A true hidden gem. Step outside the hotel and you're immediately walking through the oasis, surrounded by rose gardens, palm groves, and ancient kasbah ruins. The rooms—and the entire house—are beautifully designed with great attention to detail. Breakfast was excellent, and the pool was the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring. A special thanks to Kevin, whose adventurous spirit and genuine personality added something extra to our stay. Our conversations with him were among the highlights of the trip. If we return to Morocco, this will definitely be one of our base camps. The Rose Valley, Mgoun, Dades, and Todra are all within easy reach, making it an ideal base for exploring the region.

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful Kasbah. The views overlooking the castle and countryside were wonderful . The rooms were tastefully decorated ,the beds comfy and the toiletries were so divine and locally sourced which added a special touch . Kevin ,our host was truly lovely and went out of his way to make our stay very special.. The food was delicious and the peaceful tranquility of the guest house made our stay even more memorable. I wish I could have stayed more than one night and will definitely return when I venture back to Kalaat M'Gouna in the future . Highly recommend

We loved our stay here. The building is really beautiful, renovated in Moroccon style. We felt at home. Relaxing. We enjoyed dinner on the beautiful terrace with a view on the ruins of Kalaat. Dinner and breakfast were really delicious! The room was very beautiful and comfortable. We had a very warm welcome from the host and had some nice talks. The staff is super friendly. The cats are also very sweet and like to cuddle.

L’emplacement est un atout majeur de ce très joli Riad.De plus les chambres et petites terrasses sont construites de manière à organiser des havres de paix…Très bon accueil de la part de toute l’équipe Le chemin d’accès est en effet un peu raide mais en descendent en première cela ne pose pas de problème..

Il manque quelques petites nattes/paresoleil/parasol pour compléter les terrasses…pas grand chose pour améliorer le confort…

Brigette looked after us exceptionally well. A stunning property and very peaceful with a lovely view from the numerous terraces. Great food and drink and everyone was really looked after us.

Brigitte ist eine ausgesprochen sympathische und freundliche Gastgeberin. Das Personal ist sehr aufmerksam und lustig- allen voran Ismael. Wir fühlten uns sehr wohl. Der Blick von der Terrasse auf die alte Burg ist großartig. Das Frühstück und das Abendessen waren sehr gut. Alles war sehr entspannt.

Die Eigentümerin Brigitte und ihre Mitarbeiter kümmern sich sehr herzlich um die Gäste. Das Hotel ist sehr sehr geschmackvoll renoviert worden und ist sehr toll gelegen mit Blick auf das Tal.

Ein wunderschönes Haus mit einem sehr lieben Gastgeber und einer lieben Gastgeberin. Die Anfahrt ist abenteuerlich, aber auch mit einem normalen Auto machbar.

Przepieknie odrestaurowany stary dom, zupelnie powyżej standardu hoteli w Maroko. PIekny widok. Idealny nicleg w drodze do wawozów Dades I Todra i dalej do Merzouga. Bardzo gościnny gospodarz Kevin i pyszne jedzenie. Bardzo polecamy.

I stayed at this guesthouse in Morocco with my mom and sister, and it was truly special. The place has a gorgeous view and a beautiful pool, and everything feels authentic and thoughtfully designed. We celebrated my mom’s birthday there, and Kevin, the owner, arranged a delicious dinner, a birthday cake, and even invited local musicians. The music and dancing made the night unforgettable, and my mom was incredibly happy. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Thank you, Kevin!

Die Lage war etwas außerhalb des Orts, aber mit der separat gesendeten Beschreibung wunderbar zu finden. Wir wurden super herzlich von Brigitte empfangen und uns wurde alles gezeigt. Die Anlage wurde mit viel Liebe zum Details gebaut und man fühlt sich sofort wohl. Obwohl wir sehr spontan gebucht haben, haben wir sogar noch eine Kleinigkeit zu Essen bekommen abends. Am Morgen konnten wir den wunderbaren Ausblick dann genießen und ein tolles Frühstück.

Bab el Atlas was everything we'd hoped for - a perfect place to stay and explore the Valley of the Roses. Ibrahim was a great host and the charm and decor of the hotel made staying there a joy. Highly recommended.

L’accès est facile en voiture même s’il paraît très pentu，en moto il vaut mieux avoir un train.

We had a wonderful stay at Bab El Atlas, the view on the Kasbah from the terrace is unique, very nice pool, cozy room with autentic vibe but "swiss" level of attention to detail. But most of all, the we really enjoyed the chat with Kevin, who spend most of the evening with us, after a nice dinner on the patio. We regret spending just one "quick" overnight there, but look forward to come back for a longer stay. Highly recommended! Francesca&Andrea

A beautiful place accompanied by the sound of birds, water and amazing views of lush nature contrasting crumbling kasbahs. Great thoughtful food and attention to detail in everything. A special place.

A days drive from Marrakesh through the Rose Valley took us to Bab El Atlas where we stayed for the night. A gem of a place with a view of snow capped mountains in the distance, beautifully decorated rooms with Moroccan Rugs, furniture, the small aesthetic touches all add to the experience. The food was exceptional, a set menu for dinner with delicious lamb and vegetable tagines and a desert, on the terrace, where we had some lovely Moroccan Rose and a super breakfast the next morning with local cheese(Jben), pancakes, a selection of jams and breads. Brigette, the owner , was there during our stay and she was interesting to converse with, warm and hospitable like the staff who are very well trained and they took every opportunity to make our overnight stay memorable.

This is a perfect kasbah with a wonderful host. I think it was our favorite of the whole trip, and I hope fate brings me there again! It’s immaculately restored, extremely cozy, and the views and amenities are perfect.

The property is a true gem! Beautifully renovated in true Moroccan style with all comfort! The outside area with pool is the cherry on the cake! The hosts are beyond welcoming and very knowledgeable about the area. Breakfast and dinner were the best we had during our stay in Morocco! We hope to be back soon!

This place really is a hidden gem! A little oasis in Kalaat M'Gouna and well worth a stay if you are in the area. Kevin and Brigette have gone to great lengths to ensure that every little detail has been attended to. The riad is super clean with all mod cons whilst also in keeping with traditional Moroccan style. The staff were lovely and very accommodating - nothing was a too much to ask. Thank you Kevin for your warm welcome and for sharing your knowledge of the area. We took your suggested route for our onward journey to Zagora and the views were awesome as you described.

The host is super attentive, friendly and supportive. So is the whole staff. Rooms as well as common areas - well planned and charming Pool - good one (though at our stay end of Aril/beg May water was really chilly!) Food was great (breakfast as well as dinner). You can start basic treks to the valley directly from the hotel.

Parking is bit tricky esp with bigger cars (narrow down the hill space). Staff can help navigate though

A stunning hidden Gem in the rose valley. The guest house is something very special and I am so happy I found this place. I’m from the UK and I like my comforts which is hard to find in some places in Morocco, but not here, I felt like a was home, very comfortable especially travelling as a single mother, I felt safe and very happy! The staff were super friendly, they took care of my son and I, especially when I wasn’t feel so good, they took care of my son like family. Kevin is the best host, he really is so kind and very knowledgeable, he makes the best food, I have apple crumble in Morocco! He really takes care of his guest and wants to give them the best experience possible. He staff are the most friendliest and the kindest - biggest hearts. The villa is made so beautifully. You’ll have the best time.

A little slice of paradise a few kilometres out from the town centre of Kalaat MGouna (The valley of the Roses) which is easily accessible using public transport. A tranquil oasis with stunning views of the surrounding area. Plenty of terraces to get away from the bustle of modern life and soak in the picturesque beauty. The accommodation is fantastic, Brigitte and the staff feel more like a family. The food was traditional Moroccan, each meal was exceptional. This is one place we will return to again.

We stayed one night at Bab El Atlas and my first observation was that the pictures do no justice to the time and effort afforded to this remarkable renovation. The decor is very impressive and spotlessly clean. The welcome was very warm. We were offered tea while our passport details were being sorted. The food was the best we have tasted so far, and the fact that you eat dinner on the terrace with the sun going down is just perfect. It's not the easiest to find, and I would definitely suggest using Google Maps or Waze, as these take you to the door. Parking outside. It was that good I tried to change our reservation for the return journey from The desert so we could stay there again, but sadly, we couldn't. The ratings given are accurate; this place is miles apart from anywhere we have stayed. Warm, friendly, clean, beautiful Spot on. Well done

Nested in the middle of the Atlas mountains this small kasbah style B&B is a jewel. Brigitte, the owner, made us feel completely at home. The food was fresh and delicious, specially the Moroccan bread prepared at home. The location is beautiful with an amazing view of the mountains and an old kasbah in front of it. The place was spotless clean. It is worth the small detour.

Everything was fantastic. The structure is beautifully furnished, with strong attention to detail, and has a fantastic view. The staff is lovely and very much available. Kevin gave us some advice on what to do that turned out to be some of the best destinations of our trip. Breakfast is fantastic, and I would also strongly recommend to have dinner there! Absolutely everything about this place is exceptional! If you have the opportunity to stay here, it's a must. The view is absolutely breathtaking, and the property itself exudes beauty and coziness. Our hosts, Kevin and Brigette, were incredibly welcoming and dedicated ample time to provide us with valuable tips and insights into Moroccan culture. Their staffs was so welcoming and helpfull too. We couldn't have made a better choice for our stay in the Roese Valley. It truly felt like the ultimate choice in every way!

This is a beautiful guesthouse and the owners have taken great care to create a stylish and welcoming space. Kevin & Bridgitte and staff gave us a warm reception. We had all our meals on the terrace with the tremendous view of a kasbah ruin - particularly stunning at sunset. The traditional Moroccan food, was superb. Kevin and Bridgitte have huge local knowledge and can advise on anything from routes to travel, hikes to take to buying local produce and carpets. Thanks for a great stay, we hope to be back.

this place feels like a home. everything is top of the line. Morocco looks and modern appliances. this place is great! The hosts are fabulous, I had heat rash, they gave me raw aloe and medicine, they treat me as a family. really appreciate it. definitely highly recommend to friends to come here!

We loved everything about our stay at Bab El Atlas: the location just above the river plantations next to an old kasbah, the quality and good taste of the house renovation, its facilities worthy of a four-star hotel, the cuisine ... and above all the kindness and warmth of Christine and Kevin, the owners. They are passionate about El Kelâat and the rose valley area, resourceful, and very welcoming. They made us feel like old friends after just one day at their maison d'hôtes! We will return soon, with plans to go hiking up the valley from their home base, hopefully with them.

We give Bab El Atlas a perfect score as we really do not see what could be improved even though the maison d'hôtes is a new one. Christine and Kevin were perfect hosts, Ibrahim and Siham the cook always eager to please. Do not change anything!

New Construction! All the comforts of a modern hotel done in meticulous Moroccan style. The owners are a lovely couple from Switzerland that poured their heart and soul into making this hotel into a relaxing , comfortable and luxurious retreat for their guests. We spent two glorious nights at Bab El Atlas and could have easily stayed another 5 nights.Breakfast and dinner were delicious. There's a 15th century kasbah 2 minute walk from the hotel that's fun to explore.
