We absolutely loved our stay here! The staff were amazing and very friendly, offering fruit and tea everyday. They also offered a number of massages and other beauty treatments. The rooms, pool area and terrace were beautiful, which is why we spent most of our 3 days in ninh binh at the hotel. When we did venture out, we rented the hotel’s bicycles. I highly recommend to stay here, great value for money!
Loved it all!
Family is amazing and very kind, super nice quiet area only a 5 minute bike ride from the center
Wonderful homestay just outside the main town of Tam Coc with clean, spacious rooms and a very friendly host family. Massage and nail salon on site as well as bicycle and moped rental for a very fair price. Cannot stress enough how accommodating and kind the family running this are. 24/7 check in.
A bit of a walk to the town itself, but a very scenic walk so not really a problem
Mooie omgeving, lieve familie, fietsen, scooters en taxi makkelijk en voor goede prijs geregeld via de Homestay. Ook massage hier geboekt.
Homestay is hosted by a very sweet and warm family. Felt welcome from the moment I arrived and that’s priceless. I got sick after checking out, but they immediately arranged a room when I asked. Again, thank you so much. Furthermore, the room has everything you need for a pleasant and budget-friendly stay. Last, the homestay is located just outside of busy Tam Coc. I love a busy city but the center of Tam Coc sometimes felt suffocating. So I was very happy to have a homestay in a more quiet area.
The family which runs this place is very friendly. Also the pool was quite cold, which was good because we could cool down
Staff super friendly and location is great only 20 min walk to the center. The room was big and comfortable. They also have a place to do massage and nails, I did mine and I was very dry happy with the result.
The use of the pool, the family with a young baby, lovely to see.... Very helpful as regards local trips..
Everything was great
Chủ nhà siêu thân thiện, phòng rất thơm và sạch sẽ. Có đủ từ nước lọc + xà phòng tắm + bàn chải đánh răng. Có ban công rất chill và bể bơi nữa. 🫶 Very very good
Chỗ nghỉ thoải mái, mọi người thân thiện, vui vẻ
Pool, och supertrevlig personal
Sạch sẽ, chủ home thân thiện, nhiệt tình.
3 tầng mới có 1 chiếc máy sấy :)
clean friendly great value for money would definetly stay again
Very comfortable and clean place! Good location. Very friendly and helpful staff. They even drove us to tours and even to Hanoi! They also had massage services, which were excellent. Very grateful.
Very clean, modern and spacious within the rooms. Excellent value for money.
The only thing that could be said as a negative is the location but it’s only 15 minutes out of the main area.
The family who runs the place is SO lovely. If you come, as a foreigner, with an open heart, you will see that, behind the somewhat rough first impression, they are generous and warm people. The breakfast is local: com chien (fried rice) and sometimes, eggs with bread. With tea and fruits. The room is really spacious, the bed is SO comfortable (good mattress). The bathroom is good, with hot water. The small village and surroundings are really quiet. You can walk to Tam Coc, it's about 20min. The family also rents bikes and motorbikes. Good experience, I recommend!
The only small thing that could be improved would be more furniture in the bedroom (a bigger table or a shelf to put things on).
Nice location.
Loud karaoke till 1am. It was a tuesday. Breakfast was just fried rice and made me sick.
Comfortable and clean bedrooms.
Unfriendly staff, it seems customer service is at the bottom of their list of priorities. The welcome was poor, giving us no information on arrival e.g. breakfast times (we had to guess). Bike rental. We rented two bikes at 60k each (not the cheapest in town) as it was convenient at the homestay to help us get into town quickly. The bikes are barely rideable (not very safe) and not maintained but they work and can get you from A to B. We sadly punctured a tyre whilst out and were provided with no repairs or information on what to do if this happened, we messaged the homestay to ask for help but did not hear back from they for over 30minutes so started to make our way back with the puncture. When we got back to the homestay we were greeted with frustrated Vietnamese and accused of ‘breaking the bike’ - all it needed was a new inner tube and some air which we could have fixed it with, but they did not even keep spare inner tubes. Therefore they demanded money for a new bike/ tyre or innertube - which we refused to pay as it was not broken. It seems they wait for something to ‘break’ and prey on tourists to pay to fix them. We paid for our nights booked and bikes rented and proceeded to leave, only for the staff to attempt to physically barricade us into the property, once we broke free and into the street, we got followed down the street by the main man on his motorbike filming us and conveniently now able to speak english saying ‘pay for bicycle’. In short, do not rent bikes from here and i also wouldn’t rent a scooter after this ordeal all over a puncture! The service and treatment towards paying guests is awful and I would not recommend this place to anybody, there are much nicer places closer to town and better places to rent better bikes.
Nothing
The worst experience in Vietnam so far. I was surpised because generally the people in the homestays are very friendly. The first day, they give us a room where the sheets were clearly not cleaned. They had a strong smell of sweat and there was lipstick on a pillow. The last day they wanted us to check out at 11:00 even if it was clearly mentioned that the check out was until 12:00. And when we were trying to book a taxi to reach the bus station with a big suitcase, they didn’t help us at all and simply told us to walk and continued having dinner.
The breakfast was not good Don’t try the spa
This was a great stay. The location is out of the main centre, (15-20 mins walk) which can be both positive and negative. It was quiet but a bugger if you want to head back for a while. There is bikes for rent. Room was great, nice hot water and really comfy beds. Staff don't speak English, just use google translate. No walk in rates, they make you book using booking.com breaky was small but totally fine. They swap between fried rice and scrambled eggs.
We had a very nice stay here! The family was super kind and could provide us with everything: motorbike, bicycle and also massage. By the way the best massage we had in Vietnam!! The rooms were nice and big. 5 minute bike ride from the centre. :)
The conditions of the room were good. It was warm even though it was not too warm around at that time. Hot water, quite good bathroom.
Very basic breakfast, there were two toasts, two pieces of ham and few pieces of cucumber. Could have been better at that. The location it is not bad but definitelly not in the city center, be careful if you do not have a scooter or a car rented. But it is quiet on the other hand.
Clean, tidy, comfy room. Spacious shower. Very well kept property. Absolute value for money. Has a pool (didn’t use) and a bit of a roof terrace which was night to sit outside. Was a little way out of town, but that suited us. Just a few min taxi (£1) or 20 min walk to Tam Coc. Breakfast was rice only, but was included in the cost.
Can’t think of anything!
Good size of room
Language barrier
It is located away from the busy town centre.
Breakfast was disappointing. They gave us a small portion of fried rice both days and with no coffee. We went out for dinner one night and when we went back we found the front gate locked.
We had an amazing stay at Yen Nhi, the couple who own the homestay are so kind and helpful and go above and beyond, even making us a meal when we arrived later in the evening. Their son was also so helpful and took us to the ancient capital in the evening and waited for us to take us back. The homestay is in a great location close to tam coc but far enough away to enjoy some peace and quiet. Such good value for money and highly recommend! We'll be back :)
The pool was very cool! The room was clean It was not too fas away from the center
We had never vefor or afterwards such a poor breakfast. Ao guys, if you don't like to offer a breakfast, just don't do it! Not even a coffee!! The mattress was in plastic! When you moved in bed you heard and felt like lying on a blastic back. They spoke no word English, only hello. Since the could not speak English the just did not speak with us, only to offer always as possible Taxi service or motorscooter to rent Even if we didn't want to rent a motorscooter it was afterwards on the bill
Room was very good and fresh. Breakfast is tasty however a little small according to me. Pool is amazing and staff is super friendly. Love them.
Very nice and big room with everything you need in a quite area of Ninh Binh. The family owning the place ist also very nice and kind. You can also rent a bike or a bicycle there, which is a bit more expensive than in the city but still fine, as you dont have the hustle of returning. The home stay is around 15 min walk from the city center.
There was no warm water in the shower and the bed sheets had some stains on them. Also the owners mostly do not speak English, so you have to communicate with translator or something. But all no deal breaker honestly, especially for the price.
Host was very supportive and he helped us to carry the luggages to the first floor and also when we checked out he helped us to bring it down. Facilities were amazing and for the price this is a brilliant stay.
It's little distance from the city and hard for the taxi drivers and grab to find the location on the Google map. Hotel provide transportation but it's expensive .
lovely people and very clean. asked for a kettle to make tea as and when we liked. no problem for them. nice breakfast of eggs or rice and secure parking for the motorbike.
nothing to dislike
We had a comfortable stay in this clean guesthouse. The rooms were large and there was a balcony upstairs which we enjoyed. This is a good deal, including both breakfast and a swimming pool. We enjoyed being here. It is always good to be in a local neighbourhood but it does mean a walk or cycle into town!
The family were very friendly and welcoming. The rooms were so clean and comfortable. We actually had to stay inside for 24 hours due to typhoon yagi but the rooms were very spacious and bright so it was the perfect place to be stuck inside! We stayed an extra few nights last minute and it wasn’t a problem!
We forgot some clothes in the bathroom, we contacted them and they sent them to us by mail. This was a nice gesture that not everyone is used to
Cheap, nice location and friendly staff
Room was very humid, and cleaning was not up to standard.
Everything perfect!
Not in the village, so transport with a big bus is impossible. For the last 1.5 km or so you will need private transport or pick up. Hosts are very helpfull. Situated near the rice fields and karst mountains. We rented motorbikes via the Homestay for two days to cruise to the pagoda, Trang An boat, caves, restaurants and finally to the bus station.
All was good. Comfortable, clean, staff is friendly, good breakfast. Also you can rent de bike there for a good price.
Breakfast was very good and location also
NA
Location was nice just out of town and beautiful bike ride. Travelling w 2 teens meant the pool came in handy and good air conditioning.
Bathroom could be cleaner. Bike rental was very high price but accom was cheap.
Pool amazing, pictures don’t do it justice Hosts went above and beyond- giving us taxi service etc Room massive and really comfy
Nothing I didn’t like!
Is a family Homestay super friendly and welcoming and they help you with everything. Is clean, the breakfast is simple but tasty and the pool is amazing. They rent bikes for a good price and even though is not in the center is super close and is quieter so a nice place to relax.
Amazing family running the homestay. We arrived at 3.30AM and they checked us in straight away for a minimal fee. The lady was always giving us things, edamame, water and other foods. I had a virtual job interview, so they let me use their steamer for my shirt. Brilliant stay.
Rooms are clean, comfortable and spacios, bathroom also. Its a family owned homestay and even though they didnt speak english well they were very accommodating and helpful. They went out of their way to help us with anything we needed. You can rent bicycles from them since the homestay is a little bit outside of the town. I enjoyed my stay there and recommend it.
The place is nice and clean. The rooms are big. Internet works good. They rent bikes (60.000VND) and motorbikes for 125.000 VND. Breakfast is good. Is a family business and although they don’t speak any English they are eager to help (you will need google translate). The neighborhood is quiet and with a nice local vibe, just 25 minutes walking to the town. They have a small restaurant, you can eat there tasty and cheap. Very good value for money. Recommended
Family ran homestay, they are all very nice and helpful, will go out of their way to help you out. We rented bicycles from them and were very satisfied.
Everything
Nothing. Was great
Amazing bed, location, pool, shower and everything.
The location was nice, close to the town but out of the way of the very busy street. Bikes could be hired and the cycle in was only a few minutes. For the price, this is good value
We had a few issues with the cleanliness - the bed sheets had stains all over and one of the towels didn't smell clean. The bathroom unfortunately also smelt strongly of drains, I know the plumbing can be bad but this was quite unpleasant. We had laundry done which was quite expensive and returned to us still damp. The room also smelt like damp when the fans / Aircon weren't on
Nice room, modern - looks like it is newly built. Good bed, window, AC, bathroom, electrical socket, clothes closet etc. Also, it's more like a homestay than other 'homestays'. Friendly family, communication with son worked out ok. No hidden extras, as mentioned in other reviews - all went well. There's a small shared balcony and an outside co.munal eating area by the small swimming pool (which i never used). There is a menu, so it looks like they do offer evening meals. Considering the quiet location and good price, it has to be a rare ten from me.
A pleasant family homestay with big clean room in a quiet area! We arrive at 4.30 in the morning and they give us a chance to rest in the livingroom and they did their best to make the room ready as.quick as possible!you can rent scooter and bicycle! We had a great Time there
Really quiet place, easy access if you have a motorbike. The pool is nice and the breakfast is very good.
Great value for money. Everything was perfect. Super comfortable mattresses, quite rare to find in Vietnam..
spacious room, very big bed and the hosts were nice! you can rent scooters and the hosts were kind enough to lend us the scotter for the night as we only arrived at that time good shower with hot water and the room had enough blankets for the cold nice breakfast bed sheets were not clean, but after talking with the hosts they apologized and brought clean ones!! so all figured out overall would stay again and recommend
Big and clean room. The location is calm not crowded. Good breakfast👍
Hosts were lovely. Made us breakfast every morning and arranged moped rental. Always checked in on us when we crossed paths to make sure everything was okay.
Staff were lovely and helpful, let us in very early in the morning after our night bus and were happy to show us to our room, very helpful and friendly. Comfy beds and warm showers, good location about 25 mins walk from town so we got a bike but not entirely necessary.
Nice huge room. Fan and AC available. Nice view from the windows.
Basic breakfast, scrambled eggs with 2 slices of toast bread and few slices of vegetables.
Very friendly and supportive owners of the homestay. Communication works via translator app, but was never an issue at all. Got invited for a beer as a welcome. :) Also the rental of bikes and a roller is possible
Our stay in Yen Nhi Homestay was fantastic!! They were terrific hosts, super caring. The room was nice and very clean. They also provide motorbike rental and taxi service as well as laundry service. All in all, a very nice and smiley family!
The location is so beautiful next to the rice fields and montagnes. The place is really comfy and clean. We were really well welcome at their home and it was fun to try to understand each other
