We are a family of four (two parents and two children, aged 11 and 13), and we thoroughly enjoyed our four-night stay at Blue Eco Lodge. Harry and Ahidel are wonderful hosts who made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. They were incredibly helpful, providing great recommendations for day trips such as Chichén Itzá, the best cenotes, delicious local restaurants, and reliable taxis. The accommodation itself is fantastic. It’s located in a peaceful setting just a few minutes from Valladolid, making it the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring. The beautiful garden, comfortable beds, warm showers, inviting swimming pool, and delicious breakfast made our stay even more enjoyable. Breakfast was a highlight every morning. Fresh eggs from their own chickens, fruit picked from the garden, homemade jams and fresh fruit juices, together with grilled vegetables, made for a wonderful start to the day. Meeting Harry and Ahidel was one of the highlights of our trip. Their hospitality, kindness, and passion for what they do made our stay truly special. If you’re looking for a peaceful, authentic place to stay while exploring the Yucatán, we wholeheartedly recommend Blue Eco Lodge. Heerlijk paradijsje dicht bij Valladolid. Ideaal als je deze leuke levendige stad wil bezoeken, maar toch in de rust en natuur wil logeren. Op maar minuutjes rijden sta je in het centrum. Harry en Hidel zijn fantastische hosts. Veel tips uit de omgeving. Lekker ontbijt, wasservice, ... kortom een aanrader.

Es war absolut sauber, sehr gepflegt und das Grundstück mit der Lodge ist wunderschön gelegen. Zudem gab es ein super Frühstück. Harry und seine Frau haben sich einfach ganz toll gekümmert und sind auf ihre Gäste sehr gut eingegangen. Wir bekamen schon vor unserer Ankunft via WhatsApp großartige Empfehlungen für Restaurants, später dann für weitere Aktivitäten. Wir haben mehrere ihrer Empfehlungen „getestet“ und es waren allesamt Volltreffer. Einfach nur klasse. Wir sagen Danke und kommen gerne wieder.

Nous avons adoré notre séjour au Blue eco lodge. La chambre est propre et confortable dans un environnement calme, entouré d'un joli jardin à proximité de Valladolid. Nous avons apprécié de pouvoir nous stationner à l'intérieur de la résidence sécurisée. Mais le vrai point fort de cet hébergement, ce sont ses deux adorables propriétaires accueillants, prévenants et qui vous préparent chaque matin un délicieux et copieux petit déjeuner. Ils ont vraiment contribué à ce que notre séjour à Valladolid soit inoubliable et nous les en remercions chaleureusement !

La struttura è immersa in un bel giardino, le camere sono moderne e spaziose, la posizione è ottima per visitare diversi siti Maya e anche a 15 minuti dal centro di Valladolid. Harry, oltre a prepararci ottime colazioni, è stato prodigo di consigli. C’è anche una bella piscina! Consigliatissimo.

Ahidel and Harry were amazing hosts at this friendly hotel. They provided such a personal service, including: info & recommendations about the area and restaurants and also booked 2 wonderful tours with guides. The breakfasts were fantastic and plentiful! Hotel location is very quiet and easy to find, just 10 minutes drive from the centre of Vallodolid.

Great pool, facilities & fabulous host. Couldn’t fault. Harry gave us lots of helpful information about places to go in the area and made us feel very welcome. Great shower, comfy bed and views. Located in beautiful little village with its own cenote where we watched bats coming out from in the evening sun. Perfect.

A very pleasant place, close to many starting points for visits to Valladolid and Chichen Itza. Harry and Ahidel are extremely friendly and give great advice. They booked us a guided tour of Chichen Itza in French and we did a cooking class together (we went to the market that morning to buy the fresh produce needed to prepare the evening meal). We also got to know their two dogs, who are adorable and very well-behaved. And last but not least, the breakfast was simply delicious and all hand made. A huge thank you to Harry for this wonderful time spent in your company.

Es war ein paradiesischer Aufenthalt mit einem mega zuvorkommenden Ehepaar welche sich perfekt um sämtliche Anliegen gekümmert hatten. Die Betten waren mega bequem, das Internet Top und alles sauber und gepflegt. Der Garten ist ein Traum. Auch das Städchen ist mega entspannt und angenehm. In allem war es Perfekt! Sehr gerne wieder.

Great place if you wish to see Valladolid and Central Yucatán. Close to Chitchen Ek Balam Rio Lagartos etc Very nice breakfast to start your day, quiet clean green garden to chill after hours of sightseeing. Owners and their two dogs made our stay truly a home like experience And the beds were very comfy which our family enjoyed a lot!

I personally would appreciate access to some kitchen amenities - knifes plates etc But when asked the owner gave us all we needed so I am finding a needle in a haystack here 🙃

Fantastisch verblijf! Onwijs vriendelijk ontvangst, heerlijke schone kamers met fijne bedden. De eigenaren helpen je met alles wat je wilt weten over de omgeving, en bieden hele mooie tours.

L’hôtel est au calme au milieu d’une végétation luxuriante. Chambre simple mais spacieuse. Lit confortable et fait tous les jours. Piscine un peu à l'ombre mais doit être très agréable par forte chaleur. Petit déjeuner délicieux et complet préparé par les propriétaires Ahidel et Harry qui prennent le temps d’échanger avec vous. Très accueillants et sympathiques, ils sont attentifs à ce que tout se passe bien. Harry transmet avec plaisir toutes ses bonnes adresses. Voiture indispensable (15 min en voiture de Valladolid). En syntĥèse: une alternative au calme pour éviter le bruit de la ville et un accueil "5 étoiles"

Harry and Ahidel were very welcoming from the moment we arrived, we felt at home during the entire stay. They were so helpful with everything, organising a tour to Chichén Itzá, recommending cenotes and restaurants, and even planning our next destination. The kids loved playing with the dogs and making crepes! Thanks for such a wonderful stay, it was a unique experience we won’t forget!

Ahidel en Harry waren geweldige gastheer en gastvrouw. Mooie ruime kamer met heerlijke bedden en douche. Ontbijt was erg goed met vers fruit, eitje en beleg. Heel rustig gelegen buiten het stadje Vallodalid, maar daardoor wel wakker worden met het geluid van de vogeltjes. Vele tips van restaurants en tours via whattsap van Harry ontvangen en privé tour naar Chichen Itza was ook top geregeld door Ahidel. Nogmaals bedankt hiervoor.

Tudo na pousada inspira acolhimento. O quarto é limpo, organizado e bem decorado. Os donos, Ahidel e Harry, são muito gentis e solícitos, sempre buscam dar suporte necessário às nossas demandas, além de terem excelentes dicas de passeio. O café da manhã é muito bom, não é daquelas pousadas que anuncia que tem café da manhã, mas não serve quase nada. A pousada é muito bonita, com muitas árvores e verde ao redor. Nos sentimos em casa.

Nada. Tudo estava em perfeita harmonia. Gostaria de ter ficado mais tempo para desfrutar do acolhimento que tivemos e da tranquilidade que a pousada nos despertou.

Family friendly environment. Beautiful garden. Very safe for kids to explore around. Very quiet at night. Lovely birds singing in the morning. Property owners are extremely hospitable and caring for guests.

Schöne ruhige Anlage mit sehr netten Inhabern. Die beiden sind wirklich sehr bemüht und helfen mit vielen Tipps. Die Kommunikation bei der Anreise war super einfach und detailliert.

Vom Bett aus konnte man z.B. Motmots, Spechte und andere Vögel beobachten, da sehr große Fensterfront von Grün umgeben, vollen Blick ermöglichte. Außerdem gab es im raucherfeindlichen Mexiko ein nicht diskriminierendes Raucherplätzchen. Das Frühstück war exzellent. Prima!

We were a party of 13 and the rooms and space were perfect, very nice and clean, swimming pool in excellent conditions and the host were always friendly and making sure everyone was comfortable. Breakfast was superb with fresh fruit, sourdough eggs and good coffee.

De eigenaren zijn ontzettend meedenkend! Ze hebben een fijne plek gecreeerd als uitvalsbasis voor je verblijf rondom Valladolid. De plek is brandschoon, fijne douche en fijne bedden. We hadden een probleem thuis waardoor we (helaas) wifi nodig hadden, het internet was hier goed voor!

Harry è stato molto simpatico con il suo British humor e ci ha dato diversi consigli sulla zona e anche su altre zone che avremmo visitato successivamente nel nostro viaggio. La camera è confortevole. Abbiamo utilizzato anche una guida per Chichen Itza da loro suggerita

Non mi viene in mente nulla in particolare. La mattina ci si sveglia con un bel concerto di cinguettii. Io me ne sono accorto a mala pena perché dormo con i tappi e mi sveglio presto, ma se avete intenzione di dormire a lungo potreste volervi organizzare

Unser Aufenthalt in der Blue Eco Lodge war richtig schön! Wir haben uns von Anfang an wohl gefühlt, die Gastgeber sind super nett und haben uns tolle Tipps für unsere weitere Reise gegeben. Die beiden Hunde Bruce und Mia sind großartig und wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Piękne otoczenie natury, cisza i spokój, wygodny pokój z wielkimi oknami i pięknym widokiem, czysty basen, przepyszne domowe śniadania dostosowywane do gościu, bardzo gościnni gospodarze którzy doskonale znają wszystkie restauracje, atrakcje turystyczne oraz pomagają w organizacji wypoczynku. I dwa pieski które są wypuszczane tylko jeżeli goście tego chcą i im to nie przeszkadza.

We hebben een fantastische tojd gehad bij deze accomodatie. De goede zorgen van de eigenaren Ahidel en Harry zijn het vermelden zeker waard. Ze doen er alles aan om het de gasten naar de zin te maken. Ook gaf Harry veel tips over de omgeving, wat leuk was om te doen en welke goede restaurants er in de omgeving waren. De excursies die we via hun geboekt hebben naar Chizen Itza en Rio Lagartos waren ook erg leuk Kamer was ook prima, goed bed en fijne kussens en ontbijt was ook erg lekker. Echt een aanrader om daar te verblijven.

Op de accommodatie zelf hebben we niets aan te merken. Het enige is dat je wel een auto moet hebben omdat het ongeveer 7 km van het centrum van Vallalodid ligt.

Le cadre est apaisant, la chambre spacieuse, très propre avec une literie de très bonne qualité. Nous avons bien apprécié le petit-déjeuner mexicain. Merci Ahidel pour votre accueil et vos conseils pour notre séjour au Mexique.

Wat een geweldige plek voor als je wel op korte afstand van alle bijzondere plekjes wilt zitten, maar weg wilt van het toeristische valladolid en echt puur in de natuur en 'in Mexico' wilt verblijven. De lodge bevindt zich middenin de jungle in een super lief klein Mexicaans dorpje waar de tijd stil lijkt te staan. Harry stond ons bij de poort al enthousiast op te wachten en we voelden ons meteen meer dan welkom. Harry en Ahidel hebben ons zo geholpen met adviezen, heerlijke gesprekken en. Elke ochtend een geweldig vers ontbijt en heerlijke versbereide cocktails ( s middags dan 😀) Zoek je een plek even off the gangbare route maar die wel dichtbij de gangbare route ligt, is dit de plek! Wij komen zeker terug! Bedankt Harry en Ahidel!

Helemaal niets. Alles heeft onze verwachtingen overtroffen Het enige waar je wel rekening mee moet houden, is dat een eigen/of huurauto wel een must zijn. Maar dat is alles. En heeft niets met het prachtige plekje te maken. Die liggen nou eenmaal off route :-) het is het 100% waard!

Ahidel and Harry sont des personnes formidables. Ils nous ont très bien accueilli à Blue Eco Lodge, ils ont organisé des excursions très agréables pour nous et nous ont même aidé dans une situation compliquée avec notre location de voiture pendant un accident. Nous sommes restés malheureusement trop peu à Blue Eco Lodge qui était un lieu très sympa.

De hosts zijn helemaal het einde!! Beter dan dit hebben we niet gehad in 4 weken Mexico. Harry heeft een miljoen tips en helpt overal mee en Ahidel maakt heerlijke ontbijtjes en regelt de tours. Onze kinderen mochten pannenkoeken bakken in de keuken met de hosts en er was een super lieve hond die Bruce heet, we hebben hem gepikt sttt..

A Hidden Gem Near Valladolid The Blue Eco Lodge is a small but cozy paradise, made extra comfortable by the amazing hosts, Harry and Ahidel. From restaurant tips to arranging tours, they make everything effortless. The lodge has a warm and welcoming vibe, the rooms are spotless, the beds are wonderfully comfortable, breakfast is delicious, and the cocktails are simply the best I’ve ever had. A perfect place to relax and enjoy every moment.

We LOVED Blue Eco Lodge!! I recommend that everyone stays here when visiting Valladollid. Ayhdel and Harry run a fabulous place which is extremely comfortable, homely and well located. The breakfast is freshly cooked to order with lots of options and home grown fruit juices and jams. Try the mango Jam! They organised some great trips for us to Chitchen Itza and Rio Lagartos. we fell in love with their dogs too. And the icing on the cake were the wonderful watermelon margaritas. What more could we want! it was perfect. thank you! 🙏

Room not too big, but very cozy and clean - especially the bathroom. Bed was very comfortable, Wifi worked ok. Everything was as described, including the location which is a bit outside of the city. Harry was very helpful, and we enjoyed staying in his place.

We had a great time at Eco Blue Lodge. The room was spacious and well equipped; Harry and his wife prepared a delicious breakfast, with home-mane jam, tasty fruit and very nice cakes. Harry is British, so the tea was as it should be ! A special mention for Bruce, their playful dog, that has always a plenty of energy and makes this Lodge unique. There is a very beautiful swimming pool, that we had not enough time to use: but next time...

Both the place and the hosts are outstanding! You feel at home from the moment you enter the property. The hosts Harr and Aihdel helped as so much with recommendations, arranging trips, short notice requests and support in finding a doctor & pharmacy for our sick baby. The place is super cozy and provides a tranquil experience!

There is a small thing worth mentioning just to have the expectations clear: The kitchen in Harry's house is not for common use by guests, even though the Booking.com description and pictures would suggest that. However, Harry helped us out swiftly whenever we needed some equipment to prepare food for our baby.

It’s conveniently located for travelers that plan to move around the east part of Yucatán AREA (Cab fares to downtown are 100 MXP.). At the same time the property exudes an overall tranquile atmosphere, amazing garden with fruit trees, birds singing and even chickens.

Very clean, secure parking, quiet location with a beautiful garden. The room was immaculate, bed very comfortable, shower powerful and plenty of hot water. Harry and Edel (the owners) were very friendly and helpful - Harry kept in touch with useful information even after we moved on from the property and we felt very privileged.

During our 3 nights stay we loved: place's tranquility, Ahidel & Harry (hosts) hospitality, tasty breakfasts (fantastic bread, mandarin juice), super clean room with very comfortable king-size bed. Additionally, Harry arranged for us a hustle-free Chichen Itza personal guide trip and provided a ton of very useful information and recommendations about the local attractions. Overall our experience with Blue Eco Lodge exceeded by far our expectations.

It was a really nice stay. The place was very clean - overall and also there was every day cleaning service. Room was small but comfortable with a nice garden view. Windows had mosquito nets. AC was working good. The free breakfasts are small (bread, jam, butter, fruits and coffee or tea, water, juice) but very delicious - made from local products, juices are freshly prepared. Garden and pool are also very pleasant to walk around - you may meet the two cutest creatures - Bruce and Mia, who made your stay even nicer if you like dogs. The place is run by two good people - Harry and Ahidel - they are very helpful and kind hosts. They helped us to arrange very good guide for Chichen Itza, gave recommendations about restaurants, cenotes etc. They are open to additional, reasonable requests, trying to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

A little fridge and electric kettle in the room would be helpful ;) (however you can use big fridge downstairs in the common space).

Everything! Harry and Ahidel were amazing hosts. They were super-friendly, attentive and always ready to help where needed. Communication was brilliant and Harry was always on call when we needed anything. They packed up breakfast for us on day trips, helped arrange trips, helped us with taxis etc. and just a great couple to chat to. Nothing was too much trouble! The accomodation had everything you could need and was gay friendly. The room and facilities were great, including good showers, A/C, smart TV, laundry service etc. The breakfast was delicious, including the best courgettes ever tasted. Can't recommend the Blue enough!

The accommodation is a little bit out of the way, but Harry and Ahidel always made sure we could get where we wanted to go, with no trouble at all.

What a wonderful place! In a quiet area just 10 minutes out of Valladolid this is a wonderful small resort with pool, bar and restaurant, set around a green garden full of birds, iguanas and squirrels. Harry and Ahidel are the most amazing hosts who make you feel part of their family.

I really enjoyed staying in The Blue Eco Lodge. Owners of the venue are taking care of their guests. Seems they love what they do. Venue is very clean. Breakfast was prepared special for us: fresh bread, butter, jams and fruits. For drink handmade juice and of course coffee/tea. There is a private, closed parking on the venue's area. Got there more than expected.

We spent 2 nights at the Blue Ecolodge and these nights were exceptional. First of all, Ahidel and Harry are very special persons. They are so warm, welcoming and generous, they make you feel like family. They also helped us for planning activities such as a tour at Chichen Itza, a city tour of Valladolid and lots of recommendations around the Yucatan peninsula. The rooms were amazing, super clean, comfortable beds, air conditioning, hot water…all the necessary for comfortable stay. The included breakfast was generous and of high quality. We also had, with extra fees, great holiday dinners and a delicious New Year brunch. The little town where the lodge is situated seemed safe, we went for a morning walk and saw a beautiful old church. It is really close to Valladolid and a good central point for a lot of other activities, like ruins, cenotes and cultural discoveries. Unfortunately, our stay at the Blue was too short and we were really sad to leave this place. We have met wonderful people there and we really had a good time. The Blue Eco Lodge exceeded all my expectations! The lodge is run by a wonderful couple (Harry and Aihdel) who bring warmth and charm to every aspect of the experience. The rooms are spacious, impeccably clean, and beautifully decorated. The location is perfect for exploring nearby cenotes, and the hosts provided excellent recommendations for activities. One of the highlights of my stay was the breakfasts that Harry personally prepared each morning. The meals were fresh, flavorful, and made with love—a truly special start to the day! The tranquil gardens and serene ambiance make it a perfect retreat for anyone seeking relaxation or adventure.

Honestly, everything was superb! If I had to nitpick, I’d say I wished I could have stayed longer to enjoy more of what this incredible lodge has to offer.

What can we say? Everything was great. The lodge is beautiful, secluded, peaceful, clean, super comfortable and very stylish. Ahidel and Harry are lovely hosts. We could have spent more time there as we really felt at home. They made us delicious breakfast and gave us tips of places to visit and eat. 10 min drive from Valladolid center and another 20 min from pyramids and cenotes. Really recommend this place and if we are back in Cancún we definitely will come back and enjoy some days there. Thank you guys.

The location was really nice, just outside of Valladolid in a very quiet off the beaten path neighborhood where we could hear birds, geckos, and frogs! The hosts, Harry and Ahidel, provided us with great ideas and suggestions, not only before we arrived, but even after we left their lovely home. The staff was so sweet and kind- Virgilia’s breakfasts of Mayan cuisine was outstanding, and Harry makes a fabulous breakfast as well. I really enjoyed learning a bit about Oaxacan cuisine in my conversation (show and tell) with Ahidel. The beds are super comfortable and the rooms are immaculate! They are truly charming hosts and clearly know how their craft.

We had the greatest reception we could have, Bruce (the dog) gave us a warm welcome in our arriving. Adeile (the owner) is one of the best host we’ve ever have. This place is very unique. First of all because of the wonderful hosts then because of the beautiful setting and ambience. The close to town location (only 10 - 15 min drive - you need a car or you can take a taxi) and other attractions (of which are there many) makes it an excellent base for exploring the area. I was very impressed by the hospitality of the owners, Ahidel and Harry. The lodge is modern, the rooms are comfortable and clean, the garden well kept (you will love the songbirds and other creatures living in it), the breakfast tasty, the pool refreshing... It's no problem if you speak only English because Harry's roots are in England and his knowledge of Mexico is immense. He gave us so many important information, hints, advises and recommendations so we could correct our itinerary - and for that I am very grateful. We even came back to the Blu despite we haven't planned that before. And when we were leaving we felt like we're leaving our true friends. Ahidel and Harry, we thank you for everything once again!

We enjoyed so very much. The owners of The Blue are so very friendly and helpfully in all things. The Blue is located in a small village. So you don't listen to loud traffic, but to jungle sounds, birds and chickens.

A wonderful experience from start to finish. Immaculately clean, professional and friendly. An oasis of calm, just outside Valladolid, oh and a superb breakfast.

What’s not to like?

Beautiful, tranquil and relaxing property with an awesome garden, hammocks, bar and great pool. Great & comfortable rooms, wonderful breakfast and if you ask they’ll make you the best fresh fruit cocktails/daiquiris poolside.

To visit Chicken Itza the best place to stay is Valladolid and a great place to stay in Valladolid is The Blue Eco Lodge. Englishman Harry and his lovely lady Adihel are calm but efficient hosts. Great breakfast, probably the best bed I’ve ever slept in, the garden is great, the pool is amazing and 2 mornings running I saw Toucans while in the luxurious shower. I could go on but quite simply I give it 11 out of 10.

Nothing, and don’t forget to take their lovely dog for a walk around the lovely village.

The place is gorgeous - surrounded by nature, it's quiet and peaceful. The room is spacious, clean and smells great. Shower pressure is VERY good. Beds and pillows are very comfortable. There's everything you might need: a water fountain in the corridor, coffee/tea in the room, chairs so you can sit and relax. Breakfast is awesome. The hosts are amazing (Harry is a gem!) Thanks again for hosting us!

It's not something I didn't like because I knew it but it's worth saying that you'll need a car to do anything (nowhere to eat around the place for example). A cab will take you to Valladoid for 130 pesos.

Enjoyed the quiet atmosphere and friendly hosts. The accommodations were clean and fresh. The shower had the perfect water pressure, in Mexico this is an important point! The bed, a king, was the exact firmness we sleep on at our personal home. The breakfast ordered to exact specifications, so very rare in Mexico. We love Mexico and this location has become one of our favorite places to stay.

We had a fabulous stay at The Blue, we would have loved to stay more! Everything was wonderful: The calm of the property in the middle of magnificent vegetation, the conviviality of the poolside bar where you can meet at the end of the day to chat with Harry and other travelers were amazing, the gorgeous breakfast in a beautiful environment, the very confortable rooms.

Kind, generous, friendly and incredibly accommodating couple who deserve 10* for every aspect of their accommodation and hospitality. We have 2 boys and Harry even let them tune into a spurs game. It takes quite a lot to please me, so well done to you both or creating stunning comfy rooms, with lovely showers, remembering all the tiny details and going above to help everyone.

We loved everything, fantastic place. Harry is just beyond. Bruce (a wonderful golden retriever) is the real barman! Best breakfast ever, well located. Beautiful surroundings, out of chaos. Real paradise to us. I wish we could find more places like this around. Thank you for everything ;)

Loved staying at this lodge in the jungle. It is located about 10-15 minutes from Valladolid but easy to get in and out of the city. Harry and Ahidel were great hosts and there was a communal space to meet other travellers poolside and at breakfast. The breakfast each morning was amazing and anything we needed they took care of us. Would definitely stay here again if we come back to the area. Valladolid was also an incredible Mexican city to visit.

Exceptional service.

It’s in a small town, which feels really nice and cozy. Also really liked the personalized egg breakfast.

The town (valladolid) is far away, so definitely need a car / taxi.
