Great location. Very quiet and peaceful. Great base for a Mt Agung adventure. Local restaurant (Delicious Kitchen) down the road was excellent. The local D.O.C Cafe was reliable, friendly and cheap with good food.

Mein Aufenthalt im Besakih Homestay & Villa war einfach perfekt. Für den Preis, den ich bezahlt habe, bekommt man hier außergewöhnlich viel Komfort. Das Zimmer war sehr großzügig, ebenso das große Badezimmer. Besonders begeistert hat mich der schöne Balkon mit einem atemberaubenden Blick auf den majestätischen Gunung Agung. Ich habe diese Unterkunft gewählt, um den Gunung Agung zu besteigen, und sie war dafür der ideale Ausgangspunkt. Die gesamte Anlage ist liebevoll gestaltet – eine gelungene Mischung aus traditionellem Bambus-Stil und modernem Komfort. Das Personal war durchweg freundlich, hilfsbereit und herzlich. Zwar gibt es keine Klimaanlage, aber das ist in dieser Höhenlage von etwa 1.000 Metern überhaupt kein Problem. Das Klima ist angenehm kühl, besonders nachts, sodass man hervorragend schlafen kann. Die Aussicht ist spektakulär und die Atmosphäre ruhig, idyllisch und entspannend. Ich kann diese Unterkunft besonders Paaren für die Flitterwochen, Familien für einen erholsamen Urlaub oder Wanderern empfehlen, die den Gunung Agung besteigen möchten. Der Gunung Agung, mit 3.142 Metern der höchste aktive Vulkan Balis, war für mich ein unvergessliches Erlebnis. Zusammen mit diesem wunderbaren Homestay wurde die Reise zu etwas ganz Besonderem. Vielen Dank für die Gastfreundschaft – ich komme gerne wieder! ❤️🏔️🌿

Le personnel à été très réactif à nos demandes et toujours aimable. Nous avons pu avoir un scooter en 10 minutes après notre demande, il y a un restaurant juste à côté qui est très bon. A 1h environ du mont batur et juste à côté du temple de besakih donc très bien situé. Pas de petit déjeuner compris ou autre mais quelques chauffeur gojek qui livre de la nourriture et ils connaissent un restaurant non loin qui peut aussi livrer. Une très belle vue sur la forêt et le mont agung c’est un lieu reposant et calme. Chambre et sanitaire propre, Merci pour leur hospitalité !

Las cabañas son bellas, amplias y confortables. El baño con ducha caliente falta ventilación y el agua queda estancada en el suelo. No hay personal fijo, el propietario solo recibe mensajes y llamadas y envía alguien puntualmente. Asi que el sitio no resultó acogedor. Las vistas al Monte Agung y al barranco son un maravilla que se puede gozar desde el jardín. La cocina compartida es muy básica.

Je suis habitué aux cafards au travail, mais en voir un tomber du plafond de notre chambre et atterrir sur nous, c’est une autre histoire. Le petit ventilateur était impuissant face à la chaleur. Bien que tout cela soit secondaire, ma priorité était mes vêtements. Nous avions demandé une machine à laver, mais au retour de nos vêtements, nous avons découvert que nos t-shirts blancs étaient couverts de taches jaunes, comme s’ils avaient été trempés dans de la javel. Nous avons chacun une paire de t-shirts blancs tachés maintenant.

Near to baisakh temple , next morning it was easy ti reach temple. We enjoyed sun rise , dinner in moon light , peaceful clean and surrounded with greenery and nature ..

La vue est à couper le souffle, la profite (à pieds : 20 min) avec le temple est assez pratique, le lit était confortable et la réactivité (par message) avec l’hôte.

L’odeur dans la salle de bain (forte odeur du chauffe-eau) qui rempli la pièce et manquant d’aération reste (et imprègne les vêtements. La toilette n’était pas du tout stable. Pas de personnel sur place (à la réception). Pas de frigo dans les bungalow mais il y a une cuisine commune.

L'emplacement avec une magnifique vue sur le mont agung! 30 min a pied du site pour faire le temple!

Personne sur place, pas d'accueil, pas de personnel. Une kitchen commune très sale. Logement moyennement propre. Bruyant la nuit! Arnaque Land pour trouver un taxi... Je ne recommande pas

Duschkopf defekt. Internet sehr langsam bis nicht-nutzbar. Personal konnte kein English bzw. 90% der Zeit war kein Personal vor Ort.

Les bungalows sont très mignons, la vue est sublime, les petits villages autour sont très sympas à visiter. L’hôte a été génial, il nous a fait taxi, s’est occupé de notre laundry et de réserver des dîners, très gentil et réactif aux messages et demandes, nous avons vraiment passé un très bon moment, merci encore pour tout !

Some parts of the walkway was slippery because of moss on the concrete.. should be cleaned.

It's great!

The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were helpful. I needed medication but we didn't have transport so a staff member went and got it for me. There's a great restaurant within walking distance, we enjoyed every meal we had there. There's another place that delivers to your room. It's pretty quiet.

The unit was a little stuffy even with a rotating fan. A ceiling fan might be a little better and no pool (which we knew when we booked) for the humid days.

Wonderful landscape view, quiet place, excellent starting point for hiking to Agung mountain 🌞

Inside fan makes air better however air conditioner is definitely needed in wet weather.

Maybe the 2 only points would be the room is hot and there is no AC, just small fan. Kitchen appliances were not enough to cook well.

Superb place up close to Mt Agung with breathtaking views (better than the pictures). Relaxed, tranquil. Jungle in front. Superb huts, in absolut excellent condition and cleanliness. Fantastic price, value!! Friendly, relaxed staff, all runs on trust and clear communication (little booklet with clear prices, loved it). It has a well equipped communal kitchen, so helpful. Free water, tea, coffee. Great internet (but why be online with these views). So well-thought through. Really exceptional. Best to have a scooter & bring some food - as there is not much around. No gojek, grab. There is one good warung (incl. Western food, mainly meat) 4min walk away. Bring extra food (fridge & stove in the kitchen) - unless you have a scooter to explore.

Nähe zu Temple, the view and the really friendly staff! After the temple we rented a car with Bagus and we had a wonderful day driving around. Bagus is really friendly and can speak really good English 😊 Thank you Bagus!

The views in the morning were amazing. It was calm and ideal if you plan to visit Besakih temple early in the morning or have a driver pick you up. Just beware that there are only a few restaurants nearby, not much going on.

Bagus was very helpful as manager and the grounds are kept in good condition. But it's the Views that take away your breath as they are simply Spectacular.

The villas were spacious and comfortable with plenty of room around the double bed and a large bathroom. We loved the sitting areas outside both for sunrises and evening times. The view is stunning and well worth an early wake-up to catch the sunrise behind Mt. Agung. The roosters in the valley make quite an alarm clock! The owners were so friendly and helpful, providing both information, suggestions, and transport.

Nothing not to like, though it's important to know that the area is very rural with few places to go within walking distance.

Peaceful area and great jungle view, away from the crowds. Total silence at night except from the lovely sounds of nature. The morning starts with a very early wake-up call, dogs and roosters will make sure of that. You may want some earplugs :-) We saw one lady when dropping off our bags (before visiting the temple), and never saw anyone else during our stay. We only had contact with the owner via whatsapp, which was perfectly fine for us.

No breakfast included. The floor and bathroom could use some extra cleaning (not sure if mopping with water is actually done).

Comfortable cabins with beautiful views of Mount Augung. Walking distance to Besakih Mother Temple and a great place for organizing trips up Mount Augung Volcano.

Even though there are several places for having meals at walking distance, the selection of food is quite limited. Luckily the place has a small shared kitchenette with a stove and fridge for use by customers, and you might consider buying and bringing in some supplies for preparing some meals yourself.

Besahki has a beautiful strong energy due to Mount Argung. And the property has a beautiful garden that overlooks the valley and good view on the sacred mountain. Including comfy outside chairs for a star gazing evening experience ✨

The property overlooks a valley and has Mt Agung as a backdrop. The Besakih Temple is 2.5 km up the road and guides are readily available to take you to the summit of Mt Agung if you are fit enough. There are a few places nearby that serve good, cheap meals. The Homestay has mopeds to rent if you wish to explore waterfalls and markets. Besakih Homestay and Villa is peaceful and very comfortable. I definitely recommend it.

Beautiful and clean villas, the shared kitchen is very handy with a fridge, stove, mini oven, drinking water, tea and coffee. We use it to make breakfast and everything worked perfectly. Good place to base to do Agung, Besakhi temple and near waterfalls. Bagus is very helpful with information or questions. Thank you 😊

The view from this place is unbeatable, located in Besaki, it's the ideal place to stay if you want to visit the Mother Temple as it's a 10-minute walk away. Bagus (the owner) is always very friendly and offers to take you to the temple entrance. It's a small hotel but the rooms are very comfortable and cozy. There is no restaurant, but they offer breakfast and there's a kitchen where guests can cook if they wish. A 4-minute walk from the hotel, there's a restaurant that offers a varied and very affordable menu. This place is recommended for those who enjoy a quieter environment with fewer tourists. Bagus and his father are very kind; I had a last-minute transportation problem to the airport, and he offered to take me at a more than fair price, and I managed to arrive on time for my flight.

I have no negative comments.

The views were stunning of the mountains and jungle area. The sun rises over the mountain which was beautiful. It is good value for money and the staff were super helpful and friendly. They managed to sort scooters out within 10 minutes and sorted a transfer to our next destination with no issues. Netflix was a great touch in the rooms, it brought a homely feel to it. Lovely family run business and would definitely return if we are ever back in the area!

There is nothing we didn’t like about our stay. The only constructive criticism was more toilet paper in the rooms and more cooking facilities in the kitchen area.

Beautiful view straight from cottage. There was a very tasty restaurant within a 3 minute walk. The host was incredibly nice and went out of his way to accommodate us. I couldn’t recommend this place more, it was so peaceful.

Everything, nice spacious cottages, not too many of them so little people. Amazing view! Helpful and nice host. A small food place near by with great cheap food. Very close to mother temple to go early in the morning when there is no crowds. Also got to rent a scooter from the owner and he took us to Amed himself.

All the facilities are clean, neatly packed, and well kept and the environment still offers so much fresh air. Strong wifi. It’s very close to The Great Besakih Temple. Kitchen tools are all set : microwave, cooking tools, refrigerator, even you can ask the owner for cooking oil

My staying for one day. I would have love to stay for at least another night.

Quiet, beautiful views. Very soft bedding, comfortable bed, nice clean towels. The views were amazing! Outdoor space to have breakfast (chairs, table), covered table with benches. Mini-stove and kettle, bottled water, tea/coffee/sugar. I also highly recommend Deliciouskitchen2020 across the street. It isn't just pizza, we tried donuts and rice/chicken dishes and both were amazing. Get the donuts the night before (12 mini are only 38K) if you would like them for breakfast at the place opens at 11 am.

I couldn't find my towel at first; it was on a shelf under TV, dark color, so not easily visible. My friends had theirs on a bed (heart shape) - much easier to locate:) We were woken up around 7am by several men having a loud conversation outside - not sure if these were perhaps neighbors/workers? The chickens are active much earlier, but they are everywhere in Bali so you stop noticing after the second day.

We stayed two nights at Besakih and we loved the place ! The rooms are comfortable and beautiful. The garden with a table and sun-chairs is nice for chilling and enjoying the view on mount Agung. There is a little kitchen with a fridge and a microwave. The location is great: the homestay is about 20 mn by foot from the temple and there is a great restaurant with Indonesian and continental 100m from the homestay. People are also very nice and helpful.

Spacious bungalow, nice garden to sit with beautiful view on Mount Agung. Friendly staff. Bagus even brought me to Besakih temple on his scooter. Very good value for money.

Lots of massive spiders and the porch is covered. Seems to be lots of ants in the other area too. If no problem with spiders then this place would be an amazing peaceful stay.

The place is amazing , it was super clean , comfy , safe , cozy and the view is amazing . The guy responsible on the place was super cool was always there to help and respond to our questions . Arranged laundry pickup and delivery , food recommendations, attractions to visit , and we had good chat . It felt like staying at home . Thanks for the delightful stay you offered . We will be back for sure anytime we are passing by the area.

I arrived the day before the Agung trekking to drop off my bags. Even tough I was not checked in yet, they gave me a separate room to rest before the tough night hike. So so kind of them. Also after the trekking they prepared my room and made sure that my heavy backpack was in there already. This was great, since I couldn’t carry it myself anymore hehe. Thank you so much for your kindness! I recommend this place.

* This hotel has the best view of Mt. Agung compared to other hotels nearby. * Located very close to Besakih Temple. It is only a 2-minute drive to reach the temple and is located at a quiet spot (100 meters from the main road so we don't hear any vehicles passing by the main road which is very nice since a lot of locals drive noisy motorcycles). * Spacious room. * Parking space for cars which is a good point for those who drive their cars. * Shared kitchen with complete utilities (stove, water gallon, oven, sink, refrigerator). Perfect! * A lawn that is good for children's activities (I traveled with 3 children and the lawn is a plus). Also wish that they provide more security barriers since the property is at the edge of a deep valley.

* The breakfast menu is overpriced. A fried rice/fried noodle/omelet is priced at IDR 50k per selection. With the taste, quality, and quantity, I feel it is more convenient to be priced around IDR 30k. * No shampoo in the bathroom. * With a rate of IDR 300k per room per night (room only without breakfast), I feel they should provide a smart TV and air conditioning in the room (daytime is quite hot). * Night is cold, and the blanket is not warm enough. I would suggest they provide an electric blanket warmer on the bed and an increase in room rate will be justified. * Would be perfect if they had a small heated pool which they don't have. * Beware of bees!!! There are a lot of swarming bees in the hotel. Fortunately, I always prepare myself with a big can of insect spray whenever I travel in my car since I go with kids to anticipate flies, mosquitos, and other insects. But bees, unexpectedly I have to deal with this, and I sprayed the entire can and killed so many of them. * The hot shower only lasted for a few minutes. Overall, this property is very beautiful but still has a lot of things to grow.

Really nice clean rooms. Amazing bed. Slept like at home. Nice views included. Just a small aircon but didn't sweat or whatever . So it's alright . Worth a visit
