The breakfast was good, the location was great, the restaurant was great, but the bar staff could probably be a bit more cheerful and not ignore customers, by walking away from the bar when there were customers waiting to be served !!!

Reserve on the tables too early when people can't sit to have a drink .we was in the attic which unfortunately banged my head quite I few times which I had a lump on which made me have headache and feeling unwell for I bit .did say but they just said it's how it is ,with the shape .so should be mind your head signs to help

The breakfast was excellent and the lady serving us was very helpful. The bed was comfortable and overall the room was clean.

The burgers we ordered for dinner could be improved, 6/10. The meat was processed / frozen and for the price, we expected it to be fresh. Daily cleaning of the room could have been cleaned more throughly. Two of the pillow cases had stains on them. There could have been a hand held shower instead of just an overhead.

The King’s Head is well situated in the centre of town and was easy to find. The staff were all friendly and the breakfast included in our stay was fantastic and set us up for the day. We stayed in a family room which was spacious enough for a family of four with a decent sized bathroom. The menu and drinks on offer in the bar/restaurant were fantastic. We would stay here again if we were in the area.

The parking offered at the rear of the hotel is quite small with only approximately five or six spaces. When we arrived there appeared to be one space remaining in front of the bins. I went into the Kings Head to ask if it was ok to block these bins with our car, and was led through the full check in process including breakfast orders and timings. When I returned to park my car, the space had already been taken which was quite frustrating at the time, as it then meant I had to try my luck finding a space on the high street. Although frustrating, this was not an issue, as I moved the car to the car park when I woke the next morning, as by then there were spaces available. We enjoyed dinner on the evening we arrived and the food was fantastic and portion sizes were generous. The dinner service in the evening was a little bit slow, but this didn’t bother us particularly as we were staying upstairs and were in no rush. Overall, these were minor niggles and didn’t spoil our stay, but felt they were worth mentioning.

Unfortunately these days all hotels ect seem to cater more for dog owners than non- dog owners. I have been a dog owner myself in the past and would never take it into an eating area ect. At the Kings Head hotel dogs were allowed in most of the dinning areas except as a sign stated in the lounge area, but this is where breakfast was set up and dogs were let in !!even up at tables. Because we are finding this policy everywhere now it’s highly unlikely we will be using most hotels and other accommodations unless we can get a guarantee of a no dogs policy at the property at least a separate area for dogs.

The food in the hotel was delicious , staff friendly and polite and offered us a free drink due to the errors made whilst they made efforts to speak with booking . Com. Location is spot on. The bedding was immaculate , stain free . Bottled water in the bed room Good car park for bikes etc .. Breakfast was spot on ! Full refund 🙏

Arrived after 8hours travel to find they had issues with the booking they stated I had cancelled however my booking was still live on the app , my friend had booked a double and was given a twin so due to no availability we had to share ! The room itself was outside and up some metal stairs , it was a small twin room and very warm !! The cleanliness of the room was poor we found hair in the plug hole of the bath, grime around the taps , marks on lampshades and dust all over the counter tops etc ( the dust probably comes from the old chimney breast) We just had to laugh at the bad situation . Going up the stairs was fun whilst linen bags were being tossed down ! Gotta love health and safety haha .

The staff here are fantastic very nice, helpful, and attentive. The bed was very comfortable and the location was good. With the breakfast I felt that it was really good value for money. It is a lovely place to stay thanks to the team, it just needs a tiny bit of fine-tuning.

The only downsides were that the room housekeeping could have been a bit sharper, and the Wi-Fi kept dropping out every couple of minutes. Perhaps installing more routers would solve the internet issue.

Lovely Inn. Very clean and very comfortable. We were walking and it was fantastic to have such a comfortable place to return to. Plenty of hot water and good choice of pub food in the evening. Would definitely stay again.

I asked for and received the ground floor accessible room, it was lovely. Great beds, great chairs, a shower chair, beautifully decorated, and an excellent breakfast. Windows opened, there was a desk, a kettle.

The theme of this trip was "terrible wifi" but as I was only there one night I didn't bother making a fuss. Other than that everything was excellent.

Stayed at the Kings Head Inn on the night of 4th July after attending a family wedding nearby. The location is in the middle of Llandovery town centre. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The staff were friendly. We had a lovely breakfast the morning after our stay. I would stay there again and recommend to anyone looking to stay in the Llandovery area.

The staff were lovely. We were part of a group and they were so helpful organising breakfasts and an evening meal.

Cold fresh milk for breakfast. It was a really hot weekend though.

Large family room, we were three friends, tea n coffee with lots of t bags n milk in room plus Brecon bottled water, comfy beds, plenty of towels, good water pressure in shower, easy check in and out, excellent breakfast.

Only two cups in room when three staying, but another given on request.

Location convenient and central. Excellent and spacious room. Useful car park (we were travelling by motorcycle). Good value - especially the thursday steak night.

Very little, save were treated in a very off-hand manner by a lady at reception and on the bar on the thursday evening, which let down an otherwise very good establishment.

I was given a twin room that had recently been decorated / refurbished. It was a really nice comfortable twin room. For the money it was excellent. Cooked breakfast was included in the price and was plentiful. There is a car park at the rear but if that is full, there is plenty of free parking up until 9am.

Breakfast only begins at 8am which could be a little late for those needing an early getaway.

The town is ok, nice countryside.

Breakfast took over around an hour to arrive despite them requiring you to pre order and give a time slot at check in the day before, all other tables had same experience. There is a nice cafe around the corner which we used the second morning despite having free breakfast available. The staff were good but all teenagers trying their best with no support from anyone senior. Fire alarm was set off/ tested at around 0800 on Sunday morning and woke us up. Cleanliness was poor, our room smelt like dog urine and general surfaces and bathroom were not good. On the second night they had a cover act playing loudly until around 11:30, my partner called reception twice after 11 and they were told one more song both times.

Welcoming staff in a authentic local pub with great food (fantastic breakfast), high value, highly recommend

It was a cute country side pub/hotel. Staff were friendly even if some seemed uninterested. Food was great.

Needs renovations. Lamp above the head from the bed was dirty and nearly falling off. Chairs in the breakfast room were dirty. Old party confetti was still left.

Unfortunately it was record breakingly hot that night! But the staff did offer us their massive fan from the bar after we came back down from our oven of a room on the second floor asked for a fan. Our room No.24 on the second floor right at the top of the hotel. We had to carry all our luggage up two flights of stairs then walk into a room hotter than the sun! As I have knee problems my wife had to then walk down two flights of stairs to the bar and then carry a massive heavy fan back up those flights of stairs. I know it was uncomfortably hot ,but making her carry the fan up and down shouldn’t have been necessary. Unfortunately I do like this place, but wot be back.

Historic, center of town, superb staff!!! Very comfortable very nice. Loved the decor, especially the paintings! Breakfast was spectacular! And the young lady in charge of that was very attentive and very accommodating.

Lacking in certain standard amenities, and some appliances (lighting/vanities mirror) were not functioning. The Inn does a thriving pub and restaurant business and this may occupy much of the energy? If this were my establishment, I would perform a Deep Cleaning and Maintenance, room by room. Carpets need steam cleaning, furniture was a bit sticky in places, cosmetic fixes, etc.

Loved everything. Booked very last minute and staff were amazing on reception, so helpful and friendly, courteous and professional. Room was big and faultless. Breakfast was absolutely perfect in every way possible and the town is so lovely, independent shops, cafes, hotels and castle ruins. Well worth a night or two visit. Highly recommend.

Beds were a bit hard but that might just be me.

We were touring West Wales by motorcycle and stayed for two nights. The location, accommodation and facilities were excellent and the steak night especially good value. All round an enjoyable stay and good value for money.

Unfortunately, some of the staff seemed indifferent and disinterested. There was definitely no sense of ‘Welcome’. Perhaps a little more management oversight and staff training required ?

Booked this one as it said parking with no reservation needed but no space at all (including cars double parked) when we arrived so had to park elsewhere. Shower curtain really moldy around the bottom as it sits in the water in the little bathtub so doesn't dry properly. Musician was playing in the pub when we arrived. Our room was directly above, so it was very noisy. Luckily this finished at about 11pm then it was very quiet.

Vriendelijke medewerkers. Ontbijt typisch Engels. Pub ook typische setting. Dicht bij vele prachtige bezienswaardigheden. Kamer was goed en proper. Zeer goede bedden. Het bad was ontspannend na een wandeling. We hebben enorm genoten.

Niet veel :). Als ik toch iets moet zeggen dan zou ik voorstellen voor meer variatie bij het ontbijt.

I was in a room immediately above the bar so it was noisy until closing so no early night. Also no instruction on breakfast so was sat for 10mins outside the breakfast area trying to work out if my drink would be bought to me or I needed to go find where to go.

Spacious double room, comfortable bed, nice that there was a fan in case the weather was hot. Bathroom was clean and fresh. Good choice of breakfast options including gluten free, and the vegetarian cooked breakfast was delicious.

Tiny car park that was already full when we arrived, but there is a public car park nearby, or you can park in the street overnight if you can find a space. When we checked in we had to wait because the room wasn't ready. There is loud music in the pub on a Saturday night so if that's not your thing then it might be better to stay midweek.

Kings Head is a classic and historic pub right in towncentre. The building is very well maintained and the room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Excellent value for money

Booking stated it had free parking. When we arrived however they told us that parking spaces were limited to 4 or 5 with a ‘first come, first serve’ kind of policy. Which isn’t a really nice surprise if you were informed otherwise. Staff was friendly but lacked a bit of warmth or spontaneity you recieve in most pubs. But that was my own personal experience

Car parking was limited in space (thankfully on MCs which made it possible but otherwise we'd have had to park elsewhere). Floors in bedrooms particularly creaky - can't move about quietly.
