Confort , élégance , endroit paradisiaque dans la médina . Un oasis de calme , les petits déjeuner de saloua et sa gentillesse !
Rien parfait
Breakfast was excellent and varied day to day.
The Riad has been renovated to a good standard and it’s a great mix of contemporary design and Moroccan influences. It’s spacious, clean, big beds (mattresses: firm to hard) nice bed linen and towels, lovely dining table and sitting area, good location. The housekeepers are lovely and helpful. However, when we arrived the pool was dirty and the filter didn’t clean it. The pool then developed a small leak which turned into a huge leak and flooded the roof of the Riad. It took 3 days to repair - the pool needed a new filter and pump. This was nobody’s fault - these things happen from time to time but the way the owners dealt with this was unacceptable. They refused our request for reasonable compensation (only 10% of the cost of the stay) because the pool was broken and dirty for 3 days - the weather was hot - 38 degrees. They offered only 5% but on the condition that we wrote a highly rated review that maintained their current rating. We didn’t want to compromise our integrity and mis-lead future guests so couldn’t accept this unreasonable condition. We now wonder how many of the reviews are genuine. Guests should also know that there is cctv on the roof terrace/pool area which may make some feel uncomfortable and there is a strong smell of sewage that rises up through the plumbing in the en-suite shower rooms - there are no doors on the en-suites which means the smell fills the bedrooms. The lovely housekeeper does try to mask the smell with room scent/oils but this isn’t always effective. There’s also a sewage pipe in the corner of the pool so there is a periodic sewage smell that fills the pool and terrace area. The owner advised that this is a known problem because the sewage system frequently backs up. The kitchen is not fully equipped for a self catering holiday - if you’re staying for 3 or 4 nights and/or plan to dine out every day you’ll be fine but guests staying longer will find it challenging to prepare proper meals.
The cctv on the roof terrace/pool area made us feel uncomfortable but we understand the need for security systems. It may make you feel uncomfortable too, especially if you’re travelling with children. The strong smell of sewage was very unpleasant- it rises up through the plumbing in the en-suite shower rooms - there are no doors on the en-suites which means the smell fills the bedrooms so it can be difficult to sleep properly. The kitchen is not fully equipped for a self catering holiday - if you’re staying for 3 or 4 nights and/or plan to dine out every day you’ll be fine but guests staying longer will find it challenging to prepare proper meals (tiny chopping board - ok for a large apple but nothing bigger - bendy/thin carving knives, small frying pans - only big enough for 2-3 people, no washing up bowl, no plug for the kitchen sink, no tea-towels provided etc).
We had a wonderful stay. The riad was big and spacious, spotlessly clean, and had a fresh, welcoming feel throughout. The beds were very comfortable, which made for a restful stay. Breakfast was a real highlight, freshly prepared each morning by Saloua, who was excellent throughout our stay. Her cooking was delicious, and her cake was absolutely to die for! She really made us feel at home, and the whole experience felt like a home away from home. Highly recommend this riad for anyone visiting Marrakesh, we couldn’t have asked for a better stay.
We didn’t like that we had to leave!
The breakfast was beautifully served every morning. A lovely selection of breads etc. Traditional breakfast. However we did comment some nice fresh fruit from the wonderful market on our doorstep would have made it even better. The rooms, beds everything was top notch. Stayed with all our family age 75 to 12. Suited all of us. Highly recommend
It Was perfect.
We arranged to be picked up by the host which was great, they also arranged to take our cases to the Riad as the car is not able to go that far. When we arrived we were warmly greeted by Saloua and here husband and were made to feel so welcome despite the fact that we arrived early as our rooms were still being cleaned. We were given Moroccan mint tea and some delicious sweet pastries very welcome after our travel so we didn't mind waiting. All the bedrooms were fantastic and so clean. I just loved the way the Riad was set out so comfortable to chat away once we got back after our day out. The terrace was so peaceful to be able to relax with the plunge pool. One thing we all loved was how quiet it was once off the main street the noise just disappeared. I would 100% stay again.
Nothing, everything was great.
Great location, comfortable bedding, super breakfast prepared be the local lady doing the housing. Owner and the hosts are very friendly, we had everything to feel comfort while staying in Marrakesh.
The Riad is simply beautiful, and spotless. Everything in it is of a high standard. Saloua and her husband greeted us warmly and made us feel very at home. Saloua made us breakfast every morning, at a time that suited us and did the necessary housework, a big bonus. They are a truly lovely couple and answered any questions we had, ordered taxis for us to and from the airport. They really did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. The Riad itself, is as beautiful as it is in the photos. Having bedrooms that are all ensuite for a family of six adults, was ideal. The roof terrace is a haven from the hustle and bustle of the Medina, a real luxury. There is nothing negative I could say about staying here. It was a wonderful place to return to after a busy day.
There is nothing negative I could say about staying in this riad
the cleanliness was very good nice hosts good food facilities good
the hot water wasn’t working for a few days
We really had an incredible stay at the Riad, the house was absolutely gorgeous. We came as a group of friends and had the best time ever. All small details were thought of and the breakfast each morning made by Saloua was great to wake up to. The hosts were very easy to contact and offered help wherever they could. This has been my third time to Marrakech and can say that this has been one of the nicest places to stay, look forward to coming back in the future!
Okay …. Where to start, let’s start at the beginning. Travelled with my young family of 5, including my sister and brothers other half’s so in total it was 9. Although the Riad is for 8 people 3x2 double bedrooms and downstairs it has 2x single beds, we got in touch with Lea at the beginning to mention that our youngest sleeps with us still as she is 2 years old, and Lea had no issues and even left her baby crib for us. This Riad is exceptional for the value and money. Its is recently renovated 2023 November and we visited 31st May-7th June 2024. This Riad is situated only a 20 minute walking distance from the main Median souk Markets. We visited a few times to see the snake charmers and buy some local garments. But this Riad is situated near * Babadukala mosque if you say this very taxi driver knows its. I say near because you can’t drive directly to the Riad, you can take a moped/scooter but not a car. This means it’s roughly 3 minute walk from the Babadukala mosque. It’s walking through the hustle and bustle of the daily life’s of the Marrakesh people and markets which a nice thing to be in the midst of to make the experience that overall more authentic. * prior to arrival Lea send a actual WhatsApp video showing how you walk from her mosque to the Riad. I would advise that you speak to Lea to organise some local men to have the suitcase carried services should you have a big family like ours with many suitcases. This will cost 50 dirhams or €5 for the drop off
It’s was very contemporary yet classic Morroco vibes. It’s extremely pleasant and nice space, we loved the bedrooms, the ground floor entertainment area. But the roof terrace with the plumb pool and eating areas was amazing! At night it’s so bliss!!
The place was stunning, super clean and spacious! The location is great too, only a short walk to the centre of the Medina. The host Saloua was amazing, super accommodating and did everything she could to make our stay special and at home.
We like how kind and accommodating the caretaker was. And the villa is so beautiful and clean!!! ++ it smells very good too! highly recommend! 🤍
