The hostel is very cosy and in a great location close to town and across the road from a grocery store. Our room/bed was very comfortable, and it was great being able to make use of the kitchen to cook meals. We visited in low season and had the whole place to ourselves which was so peaceful. Highly recommend

Bastantes restaurantes cerca, una panadería deliciosa para comprar fiambre para las excursiones. Sandra fue super amable al llevarme al Aeropuerto al no poder conseguir taxi. Un gesto increíble!

Reviewed May 24, 2026Everything was perfect, the hostel is beautiful and decorated with great taste, every need is catered for, from the cookware and utensils in the kitchen, to cotton buds and hairdryer in the bathroom. Our host was lovely and very accommodating, and didn't hesitate to come late at night to help us turn the heater on. It was low season so we had the hostel to ourselves. Very centric location too. Thanks again for an amazing stay!

버스터미널과 거리가 있어요. 위치를 사전에 확인하지 못한 제 잘못이 있지만 캐리어 끌고 가기 너무 힘들었어요

Reviewed Apr 19, 2026Virkelig pengene værd! Det er et småt hyggeligt hostel. Køkkenet er godt med diverse redskaber. Toiletterne med badeværelse er også gode. Og soveværelserne er hvad du har brug for.
Der var nogle gæster der ikke vaskede op efter sig selv i køkkenet, så det var lidt irriterende, men ikke opholdets skyld. Vi var ikke så mange så det var fedt at have stedet for sig selv, men jeg kunne forstille mig at hvis det var udsolgt ville køkkenet blive lidt småt og toiletterne blive få. Dog ikke et problem for os, fordi vi ikke har særligt mange. Vores værelse havde også dårligt isolering så varmen røg hurtigt væk, så man skal virkelig have radiatoreren tændt hele tiden.

Todo lo q uno puede necesitar .. súper amables las anfitrionas , para cada consulta que le hicimos nos guiaron y ayudaron. Sin duda volveré .

Reviewed Feb 25, 2026Hermoso jardín para tomar unos mates y respirar aire puro. Si bien es zona céntrica, no se escucha ruido, así que es muy tranquilo. Buenísimo el pack desayuno ya que nos fuimos de excursión tempranito y lo llevamos de vianda.

Reviewed Feb 24, 2026Se siente como quedarte en la casa de un amigo, me quedé solo en una habitación de dos camas, pero estas eran muy pequeñas como de una plaza cada una. Mido 1,70cm y quedé muy corto. Me gustó mucho el recibimiento de Patricio y Sandra, ambos muy amables. El wifi es muy bueno, no hay problema con ello. Muy cercano al centro y negocios para comprar 24/7.
Las camas eran muy pequeñas, no tenían conexión de enchufes universales y se escuchaban los ruidos fuertes en las otras piezas.

早餐没有炉火，也没有电磁炉，只能用火柴起火。但是如果外出就餐，也无所谓。如果非高峰期来还不错，高峰期居住如果人太多，会比较吵闹

Reviewed Jan 1, 2026The room was very new, clean, and comfortable. We had the one queen bed with a bunk bed for four people and it works perfectly fine. The shared bathroom was spacious and clean. We also love the common area they offered with a lot of seatings and the kitchen. The location was super nice since it’s very close to the Main Street but also close to the lake and a walk to and from the hostel was very nice. If I were to be back in El Calafate, I would definitely stay at this place again.
Compared to my other hostels in the trip, Aonikenk was definitely one of the best ones. The only complain would be their communication about the breakfast since I did not notice until the last day of my stay. Apart from that, the place was really nice and comfortable, worth the value.

Reviewed Dec 28, 2025Habitaciones minimalistas, pero muy cómodas y espaciosas. Labavos grandes, limpios, y muy bien equipados. Almuerzo preparado en la nevera es ideal para organizarte a tu ritmo. Ubicación genial. Al lado de la calle principal de El Calafate, cerca de buenos bares y restaurantes.
Todas las interacciones con el personal son por chat, pero responden al momento.

The breakfast was extremely basic. I am wondering if they changed it recently as someone earlier said it was excellent. It is a boxed breakfast with prices of bread wrapped in plastic juice box coffee tea granola bar and an apple. The doors are not very sound proof so you can hear when people Come And go to the bathroom and leave.

Reviewed Oct 21, 2025A localização é boa, fica próximo à rua principal, tem uma vista linda da janela do quarto 5, o quarto tinha aquecedor, a cozinha tinha vários utensílios pra usar, a estrutura é simples, mas nova. El calafate é bem seguro, fui solo e não tive medo, não tem drogados ou bebados nas ruas.
Não tem serviço de limpeza no Hostal, a gente mesmo tem que tirar papéis de banheiro e lixo da cozinha, o banheiro vai ficando sujo ao longo dos dias, o café da manhã é todo em sistema de saches desde o café a barra de cereais. Vc só vê o dono no primeiro dia pra pagar, eles não vão lá.

Reviewed Sep 2, 2025Muy buena atención por parte de los propietarios que nos facilitaron el transporte desde el aeropuerto. Nos recogió Anna, la cual nos dió consejos imprescindibles para nuestra estancia y fue una guía espectacular el día siguiente como guía en las pasarelas del Perito Moreno.
Baño compartido con otra habitación, pero lo sabíamos antes de la contratación y no supuso mayor problema.

Reviewed Jul 1, 2025Patricio fue muy amable con nosotras todo el tiempo. Estuvo atento para responder nuestras dudas por WhatsApp y hacernos recomendaciones. La habitación tenía una cama cómoda y el baño compartido era agradable. También tenía una buena ubicación, cosa que es fundamental en el Calafate porque allí no funciona Uber ni otras plataformas de transporte.
Creo que le vendría bien un pequeño armario a la habitación para poder ordenar la ropa. También sería bueno, pero sé que esto puede ser más discutido, algo de proteína en el desayuno incluido en el hospedaje, ya sean huevos o jamón. Pero esto es un común denominador de la alimentación argentina, muy centrada en el dulce y las harinas, y que difiere de la nuestra.

Reviewed Apr 10, 2025The B&B is situated perfectly. It's near to the supermarket, the main street and laguna nimez. It's very clean and the kitchen is very well equipment. Patricio and sandra are such kind hosts! They made us feel really welcome and checked in with us everyday about breakfast times. The only downside for us were the beds. We found the mattresses quiet hard for our taste.

If you live in the 2nd floor, stairs are very inconvenient to bring up bulky luggage I knew it was a shared bathroom but why it needs to be a shared mirror, waste bin and hair dryer is unclear to me - these items could be placed individually inside the room, the space allows of it Just 1 socket in the room inconveniently located behind the bed

Reviewed Jan 20, 2025This is one of the best B&B I’ve stayed. Actually it looks more like a boutique hotel. It was recently renovated so everything is new but most important is the warm welcome from the owners Sandra and her husband. They are there to help in any way and they even took my mail to the post office while I was taking a tour. The breakfast is super complete and delicious. The whole building has good heating in case the weather is cold. The property is located just three blocks away from the city center and has a very good nearby bakery, supermarket and a pharmacy. I fully recommend this place.
