Nice enough room bed not comforter all abd shower bot that great
As above
Convenient location. Linen and towels clean. Ok for 1 night stay In my opinion not 4 star and overpriced
Room very small. Decor tired and needs refreshing. Carpet needs replacing
Conveniently located for what I required.
A courtyard was mentioned on Booking.com and I thought that the rooms would be located in the courtyard…..no……you find a door wth number 42 on it, with no notice to say that the rooms are inside. 2 keypad devices. One does not work and the other one does! Key in your 4 digit code and push the door….and you are in! Same code opens your room door upstairs.
Right on the High Street with local public parking near by and the cafe underneath
Rooms are a bit cramped for the price so didn’t feel it was good value for money
Good location excellent food and service.
A little outdated and no A/C
Location. Lovely bath towels. Great view. Easy self check in. Free car park.
Small room, tiny shower, adequate for 1 night. Only one threadbare hand towel for two. Only one teaspoon to share for teas and porridge pots. Road noise (room 4) and noise from adjacent rooms showers in the night and at 6.30 am.
Only a 1 night stay but location very good and room very comfortable met all our needs.
N/a
Location, clean, modern interior
The room was far too small , check out time of 10am was ridiculous as was the £20 surcharge for a late check out. The ridiculous back to front procedure of placing a please clean the room sign out before 10 am to receive clean towels, coffee tea and breakfast oat refresh. AI generated responses for customer service that did not make complete sense.
We loved the room and we had a great time in the bistro enjoying both and excellent lunch and a superb supper.
Nothing it was faultless
Nice view from room 3
No parking, village carpark fine but a little walk away
Kozponti elhelyezkedes, praktikus kis szallas.. Volt viz, narancsle, tea, kave, muzli, ezek jol jottek. Az alatta levo fogadoban lehetett atvenni a kulcsot, kesvesek voltak. A fogado reszben jo a kaja.
A szobak picik, a gardrob reszre taferne a takaritas, a taskat legalabb be lehetett tenni, borond mar nem fer be. Atfyos melegvizzel vigyazz, ha mas is kinyitja a csapot kozben, hirtwlen forro lesz.
Great location. Comfortable room. Spotlessly clean.
Room was very hot overnight. Fan provided had extremely bright light which meant we had to choose between being cool or having a bright light shining egg trying to sleep.
The room was clean and everything was working.
My room was up two flights of stairs which could be a problem for some. Morley rooms is apply named as that is all you get a room. I was staying on a Sunday and the Bistro attached to the accommodation was closed for dinner that evening and breakfast the following morning.
Friendly and comfortable
Lovely stay with really welcoming staff. Rooms are above a lovely bistro where the bar and food served are both excellent.
Location was excellent. Staying to see family in nearby Hassocks. The room was fine, comfy bed but en suite was very small! Parking was free in a car park in easy walking distance. We stayed for one night. A bit small for any longer! Steep stairs up to room.
En suite but ok for short stay.
Location for local party
No air con and tiny shower room
Location
Breakfast was late
Everything really
Fire doors close to fast could hurt somebody
Staff were very good. Our room was large Food in bistro excellent
Bed very uncomfortable. TV didn’t work well
Room was clean, linen crisp and good nights sleep
Did not have breakfast
Did not have breakfast so No comments
So well located and convenient for us for visiting family who live close by. Check instructions are very clear and helpful.
Maybe a slightly bigger shower would be great.
Nothing. Was like sleeping in a match box.
Tiny. No comfort. Unclean in places
Everything and the staff
Nothing
Nice and quiet location
All good
Pre arrival information, location, Bistro food and service and parking.
Nothing.
LOADS of really clear practical information ahead of check in, including that there was a free public car park less than a five minute walk away. Text information received and links to an app with all the info we needed was sent on the day including access codes for the door. We werent expecting fresh orange juice and porridge to be left, and more than the single tea bag most places leave! A really nice touch, Also loved big fluffy white towels, USB plug sockets on both sides of the bed and their own personalised toiletries. Pricing for a last minute night away was excellent, and we would definitely stay again. If you are staying, do book in for dinner, it was excellent with lots of local (and seasonal dishes).
My own slight, and it is very slight grumble, is there wasnt a mirror to do my hair in the bedroom, and there weren't any bedside lamps. But that is a minor thing really
Central to Hurst and above excellent bistro
Toilet felt a bit insecure
Not much
Too small Too noisy No facilities You can hear everything Our shower didn’t work Neither did the extraction fan 3 hangers in the wardrobe?
Great central location, decent room with a fantastic view of the South Downs.
Bathroom fan was very noisy and ran for some time after switching the light off, which was a bit annoying last thing at night.
Fabulous room with really thoughtful amenities. Bonus was the bistro which was truly exceptional
Nothing
The restaurant was exceptional with wonderful food and charming staff
The room was very basic with only a couple of sheets of toilet paper provided, very uncomfortable pillows and inadequate blinds in the bathroom
Location ideal. Car parking nearby. Clean
Steep stairs- guests should be advised they’re steep when booking . My husband had so was difficult . Noisy pipes kept us awake . Didn’t manage to sleep properly whilst there .Shower was electric- poor pressure and the hot water kept going cold even when we pulled the cord as advised. Communication was only on message - poor response had to go into the restaurant for more hangars(only 3 for 2 people and 2 nights!) Only 1 roll toilet paper . Very poor for the price. We stay at lots of booking.com properties …this was not one we’d return to …
The location was ideal for us as we are frequent visitors as need to visit a family member
Would have preferred a set of towels each for our booking for two people. We had to share one hand towel and one bath sheet until we mentioned the lack of towels to the the helpful staff down stairs.
Location was so pretty ..little village setting with lots of places to eat and drink ..10 to 15 min drive into Brighton Nice rooms ..basic but clean with a great selection of tea and coffee..juice also plus porridge! Lovely view from back bedroom across rolling countryside Easy access with key codes
Shower is electric so not a good flow A little noisy if bedroom is overlooking road but that's during the day ..quite in the late evenings The bedrooms are above a pub ..so be prepared for restaurant noise ..guests while entering and leaving the restaurant and staff in kitchen late at night All manageable though and quiet time from 11..00pm noise
We’ve stayed here before, so know what to expect. We really like everything about the place except for the stairs
Just the stairs, but we managed fine
Convenient location
Access instructions were unclear resulting in me not being able to access the listing for a number of hours due to the contact phone number I called umpteen times not being answered… After a number of hours of me still unable to enter the property & continuously trying to call the assigned agent, I eventually received a response & apologies for the unacceptable lack of prompt response & was finally resolved
Good location. Nice quiet room.
A few minor issues: The fan in the bathroom wasn’t working. One of the bedside lamps needs attention-there’s a problem with the wall fixing. There was only one toilet roll and no spare.
Location , very clean room and very comfortable bed.
Good location, room was very clean.
The bed was completely slanted, potentially broken? The shower did not work properly it was either ice cold or boiling hot. I would like a refund
Great location and very convenient for restaurants in the village
Bit tired and room was small
Not much
The stairs, the shower, the tv.
Location was perfect for our needs
Room was smaller than anticipated. Water pressure very low...had to move about in the shower to get wet!
Location, space.
Noise of boiler and bed. Covers were noisy and pillows were too hard.
Great location and the restaurant was fab.
Bed was uncomfortable; overlooking high street with ill fitting single-glazed windows meant it was noisy; the radiator wasnt working; there was a collection of electrical appliances in the corner with no explanation - possibly a fan/heater/blower (not temp adjustable ), a possible electric panel heater -propped against wall, not plugged in, feet not attached, tangle of wires/cables hanging from a multi-plug stuck half way up the wall. In summary a potential h&s disaster! Shower was dreadful. Electric shower, set on high power was either scalding hot or freezing cold - with the slightest adjustment to the temp dial. On low power the temp was more constant but the pressure was feeble so impossible to wash hair and difficult to rinse off soap! Shall I continue??? The toilet didn’t flush properly and the wash basin was so small it was impossible not to splash water all over the floor.
Location
From time to time we could hear people’s voices from other rooms. The shower cubicle was rather small and the shower water pressure quite weak
Very clean & well furnished
There was a noise of water running throughout the night which was annoying
Disappointed that the showerhead couldn't be secured to the riser rail meaning that taking a shower was very awkward.
Close to where I needed to be
It was a little to warm in the room & I couldn't work out how to open a window. Other than that it was great
Excellent location, clean, and a comfy bed.
Very small en-suite but did the job.
Very spacious and clean.. nice view also
The heater didn’t work
Selected for location. Small but functional rooms
Someone's NHS prescription drugs left in our room.
Location easy to find very clean
Shower a little small ! Could do with a mirror in the bedroom as well as the bathroom.
Location
Cold on arrival. noisey 11pm untill Unable answer from Huluki to get advice on how to warn up the rooms
Clean and comfortable bed and room . Good location for where I needed Well stocked tea/breakfast tray
Could do with a touch up paint chipped off the desk, walls, toilet seat etc. Hard to open the ensuite door. No additional lock on inside of the door in the room which made me feel a bit uncomfortable
location
room super small
Clean and nicely decorated, it was quiet too
Nothing
Great communication regarding check in and parking etc Nice touch to have the juice and porridge pots in the room. Bistro was lovely too for breakfast!
Nothing
Would have liked a hairdryer.
Location. Clean. Lovely glass of bubbly at the Bistro. Nice staff.
The room was somewhat compact
The self check-in was very easy & meant it didn't matter what time I arrived Comfy bed with private en suite I didn't have breakfast but dinner (& the cocktails) were lovely
Clean room bathroom had a smell of sewage at times no mirror in main room but clean room nice touch coffee juice etc no key needed
No mirror in main room bathroom smelt of sewage at times thought we had booked the room with a bath as priced
Stayed at Morleys before in room 2 which was great but this time I stayed in room 3 which was even better. Very roomy with a lovely garden view, spacious en-suite shower room a very comfortable bed. As always it was beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean and with little extras like fresh orange juice and mineral water.
Love it and can't think of anything negative
Muy buen ratio precio /calidad.
Por los domingos tarde el restaurante/bar está cerrado. Pero por el pueblo si puede encontrar sitios para copas o cenar.
The location was excellent for us. Our room (Room 3) is at the back of the property and it was very quiet. We had a good night's sleep. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast items in the room suited us fine.
There was no hairdryer - but one was advertised. The carpet really needs to be be replaced. Some of the paintwork needs to be spruced up. We were a bit concerned that the key code for the main door was the same as the key code for our room as this implies that all 5 rooms share the same key code. There were too many messages and reminders before our stay.
Location. Cleanliness . Accessibility.
Location for dinner at the Bistro was first class.
Location, quite easy check in.
Convenience.
Need a mirror in the room. Ideally full length. Check the heating timer. It came on at 1am
This property is amazing, we stayed here over 25 years ago and we went back for our anniversary, the location, staff, accommodation was exceptional, we would highly recommend
Everything was ok.The facilities and room layout
It's not a dislike though. I just thought the television should be bigger
Very friendly host, couldn't do more. Would recommend
It was adequate on the first day but we were given no breakfast for our second day, despite sending a message to say there was no breakfast & that room hadn’t been made up
Please see above re breakfast. The room is very cramped
The room was small but comfortable and had everything I needed. The room is self check in and this was a slick process. Nice to have a small breakfast provided in the room (porridge pot and orange juice). Great restaurant just downstairs. Free car park 3 min walk away
Fantastic Bistro with excellent food and wine menu. Nice clean quiet rooms.
The location was in the High Street and very good for restaurants etc Morley Bistro downstairs which was good quality food. It was very clean and had everything required for a pleasant stay.
It wasnt a room with a view but it didnt matter.
I loved staying at Morleys Rooms. It was a lovely, comfortable haven at the end of a very busy tiring day. Easy to follow instructions, free parking close by, lovely location, comfy bed, fluffy towels, lovely extras like fresh orange juice and porridge pots, clean, and tastefully decorated I will definitely be back!
Nothing! Was very happy.
The location is perfect for us for visiting family who live nearby
Clean, comfortable, practical. Also v clear directions on how to find, how to get in etc
Hand basin drain blocked. Some hooks on walls and/or shelves would be useful. Duvet far too hot foe summer - need a thin summer one for this time of year.
Comfortable, clean & great location
compact clean comfort
wash basin didnt drain; no shower mat; no information on local amenities especially breakfast!
Lovely old building on the High St of a very pretty village. The rooms were quite small but well presented and very clean. My room at the back had beautifully views towards the South Downs. The bistro below served good food and had a great garden.
Narrow step stairs to the rooms but to be expected in a property of this age.
Room
Like all .
Lovely room. Lovely location
Very noisy early morning. Shower kept slipping down the pole.
Lovely decor, great food in the restaurant and very friendly staff.
Few issues with shower head and toilet but did not impact our overall stay and I’m sure they will be fixed!
Easy to check in, clean and cosy
Very quiet area and was sent a door code so you don’t have to see anybody to check in.
Bathroom very small, fine for me but could cause issues for other people
