refund on my stay promptly, which I appreciate. Now for the apartment itself. The owner owns the entire building, renting floors 2-5, with 5 being the loft. The building is in a very busy and noisy area of bars and restaurants which keeps on humming until 2-4 AM. The bar next to the building played techno till 2AM. Luckily enough, since we were in a loft the bedroom windows on the roof were pointing away from the bar and despite the noise we were able to get a good night sleep.

All you need for a short stay

We loved the location and the unit was equipped with everything we needed. We really appreciated the grocery essentials that were included and lots of extra snacks in the cupboard.

We are both 72 years old and we found the stairs a daily hard workout and the bedroom was small.

La ubicación, lo bonito, limpieza e infrestructura del departamento.

Para llegar a él hay que subir 90 escalones. Lo cual puede ser limitante para personas con problemas motrices y de salud. También para personas con maletas grandes. En mi caso y de mi pareja, a pesar de ser adultos mayores no fue problema.

Le confort et l'équipement de l'appartement ( du bocal à boules Quies jusqu'à tout le nécessaire pour s'installer sans faire de courses). Jamais vu un tel équipement. Bravo Les conseils d'Antonio et ses réponses immédiates en cas de problèmes.

Vu la localisation de l'appartement ( plein centre, 5 bars tout autour), le bruit est présent toute la soirée et une partie de la nuit. L'escalier en colimaçon jusqu'au 5ème sans ascenseur. Les grosses valises sont à prescrire. Le Wifi pratiquement inexistant. Doit être réparé d'après le propriétaire.

Logement proche de tout en plein cœur du centre de Bruxelles. L’hôte a pensé à tout, l’appartement est complet, on trouve tout ce dont on a besoin.

Nous sommes tombés sur un weekend où il faisait très chaud il manquait d’une climatisation malgré les ventilateurs à notre disposition.

This place is fabulous! Not only it was centrally located and clean but there were lots of plus and extras provided by the owner. Breakfast was almost provided with selection of coffees, milks and tea, granola mix, instant oatmeals packets of noodle soup..little Nutella jar, mini cakes and sweet biscuits! There's slippers and umbrellas which came handy as it was rainy during our stay. Communication was superb and Antonio even provided mini guides and recommendations. There's unlimited supplies of toiletries and other toilet papers!!

Nothing really. There are stairs but not really a problem. If you can do walking tour..those stairs are easy.

Le logement, lumineux et moderne, est très bien situé, à moins de 10 minutes à pied de la Grand Place. Antonio est très réactif et accommodant. Seul petit bémol, pour louer cet appartement il faut être en bonne condition physique car il se trouve au cinquième étage, sans ascenseur. Mais la proximité du centre de Bruxelles en vaut le coût. The location and area are excellent, with cozy and charming cafés and pubs nearby. Antonio was a great host — easy to communicate with and very responsive. He also recommended some great nearby places to eat, which were really good. The flat itself was very cozy, with big windows and plenty of natural light. Totally worth of money.

The flat I booked was on the fifth floor with no elevator (you can book in lower floors too) so keep this in mind if stairs are difficult for you. However, the location, area, host, and facilities compensate for this. Overall, it is still a good choice and good value for money.

De hygiëne en alles wat er moest zijn, was er.

Mooi appartement midden in Brussel, maar de trap naar het appartement is wel een ding net zoals ‘‘s avonds de muziek van de bars/ restaurants.

I have used booking.com for years and I have to say this was the best appointed apartment ever. The host had coffee and tea, creamers, sugar, oil, salt and pepper, and snacks...no other host has made it so easy to relax. You will love the location, easy to see all the sites and lots of restaurants right outside the door.

3rd floor walk up (don't forget, in Europe the first floor is 0) and a small bathroom, but seriously, if you are fit those items aren't an issue. The pluses far outweigh these two items.

The location of this accommodation is unbeatable. It is a ten-minute walk to Grande Place; the metro station is in the square at the end of the block. There are shops and restaurants everywhere. The accommodations themselves were exactly what we needed. The exterior door opens onto a narrow hallway and stairs - lots of stairs. Our unit was on the third floor and had a nice view of the beautiful masonry in Brussels (see pictures). It also had privacy and lots of light. The living room area is a good size, as is the kitchen. We appreciated the coffee and tea that were in the unit. The bedroom is smaller, but it accommodates a queen-size bed and a bit of space to move around. The bathroom is tiny, but I think that is common in Brussels. The beds were comfortable, and the space was clean. What sets these accommodations apart, aside from the great location, is the host. Antonio was on top of everything. He sent us the entry instructions and how to operate the appliances before we checked in. We notified him when we arrived in Brussels, and he reiterated his availability for us to ask questions. He even gave us a list of sights to see and places to eat. This host cares about his guests. I would definitely recommend these accommodations to anyone who is visiting Brussels.

If you have problems with stairs, this isn't a good option. The small bathroom may be a concern for some as well. These are not really negatives for me, but things that a guest should be aware of before booking.

L’appartement était au 5eme étage avec un escalier étroit et pour moi : âge et problème de genou c’était un peu difficile on ne le fait pas plusieurs fois par jour. Malgré cet inconvénient. C’était très bien .

Location, clean, beautiful, has everything like living in your own home, from shampoo, conditioner, to laundry detergent amd softener. Various coffee from brewing to instant coffee....

None. But be prepared to climb steep stairs with heavy luggage. A good workout indeed!

Az utcában több éjjel 1-ig nyitvatartó étterem van, ha kint lehet ülni, akkor nagyon zajosak. Ezt a lakást olyanoknak ajánlanám, akik nem akarnak 1 előtt aludni. A matracok nem voltak kényelmesek.

L'emplacement est super, très central en pleine zone piétonne. Appartement bien insonorisé par rapport à la rue. On entend les pas des gens au dessus (les sols sont en planchers bois) mais ce n'est pas très gênant. Les communs sont très propres, c'est appréciable, l'immeuble est bien entretenu. Il y a un store en plus du rideau épais dans la chambre, donc pour ceux qui aiment dormir dans le noir c'est OK. Nous avons pris un stationnement dans un interparking (sur internet) tout près et c'était pratique.

Il ne faut pas être trop costaud. Pourtant fins, on doit rentrer de biais dans la chambre (peut-être supprimer une table de nuit pour reculer le lit ?) et on ne peut pas se déshabiller porte fermée dans la salle de douche car c'est très exigu mais on ne peut pas tout avoir (la douche est spacieuse). C sont les seuls bémols, l'appartement est très bien équipé, très fonctionnel et les petites attentions vraiment super (lait et café dans le réfrigérateur, petite épicerie et dosettes de senseo). Il y a même des chaussons fournis ! Nous recommandons cet hébergement !

El apartamento tiene todos los detalles que puedas imaginar a nivel de cocina y baño. Nos dejaron cafe, leche, galletas y otras cosas para desayunar. Tele internacional. Muy bien ubicado, a nada de la Bolsa y a unos 5-10 minutos de la Grand Place. Pudimos dejar las maletas tras la hora de salida, facilidad para la entrada. El anfitrion estupendo con muy buena comunicación , lo que compensa los detalles menos positivos.

No hay ascensor, las escaleras son bastante angostas. En el salon se escucha el ruido de fuera ya que hay muchas terrazas debajo. Los suelos son de madera, por lo que se escuchan todos los movimientos del piso de arriba. El baño es muy muy pequeño….
